The sun blazed over a battlefield like a spotlight, showing off a war of epic proportions, or rather, its aftermath. Heroes and villains alike lain on the ground, dead or otherwise heavily wounded. Some struggled to escape to fight for another day, however. One man looked at the battlefield from atop a large quarry. A monstrous man dressed in a white cloak. His head was black and in the strange shape of a cross. His snarling face almost looked like a grin as he saw one person standing unbeaten: A red, pirate-like monster. The pirate monster chuckled as he looked to his fallen comrades.

“To obtain something, you must give something up.” He muttered. He heard the rustling of armor and turned around to see one person struggling, not to run, but to fight.

“Basco...” A blue samurai with orange-colored armor readied two swords, one which has its blade look similar to a slice of an orange, and the other a black and gold sword with what looked to be a gun melded to its hilt.

“So... You still stand, Gaim?” Basco readied his cutlass, though only resting the blade on his shoulder with his right hand.

“This... This is my stage now!” Gaim ran towards Basco, swords ready to slash. He shouted, combining his swords together to form a naginata. He pulled away a strange lock that had been split in two on his belt and placed it on the naginata.

“LOCK ON! 1... 10... 100... 1000! ORANGE CHARGE!” With that, Gaim’s blades glowed orange. He swung the orange part of the blade towards Basco once he was close to him. At the same time, Basco twisted his left hand and shot Gaim with a pistol that he had not previously seen. However, the shot was not enough to phase Gaim, who managed to land the slash on Basco. Basco shot a few more times before he, along with Gaim, exploded in a fiery blaze. As the smoke cleared, the two fighters fell to the ground, brought down to human forms. Both of the fighters breathed heavily, though Basco’s breathing slowed.

“So... that’s how it is... Heh.” Basco soon dissolved into a blood-red cloud of dust. Gaim looked up to the sky, onto the blazing sun. He raised his arm up, trying to grasp the sun with his hand, though he too succumbed to his wounds, his arm dropping to his side. The white-cloaked monster left the battlefield once everything was still and the only sound was the whistling of wind. However, on the other side of the quarry, another cloaked figure arrived. Though now the cloak was black. The figure slightly waved its hand as its eyes glowed a fierce blue light. On its eyes were not pupils, but rather two black x’s, one for each eye. As the glowing began, the dead and wounded also glowed blue, and they all faded away in a bright blue light. All that remained were their weapons, including the Naginata.

JOURNEY THROUGH THE MULTIVERSE: JUST LIVE MORE

The very same Naginata was now shown on a display case in a museum, rusted to a dark brown. A blond-haired girl in a blue uniform showed the weapon alongside a Feudal Japan style painting of the two warriors, though depicted more like humans than the armored rider and pirate monster respectively.

“Nobody knows what time period the battle took place in, or the means of how it happened. Researchers have concluded, however, that the battle took place roughly a century ago, as that’s when explorers found the ruins and artifacts of this historical battle. All that is known was that a devastating battle took place between two massive armies, but with no bodies to be found. Legends say that a god came over and undid the damage brought onto this island, raising everyone from the dead... But that’s just one legend... Any questions before we move to the next exhibit?” She asked an audience of tourists. A kid raised his hand. “Yes, the one in the striped shirt.”

“So... What you’re telling me is that all these superheroes came forth and fought each other?” The kid asked.

“Each other... No. They fought together against a major threat.” The tour guide said.

“Are you sure this is an actual battle and not some weird gimmick for a recreational museum that’s trying to be hip?” The kid asked again.

“What do you mean?” The tour guide asked.

“I mean, seriously? A battle where numerous heroes and villains fought to the death? Heroes and villains from pop-culture? You just got that guy from Man-At-Arms to recreate the weapons for you.” He said. That’s when a man gave a slight cough. The kid turned to see him. He was a man with a black fedora, short brown hair, and wore a black waist coat.

“Well, it’s like Santa Claus. Just like how it’s up to the person to decide if he’s real or fake, you can decide if this battle happened or not.” The man said with a grin. The kid frowned.

“Santa’s fake!?” The kid soon ran off in tears as his parents came to console him.

“Um... Anyways... we should move on. This museum is growing. Each day we’re discovering new things about the island that we can show to you people. Maybe we may build technology off of these things and better our society.” The tour guide said. She led away to another part of the room. “For instance, we had just recovered a giant mechanical falcon with missiles installed to its wingtips.” Her voice distanced. The hated man tried to walk forward, but his shirt was grabbed by a man in a blue shirt. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and had a stubble.

“And just who the hell do you think you are for making that kid cry?” The man asked him.

“The name’s Sawyer. Danny Sawyer. You?” He said with a smug grin.

“Okay, cut the snark! You don’t go around and break people like that!” The man said.

“He’s a heckler. I decided to heckle back. Problem?” Danny kept on with the grin.

“I...” Just then, the man’s phone rang. “Excuse me, I gotta check this.” He said, leaving. Danny soon skipped away from the exhibit to go to the tourists.

When the brown-haired man got into the next room, he took out a strange device that looked like a silver GPS.

“Yes?”

Outside of Earth was a large blue spacecraft with a large red square on the top that almost looked like an M. The spacecraft looked more like a giant disk than an actual spaceship.

Its crew operated inside the ship. Most of them wore black suits with green lines going down from their shoulders to their legs, save for one. Sitting in a large chair in the center of the main bridge was a man with short blue hair. He wore a red military uniform with a black sash, sharing the green lines that the other crew members had. He looked into the holographic screen of the brown-haired man.

“Agent Santos, confirm that you are on Museum Island.” The man said.

“Yeah. I’m on it, Shane.” Santos said.

“Santos! Remember that on the field, you refer to me as Captain Sparks.” Shane said.

“Yeah... Sorry bout that. So, what’s phase two?” Santos asked.

“Phase two goes as follows: we have received word that a group of men have come to speed up the process of the excavation of Museum Island. Prevent them from salvaging anything that could threaten the balance of the Multiverse. Do you copy?” Shane asked.

“Read you loud and clea-” Just then, alarms rang.

“Captain Sparks! Recon units have found the group of men!” One of the crewmates said. A holographic image of two people in white uniforms with silver linings getting off of an apache helicopter showed next to Santos. “There’s only the two, but our Multiform Recognizer had pinpointed their origin point as well as whom they belong to! They’re-”

“The merchants of death... Nicholas, today’s the day you prove your training. Be wary of confronting the group. Their reputation for researching monster-creating weapons is unmatched.” Shane told Nicholas.

“But... I don’t have a weapon to fight with!” Nicholas said.

“That is why I said to be wary. You’re not an overnight hero. I’ll be sending back up for you and inform them of the situation. For now, stay undercover.” Shane said.

“... Roger.” With that, Nicholas hung up. Shane looked at the screen and wondered if Zyguard would be willing to duke it out with Foundation X. He sent the signal for several Zyguard members’ GPS-like devices. On them had the following message: “Requesting backup on Museum Island.”
On the island, right at the site where the final battle took place, the white-cloaked monster oversaw the excavation progress, seeing many white tents and archaeologists working around the clock to unearth the treasures. He heard the sounds of the apache hovering arriving the island. Again he shared that same grin, snapping his fingers.

“Come my minions, rise for your master… Come for Museum Island...”

{OOC: So, basic set up: Factionless, post how you’re spending your day either at Museum Island or elsewhere if you want to be teleported to Museum Island. Zyguard, the same applies, but you’ll get a text from the Captain about the need for back-up. Dai-Black Cross Army, the master asks for your summons as well. The creators of other factions can decide either how to write the OP for the rest of the members for their faction or go with Factionless.}

In her hotel room, Rain finished lacing up her boots, and completed the ensemble: placing a hat firmly on her head. It wasn't an outfit that she was particularly keen to go outside in, though. It was... well, it was revealing, and she felt that it hugged her figure a little too closely. The hat was part of her normal ensemble, though. Really, it was the leotard that made her the most anxious, though the coat was certainly more showy and less practical than the one she normally wore--and likely to get her in deep trouble with animal rights groups.

Typically, the worst possible thing that could happen to someone that didn't want to be seen happened: there was a knocking at the door. A door that Rain had, in fact, forgotten to lock. She also hardly had the time to get changed before answering.

"Wh-Who is it?"
Aboard the Zyguard ship, Yui looked dispassionately at the message and climbed to her feet, pushing away the empty plate that was all that remained of her lunch.12:03, exactly on time--and now she had to go rescue someone that had been sent out with no defences whatsoever. Foolish, really. Destination entry--five seconds, and then another five for the wall to materialise and wash over you.

That was all it took for Kamen Rider OOO to arrive on the scene, standing beside Nicholas and looking ahead for the opponents--unfortunately, not in view. Thus, the transformation into OOO was unnecessary, and Yui's backup defence (a wickedly sharp knife) was more than adequate for the meantime.

She didn't say anything to her comrade.
Chris... sort of answered the summons. She arrived in the right geographic area... and promptly set about relaxing on the beach, somehow getting some appropriate money from within her clothing and purchasing herself icecream. She'd run over in a little while; for now she wanted to take advantage of this lovely weather... plus she got less strange looks so long as she stayed on the beach. As long as she kept away from the surf, that is--a dragon would always get strange looks.

The martial artist rather wished that her old shoes hadn't fallen apart; it was kind of hard to acquire replacements in the middle of the Chinese wilderness... and here was no better, at least as regards price range.

Despite the fact that it was already noon, Moerin was still fast asleep. It had been a warm night, and she honestly wasn't too good with the heat... Why she'd ever moved to a tropical island was beyond her-

Oh wait, it was because of all the cute people in swimsuits.

But still, the heat was so exhausting... And she was supposed to be meeting some people today too, but... So exhausted, and the bed was so comfortable... But she couldn't show up late to see her friends just because of that. Reluctantly, she groggily slipped out of bed, stifled a yawn, and prepared to get dressed...

"Um... Let's see... What was it... Oh right, um... SPEAK YOUR WI-"

...Moerin must have still been sleepy, because she could've sworn she heard someone saying something. But oh well, must've just been her imagination. Soon she was dressed, and ready to head out into another sunny day on Museum Island. Despite her initial reluctance to get up, she was actually looking forward to today. She was going to see Anno and Rain, and they were going to check out that museum... Sure, it had a really cheesy gimmick (trying to pass movie props off as ancient relics? Please), but... She adored cheesy. Even better, she'd heard they'd opened up a Gaim exhibit recently, and that was something she definitely needed to check out.

"Hey! You, the hotty with the fedora! SPEAK YOUR WI-Gah!"

...Did she...? Nah, it must've been the wind. Definitely the wind. Moerin continued onwards, unaware of the fact that she was leaving a rather sizable trail of sand behind her. Realising she was running a little late, she started to pick up her pace a bit, only to run into...

"Hey, watch where you're going!" It looked like a tourist... A Japanese girl, dyed green hair tied into twintails, and wearing a rather small top and skirt. The girl sneered at Moerin as though she was something unpleasant she had found on the bottom of her shoe. "Someone like you shouldn't even be allowed to gaze upon my magnificence, let alone touch me! Ugh, and now there's sand on my boots!"

"Ah, um, sorry, ahah..." Moerin stuttered, quickly getting back to her feet. The girl looked pretty, but her beauty was betrayed the moment she opened her mouth. "I'll, um, just be going, okay? Ahah, sorry, um, sorry..." Quickly readjusting her hat and glasses, she rushed off again.

"Hmph, how pitiful..." The green-haired girl shot a look of content as Moerin left. Humanity really was pathetic, wasn't it? Not like her... She was the perfect human, after all. Once her evolution was finally complete...

"...Wait... What's... Is something following her?" Yagami Raiko, the perfect human, blinked in confusion as she saw what looked like a floating pair of legs made of sand, hovering above the top half of a girl with cat ears (also made of sand) trailing along the ground and seemingly chasing after Moerin. "...I hate this island already." Discarding what she'd seen, Raiko headed off to her destination, the place she felt that she needed to be right now... The museum.

Moerin, meanwhile, was still blissfully unaware of anything following her, or the fact that she was still trailing a considerable amount of sand. As she finally approached Rain's hotel, she came across a familiar face...

"Oh, hey Anno!" she said with a wave, as her sandy stalker dissapated from sight. She was still trailing sand, though... "I, um... I totally didn't sleep in by the way!"

"Gah! Where am I!?" Shinji was not a happy camper. He had almost avenged him dead parents, when he got swallowed up into a black hole inside a monster's chest. A black hole in it's chest! Really, that's just cheating. Through shear luck, him, his Advent Deck, and Magnugiga all survived the trip unscathed. However, now he was left stranded on a desolate island. All alone, with no hope for rescue! Wait...is that a hotel?...Okay, never mind. This isn't an uncharted island; it's a tourist trap...just great. Magnugiga had once again vanished despite being a big robot bull with heavy ordinance, so Shinji decided that it was safe to explore. He was able to enter the hotel easily enough 'so far so good. I was worried what kind of place a black hole inside of a monster's chest could send me. At the very least, if these people aren't human, they can't tell I'm not one of them. I read Science fiction books dammit! I know how stuff like that ends'. He was now in what he assumed to be the lobby...if this building was in fact a hotel, it was still to early to tell if he was still in his own world...or somewhere else. 'Eh, screw it. At the first sign of trouble, I start blowing stuff up'

John Shirkwood was not here for a vacation.

Okay, well, he was, but he'd only been able to convince the family to let him go after saying it was to study the native birds of the island. This was mostly true, as a tropical environment often had lots of birds. In fact, the sheer number was amazing after seeing all these plastic dolls laying around. He had thought the inhabitants of this island would be a bit more careful, but all these weird aliens- and at least one thing he could swear he saw on Power Rangers- probably belonged to the children of tourists.

Setting them in his research bag, and with data on the frequency of the nests, eggs per nest, and the like, he headed back to the hotel. Now that he'd gotten a believable amount of data about common species of parrots, it was time to relax for a change.

Arx lay face first in a mound of sand. His Geo Driver had deactivated as soon as he stepped into the strange portal he found in that pit. Groggily, he rolled onto his back and opened his eyes, and a bright light shone down upon him. He could hear the roaring and crashing of waves near him, he was obviously on a beach of some sort. He thought for a moment, because frankly none of this added up. He descended int the crevice and began digging...and it didn't work. Then, that giant rock monster had attacked him, and after a bit of a scuffle, Arx had managed to kill it, or break it, or maybe a mixture of both. Arx put all of his geological knowledge into overdrive until the realization hit him like a heavy spark. He sat up straight and scurried to his feet. This all vaguely matched the writings of a book he had read in grade school. Arx clapped his hands to the side of his face.

The device buzzed in her pocket.

Nomura Katsumi raised her eyebrows a reached into her pocket, grabbing the MPS and pulling it out. She tossed it into the air and caught it again, before finally taking a look at the screen. As she looked it over, her eyes lit up. Oh yes. Oh, that was just awesome! Things had been pretty quiet, recently. And while that meant that people were generally safe and okay... Katsumi really got a kick out of taking down bad guys. A huge kick. And this? This was just the kind of thing she wanted. "You better get ready, Santos-san..."

Swiftly, she selected her coordinates. Earth, Museum Island... Perfect. This... this was just going to make her day!

"Because you're about to get the best backup you could ever ask for!"

The grey wall appeared, moving towards her... but Katsumi didn't intend on waiting. Squaring herself up, she sprinted forward and dove through the wall, immediately appearing out of the other side. However, she didn't stop there. Appearing in mid-air, the black-haired girl thrust one leg out to contact with the ground. And yet, she still didn't stop there. Her landing was far too fast to be stopped so quickly. Katsumi grinned as her boot-clad foot tore through the ground completely, rending a gash in the earth beneath her foot. When she finally came to a halt, around twenty feet away, she slammed her other foot down onto the earth, straightening. Still grinning, her eyes closed, the short girl folded her arms across her chest.

"Look out, villains..."

All around her, the thunks of the arrival of her weapons of choice sounded. Katsumi's grin grew as she opened her eyes. All around her, in a perfect ring, there were swords. Each was of a different make, but they all gleamed in the light of the sun.

"Because Nomura Katsumi is here to take you down!"

... Of course, there were no villains in the immediate area. But that didn't matter, she would be fighting them at some point.
Anno took a deep breath, raising her hand. Okay, Rain wasn't going to be annoyed by her knocking. It was just nervousness getting to her, and that was silly. She knew Rain. Rain wouldn't be annoyed by her knocking on the door. But... what if she was busy with something? Anno didn't know what, but there might be something... The brunette shook her head and took another deep breath. No, no, she was going to knock on her friend's door. There was no reason to be nervous. She knocked once, and drew her hand back to knock a second time. But then... well, it was just then that she heard a rather familiar voice.

"O-oh, Moe!" Anno greeted her friend, turning to face her and rubbing the back of her head. She was kind of wondering where the taller blonde girl had been, intending to go and look for her after she got Rain... and, well, that denial had pretty much provided the explanation she needed. She smiled. It was definitely nice to see Moe, they were close friends. "It's nice to see you! I was just going to get Rain, eh-heh."

Her eyes slowly fell on the ground around Moe, and then behind her. She inclined her head to the side slightly in confusion. That... was a lot of sand... Did she take a shortcut across the beach?

And... it was right about then when she heard a voice from beyond the door. It was, obviously, Rain. Turning to face the door one more, Anno spoke, calling to Rain on the other side. "Um, it's Moe and me! Um, me being Anno, eh-heh, um..."
Slowly, she emerged. The gray wall had passed over her... of course, she had been attending to something important. But she informed her that she would be back, and laid the book down, and departed. It was vital. It was vital, it was the path to the power that she needed.

Wakahisa Shiori rose from the grey wall, her arms spread. The breeze caught her coat as she emerged, causing it to billow in the wind. At last, she emerged wholly from the portal, and it closed beneath her. She lowered her hands to her sides, her gaze shifting towards the ground. Slowly, she shut her eyes. Yes... this was yet another step towards attaining the power that she needed. Shiori needed it... to protect that which she cared about. And she always needed more. As much power as she could possibly gain. And Dai-Black Cross... it was the path to more power.

Shiori opened her eyes and raised her head.

Yes. This was her path.

And she would destroy anyone who blocked it.

Haika would stand in the middle of the dusty cave looking at the strange door that lit up in front of her. It gleamed a brilliant silver in contrast to the musky brown cave that surrounded it a emerald circle bonding the door.As she looked at it it seemed to be intercepted in dwarven writing. She'd stare at it then a piece of paper stained with age.it seemed to have a grey door with a green ring around it. "Tis doesn't seem right? It's all the wrong colors" Suddenly a roar would come from the skys above the cave and Haika would shiver dropping the piece of paper. As it floated down she'd attempt to catch it swatting it into a puddle.

With a look of defeat she'd sit down looking at the door and the piece of paper. that's ink had now melted into the puddle."Why do my arms have to be so tiny." she'd say as she sulked. Suddenly the loud sound of wings flapping would tear threw the air behind her startling her to run against the door. Once there she'd turn around noticing a flying cat that was right by her head, and would point at it with her little finger, "Aint cats supposed to be in cities.". To great suprise the cat came back with a rebuttal in the voice of what seemed to be a large male, "The same can be say about earth elf children," as he flew closer to her." How can you call me a earf Elth I'm a Moda," She siad knowing he wouldn't beleive she was a child. "Well you called me a cat did you not, and by my people I'm called Kinsa, how about you young one."

"Ha- ha Haika., but I've never seen a talking kity." She'd say feeling around for something, but when she finally would it would be the ring on the door causing it to shift down and open a passage way in between the rings that she would slide down. She would fall down into a room that appeared to be some kind of control panel. Meanwhile up abovee the cat would be coming down after her as he'd say "This is why i was told not to interfere with humans/ It seems curiosity is going to kill the cat." Suddenly Kinsa would fall hiting a large button on one of the panels as he came out of the chute.Suddenlyi t would begin closing the chute, as the machine seemed to begin activating. "Have no fear young lass. We just have to press it again to turn it off." Kinsa said pushing hte button again with his paw

"Now Initiating warp." The panels would stop shifting as it seemed if though reality was stretches around them before their very eyes. "Not a problem lets just press this..." Kinsa would say before getting his tail pulled on by Haika, "Bad kitty!".Before in a flash of light they were transported to the sky above a strange island. Haika would begin falling as Kinsa would catch himself before leaving a comment, "See no dragons were fine. Sigh the Imp can't fly yet can it." He'd say as she noticed she went missing and nose dived after her. When he caught up to the falling girl he'd notice she seemed to be fallling feet first, and say "At least try to catch you're fal, flap you're wings or something." Haika would hear him and begin flapping slowing her self until about 5 feet above the ground she actually seemed to flutter at least before she lost strength in her wings, and would fall on the cat that landed before her, both of them simultaneous saying "Oww!"

There was a flash of light far off and appearing on the island was a blonde haired teen. "I sware if this is one of Asuka's attempts at paying me back it was not a good one. Why did she take me to that backroom of her dojo or close to it?" She mumbled to herself. This was not a dojo in Japan by any means. It looked like there was a museum here as well. "How did I end up here? Last thing I remember was heading to the dojo with my friend for a lesson. Is this..could this be a trick by the Mishima corp to get rid of me while my father's oil fields are being taken away again? Lili stop talking to yourself and look for any sign of people." The teen chided herself and regaining her barings began walking along looking for any sign of life on this strange island.

ERU Barracks, Museum Island

Day 01, 1230

Jon was cleaning his handgun. This was normally a sign that he was bored stiff, and that someone in the ready room was hogging the PS4 so he couldn’t vent his boredom into that instead.

But then, being a member of a heavily armed SWAT team for a museum wasn’t exactly going to be the most exciting gig in the world, was it? After all, what museums even need such heavily armed security? He also couldn’t help feeling underwhelmed that he was the only one on the team who wasn’t ex-special forces or whatever.

He sighed, and pushed the slide back over the barrel, slipped the magazine into the bottom and stuffed it back into the holster on his thigh.

Then again, he didn’t really have time to be bored. He was due manning the gate line at 1300 after all, so he grabbed his jacket from the back of his chair and his vest from the end of his bunk, and headed off to the armoury to check out his P90.
Museum Main Entrance

Day 01, 1315

If anything, working the gate line was more boring than hanging around in the barracks, if only because there was stuff to do there when you were sitting around waiting for the balloon to go up.

Out on the gate line, watching the seemingly endless succession of people stream into and out of the museum, things got a little bit soul crushing, to the point where Jon was practically praying that someone would bump one of the cases or trip the security arch just so he’d have something to do other than stand there looking trying to look professional rather than like he was about to fall asleep.

A boy relaxed in the shade of one of the bigger trees in the area, though he was seemingly young enough and just far enough away from the more civilized areas of Museum Island that the sight of him was probably unusual based solely on the fact that he wasn't screaming for help or crying instead. There were actually several more unusual things about the napping boy, if anyone bothered to look closely enough. He was tanned enough to potentially pass for some sort of jungle native, but underneath several layers of grime he was apparently wearing what had been a white T-shirt at one time and a slightly torn up pair of what looked like blue jeans. Even more confusing was that despite the tropical heat, close examination would show that he was lying on a long jacket that had been spread out on the ground over a pile of leaves as a makeshift mattress. If only because of its bright color, the metallic blue crutch leaning against the roots of the tree was probably the most notable thing to anyone watching.

After a while the boy propped himself up against the tree, grabbed onto the crutch to haul himself up, then used it to pick up his jacket and shake it with an odd sort of flicking motion, in case anything else had thought it was a good place to nap. Then he put it back on despite the heat and started limping his way slowly toward the inhabited parts of the island, eyes sweeping the ground and the canopy but otherwise seemingly taking a cheery stroll through the jungle.

His parents always did pick the best vacations.

John tried to shoo away the parrots that seemed to be so infatuated with him once again, only for them to roost on his shoulders again and squawk at each other. A third came to rest on his backpack, pecking at the tin of raisins. While this would be a blessing while he was studying them, he was not so keen with them squawking right next to his ears.

And then a glint of blue metal caught his eye. And the child walking with the cane. And then he ran over.

"Oh, crap! Kid, are you alright?"

One of the parrots- he couldn't tell which- had mimicked the question.

Within a cave where poisonous waters fail to reach, a knight clad in golden armor, crafted to represent the visage of a lion, sits by a once powerful bonfire. The Dragonslayer, Ornstein, was reminiscing. In the past, he and the other knights of Gwyn had found themselves there in the poisonous swamp that is Blighttown. They were fighting the everlasting dragons within the valley of the Drakes. Oh, what times those had been! The Four knights of Gwyn, slayong dragons as comerades! Now one is dead, and the others are nowhere to be found.

A beeping sound came from Ornstein's side. The device that was given to him by his new allies, was giving him a new assignment. It had said, "Requesting Back-up on Museum Island." Ornstein had learned that "back-up" was another way of saying "reinforcements." The others probably sent someone unprepared. Formerly being in an army, he knew that it was bound to happen sometime. He did not find it amazing that things were still so similar between different groups and people.

Ornstein stood up, his armor shining from the light of the bonfire. He grasped his Spear in his right hand, and fiddled with the device in his left. out of pure habit, Ornstein gave a small, silent prayer before being teleported from his world to another. He found himself on Museum Island.

Roxy looked down at the chat client on her phone, giggling to herself as if typing cum instead of come was the funniest shit in the world. She had been trying to get Jane to answer her for the past hour or so, but it seemed the other girl was far too preoccupied with other stuff. Normally Roxy wouldn't care, but they were kinda in the middle of a game where the stakes were life or death. It was really worrisome when your friends didn't reply to you immediately.

With a sigh, Roxy put her phone away and looked at the portal in front of her. If Jane wasn't able to talk to her on pesterchum, then she'll just have to find her, herself. She took one step back, bending her knees ever so slightly. She was gonna do this. She was gonna jump in there like Roxy Hood saving Maiden Janey. Though, she was pretty sure she didn't have the hots for Janey. Way too tightass for her tastes and she most definitely preferred guys, probably. Maybe Roxy Hood saving Little Jane? Yeah, that sounded a hell of a lot better.

Shit, this was no time to be getting distracted. Wasting not another second on her wandering thoughts, Roxy dashed through the portal leading to Jane's planet. She felt the all too familiar sensation of being teleported somewhere else, though something was off about it this time. It was probably because she was actually sober for once while jumping through these things. That had to be it. Or not.

"Rolal is here to save the fuckin..." She paused, taking in her surroundings that were so not Jane's planet at all, "... day? What the flyin horse shit?"

Okay, there was no need to panic. She wasn't gonna flip her shit over this. It wasn't the first time the game screwed her over. She just had to figure out where she was and how to get back. Otherwise, she'd be the failest Roxy Hood that ever failed. First things first, find someone who can actually help her. Trekking the island, she searched for anyone that would give her the time of day, "Heeeey! Anyone there wanna help a girl out? It would be hella great if you did!"
____________

It had been a week or so since Coyote had sent Annie to the island. It had taken awhile, but she had found herself growing accustomed to staying here. Granted, she didn't socialize much with the other occupants. Not that she didn't want to, it just wasn't in her nature to just approach people she didn't know. It was even harder without Kat there to push her into talking to people. Since she had no one to 'hang out' with and she didn't want to be cooped up in her room, she decided to go for a walk in the more forested area of the island. She always felt most comfortable in areas with a high concentration of foliage. Possibly it was because of her fire elemental heritage? Even though fire and forests don't exactly mix well together. Though, it probably didn't count for the fire elementals as they were more of a natural fire than a man-made one. Well, whatever the case, she would continue to enjoy these pleasant walks and maybe she would eventually make friends she would be able to take with her.

A lone, green-haired woman viewed the exhibits within the museum, her crimson eyes taking in all the wondrous sights and relics. A pink, folded umbrella hung from the crook of her elbow as she motionlessly stared, her lips curled into the slightest of smiles.

This seemed like a fascinating war to the woman. Heroes and villains from all kinds of backgrounds clashing in an epic duel, ultimately resulting in this immortalised state? Oh, if only she had noticed, then Yuuka Kazami might have been tempted to jump in on the action. But alas, she was probably too busy kicking puppies or something when this was all going on. Such a dreadful shame, too... there might have been a really fun opponent somewhere in these ruins.

Oh well, at least she'd found a promising shrine maiden and magician back home to play with. And right now she was just taking a stroll outside of said home for the first time in a few hundred years, She'd like to see some flowers that simply couldn't grow in Gensokyo without her aid once more. Visit some memorable areas from her past, see if her antics were still fondly remembered... see some interesting sights like this...

The youkai finally broke her gaze to move on to the next exhibit. This war really was fascinating to the youkai. Once again, she wishe she had not missed her chance to play around in it.

The boy looked up at John while stopping to lean heavily on his cane, confused for a minute before managing to crack a smile at the echoing parrot and the other birds all perching on the apparent ornithologist. When he actually spoke to John, his voice was oddly hoarse, like he hadn't used it for a while.

"'M'fine. You're from the hotel or somethin' right? Does that mean I'm close to it? 's'been....five days I think, heading mostly inna straight line from where I got dropped off? Name's.." He seemed to think something over before continuing to talk "August. August Lim. I like your birds mister, they're mostly parrots, right? I've seen lots of parrots before and fed some out of my hand but not all of them looked like those even though some of them did and there were lots of them on my way here. It was...really hard to resist hunting them on the way here for food but I couldn't remember all the different ones protected under the law and I don't think it'd be very good to eat endangered birds unless I was really starving and they were easy to catch, so mostly I ate fruits and bamboo shoots. Are those raisins? I hate raisins but I think I'd eat anything that wasn't boiled bamboo shoots and I'm pretty sure anything includes raisins now. I'll share them with the birds if you want and could you point me in the direction of the hotel because I think that's okay and I'm really tired..."

It seemed that now that he had someone to talk to, August kept having words flood out of him without really being able to help himself.

Eventually Lili happened upon the museum. At least that was a familiar building to her as in Tokyo she had seen alot of meseums. Cautiously she walked up the steps and inside where she noticed there seemed to be alot of people checking out the various displays. Hopefully this place would have a information booth. Or at least she hoped.

Occasionally as she was walking around she would stop to catch a bit of the tour guides explanations as well as check out the various displays. "So these displays must mean something importaint happened her." She said to herself.

"Um, really, I didn't!" If there was one thing Moerin was terrible at, it was lying. "...Well, maybe I slept in a little longer than I intended, but... But it was really only a few ho-minutes!" Clearing her throat awkwardly, she smiled at her friend. "Nice to see you too~ As for Rain... Let me try!"

Pushing Anno out of the way, Moerin knocked a few times, before simply trying to open the door and finding it to be unlocked. And then she saw...

...She saw nothing. Not a thing. Not Rain in some embarrassing outfit, nope, not at all. As her cheeks started to take on a pinkish hue, she carefully closed the door, making sure that Anno never saw inside. She didn't want to embarrass Rain any further, after all.

"...So, I guess she'll be a bit longer, huh?" Laughing nervously, Moerin wrapped an arm around Anno's shoulders, pulling the two of them close together. "So I guess I'll just have your cute little butt for company, eheheh."
"Hmph, so this is what I came here for?" Raiko's nose wrinkled in disgust as she stared at the exhibits. Museums were supposed to be filled with beautiful artwork, or interesting relics of times long past... So what was with all this plasticky garbage lying around? It all looked like props from old TV shows... Not that she recognised any of them, though. Television was something that should not be confused with true culture, for it was crass and vulgar, something completely unbefitting the tastes of the perfect human that she was. "If I wanted to be surrounded by the refuse of inexplicably popular culture, I would have just went to Akihabara! At least, if I wanted to be surrounded by ugly, sweaty, perverted delinquents..."

Raiko... Clearly wasn't enjoying her time here. But soon, very soon, she would find the thing she came here for. She didn't know what it was, all she knew was that she would know it when she saw it.

Fingers played with hair as Rain frantically thought about how to salvage this meeting. The most risky option was clearly to just open it and hope that her friends wouldn't laugh; she'd never been seen like this, after all. In their previous meeting the tall female had stuck to a heavy sweater and jeans, then put her normal coat on after that. Never had the girl considered showing off her figure (or what there was of it). She didn't think all that much of it, by far.

Rain sat down on the room's bed and rapidly began undoing the knots on her boots and flicking them off. She could try putting on something else but that would probably be uncomfortably hot for this weather, even for someone who approached summer with an attitude espousing wearing long sleeves at all times. Clearly, this was not a good choice, either.

So that left option number three, and the one she was already starting on: get unchanged and dressed as quickly as possible, and hope the two outside didn't notice a thing. It was already starting to verge into 'taking too long to answer the door', however—Rain was unlikely to get particularly far with this plan. At best, she would get down to just the leotard, since that didn't require removing too much in the way of attire, before one of the two visitors thought to try the door and learned that it was unlocked.

In reality, none of the problems or difficulties that Rain was imagining were the slightest bit likely to come true but once she started thinking about something, she would follow it to its ridiculous and somewhat panicked conclusion.

Thus, when Moerin finally opened the door out of concern for her friend, only to find the pale girl halfway through moving the leotard, there was no mockery, no jibes--just embarrassment all around and a door quickly shut once more. It successfully threw Rain's mind back on track and, giving up, she put the skintight attire on properly and shuffled over to the door, face crimson as she opened it and hair falling over her eyes, glasses neatly in their case inside her coat.

Anno looked up at her friend, as the blonde girl tried to make hurried denials about sleeping so late. It was really kind of obvious what had happened, at least, Anno was sure about that. But it was okay, as long as Moe was here now. And, well... Anno had kind of slept late a few times before too. Though not recently at least. However, even with the warning, she was a bit surprised when Moe pushed her out of the way. But she straightened, a bit flustered, and took a deep breath. And... the door opened.

Anno didn't get a chance to see what had happened, but a few moments later, the taller girl had already shut the door firmly, and she was... blushing a little? Anno wasn't entirely sure what could have happened to cause any of that... she was really pretty confused in general, what had just happened? Was Rain not ready?

When Moe spoke, that seemed to explain.

"Oh, um, so she isn't ready," Anno replied, nodding a little. That didn't explain the blush but it made sense at least... And then Moe pulled her close. Anno let out a small noise that could best be described as a squeak, her cheeks reddening slightly as she was pulled close to the taller girl. And then... then her comment about her... her... "W-w-wah... M-Moe, th-that's j-just... just..."

It was really really embarrassing! Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red, and it was right about then that the door opened to reveal Rain in... in a... really odd choice of outfit...

"... H-hi..."
