Name: Kiel Feih
Nation of Origin: Toprak
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Age: 22
Ability: Earthbending; Primarily Metal Bending
Weapon of Choice: Metal Gauntlets. He likes them because he can shape them using his metal bending. Also it's a source of metal always on hand. Much like a water bender and a vessel of water. Hand to hand combat!
Biography: Born from a slave, his metal bending mother, Kiel was the bastard son of a Toprakian noble. Denied existence by his father he lived with his mother while they served in his household. Needless to say his birth caused a lot of commotion in the household, yet he never suffered any negative effects from it. However his mother was treated especially harsh by orders of the head of the house's, his fathers, wife. However most slave masters did not hit him for he had the blood of their employer. Kiel doubted if his father would have cared otherwise.
As Kiel grew older his mother discovered that he inherited his father's earth bending. She cried tears of joy knowing that he still had hope for a normal life. Sadly no matter how much she pleaded with his father, he would not adopt him or teach him earth bending. His mother always said it was his wife's fault, she had always resented their existence. For they were a constant reminder of the affair that brought Kiel into the world. Despite this Kiel's mother tried to teach him as much as she could about bending, but not being an earth bender, Kiel hardly learned anything. But he did develop a bit of metal bending, but his mother made him promise to hide it.
As Kiel grew older, his mother grew weaker. She could hardly work anymore, the affects of a life in slavery were taking their toll. It wasn't long before shew grew ill and slipped away one night before his eyes. Her last words to her son was that he could be much more than a slave. A few years later when Kiel was 18 he escaped from his slave quarters late at night. When morning came he expected to have to hide from pursuers or slavers but none came, playing it safe he camped in the forests for a few weeks.
Eventually Kiel made his way to Ba Sing Sae where he first learned about the world around him. He heard stories of the Dark Avatar and legends of the old one. Realizing this world was very different than the one he lived in, he spend months teaching himself how to read and basic math, using many of Torpaks renowned libraries. He also practiced his metal bending, despite being able to get trained in earth bending. Kiel resented using earth bending, he preferred to use the bending which his mother had known, not wanting to show any relation to his father. His mother was his only parent.
Eventually after years of training when he turned 21 he heard of Jasmine Dragon and the power struggle. After meeting with a member he requested to join, since he had yet to actually experience the world, and joined them. For a few months he trained in many types of combat but eventually decided not to use a weapon. But instead he wanted to use metal gauntlets because it was easier for him to bend with. He still keeps his bending a secret from most so most people think he is a non-bender. They are often puzzled when they see his weapon of choice as a non-bender would most likely die using it.
Special Information: He dislikes using his earth bending. Most people even after he joined Jasmine Dragon, do not know if he even is a bender. Remembering his mother's advice he doesn't show anyone. Sadly since he spent most of his life in slavery, he isn't very well educated and isn't well versed in the ways of the world. Often forgetting manners. He likes to eat a lot since he didn't try much food besides bread before escaping. Also do to all of his labour as a slave and training since escaping he packs a rather strong punch, combined with his bending he could probably kill someone with a sucker punch to the head.
So I'm just gonna wait for Snake to read this over, meanwhile I'm going to read the IC. Just incase your puzzled by this sudden CS, Snake told me to go ahead and post it. We've did an RP before so I hope this one is just as fun.
