Vuduin Alimore

Vuduin was excited. Ecstatic even. Finally it was here. The chance to go on a Pokemon journey and become a real hero. And what was a hero without a Pokemon companion? Vuduin adjusted his backpack and picked up his pace a little as he heard the nearby call for boarding. Ah, there was already a long line, he'd taken too long. Well it wasn't like the professor would run out of Pokemon or anything. Ahaha. Just the thought of it made Vuduin nervous and he stepped towards the line in conjunction with two other people, one of which was a girl with the most delightful hair, an oddly contrasting dress, and practical yet stylish boots. Vuduin swept his hand in front of him an bowed elegantly, "Please, by all means go ahead, though I'll ask your name in exchange for my place in line." he said with a playful smile and a cheery light in his eyes. The pale tattooed boy had barged right ahead without consideration for him or the girl, how rude. Perhaps he would be Vuduin's nemesis, the villain that he would defeat to become a full fledged hero. Plus the girl was already here. He'd hardly even started and things were falling into place already! Surely it was a omen of his journey's future success!

So that was it, then? She was now officially a trainer? Had it always been this easy to become one? Damn, she should have left home and tried this ages ago. She could have probably convinced some of her old friends to come with her.

...well, that was in the past now, no sense in dwelling on it.

Lynn grabbed the pokeball with Quill in it, inspecting it as she ran her hand over it's smooth surface. Even she, couldn't help but to feel somewhat excited for this. Really, what person wouldn't? The source of her anticipation and excitement may have been different from Braids or that other guys, but it was excitement nonetheless. She smirked, and brought the poke ball up to eye level...and released Quill from the pokeball. A flash of red light, followed by said pokemon appearing on the floor in front of her. As soon as it was released from the pokeball, the Sneasel gave a sharp cry, as if it was excited to finally be let out before looking up at Lynn who lowered her headphones to rest around her neck.

"Hah! That's some good spirit you've got there. I knew I made the right choice." She chuckled, kneeling down next to the pokemon. She had no intention of letting Quill be cooped up in a pokeball all day. Rules and what normal trainers did be damned.

"Sn...sneasel?" It looked around at its surroundings quickly, before turning it's attention back to Lynn who gave it a big grin...before giving its ear a little scratch. Quill leaned into the petting in an almost cat like fashion, before returning the favor and gave Lynn a hug itself, wrapping its paws around her arm. Lynn laughed loudly.

"Alright ya little rascal." She said, pulling Quill off of her as she stood up. "We're gonna be the best trainers in the-" Her sentence was interrupted by something smacking the back of her head. This time, it was Quill's turn to laugh as it's trainer was apparently assaulted by a pokeball.

"Aww, boring. I was hoping it'd do something cool. I guess it didn't really work!"

It was Braids. This. Little. Bitch. Didn't she tell braids to leave her alone? She was pretty sure she did. Lynn turned around, and walked wordlessly over to Braids, a scowl visible on her face....and then gave her a harsh slap on the back of the head. It wasn't hard enough to actually hurt her, but it would give any person a nice little wake up call.

"Braids, when I tell someone to leave me alone, I mean it." She practically growled. The entire action caused Quill's eyes to widen in surprise slightly, though the Sneasel didn't say or do anything, and merely watched. Lynn didn't say anything else, and merely roughly shoved past the girl and received her pokedex and pokeball. So she was supposed to scan wild pokemon with this, and she'd get money and other nerdy gadgets?

Well, she did like money and using nerdy gadgets.

So she might as well get started then, right?

She started to leave, before getting a small idea. If they got money for recording rare pokemon, then that's what she should be doing. She should scan one for money, then capture it. That was what she was doing this whole thing for anyways, wasn't it? Looking for cool, rare pokemon. Making money while doing it, was good too.

That said, thinking about it, she had no idea how to go about it, so she turned back to Bruce.

"We get paid for finding rare pokemon, huh?" She said to Bruce as Quill walked over to Braids, and offered the other trainer a small, somewhat apologetic seeming smile. "Seems like since you're the nerds of the region, you'd already know where some are."

ARREN MALLA

Arren was standing on the dock. Finally she could go back to the main part of the region. She never really liked it here, it was way too warm for her. Arren was happy though, she could go on a Pokémon journey, and become a trainer. She had always loved Pokémon, and wanted to have at least one of her own. Now, she could start anew, and on a trail. First though, she had to get on a boat. She looked up at the ship, last time she was on a boat was when she first came to Gleampier. That was a somewhat long journey in itself. There were two other people with her on the dock. One of the two boys walked right up to the line to board the vessel. The other boy was offering to let her go ahead of him, if she told him his name. "My name is Arren Malla," she responded with a smile and walked ahead of him into the line. Getting ready to board the S.S. Expedition.

SEX: M

NATURE: ADAMANT
INCREASED STAT: ATK
DECREASED STAT: SP. ATK
FAVORITE FLAVOR: SPICY
DISLIKED FLAVOR: DRY

ABILITY: TECHNICIAN (INCREASES THE POWER OF WEAKER MOVES)

IT IS NOCTURNAL IN NATURE. IF IT SPOTS SOMETHING SHINY, ITS EYES GLITTER BRIGHTLY.

PLEASE TAKE YOUR POKé BALL. GOOD LUCK!

Adamant nature, perfect. Tesh smiled as he thought of all the possible strategies he could enact with his new pokemon. Already he'd begun thinking over the bond that him and Kaz would share. Tesh grabbed the pokeball and held it as waist level, his heart thumping like wild. With a flick of his wrist, the pokeball released its prisoner. Tesh didn't pay any attention to the eccentric musings of Abigail who was nearby. In fact, he probably couldn't be bothered by anything right now. His little Kaz was here at last!

"Mreooow!" Kaz yawned, stretching his hind legs and tail. It turned to Tesh with a confused glare. He looked down at Kaz sternly and crossed his arms, right after tossing the meowth's pokeball away, conking somebody on the head. The resulting complaints didn't catch his attention at all, he was enveloped in his Meowth's presence. The meowth watched him carefully, and tilted its head as if to ask why. Tesh smiled and crouched down by his Meowth's side, causing it to flinch. But it didn't run.

"Hello, Kaz. I'm your new trainer," Tesh whispered, extending his hand towards his Meowth with his palm facing upwards. The Meowth sniffed it and looked up at him skeptically. Kaz then turned his head to the side, not acknowledging Tesh's words in the slightest. Of course not. Pokemon didn't just fall in love with their trainers at a first glance. Not all of them, anyways. Tesh stood up and huffed happily, walking away from his Meowth confidently. After a few brief moment, the Meowth turned back towards him, and gently padded after his new master with a low mewl. Tesh's gamble paid off after all. They were off to a thrilling start.

Tesh stopped by Bruce and snatched a pokedex and a Ficus ball from the assistant without saying a word, promptly storing them in his waist-high side pack. He didn't even stay behind to listen to his instructions. His Uncle had explained it to him plenty. Catalog pokemon, get paid. Easy money, and the absolute best way to fund a trainer's lifestyle. Kaz followed several feet behind Tesh, looking up a Bruce for a brief moment before dismissing his existence entirely. That little Meowth was already on the road to becoming a genuine, grade-A ass-hat. Like master like pokemon, after all.

Tesh turned back when he hear another distinct thud, and Kaz froze in place a few feet behind him. Did somebody else get conked by a pokeball? Ah, yes. It was that blue-haired woman from earlier. He breathed heavy through his nostrils with a grin as Lynn smacked her assailant in the back of the head. He didn't stick around for long though. After Lynn subtly inquired about the location of some rare pokemon, Tesh turned back towards the door and headed outside. Maybe if you cracked open a book, you'd already know where to start Tesh thought, his Meowth trailing behind once again. He picked up the pace when passing by the sickly lab assistant, hoping to get out of that congested little man's splash zone as soon as possible. He didn't acknowledge the man's polite good bye, which was good. If he had stopped for even a second, his face would've been covered in spit. Kaz looked up at him though, closing his eyes as he sneezed. The little Meowth rolled his eyes and followed after Test, always several paces behind his tall trainer.

Vuduin Alimore

Vuduin nodded, mentally repeating the name to himself to ensure he remembered. And she'd smiled back at him so he was already better of with her than most people he knew. "I am Vuduin Alimore, most pleased to make your acquaintance." Ack, he had to quickly think of some small talk to make friends with his damsel, else he'd be the one in distress. "Excited to be starting your journey? I know I am. Are you just in it for the adventure or, perhaps something more?" Vuduin managed to keep his hope at her answering 'something more' in check so the question merely sounded like friendly inquiry. After all it wouldn't do to sound like some sort of creep, hitting on a girl he'd just met. Which he was totally not doing. Just making friendly conversation, as any heroically inclined individual would do. Very normal.

Rowan Branchers

_____

Dewmeadow

Oooooooooooooooohh...

The Professor...

Is...

So...

'Cooooooooooooooooool...' Rowan's fists were gripped in front of him in delight, his eyes blinking in admiration at the positively AWESOME professor which they were given. He was so exceptionally happy that THIS was the Professor which would be giving him his first Pokémon! He'd admire this man his whole life!

'Yes, sir!' Rowan would react instantly to being called in. This all... this all was brimming with genius! Rowan had no idea what all this did, but it all looked so home-made, it was even more awesome than what it would have been had it looked professional! He built it himself? … This man is a hero!

Helped personally by Professor Dogwood? Rowan... HAD NO QUALMS WITH THIS!

'Sir! Your help will be just perfect, sir! I really admire you, sir!' Rowan's eyes were shining with the awe he had for the Professor. He really, REALLY wanted Dogwood to feel appreciated. The boy had noted that the professor had seemed disappointed in the lack of people here, so he was going to make it up by letting him know just how much he meant to Rowan!

Alright. Now. After Mara, Rowan would head to the terminal. Wow. Um. That's some sound. This was all safe, right? Nono, let's not think like that. It's the construction of the brilliant Professor Dogwood. This'll be awesome.

ACCEPT! There was no two ways about it. Rowan was shaking in anticipation as he stared wide-eyed at the screen. Heck, he didn't even care if his information was correct or not. CORRECT, CORRECT! He bounced a little eagerly on the spot, which kinda was making his body tired from his own excitement. So, fancy light show effects, creating a Pokéball, and...

… Purrloin.

Rowan stared wide-eyed at the screen for a bit. They had... they had actually...

'YES!' He cried out. 'YEEEEAAAAS!' There'd be a blonde kid with his arms in the air running around in circles in front of the terminal for a numerous seconds, before he ran over and hugged the Professor. Nevermind if it was inappropriate or not, Rowan was just so brilliantly happy at this moment. After whatever reaction the Professor might have had, Rowan skipped back to the terminal, previous exhaustion forgotten and a wide happy smile on his lips.

'Purrloin is perfect... EXACTLY the way she is...!' Rowan said, and pressed the ”No” button on giving a nickname. In Rowan's experience, it was more common not to nickname, and therefore Rowan had long decided he wouldn't stand out like that. Besides, he wanted Purrloin. Not whatever he'd nickname her. This was exactly the way he wanted it. This was perfect.

Redorchard

Bruce’s eyes widened in response to the spontaneous Abigail. His finger hovered for a moment, but his reactions were too slow for the energetic trainer. He laughed in response to her question, again revealing the top row of his unusually shiny teeth.

“I completely forgot to say! Route 1 is the main road out of Redorchard, and is your safest bet toward Greenway Town. You might even find a Pokémon or two on the way, who knows!”

Bruce paused, forming a ring with his lips and looking off to the side. He put his finger on his lips, as if hushing an invisible force.

That is, if you can catch them with all of these new trainers around….”

Bruce shrugged.

“Anything’s possible!” He almost motivated you to cheer with him. Almost.

The research assistant was nearly flabberghasted when Abigail threw the Ficus Ball at Lynn, mouth held agape and a hand covering his face as if he were about to yawn.

"Wh.. What… Why? You do know how a Poké Ball works, don’t you?” Bruce said, still maintaining this semi-horrified expression. His eyes were frozen in time, transfixed on Abigail. And they remained there as Lynn approached her.

“H-hey now! No violence in the lab. Take it outside in a Pokémon battle, if you must. Things break too easily in here.” Bruce recomposed himself, brushing the front pocket of his lab coat.

He crossed his arms as Lynn asked him the question about rare specimens. He raised an eyebrow and tapped his foot, the linoleum of the green moss tiles surprisingly resonant in its echo. “If I knew that, we wouldn’t be paying you to find them.” Bruce said. It was said rather mechanically, rehearsed, as if this were a common question.

He looked at the approaching group of young trainers, picking their noses and yelling at the top of their lungs about how far their Pidgeys were going to take them down the road. Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose, and exhaled with a long, drawn out sigh. He stared into your eyes for a long, almost uncomfortable amount of time, his mind likely more active than his expression.

“Okay, but just because I want this particular specimen in good hands,” Bruce said. He leaned in closer so as to avoid any outside ears interfering with their conversation. “I’ve been in the forests of Redorchard my entire life, and I know a group of Xatu live here. They leave beak marks on tree trunks and branches, but only a trained eye would notice.” Bruce paused, either for effect or to catch his breath.

“Here’s the catch: Xatu have too strong of foresight to be caught by another trainer. They can predict where a trainer will be standing hours before. So they have to come to you.” Bruce looked around his shoulders, noticing the playplace he currently worked at. “But with all of these people on the route, there’s no way they’ll be drawn out.” Bruce pointed at Lynn. “If you can find a way around that, you just might get lucky.”

Bruce leaned back into the air, open palms coupling his elbows.

“Any other questions?”

Gleampier

Sure as the tide would return toward the sea, the line for the S.S. Expedition waned with time. The majority of people exiting the ship warranted a sideways glance, as their enthusiasm matched the brightness of the weather about them. The tourist-like guests waved cameras toward clouds. Each breath was a memory. Take a picture of that wave! Oh wow, look at all of these people! Where are the bathrooms? I want to see the Wailords! One particularly forward tourist shoved his expensive, flash camera into your face and snapped a photo. Isn’t this person exquisitely exotic? Not like the others around here! Quick, take another picture! Before you were swarmed by the mass of commercialism, some other event grasped hold of their tiny attention spans, and dragged them farther down the long, sunbaked pier.

The S.S. Expedition was a sight to behold. It wasn’t that it was a large ship. It wasn’t that it was a particularly beautiful ship. No, it was something else. You pondered what part of the boat drew you so, and you thought of it in one word.

Character.

This ship has been to so many places, had seen every feature of Huji and had likely seen almost every Pokémon there was to know in the region. The age in the boat’s hull only gave it wisdom. The teal-green windows, having battled so many foamy tides, was a testament to adventure. And the barnacles on the side… was that a Shellder? The precocious Pokémon looked up at you with its beady, white eyes before unclamping from the side and diving back into unknown depths. Taking in other surroundings, you noted the amount of locals about. Although many of them surrounded the pier, swaggering in their bronze skin and blonde beards, few joined you in line. There was a tradition, a stubborn nature you felt, that must have kept them there. It was in their step. Contained in those beaming faces of theres. Something other than the beautiful weather being a reason to stay on this isolated island seemed a bit farfetched to you at first, but the idea grew on you as you became lost in thought.

And as if you had just blinked, you took your first step onto the gangplank. Your departure from Gleampier had just begun. The plank led you to a hardwood deck, recently waxed in its sheen. Young trainers and tourists alike leaned on silver rails and discussed a babble of nonsense you couldn’t quite make out, what, with all of the noise in the area. What you could make out was a taller woman, with casual summer wear and thin, bottomless frames around her red eyes. Her hair was so pink it almost hurt to look at, and it ascended as a tornado might toward the top of the ship.

“Hello there! Pleased to meet you. My name is Holly. I’m Professor Palm’s main research assistant.”

For such an exotic look, Holly spoke more monotonously than you’d expect.

“Professor Palm is looking forward to meet all beginning trainers over a complimentary dinner this evening, if you’d be so kind to accept.”

She smiled, but it almost seemed conceited, or forced. Or maybe she just wasn’t quite sure how to smile.

“In the meantime, please make your way to the Terminal Lab in the lower deck. Spaces have been accommodated for all passengers.”

With this, Holly directed her attention to another group that was just stepping onto the landing. Following her directions and some signage, you were able to find your bearings and navigate toward the aforementioned Terminal Lab. It was surprisingly clean for being part of an aquatic vessel. Though, it was apparent that the salt had began to take over as it did all things. A white grime was encrusted on the sides of several terminals. They were lined in rows, like slot machines in a casino. Each one had a black, rotating stool to sit in, with just a few people in line for each one. The blue lettering being read off of each screen gave the room an alien hue, as if a comet were passing by. The glow of the terminals reflected off of your face. People in wear similar to Holly’s walked the aisles between terminals, addressing the calls of confusion and intrigue. The exterior of the room had numerous tablets, switches, levers, and prismatic buttons that were all being operated by attentive individuals in striped uniform. Though your attention wasn’t focused on them. It was in front of you, waiting, your very first Pokémon.

Your heart pumped more loudly against your ears as you took each step forward, as each person exited with their Pokémon. Finally, you were the next in line.

You stepped forward.

As soon as Havoc's feet ascended on to the gangplank his spirits began to lift with him, as if he was literally rising above all his cares in that very moment. It made him glance backwards at the upper end of the gangplank to look down at the ground. In the midst of boarding crowd he saw a variety of young adventurers, including a boy and girl near enough behind him in conversation. They all had a mix of trembling and excitement, the kind one exhibits on a rollercoaster just before the first drop whereas Havoc was all out of excitement. His 'drop' was his escape on foot to the ship. All he had in his heart was relief.

Havoc's eyes trailed Holly as she left, noting that she gave near enough the same speech to each succession of adventurers in turn the moment they boarded the ship. Havoc followed those in front of him. Was he a trainer? Technically. That's about as much as he could honestly lay claim to. It's not as if he had any deep desire to be a world champion - he didn't need to go that far, but there were many trainers in these days who raised and groomed their pokemon for all manners of dreams and goals. It was a lot easier to understand rearing and capturing pokemon through these officials means than it was figuring it out in the wild. Afterall, they gave trainers the first pokemon for free.

As he waite for his terminal line to open up, Havoc glanced at the other lines, noting the changes in expression for those at the front. Some jumped with joy when they received their pokemon. Others hung their heads in despair. It caused caused to raise an eyebrow, confused at how this could be a disappointing moment. Weren't all pokemon good? Some people even called for a assistance to settle their disputes with the machines, pointing to kids that used the terminal before them. He saw two other kids that looked like brothers scrambling over a single pokeball before being separated. Another child refused to move from his stool, shouting that he "doesn't want a magikarp" to the assistant at the terminal. Eventually, the line in front of Havoc fell away and it was just him and the terminal.

Havoc paused, hesitantly. His thumbprint and full name would put him right back on the grid, at least for the time being. He wasn't sure what might happen if he registered. At the very least, he might stay safe the rest of the journey by sea. He inhaled deeply and press accept.

Blue lines traversed the screen. In patterns, sporadically, dashing in their inconsistency. The cogs in the terminal whirred as the lasers performed their show, before they came to form words on the screen.

Havoc scratched his chin, looking at the image of this pokemon "Houndour". He would forget that very quickly, but the image showed a stoic, fierce looking young pup with a skull covering its scalp. It seemed valiant and serious. Havoc's hand reached for the terminal and began to press letters.

[R-O-O-K-ENTER] - A Rook. That's what the image reminded Havoc of; not the species of bird obviously, but of a unit that would stand rank&file at the side of the king - the chess piece.

Abigail Lowe

Location: Redorchard

Abigail ignored the weird look that the science guy gave her. She was too busy clutching her head. "What'd you do that for? That really hurt!" she whimpered, sounding like a little kid. It wasn't that the slap had really hurt, but having her attempts at friendliness rejected had really hurt the poor girl's feelings. Her lip quivered a little as she looked at the floor. "Meanie." she muttered, staring at the ground.

She looked up when the girl's Sneasel smiled at her. While it wasn't much, really, Abigail's expression brightened a little and she gave the Pokémon a wide smile, while Bruce started talking about rare Pokémon to blue-haired girl. This interaction had convinced Abigail that the girl definitely needed her help to learn how to treat people. It was enough to help Abigail make a remarkably fast recovery

"Any other questions?"

Abigail looked up at Bruce, smiling and thrusting a packet of sweets at him. "Do you want a chocolate?" she asked, smiling. After giving him a moment to decide whether he'd take one, she turned and headed out of the lab, practically bouncing as she walked. She paused at the entrance, remembering something. Oh, yeah! She hadn't even sent out Waffles yet! As soon as she remembered, she sent out the Deerling, who looked up at his trainer and nodded in acknowledgement. "Deerling!" he cried, stamping his hooves.

Abigail wrapped her arms around the Pokémon in a hug, the small deer looking slightly confused by this. "I can't wait to go travelling with you, Waffles!" on hearing his nickname, the Pokémon sighed, already managing to sound like a weary parent. He seemed to appreciate the Abigail's honest affection, though, eventually nuzzling his head against the small girl's side, before pausing and sniffing at her pocket.

"Oh, do you want one?" she said, noticing the action and holding out a small piece of candy, which Waffles took enthusiastically, before heading down the path. She noticed the guy from the lab just ahead of her, and sped up to catch up with him, Waffles following behind. Before she reached him, she noticed a few kids on the path ahead of her. I wonder what they're doing. Maybe they were at the lab? she wondered, pausing so that her Deerling could catch up.

~Lynn Haywood~

"Wow, sounds like you nerds can't even do your jobs right." She laughed somewhat harshly as Quill returned the smile Abigail gave her. The Sneasel definitely seemed a bit better...adjusted towards people than its trainer did at least. "As long as I get paid when I find 'em, don't care too much I guess." Lynn sounded as though she thought she was already going to be successful in finding them, and apparently either thought it was going to be easy or she was just going to be that good at it. "Come on, Quill we've got some money to get our hands on." At this, Quill simply shrugged, and walked over back to Lynn as Bruce asked if they had any more questions, but she had already got what she wanted, and had already stopped listening.

She was too busy glaring at the snot slinging assistant and making sure she was as far away from him as possible.

Quill eagerly followed after Lynn as she left, probably a bit excited to see the outside of the lab and get on the road even if she didn't seem entirely overly emotional about it like Abigail seemed. It seemed the two of them were the last of their little group to leave the lab. Not that it mattered much, but she was slightly irked that Braids had held her up a bit with that idiotic usage of a pokeball.

Just irked enough to want to beat some sense into some upstart little punks.

“Heh, so what do you say? How about a team battle, us three vs. you three?”

And thankfully, there were some offering themselves on a silver platter, ripe for a good beating. Well, she was never one to back down from a challenge, plus this would be a good chance to show everyone here just how good she was. Well, she wasn't exactly keen on having a team battle with chucklefuck 1 & 2, but...well, she supposed she could tolerate them long enough for the moment. Besides, they would definitely be a good distraction, especially braids from the look of it.

"What's that? You little punks think you can actually beat me?" She wore a confident, but calm smirk as she spoke. Quill was giving them much the same look as it folded it's arms across her chest area. "Well," She shrugged dismissively, taking a quick look to the other two. "I'm not really one to team up with a complete ditz and an untalkative kid with probably enough angst to be edgier than a honedge...but if you brats wanna get beaten so badly, I can make an exception."

Well, despite her bravado and talking, she really didn't have much of an idea of what all Quill was capable of in regards to moves and stuff. She had never handled a pokemon before at all...eh, whatevs. She'd deal with that as it happened.

Team Legacy

Miles

Miles couldn't believe his luck. Here less then 2 months and he got something he could send to Team Legacy. Xatu on route one. Miles waited until all of the terminals were occupied, becoming a bit more effective in making that happen; hopefully no one would really notice. Mile stepped out of everyone’s way; and, chuckling a bit to himself, on his Ficus Pokedex sent a quick message to his contact.

'Natu and Xatu on route 1. Have foresight so hard to find. Can see hours ahead according to Bruce'

Hopefully they would send someone soon, and the person was competent enough to catch at least a couple Natu, that way he could get one himself. A Xatu would be perfect for getting him into the higher reaches, and surly they wouldn't begrudge him a Natu for providing the info.

Clarence

"We have recived a report of possible Natu and Xatu on route 1. Please investigate. Will send you all pertinent information."

"My first official mission is to find a rare Pokemon on a route where there are likely to be a lot of new trainers? Thanks. A lot." Clarence said into his black, purple, and golden Legacy Pokedex, before hanging up and downloading the information. Natu, foresight allowing it to avoid people, cautious, evolves into Xatu, which is more of the same. And he had to find and capture one with a bunch of new trainers in the area? Great.

At least he finally had a solid hint to help him find some rare Pokemon to send back to The Left Hand, as a thanks for her gift. He could remember clearly what The Left Hand told him when he received the Gift. "Take care of it, and it will take care of you. It may not be what you want right now, but you will be happy to have it. If I hear about you misusing or abusing it..." Clarence knew that this threat could only be beaten by two others, and this honor by three. He was truly grateful and would do everything he could to meet The Left Hand's expectations.

Clarence shook his head and started packing. At least he was only a couple of hours away by foot, but it will probably take a week or two to catch the thing, and that's if he could. He made sure he had several Pokeballs, some Pokebait, and a couple of traps, although he knew they wouldn't work against the Natu, they might work elsewhere. Once packed, he left Greenway Town's Pokecenter and started exploring route 1 to see what he could find.

@Morose

”Professor! What does this do, exactly….? Professor?”

The professor looked over his shoulder with an eyebrow of intrigue. His hands remained buried in his pockets, but his eyes smiled at someone showing interest in his inventions.

“Well, that one makes sure the humidity of the room stays at exactly 52%. It’s important for the material I build with,” Dogwood said. His smile became physical and sheepish, eyes wandering to the ceiling.

“Well, sometimes the room becomes 100% humidity when the mains break! Ha haaaa!” The last laugh dragged on, as if he were remembering something painful from his past. But it was true and infectious, nonetheless. Something about his voice was comforting, like the hearth on a cold, wintry night.

He reassured you further with his classic smile, wink, and thumbs up gesture. “That won’t happen again though, I’ve reinforced the inside surfaces!” Dogwood paused, lowering his hand and putting it back into his pocket. “Well… unless…” he didn’t finish his sentence outloud, preferring to keep it to himself.

”How do pokemon even fit inside a poke ball?” ”Is it like… quantum things or something?”

The Professor nodded and smiled, the ends of his mouth curling upward slightly. He rubbed his chin betwixt finger and thumb, forming a ring and rolling an invisible marble between their tips. He did this a moment before speaking.

“Envision, that we’re all made of the same, tiny building blocks. Now, take those blocks apart, and you can build what is only limited by your imagination,” The Professor said. He admired the steel cogs giving the illusion that the room was spinning about. A horizontal piston unleashed some steam, screaming at the mouth.

“Someone long before me or you figured out how to fit a bunch of those blocks into a tiny space. And everyone’s copied their formula since then.”

As you stared at flickering letters, Dogwood repeatedly touched his face and hair, twirling his violet bangs about a hovering finger. “Ah yes… Espurr. Lovely Pokémon,” Dogwood said. You could tell he meant well, but something was simply off in the rhythm of how he said it.

The Poké Ball containing your Pokémon finished downloading before your very eyes. It sat expectantly on a pocket below the screen, awaiting you. The top, red portion had a brown “D” inscribed into it. More blue letters began flaring across the screen.

@PlatinumSkink

Dogwood smirked, giving the young boy his trademark grin, wink, and thumbs up. Rowan’s enthusiasm reminded Dogwood of when he was a kid, and would have to go outside hours before dinner just to run off energy. That energy fueled his passions, and cluttered his laboratory with ideas and inventions. Nothing was ever unfinished, but sometimes it took awhile, and it often was never the product in the original blueprints.

“Enthusiasm is the mark of a passionate trainer! I admire you and young trainers with your fire. I want to hear about all of your adventures.” His eyes closed and he rubbed the back of his neck as he ducked underneath a steaming pipe. “Hopefully my connection tower doesn’t give out again…” he muttered to himself.

Dogwood laughed as you wrapped around his legs, your face slamming into his stomach as you embraced him. The professor gave a hearty laugh, air bellowing from his ribcage. “I try to modify my terminal to get trainers the exact Pokémon they want. I guess it worked this time,” Dogwood said. He frazzled your blonde bangs before tapping you on the shoulder, motioning you back to the terminal.

“That looks like some team you've got there,” Dogwood said to all of you. The professor turned away from you as he walked toward a counter near the window. He unsheathed his goggles from his hair, exhaling on the tens, licking his thumb, and rubbing the glass in circular motions. Donning the goggles, he leaned in very close to some sort of knob on the metal surface, cranking it to and fro more than might be necessary. The shelf popped open with some effort and grunting by Dogwood, and he pulled out three blue, rectangular objects from within. Dogwood sauntered back, flipping out the Pokédex as if they were a hand of cards, fanning them towards you. He urged you to take them.

“Now, point this at any Pokémon, and its information will be downloaded to my database here at Dewmeadow. You can also use it to call anyone you link your Pokédex with.” Dogwood paused, pushing the tip of his tongue against the inside of his lip. “Let’s see, right now there’s me, and my assistant Cass…” Dogwood looked about the room, shoulders swiftly sagging. “Where is that girl?” he wondered aloud.

[Acquire: Dogwood Pokédex]

“Now, there are a few rules to being a field researcher. Try to get as many Pokémon as possible on the Pokédex so I can research them and keep funding The Dogwood Company.” Dogwood paused, his face scrunching to the side as his hands were placed on his hips. “I’d let you do your own thing if I could, but Borough’s been on my tail for money recently.” He sighed and shook his head, closing a shelf that was overflowing with paperwork with his heel.

“Buuuut, I’ve still got grant money to give for each wild species recorded. If you manage to find any wild rare species or anything out of the ordinary, I’ll make sure to find something nice for you.”

Dogwood began to nod his head slightly over and over, moving his eyes from side to side in an arcing pattern. His hands kept flaying outward and flitting about, as if he were performing a puppet show. He did more talking with his body than with his words.

“Also, and I know this isn’t all that great, but I’d ask that you stick to my tech.” Dogwood paused, clenching a fist and squinting his eyes. “No Ficus Tech.” Dogwood held this pose before breaking character, winking and, sure enough, giving you a thumbs up. “I know you wouldn’t do that, though!”

“I can send you more stuff as you get further down the road, but here’s a Dogwood Ball for now."

Dogwood handed each of you a normal Poké Ball, with a brown D etched into the top portion. “They’re my own design. They capture air in special compartments for tighter sealing.” Dogwood paused, placing his hands into his pockets and leaning back, stepping up onto his tip toes.

“And I think that about covers it! Anything to ask me before you head out?” He said.

@Lasrever Bruce hesitated when the chocolate was put to his face, neck shriveling and brow furrowing. His eyes moved side to side, avoiding the sweets. “N-no thanks… I have a ham sandwich packed for later,” he said.

The campers admired Deerling with precious, wonder-like eyes. They pushed their faces together with closed fists, wrists inward, and kicked the backs of their legs in place. They kicked up the dirt and made squees and laughter that only children could.

“Oh, he’s so,” one of the campers started. “Cute!” The other finished. Their attention turned to the blue-haired girl once she started to speak.

"What's that? You little punks think you can actually beat me?"

The campers bowed their heads and kicked the dirt, mumbling what you thought was a response but it was much too quiet to hear.

The Youngster turned the cap even farther around his head in response, but only served to direct the bill in a more sideways fashion. The two campers in the back looked to each other, their eyes squinting and eyebrows pointing downward. One of them tapped the Youngster on the shoulder.

“M-maybe we should-“ one said

“Yeah! I think we’re the greatest trainers around!” He puffed out his chest and hollered out a single, breathy laugh. “Ha! This’ll be over in a second! My Rattata’s way too quick for you!” he said.

“Okay…” the other said.

And with that, the battle was begun!
--
Youngster Joey, Camper Annie, and Camper Danny want to battle!

Youngster Joey sent out Rattata!

Rattata snarled and scuffed up the ground as soon as it was unleashed. It’s gigantic buck teeth gnashed the air, biting in the direction of your Pokémon. You noted its darting, red eyes never stopped moving. They kept choosing new targets, new Pokémon, new terrain, it even eyed the three of you collectively. This Rattata had the spirit of a top tier, low level Rattata.

Camper Annie sent out Nidoran♀!

Camper Danny sent out Nidoran♂!

The pair of Nidoran huddled together, placing their sides against each other. They sniffed the blades of grass that grew underneath them in bushels, rubbing their noses in the delight. They appeared to act together, or at least in a similar manner. Their attitudes were unlike Rattata, seeming to take more interest in their environment than the battle itself.

Vuduin Alimore

Vuduin admired the assistant as she directed them. Her pink hair was startling in appearance and she was quite alluring, even if her odd detached voice made a sort of disconnect. Regardless she couldn't be his damsel, she was already attached to the professor. Still that hair would've looked wonderful framed by a sunset and an ocean breeze. His internal musing ceased at the sight of where they would recieve their Pokemon. His very first Pokemon! He could hardly wait. He eagerly stepped up to the screen and accepted everything, barely glancing at the information before it finally came to his Pokemon. Budew?

Hmm, a Pokemon that started off as a awkward small Pokemon that grew into the graceful Roselia, a beautiful flower Pokemon. He could picture it now, his Budew struggling to practice and battle in its current state, losing time and time again, finally evolving into a Roselia just when it was needed and proving itself in a flash of deft skill and power. But first! A name. A Pokemon sidekick was no good without a cool name to go with it. He struggled for a moment to come up with a name. Vuduin didn't even know what his Budew was like yet, how could he name it? He shrugged, I can name it later, he thought to himself and entered "no". Just for now, until he got a better feel for his Pokemon and could give it a good name, worthy of its traits.

Tesh Yama

Redorchard

Tesh winced as the three children approached him. "Rattata...?" Tesh murmured to himself. Was this a joke? He looked down at the youngster as Kaz finally made his way to Tesh's side, and looked up at his trainer impatiently. There was no way in hell that these little kids could take him on. Hell, he could probably defeat them, three-on-one! Tesh was about to accept their challenge, but before he could say anything, Lynn stepped past him with a comment of her own.

Edgier than a honedge? This one had some nerve to be mocking him, of all people. Tesh scoffed at the crude comment and looked down at Kaz. With one hand, he gently gestured towards the young challengers, two of whom seemed intimidated by Lynn's rather forward approach. The one with a ball cap didn't seem phased at all, though. What an arrogant little twit. "I'm in," Tesh affirmed, Kaz stepping up to the challenge moments after.

Tesh's Meowth's retained its relaxed composure for a moment, but once the Rattata was sent out, Kaz's muscles tensed, and he stood on all four legs with his tail twitching eagerly. "Mraww!" He bellowed with a low growl following behind his shrill meow. Tesh grinned and glanced at the Rattata before them. Heh, this Meowth is more adept than I'd imagined

Before the battle was completely confirmed, he turned back to observe Lynn's Sneasel, and the little deerling that padded near Abigail. He looked thoroughly unimpressed by the little deer pokemon, but Lynn's pokemon was another matter entirely. A sneasel!? It was an excellent specimen. Sneasel were known for their exceptional strength and speed despite being a pre-evolution. Most pre-evo pokemon didn't stand a chance against its insane statistics in battle. Tesh shook the thought and turned to face the youngsters once again. "Mraww!" Kaz bellowed a second time with a low rumble, as he stared the Rattata and two nidoran down.

Arren Malla

Arren walked up on the gangplank, looking around at the ship that was looming overhead. It was an old ship, and as she hit the deck, she could feel the ocean waves moving the ship. When she first came to Gleampier, she had to arrive by boat, but she never got used to the swaying of the ship. A woman in red glasses appeared. Her hair color was similar to her own, it was a little strange for her.

@Whimsley

Holly walked away, and Arren was left to find her way to the lab on her own. There were a few directions, but it took her a while to find the Terminal Lab. She walked inside the lab, and immediately walked over to an empty tablet.

[REGISTER] Read on the screen, just above a thumb print. There was no turning back from here. Did you accept?

Assuming you accept...

Blue lines traversed the screen. In patterns, sporadically, dashing in their inconsistency. The cogs in the terminal whirred as the lasers performed their show, before they came to form words on the screen.

ARREN MALLA

AGE: 15
SEX: F
HEIGHT: 5' 6”
WEIGHT: Calculating...

[IS THIS CORRECT?]

Assuming you pressed the button, after making any changes you wished...

CALCULATING...

First, a hex grid of wireframe. Black in the inside, green as the structure, a Poké Ball formed in a pocket below the screen, held by a sort of basic upholder apparatus. A green laser, in the fashion of a 3D printer, began to bring the Pokéball to life. Layer by layer, the second dimension gained another perspective. First green, then a white bottom, a black, middle rim, a white button on the front, and finally the cherry ted top. The button glowed a dark pink and hummed a synthetic tune before fading.

YOUR POKÉMON IS... POOCHYENA

[WILL YOU GIVE POOCHYENA A NAME?]

The screen asked you.
@Whimsley

A nickname? Arren thought about it for a few minutes. Eventually, Arren decided not to nickname her Poochyena. She liked it just the way it was, so she entered [NO] on the tablet. She was excited, her own Pokémon! She finally could become a trainer, and start on her own Pokémon adventure!

Mara Scelus

Not quite yet satisfied with the professor’s explanation, Mara nodded anyways, watching with fascination as the Poke Ball finished coming into existence. Hesitating for a moment, Mara reasoned that it had to be incredibly hot from being fused together…

And she grabbed it anyways, hardly able to believe that it really was real!

Peering at the Poke Ball, she tapped it lightly, expecting it to vanish into smoke. Nothing of the sort happened, and blue letters began to soar across the screen.

Mara’s eyes widened at a particular phrase, even as it quickly changed. The Gates…. of….Hell?

”Professor, um… What does the computer mean when it says my Pokemon contains the gates of hell?” Mara asked, her purple-black hair swishing as she switched from peering at the screen, the professor, and her pokemon.

There had to be some sort of logical explanation, after all. However, then she recalled the odd tone the professor had gotten when he announced she got an Espurr.

Maybe this place is haunted…. She glanced around again at the spinning pistols and bit her lip, before breaking out into a grin.

If my pokemon contains the gates of hell, that’s so cool! Her eyes closing slightly, she couldn’t help but grin even wider, and to confirm that the poke ball indeed did contain her pokemon, she threw it out, releasing Kira.

The adorable Espurr appeared, and Mara grinned, letting Kira sit on her shoulder so that way everyone would be at eye level with the restrain pokemon.
After the others had gotten their pokemon, the professor turned to them, and started giving instructions about the pokedex. Mara instantly began flipping through it, attempting to find each and every function it had…

Wait, did he say something? Mara turned dark red, attempting to focus on the professor when everything around her was so interesting!

"I know this isn’t all that great, but I’d ask that you stick to my tech. No Ficus Tech. I know you wouldn’t do that, though!”

Seems like someone is bitter…

”I can’t imagine anything more amazing than this, professor!” Mara said earnestly, once again admiring the random contraptions around the room.”This place is like a fairy castle…”

The professor went on to explain all of the grant money, but Mara had once again zoned out, fiddling with the pokedex more and more. She only snapped back to reality when Dogwood handed her a poke ball, explaining the science behind it briefly.

“And I think that about covers it! Anything to ask me before you head out?”

Mara paused, glancing around at her fellow trainers. For a moment, she pondered if she should allow them to ask questions first, but she didn’t care for social etiquette.

”Which way is the best way to leave town? Not best as in best for new trainers, but best for seeing amazing things…”

Abigail Lowe

Abigail smiled as the kids started to look at Deerling, who to his credit, managed to put up with their admiration despite being a little uncomfortable about it. He did, however, manage to look slightly offended at being called 'cute'. Noticing that he seemed uneasy, Abigail called her Pokémon back over, with a small wave at the kids. "Hey, Waffles, come on!" the small deer looked thankful, and nuzzled her leg in an appreciative gesture.

She smiled at her Pokémon, and was just about to say goodbye to the two campers when she heard their friend speak. He was challenging someone to a team battle, it seemed like. I wonder who it is? she thought, looking around. It seemed like there were only two people, other than the youngster and his... Wait, is it me? I'm not ready! Time out! I want a redo!

"I'm not really one to team up with a complete ditz and an untalkative kid with probably enough angst to be edgier than a honedge...but if you brats wanna get beaten so badly, I can make an exception."

So it was her. Wait a minute, what did she say? "I'm not a ditz, you're a ditz!" she yelled in her angry yet completely unthreatening way. She quickly broke off into a look of confusion. "Um, what is a ditz again? Isn't it some kinda biscuit?" she had to take a moment before she realised that she should probably answer. Abigail hadn't wanted to take part before, but she had to show that she wasn't any kind of biscuit!

"I'll battle, too! Let's go, Waffles!" she yelled, her childish enthusiasm obvious. Waffles, taking this as his cue, took position in front of her, head held high. She looked at the Meowth that belonged to the other guy. It looked enthusiastic, and kinda scary. Its trainer looked kinda scary too. Why did both of the people on her side have to be so grumpy-looking?

Waffles narrowed his eyes at the Rattata, looking much more calm about this than his trainer did. In fact, the Pokémon looked eager to prove himself, and let out a strong cry. "Deer! Deerling!"

SUZUKI YASHA

Pokedollars: 500

Team: Lulu the Yanma

"Uh, miss? Ya sure are pushy aren't ya? I ain't see a reason not to tell ya the truth." Yasha chuckled nervously, playing with his very messy white mop that was his ponytail. It wasn't often that he had received his kind of attention from anyone, especially a girl, but she was also pretty demanding. Well, demanding and trying to pull a facade that she wasn't all too interested in his life back home. It was pretty obvious that she was very excited to meet a foreigner since she had lived in a small town for all of her life. Yasha was in the same boat. He was so curious about the Huji region that even the smallest, most mundane thing that was common for the region could be exciting for him.

Rowan had begun to ask them what kind of pokemon that they wanted when suddenly the door to the lab opened and three small children toppled out into a pile, only to roll over laughing on the dew covered grass. Yasha couldn't help but to chuckle at the three adorable children. "Ya know, ya shouldn't be playin' inside the-" He stopped mid-sentence due to the door slamming open with metal contraptions make loud moans. The sound sent a shiver down his spine and he even jumped a bit from surprise. He wasn't used to those kind of noises. He lived on a farm, not a factory.

The professor, a surprisingly young looking man, had asked what the kids were laughing at, which only caused their laughter to intensify until they ran off to play an impromptu game of tag. Professor Dogwood really was much younger than Yasha had expected. In all honesty, he expected him to be an old coder though that doesn't mean that he wasn't an excellent professor. He looked like he worked hard, harder than anyone else on a daily basis. It's that kind of dedication Yasha really admired.

He had followed the professor inside along with Rowan and Mara and soon found himself by a terminal. Did he want to become a trainer? Of course he did! What would've been the point of coming all the way here from Johto if he wasn't going to? He clicked yes and saw that his information was already in and was completely accurate. After a dizzying light show from the screen, making Yasha's eyes swirl around and churn his stomach, a pokemon appeared on screen. It was a Yanma, a pokemon that was a bit more common within the Johto region.

"Ooooo, a Yanma. Let's call ya Lulu!" He said in a sing song tone, quite pleased with what he had received as his starter. The machine seemed to be more terrified about the size and weight of the bug pokemon, filling the text with a long scream consisting of 'AAAAAAAAAAAAH' appearing in bold letters.

Yasha received the pokeball and looked at it with a smile, tossing it into the air. With a flash, Lulu appeared and boy, did that bug pokemon ever have a resting bitch face. It looked liked it couldn't be bothered to be nice to anything even if it wanted to. That, however, didn't stop Yasha from loving it. "Oh my god ya so cute!" He rubbed its head as he cooed it, but it wasn't amused.

After listening to the professor explain what their jobs as trainers entailed before receiving the pokedex and a Dogwood Pokeball. Yasha raised his hand and asked, "Um, what's the best route to get to the next town?"

~Lynn Haywood~

Well, at least these two were eager to fight too. That's good, then! They were completely useless, though Braids was probably gonna get wrecked because she was a ditz. Plus, it'd be funny to see her run home and cry...though, considering things that already happened, she might just be too stubbornly oblivious to do that. Well, whatever, not her problem. She had some punks to beat up, and she was gonna beat them up to the best of her ability with Quill.

"Ha, alright then! You punks are gonna learn battling ain't for brats like you." Lynn confidently smirked. Quill replied with her own confident smirk, leering at the opposing pokemon with her muscles appearing much more relaxed unlike Tesh's Meowth.

Of course, Lynn also had no idea what she was doing, but it wasn't like she was gonna lose. Quill's claws looked pretty sharp, so obviously Quill should just use those to beat that Rattata to a pulp. First one to move first in a fight, always had an upper hand after all as well, and since no one had made a move first...she wasn't gonna pass up that opportunity!

"Quill, hit 'em hard girl!" Lynn shouted, pointing at the Rattata. She didn't have a plan here, really, aside from bash it until the Rattata was down for the count, and she was pretty sure Quill could do that easily. Almost in an instant, the Sneasel sped forward, closing the distance between herself and the likely slower Rattata in the blink of an eye, impressing even Lynn with her speed, though she didn't show it. As soon as Quill was upon Rattata, her claws swiped at Rattata's side. One swiping upwards from the left side with a viscous looking Scratch attack.

The Outsiders

Charlotte

“Hmm...what sounds good for breakfast?” She pondered enthusiastically skipping through one of the long aisles, just skimming through every item on the shelf. Going to the next aisle in the same manner as the other customers looked at her with several odd stares. Her arms crossed carrying her Pichu with a pink bow loosely tied to it's right ear. Stopping in her tracks, half twirling in front of the produce section, smiling widely at the bright red apples, shiny enough you could almost see your reflection. Seeing the price tag and nobody else around, proceeding to look around for a brief moment, as she looked closely at the corner of the ceiling for moment, observing the tiny camera. She grinned as she quickly snatched several apples putting them inside her pockets inside her shirt.

“Oldest trick in the book, putting not functional camera in your store to scare away your average shoplifter, without having to pay a single dime. Looks like you've met your match.” She boasts in her head letting out a soft giggle, looking down at her Pichu she realized she was holding something in her paws it was a plastic container with a child pacifier inside of it as it tears through the container and subsequently popping the pacifier in their mouth, as Pichu starting sucking on it with a big smile on their face. Charlotte letting out as slight squeak in surprise.

“No. That's bad, you're not suppose to take stuff we don't need.” She lightly scolds as the Pichu seems to ignore the scolding, looking up at her and nuzzling her chest. Charlotte lets out a small sigh rubbing her head as she picks up the torn apart plastic looking for the price tag. She quickly walks towards the front with a teenager looking at her. She just smiles widely looking guilty as she reaches in her other pocket and pulls out some cash, placing in on top of the counter along with the plastic so the item could be scanned.

“S-s-sorry she has a mind of her own sometimes, that's for the pacifier...” She comments as the teenager simply nodded his head and took the money from the counter, and scanned the item. Charlotte left in a hurry, exiting through the door before the teenager counted the money. “Wait, you gave me too much money...this item is on sale...” The teenager tried to call out, but got quiet as he wasn't sure what to do. “She could of bought a pound of apples with what she left behind...maybe she's wealthy and doesn't care.” The teenager muttered to himself rubbing the back of his neck.

Catching her breath sitting on a wooden bench and taking a bite out of the apple. “Well time to feed the family, I'm sure their all hungry too.” She spoke aloud to herself as she reached inside pockets pulling out a much smaller apple and placing it on Pichu's lap while sitting in Charlotte's lap. Taking the pacifier and putting it inside her pocket. As the Pichu took the apple with both hands and starting eating. She smiled and pet her Pichu's head and she suddenly heard some ringing playing a personalized ringtone so she instantly knew who it was...

Myles

Listening to loud rock music in the background, Myles inside the bar, was sitting in front on a bar stool in a rather crowded bar that smelled mildly of booze and smoke. The people were seemingly trying to talk over the music. He grabbed his beer, and started chugging the bottle down until not a drop remained. Gently setting it down. Belching loudly as he watched the bartender behind the counter leave to go the restroom. As another person left leaving his money on the counter, before casually leaving. Myles grinned and started reaching for it and inconspicuously pulled it over to his side. Feeling something buzzing in his pocket. Knowing he should probably leave and answer it, before getting up and smiling and started to stumble away. Hearing the bartender call out, he turned his head.

The bartender stared at him. “Hey, was this your money? Did you see another man leave?” The bartender asked him curiously. “Certainly sir, Well...I mean that's my money, didn't notice a person next to me though. But how about I tell you another joke!” Myles replied to him with a smile. “No, the dozen you told me, were good enough...” The bartender rejected, having a sort of desperate look across his face. Myles let out a chuckle. “Man, your great. I'm glad someone knows a good joke when they hear it.” Myles answered, swiftly making his exit through the door. The bartender let out a relieved sigh.

Wandering aimlessly through the street. Pulling out, an incredibly cheap cellphone from his jeans. He let out long inhale and exhale, before answering the phone putting it up to his ear. “Hey...I still can't believe you bought us something so cheap, for us to communicate with each other. My mother had a better cellphone back when we lived in the slums.” Myles commented with his words coming out slightly slurred. “No, I don't know where Elle is...probably kicking someone's ass knowing her...yeah yeah, we can all meet up at the usual spot.” Myles added hanging up the phone.

Elle

An average young looking adult male who was covered head to toe with various tattoos thrown into a wall of a building, holding his one eye that was hurting, looking straight at someone smaller looking at him, smashing her right fist into her left open palm, glaring at him with a smirk. “Give me your wallet, and your pokemon too unless you want another black eye buddy.” Elle sneered. “Maybe I should beat you up anyway since you tried stealing from me, frankly its only fair you give me everything you have.” She stated as the man tossed his wallet over to her side.

“P-please I didn't steal your cellphone, you just dropped it when you tripped...I was simply returning it...don't hurt me...” The man pleaded, as she picked the wallet up and stuffed in her pocket. Taking a moment to think about it as she realized that was probably the case, she looked away some putting the wallet in her pocket as she starting to leave. “Whatever pal, you're probably the reason I tripped anyway.” She retorted apathetically.

She was nonchalantly walking away, turning her cap forward again, as she only had it backwards during her fights. The man glared angry from behind her, he charged from up behind her about to throw a punch her way. But she seemed see it coming, turning her head and side stepping away from the punch as his fist swung over her shoulder. She countered his attack, quickly grabbing his arm tightly to his surprise and was able to swing him forward causing to land straight into the ground on his rear. She looked down at him. “Looks like you need a more thorough lesson.” Elle commented.

A little while later, she was taking a drink from a drinking fountain, only to spit most of it out. While washing the nose blood from her hands, hearing the phone ringing in her pocket, pulling it out. Tossing the completely empty wallet inside a nearby garbage bin with a click of her tongue. “Hey, sorry I was taking care of business...and sure I'll be there shortly.” Elle replied as she heard the sound of the phone hanging up, crossing her arms.

“He sounds like he found us a big job...hopefully it doesn't go as badly as the last one or the one before that...” She thought to herself starting to walk to where she knew he and the other would be, at the library...

Bartholomew

Inside the man sat down on a dark green sofa, with nobody else around. Waiting with a cellphone on the table beside him, with a couple of books stacked up. Peacefully reading without a sound to disrupt his thoughts. As he held a novel in his left hand, gently flipping a page holding the book up covering his face. Being titled “How to laugh evilly without looking like an idiot...”

“If my plans go accordingly, we'll be swimming in wealth and power...” He mutters quietly to himself, with an extremely pleased with himself tone of voice. Eager to share his brilliant plan, knowing this one couldn't possibly fail.
