The sun was setting across the horizon of the desolate city, and night was approaching fast. The streets were practically empty except for the abandoned vehicles and ocassionally walking corpse. Moses crouched as he ran in an attempt to stay hidden. He was trying to find a safe place to bunker up for the night without the threat of being eaten in his sleep. His rifle was slung over his shoulder and he kept his eye out for any wandering zombies that might catch him off guard, but luckily he had managed to avoid the stragglers attention. There weren't any hordes around this part of the city present so if he kept low he would be able to avoid detection.

He eventually stopped when he found a decent place. An old church that had been abandoned before the apocalypse even began The windows were already boarded up, and the wall were built from some pretty strong stone, and easily defensible place as long as he was careful. "Alright girl, you ready to go check it out?" His black Siberian Husky, Joan barked in response. He pushed the door open and she slid through the crack to explore the inside of the building. Joan was a smart dog, fast and quiet she usually went on these surveys for him since she had a much easier time evading zeds than he did. He readied his rifle to hold his ground until Joan returned to give him an all clear.

Ieasha was walking through town with her machete out and the rest of her weapons sitting securely in their holsters., she had been taking one of the safer routes through the city that involved roofs. Alexander was on the ground below her taking down the occasional interested loud mouthed zombie for her. He was a great companion to have around. Always loyal and never afraid to be alone, well he wasn't that alone seeing as after every rooftop she dropped him a milk bone.

As they made their way to the ever abandoned church they had been calling home for a while now Alexander started growling silently, Ieasha put away her machete annd took out he pistols as she locked them onto a black man invading her home.

Eve sighed as she ruffled through the bags that were filled with food. "Eden." She calmly announced as she watched him come out the bathroom. "We don't have enough food.." Eden smiled widely, "Don't worry!" He pounded his chest as his eyes showed a hint of excitement. "We'll get enough and if we don't I'll just share some with you." Eve smiled as she got up and locked up the house. They decided to stay put for a while and scavenger around random houses.
Eve sat comfortably on the couch as she slowly closed her eyes. Eden sat right next to her, laying his head on her shoulder. Eve sighed as she scratched her black eye patch. Each was born with an almost blind eye. As they grew up it was uncomfortable so their mother gave them an eye patch. Eden sat straight up as he heard those nasty creatures growling and gnawing right outside their door. Eve didn't seem to care so Eden decided to ignore it. Eve seemed as if she got used to it but Eden wasn't. He didn't like the feeling of looking at the undead. Yeah yeah, he's supposed to be the manly one but he isn't. As you can see, Eve's the strong one, Eden's the coward.

Joan started scratching at the door to let him know the inside was officially zombie-free. "Thatta girl." Moses was about to open the door when he saw some random girl pointing two pistols at him. Without a second thought he pointed his M1A at her head, peering down the scope. "Ma'am is there any reason why your pointing guns at me?"

The high sunlit clouds drifted lazily across the clear blue sky as Cecily strolled about through the desolated road. Aside from the wrecked cars and the occasional grunt of a lurker, it appeared to be an ordinary day. One of those rare days from before, where people weren't dropping like flies and reanimating shortly after. "If I didn't know any better..." Cecily sighed, fastening the straps of her backpack. "I would think I was just on my way home from class." But of course she wasn't. And things aren't ever going back to those days. As if to reassure her of that thought, a rotting soulless body moaned towards her, acknowledging her existence. Lucky for Cecily, that was the closest one to her, and as long as she didn't make any loud noise or wrong moves, she wouldn't need to engage the reanimated corpse. Instead, she quickened her pace, effortlessly leaving the thing behind and sticking to turned cars and the occasional tree. She was done scavenging for the day, so it was time to leave the town and walk to the nearest house.

"I still have enough time," Cecily murmured, as she looked up at the sun's position. She turned her attention back towards the road, making sure that her field of view wasn't obstructed.

"Yes, that is my home. I'll harbor you for the night but you are leaving in the morning or by god you will be sitting on the ground dead.:" Ieasha said nonchalantly as she crept back along the roof with Alexander now in front of the man snarling.

When she made it down from the roof's ladder on the back she slowly walked over to the man with her pistols still pointed at his head. "What's it going to be?"

Eve tightly held Eden's hand and smiled gently. "Let's check out if the coast is clear." She hit her knee's as she stood up abruptly and pointed towards the door. " Vamonos!" She said smiling. Eve was hoping Eden would understand what she was trying to say. Eden just stared at her, confused. "Wat." His mouth stayed open as he tried to process what just happened. "Ugh." Eve sighed planting both her hands on her hips as she swayed side to side. "We learned it in Spanish class! At least I paid attention!" Eve smiled slyly and continued. "It means let's go. Dummy." She giggled as she walked towards the door. She was hoping to see Eden laugh. Ever since their parents died they took things a bit too serious. Eden slightly giggled as he followed behind.
Eve unlocked the door taking a small peek. "Uh oh." She muttered as she noticed a young girl walking down the streets. Eve squinted her one eye as she asked a question to Eden. "What is that? Human or Walker?" She whispered as she pointed at the girl. Eden shrugged but decided to say it was a walker. "I'll be right back. Imma go get them weapons." He went inside the living room and grabbed his favorite weapon. The brass knuckles knife. He then grabbed a hold of the nailed baseball bat, making sure not to poke his hand. After he was done, he walked outside and tossed Eve her baseball bat. "Thanks." Eve said catching the weapon.
She pointed out that the girl seemed to have a white shirt with a noticeable red 'X' on it. She also mentioned that the girl had sort black shiny hair. The thing is, they didn't notice that the girl was human and she was holding a backpack. Eden followed behind Eve as he watched Eve clutch tightly on her baseball bat. Eve raised her baseball bat from behind as she smirked.

Moses kept his aim with the rifle, not showing even a sliver of weakness. He rolled his eyes at the woman apathetic response which was more annoying than insulting. The way she was acting really made him not want to give her the satisf.action of his surrender but with the sun going down he didn't have much choice. She was the first live face he had seen in months and something about that fact made the rest of the whole feeting feel even more unpleasant. He slung the rifle back over his shoulder and held up his hands "Whatever lady, I ain't trying to antagonize anyone here."

Joan started barking from inside the church and he remembered she was still inside. "That's just my dog, Joan. She ain't gonna be any trouble once I calm her down."

Alexander looked Ieasha's way and she gave him a curt nod, Alexander snarled and tackled the man to the ground as Ieasha ran over to the door and closed it locking the sweet little husky inside. She knelt down next to the man Alexander had tackled with her pistol at his throat as she disarmed him and put on his weapons. All the while Alexander bit at his leg and snarled.

When finished Ieasha got up and backed away, so did Alexander though he was a bit more reluctant. Ieasha smiled and looked at his weapons. "Nice, thank you very much sir. Now, welcome to my home. You'll get these back at the end of your stay unless you want me to end you now."

After a few minutes of walking, hustling and avoiding the troublesome lurkers, Cecily finally arrived near the outskirts of the town, where all the houses were mostly located. She walked past the first few, immediately crossing them off her list since they weren't to her taste. Sure it was an apocalyptic world, and the only thing of her mind should be survival. But come one, a house with smashed windows? a red roof with a yellow garage door? Forget it, she had exquisite preferences that needed to be met. Her eyes stole a quick glance at the sky, ever so often, noting the position of the sun. Eventually, she would have to settle with one of the houses. And she probably had to make sure it was clear of lurkers, so she needed to make up her mind.

Wait...Something doesn't seem right.. Cecily stopped in her tracks and concentrated on her surroundings, trying to see and hear as much as possible. Almost as soon as she stopped, Cecily's ears twitched to a soft rustling behind her. A Lurker? She thought, not daring to turn around yet. That's impossible. At this distance I should hear a moan or two...that means... Without wasting another second contemplating it, Cecily turned around, spotting two figures from the corner of her eye. One was dangerously close to her while the other a few feet away. She decided to deal with the closest threat, and while still turning around, sweeping her foot along with her and colliding it with the stranger's side. However, since she did it all in one sweeping motion, there was barely any strength involved.

"What in the actual fuck lady?!" Moses was less than pleased that the girl had her dog tackle him and maul his leg very unnecessarily. He was even more unhappy that she had stolen his shit, He would've given up his guns if she had just asked him to. He was really starting to rethink the whole not shooting her thing. He stood up, grumbling as he brought himself back to his feet. "You got a real fucking way with people lady!" Dusting himself off he grabbed his bag off the ground. "You try any of this shit with my dog and we'll have problems, you get me?"

Iesha smiled at the man and nodded, she had just wanted his weapons knowing that he probably wouldn't have given them up any other way. "Why would I hurt that beauty? She is innocent enough on her own. I said you would get your things back later, for now you can leave me be and rant or join me in my home." She looked over at Alexander and patted him on the head.

Alexander gave her a rough whimper as he went over to the man and licked his leg. Ieasha threw him a bandage and some peroxide. "Here you go." She muttered as she opened the door and stepped inside.

James Hunter sprinted down the street, his rifle strapped to his back, his kukri machete in its sheathe, and his pistol at his hip, while he sprinted for his life from what was literally a horde of zombies. He spotted two people standing in front of the old abandoned church, knowing that the horde was too focused on him to notice them, so he yelled to them. "Hey! You two! Get your asses inside!" he yelled, while continuing to sprint in their direction, while planning to sprint past them.

As the girl swiftly kicked Eve, she fell on the floor. Eden stared at both of them as she chuckled. He then noticed the young girl, surprised he stepped back. "Oh...uh..My sister here thought that you were a.." He gulped but continued speaking. "A walker." He then walked towards Eve grabbing her and picking her up. "Sorry." He said awkwardly laughing as he stuffed his weapon inside his pocket.
Eve rested her baseball bat on her shoulder. Her smirked face slightly turned into a frown. "....Your name?" She said with a sassy tone. She reached for Eden's hand and grabbed it.
Eden smiled, "sorry for her acting rudely. I'm Eden. That's Eve." He said nodded his head, "This is possibly the first we've seen a living person out here!" He said excitedly. He suddenly had a feeling this was going to be a good day considering there were still some Walkers. His eyes widen as she remembered something. "Right! We were just heading to see if everything was alright. I wouldn't mind to invite you to our house?" He scratched the back of his head, chuckling. "Well...It really isn't our house. We randomly found it! But still! Stay with us for a while?"

Cecily straightened her stance and took a few steps backwards. She was still in full defense mode, her eyes flickering between the crazy bat girl and what appeared to be a genderbent clone of that girl. Twins...? He got closer to them and helped the girl up. However, Cecily didn't relax a single muscle of hers. She was still debating on whether she should bring out her weapon or not. After all, she might have to fight against two people. She needed an escape route, and fast. But how?

"...stay with us for a while?"

What? Cecily turned her attention back to the twins, realizing the male one had been speaking with her the whole time. Maybe they weren't hostile? Doesn't matter. I still can't trust them.. Her eyes then rested on the sky, where the sun was slowly setting on the horizon, ready to end the day. Forget it, getting shelter is more important right now, Cecily. She turned her attention back to the twins and relaxed her stance. Although she hadn't heard a single word they had said to her, she assumed they were inviting her to their shelter. "Lead the way."

Moses sighed taking the offered bandages and peroxide. There was no point in fighting with this girl on the issue any more. He started following her inside when he saw some dude running from a horde heading right in their direction. "Come the fuck on!" He had literally been extra careful not to get mixed up with any hordes and now there was one right here while he was unarmed. It was shit like this that made him realize why he never went to church. "Any chance I get my guns back now?"

Alexander barked and snarled at the horde as Ieasha simply shook her head and pushed the man inside the church. Once she and Alexander were safely in she started on her way going to every window and checking on the boards she had put on both the inside and outside. Then she went to every door and put a wooden two by four in each handle to block it as she and Alexander started to push the pews to the door for extra support.

Once they finished boarding everything up Ieasha set a bowl of food and water down for the dogs and took out her MP7 as she put the barrel in a small hole in the window and silently waited tossing the man his rifle. "Go check out the doors again, they may need extra support...then go to the other side and get prepared for a fight if needed."

Moses caught his rifle and instantly went to inspecting making sure in amount of time it wasn't in his hands that it hadn't been changed at all. He tossed his hat to the ground. He slung the rifle back on to his shoulder so he had his hands free when he checked and reinforced the doors. The boards the girl had set were secure and the pews pushed against the door should've been able to hold the door shut, but if the entire horde pushed against it they'd get through for sure. "Anything in the basement or attic we can use for extra support? Some extra doors or something?"

"I stocked the basement, the brain dead can't get through the door there so if we can make it we'll be in the clear." Ieasha murmured as she left the window and opened the basement door guiding Alexander in and moving their food, she also tried to move the husky in too. Once she had either accomplished or failed at the task she went back to her post and started to hum a comforting song that broke the silence.

Joan was skeptical to follow the woman at first, not used to being around and all. Moses simply nodded his head reassuringly and she complied following the German Shepard into the basement. He'd much rather her down there than up here if the horde did manage to break through he loved that dog too much to watch her be eaten by a bunch of rotten corpses.

His leg was still wounded from the shepard's bite and he limped over to his own post to try and patch the wound before the fighting started. Sitting against the wall he lifted up his right pant leg and began to pour a bit of the peroxide on it. There was a slight stinging sensation but he had been through much worse since the zeds happened. Once the sting subsided he started wrapping the bandages over the wound and made sure they were on tight. The task now complete, he removed a crumpled carton of cigarettes from his pocket and sighed realizing he was down to three left. Fuck it that was a worry for another day. He placed the cigarette between his lips and lit it with the Zippo from his pocket. Now if he died he could say he had a final smoke first.
