A Knight's Story

I have started one like this before and got interest but my life said nope XD

Im looking to start a Knight RP revolving mainly around melee and physical contact, However, I can work in "Healers" which are armed with wands and obviously heal allies. "Mages" who wield magic like the magic in dark souls I [<DSI] (Respectively acquired like in DSI), and Force Golem who uses miracle type spells like "Force" and "Gods of Wrath" in DSI (Look up videos if you dont know how these work).

This will be a Simple RP that gets made up as we go. I will have a loose grip on the RP to let the story mold itself. Romance is not needed as well as the "Nation" part of it but I think it would make the RP a tad more interesting if we decide to do so. Now I leave it to all of you who show interest. Show up and give Ideas. I would like input on all Romance, Nation, Magic, Healing, and "Force".

So, it'll be a sort of 'sandbox' thing? Please, another sandbox I'm in is going to shit because the GM doesn't want to step in and provide nice, pre-planned setups for everybody. I'm oaky with being thrown to the wolves but at the start of any RP I think it's a necessary evil to be railroaded a bit so that everyone has an idea of what the hell they're doing.

Nonetheless, interested, and making a CS. Of course, please give me a proper one I can re-make it for (In?).

Kosei, the Bumbling Ronin

Kosei is fairly standard for an athletically inclined easterner in his later twenties, with a face befitting his mildly noble origins, and muscles more suited for actual work instead of showing off. He stands just a bit shorter then most natives to the land, but isn't amusingly so. At least, to himself.

History: Kosei's backstory is shrouded and unclear, but it is known he's the sole remaining member of some relatively minor dynasty. Indeed, he was the only heir of their land and resources, which he apparently sold off and traded to receive equipment and training he could use to be a wandering swordsman, or 'Ronin'. Nonetheless, he does have quite a surprising amount of funds stocked back in his home country for emergencies, being looked after by his few remaining, but fiercely loyal servants, in addition to a pleasant, but not grandiose retreat.

Kosei came to these lands by boat and now seeks to enter a tournament, to hone his own skills and, if possible, meet 'contacts' that he can find work and things to do through.

Skills: Kosei is, in all honesty, a quick and ruthless monster in close combat, being surprisingly quick with either of his two implements. Of course, his main sword, a native claymore, is quite different than the Katanas and Nodachis he originally trained with, so he's still getting used to using its greater weight. Aside from his surprising aptitude for using all types of swords (but eastern swords even better), he's quite proficient with the small, defensive class of weapons called 'Parrying Daggers'.

Equipment: Kosei wears his old set of training armor, made with a combination of thin pieces of metal and leather. Its relative low weight meshes well with his 'quick, aggressive' style of fighting. For weapons, he usually uses two; a claymore he manages to one-hand with his right, and a Sai he uses in his left hand. Finally, he'd never admit it, but due to his superstitions he wears a special ring, called a 'Misfortunate Fox's Ring', that is said to protect its wielder from fatal wounds or setbacks, yet causes them to fall into minor misfortunes more often in the first place.

Personality: Kosei is a private, determined fellow who tends to make few allies, but the ones that do put up with him (and he deals with in turn) are usually loyal to a fault, and he would gladly raise his sword for in turn. He feels guilt for the mysterious circumstances his entire dynasty has been lost, yet knows he'll likely never get to the bottom of it by himself. He is always seeking more power and worthy foes, and his greatest dreams include fame as a warrior, finding who killed his family, and finding anybody in this land that he can call a 'True Companion', who would preferably help him with his own problems. Of course, the opposite would be fine too.

Simple, but I hope the basic character idea is fine.

Consider me interested. As for ideas, maybe the PC's are a specific task force of sorts put together by a nation to deal with threats etc. Then we can kind of just drop into various open ended situations. I dunno. It's been awhile since I've done any freeform roleplaying.

Well, I remember Big Boss over here saying that his idea was a tournament everyone went to for whatever reasons, which I agree with.

Mostly because it fits with Kosei lmao

Kosei's updated CS:

The Bumbling Samurai

Name: Kosei

Age: 28

Appearance: Kosei is your fairly average young eastern nobleman, with a pleasant face befitting of one and possessing lean muscle built to actually function instead of showing off. A tad thick due to this, he still stands a bit short in relation to most natives of the area, but not notably so at a first glance. He commonly wears his old training armor, a combination of leather protecting the majority of his body and steal guarding his face and chest. Underneath, he wears a simple set of work clothes, although uniquely made of a strong silk.

Kosei's Kendo Armor

Class/Type of swordsman: Kosei is a samurai first and foremost, and focuses on curved swords and parrying daggers. A samurai who focuses on killing other samurai, effectively. Nonetheless, he's still quite good with all types of bladed weapons, but not as good as with an eastern equivalent.

Personality: Kosei is a quiet, determined, and simple young man who is primarily motivated by finding out who killed off the remnants of his family and the lust for power and individuality common to all men of youth. In addition to his main motivation, he does long to find other men of his caliber to earn the companionship of, being quite lonesome for the past few months and wanting, at least, somebody to talk to who'd understand his predicament and perhaps assist. Of course, he's the type to assist his brothers-in-arms, just like he hopes that they'd help him.

In essence, Kosei is just a regular samurai who wishes to find friends and figure out his problems of revenge and just who he is.

Embarrassingly, when he arrived to this realm he simply lost his sword, and is utterly certain somebody is in possession of it. His sword, an ancestral heirloom, was the one he trained with and is most attuned to. He now seeks it out, in addition to everything else.
