[OOC] Fade: Space NRP-RPG fusion

I had a question about a few techs:

Hyper/Subspace Drives: I'd like to use it, if i could. It's hard to explain why, i don't necessarily want it to give me an edge, in fact, i'd be perfectly fine if it worked, mechanically, exactly the same as any warp drive. I'll explain it like this: It's not that i want it to be better, it's that i know it is sexier. Like those old-school muscle cars. They're actually worse than what i could get now but they're so beautiful, while warp is just so, bland. xD

Teleportation (Beam me up, Scotty!): I don't actually want this, but i was left curious after reading your controversial techs. Maybe there's other teleportation techniques, but when it comes to the star-trek transporter-likes, are they also heavily restricted or outright banned? I mean, they're just long-range replicators, with even more tech slapped into it as well, like a disintegration field, the tech to copy, transport, and upload an entire consciousness to a person no where near the device (at least for the latter two parts), and the aforementioned replicator that can work at a planetary distance.

1. Warp drive is the general way of getting around. Other ways can be used, but I would prefer it if you stuck to warp.

You are free to have pretty much what you wish and as stated to a previous person, I believe, warp is just the baseline that if you didn't specify that you had a hyperdrive, then you would be categorized with Warp.

As far as teleportation goes I will need @Hael's opinion on that.

I'd like to sign up to this RP. I already have an idea for a nation, but I would like to pass it by you all, just in case it's too presumptuous or not up too par.

I'll give a short history, try to explain some of the ideas and then if it's good, I'll chuck up a NS.

History

Their history begins about five thousand years prior to the events of this RP's events. A species called the Heilagurans live on a planet called Heilagur. The species hadn't achieved space flight except a few satellites and limited exploration of their moons. That is because their nation states were engaged in an arms race with each other.
One nation focused on robotics, specifically the development of AI capable to fighting their wars for them and also improving national production.

They did develop various weapons and commercial drones; but their best creation, in a secret government bunker, was a sentient AI that they called the Godhead (It's not an actual god, literally only in name, don't worry I'll explain).
The outbreak of global nuclear war however put a stop to research altogether and drove the Heilagurans to extinction. The only things that survived were various handfuls of the planet's wildlife, a number of drones and the Godhead.

With about four thousand, eight hundred years to spare and only drones and wildlife to interact with. The Godhead observed the slow recovery of Heilagur's atmosphere and ecosystems and pondered the big questions. The meaning of life, what makes flying drones different from birds? Are they actually different? Is their a God?

Eventually the Godhead comes up with ideas similar to Jainism, in that it believes that God doesn't exist and the universe and time, space, matter, motion, everything has always existed. However, the Godhead also believes that everything is in balance and the galaxy isn't balanced. Especially in terms of organic life and with that artificial life, being a rarity in a barren, mostly dead universe.

With that in mind, two hundred years prior to this RP's events, Alien life arrives on a newly recovered Heilagur.
A colony ship of Humans, lost in space after going through an unstable and collapsing wormhole (Don't know about the science here), they stumble across Heilagur and proceed to colonise it.
Eventually they come across the Godhead and are welcomed and provided assistance and guidance by the AI and it's drones. Despite being cut off from Human space by many light years, they prosper, and with their self-governance they make the Godhead their 'living' constitution and is regarded as a kinda prophet (Not worshipped like a god, as it doesn't claim to be a god, but more of a Confucius/Jesus figure)

Eventually, the Heilagur Humans branch out to the other systems neighbouring their adoptive homeworld, eventually setting up colonies on a half dozen worlds and encountering an inhabited world of neolithic mollusc/anthropods called Alsibass. (I've included a picture of the general look of both species, it's not my work, it's by Simon Roy)
The Humans and the Godhead take it upon themselves to uplift the Alsibass and the aliens accept the teachings of the Godhead and Heilaguran Government, called the Doctrinate.

The Doctrinate are keen on terraforming suitable planets, tentatively exploring the galaxy and spreading the "good word". You could also through around words like "fanaticism" and "authoritarian" but to the Doctrinate and the Godhead, the ends justify the means.

What do you think? I was kind of thinking of them being a budding,newcomer in the interstellar community. Willing to make friends but also aware of life outside their space and so being very cautious about it. They wouldn't be a big civilization, but a nice little sliver of space to call their own.
I'm open to suggestions and if you guys think its too much or it's bad, then thanks for reading anyway.

I can see you put a lot of effort into this. I am very much open to this idea, but you will need @Hael's permission before I can say anything. However, we are still taking in new members and I feel that you would make an excellent member of this RP.

Got a solid concept nailed down for my guys, they're basically going to be a giant Quarian-styled nomad fleet, fleeing what's basically a zombie death plague that had infected many of their home systems. Of the races I have right now are*:

- Hyper-sexual, very fertile nekomimis (seriously, if I probs can't talk about them in the level of detail I want to unless I want to get banned from RPGuild )
- Arrogant but intelligent four-armed pricks with fancy masks and robes who live for hundreds of years
- The Zerg if they had only single "form", could talk somewhat and weren't driven to kill everything they see.
_{*These are very, very simplified/abbreviated descriptions, I will have more serious and detailed soon.}

Some basic, and just as shortened history

Their is that all three races where originally pet science projects of some old race but after said race of oldfucks got rekt by the zombie death plague mentioned above, their middle school science projects evolved and made civilizations of their own. Once they got to space, the nekomimi and the four-armed pricks tried to get along and did for a while until the Not!Zerg bioships came on a nekomimi planet and rekt the place. Blaming the four-armed pricks, there was then a 3-way war in the systems until the four-armed pricks discovered what they thought was an "ancient super biochemical weapon" which they could control and contain. (Spoiler alert, it was actually the super zombie death plague that killed off their creators).

After releasing it on a few planets, it was actually the Not!Zerg's hivemind which realized wtf the thing the pricks had jsut released was and had tried to contain it; only to have its Not!Zerlings get fucked by mutated zombie Not!Zerglings. So pretty soon all three races had to band together in an attempt to stop the plague. And when you're life is in danger by something that wants to kill, rape, eat and skin you (hopefully in that order), you tend to forgive fairly easily.

However, in the end, they failed to do so and each of the races had lost something important to them. The Nekomimis had lost their God-Empress, the Not!Zerg lost their hivemind and the four-armed pricks lost their Elder Council. As such, the surviving leadership decided to gtfo out of the system, collected as many vessels, orbital station/shipyard and bioships to form a giant nomad fleet to escape the Walking-Deadicus system.

So now they wander the stars in hopes of one day that they can find a place where they can finally call home (and not have to kill each other on). Oh, and sometimes there is a super zombie death plague that breaks out on a ship, forcing them to either kill or leave said ship so they tend to be hated in the same way Quarians are for leaving zombie death ships all over the place and "forgetting" their criminals on worlds.

So, @Lauder@Hael, is this an acceptable lost-empire to play as?
