Yes. If the creator approves, a character can be killed off. Just uh... try to make it a plausible death. Not just.. 'Oops. I'm bored so Eric tripped on a banana and died.' Over-exaggeration, but it still applies.

At the moment, nothing is damaged, but it has been proven that one can set the dormitories on fire.

You'll need more fire than that. The way we set the dorms on fire was make a demon and a dragon man have a massive fight in the middle of the Student Center.

EDIT: Actually, you might be able to set the dorm on fire without demons or dragons. All you need is a nice amount of gasoline to get the job done.

Surely a mage/pyromaniac and a lighter would work as well

It can really be anywhere we want. I would just as well assume America for my own convenience but really, it can be anywhere. But yeah... my vote is for America.

Gender: Male
Species/Race: Unicorn!
Powers: He can throw rainbows at people...like rainbow bolts, the bolts really just confuse people with a slight dealing of damage. He can also make people laugh uncontrollably with the bolts. He can fly, but he can only fly for 2 minutes before running out of energy and falling. He can talk to other horse like creatures. He can transform into his true unicorn form, in which he can also fly and stab people with his horn.
Weaknesses: He's afraid of fire and he can't use his powers if he is restrained.
Personality: Darwin is very hyperactive and really hates no one...except those who ruin his fun. He lives for fun and loves joy and making people laugh. He always likes to talk and is a bit of a chatter box never stopping even when people have stopped listening.
Background: Darwin was born to two hateful parents who hated him because he had unicorn blood in him like his grandfather who was given unicorn blood into him as a gift from a unicorn he had saved making him have magical powers and they didn't. He reminded them that they were lower class and he was in fact an accident, basically they didn't want him. One day they abandoned Darwin at a hotel, but the hotel manager took him in out of pure niceness. He was raised by the nice man who was very jolly and helpful. He never went to school so he would always talk and talk to his father until they fell asleep. He never made any friends since all the kids that came to the hotel had to leave within a week. Eventually his father decided it was time for Darwin to get a real eduation and show off his amazing powers. Darwin agreed with his father and vowed to make everyone 'Taste the rainbow'
