Personal Style: Hannah tends to dress more formally than most, wearing pants or skirts that extend down to the ankle and shirts/jackets with long sleeves. Even if it happens to be summer. Luckily, living in England has the benefit of it not getting very hot even in the middle of summer. One odd point in her collection of apparel is her penchant for boots. She has a pair of boots for about every level of formality and wear and tear. In the past, she would leave her hair short so it wouldn't look too bad messy, but after graduating high school she's taken an interest in looking presentable. Since then she's lets her hair grow down to her shoulders and wears make up regularly.
Studious * Altruistic * Empathetic * Brash
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Hannah could be considered as something of a closed treasure chest, or perhaps an unshelled pistachio. Hannah's shell is the studious, straight A, goody two shoes proper girl. It's not quite an act, so much as her default way of acting. Early on she was instilled with the belief that hard work pays off, and it's more important to focus on work/education before anything else. That idea has carried on even now, even more than 10 years after moving away from her parents.
On the inside, Hannah has few filters on her. She's not afraid to talk about almost anything nor will she stop herself long enough to mince words for delicate situations. If she had to justify this, she would probably say something along the lines of “if you've gotten to know me well enough that I can talk to you, I'd expect you to know how to handle your emotions around me.” That said, she's not a mean spirited person. Quite the opposite really. If she believes it's in her power to do so, Hannah will help just about everyone she can, even if it would require doing some things that she normally wouldn't otherwise...

What Brings You To The City: Well is by “The City” you mean Justic, she isn't there. She's not even on the same continent. Hannah's currently living in the UK after she moved there to attend University for Grad School. After getting her Master's, Hannah has stuck around the country (but moving from Oxford to London) because she hasn't really had sufficient reason to leave.
Life Before You Moved In: Hannah was born and raised in Montreal to English speaking parents, and if there's one thing you learn in Quebec, it's that they hate the English language. By law, all the signs must be bilingual for both French and English, but boy they get that English text as small as possible. This taught her a valuable lesson early on: don't expect the rest of the world to do you any favors. If you just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, the world will right fuck you straight in the ass and expect a “Thank you sir/ma'am.”
Her family situation was never bad. In fact, it was better than most. Her parents were strict, but supportive. All her siblings got along with each other. School was troublesome at times, but she always did well and she had her own clique of friends that she could rely on. Still, she found herself hating everything about her life and how complacent everything felt. She never communicated these feelings, but bottled them up for years on end. Eventually, almost the day after graduating from Senior High, Hannah just left home. She had already been accepted at the University of Massachusetts, in her mind, she had no reason to stick around any longer and a big shake-up is what her life needed right then. She had lots of money saved up from her part time job she had held for the past 4 years, so the next three months before university started acted as part Teenage Rebellion, part extended vacation, part road trip.
After finally getting to University itself, Hannah couldn't help but find herself be disappointed. Honestly, she had been expecting a lot more than she had gotten. By now, the thrill of living on your own for the first time had disappeared, and the coursework wasn't all that different than what she had experienced back home. Already she could feel the same sense of complacency setting in. At least the signs were readable in English.
After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Hannah felt that it was time to get another big shake-up in her life. This time she would move countries again, but overseas to London. She had had her eye on Oxford for Grad School for a couple years now, and she'd been lucky enough to actually be accepted in the first place. The only problem with just picking up and moving now was the fact that her girlfriend at the time, Mali was still attending University, and wasn't able or willing to just pick up everything and go across the ocean. Deciding to break things off mutually rather than attempt a long term relationship, Hannah was free to spread her wings once again and make the leap over the Atlantic.
Life Since You Moved In: After getting her Master's Degree, Hannah wasn't really sure what to do with her life. Sure, she could go for a Doctorate degree, after all who wouldn't want to be able to call themselves Doctor? However, education had worn out it's welcome, and she wasn't sure she or her finances would be able to handle another 4 years of higher education. So she set off on that time honored venture of searching for a real career with little success. It was actually by sheer luck that she had managed to get her current job. One of her professors was friends with some of the upper staff of the Maughan Library and was able to put in a good word on her skills with them. It really wasn't the work she was expecting to do, but after a period of adjustment, it was quite satisfying in it's own way. Insofar she's been working there for 3 years, but that feeling of complacency has been creeping in on her recently.
