Li took the offered hand reluctantly and allowed herself to be pulled onto the dance floor. Once there she stood awkwardly for a moment before mentally telling herself to stop being a wuss. She slowly started moving along to the beat and was soon grinning as she danced. "If you tell anyone about this, I might have to punch you too!" She laughed

Once his feet hit the dance floor, Jett began moving comfortably to the beat, and before long he was dancing with his whole body, with ample coordination, too. He closed his eyes peacefully for a moment and when he opened them, a girl he'd never seen was standing in front of him, already dancing to the beat as well. She asked him to dance with a glint in her eye and he shrugged and nodded in agreement and continued dancing. He glanced over at Li, who he saw was beginning to get into the swing of things, and he gave her an encouraging smile.

Vera shrugged. "I guess it's fun to mess with people sometimes, but you're pretty serious about it," she pointed out. "Sometimes I play tricks on my group mates or I can have a sarcastic sense of humor just to bug and mess with my friends, and that's messing around. But you're pushing me to quit my group or let go of my ambitions or something."

Ambrose shrugs and gets to his feet. "Well I apologize for coming off that way. I suppose I just don't think that the Brom group is right in their mentality, and I think you're in the wrong group." He tilts his head. "I did not mean to come off so seriously." He begins walking back over to his sword, which lay next to the river.

He spotted the girl dancing by herself and sauntered over, stumbling quite a bit on the way. When he reached her, he put his hand on her waist and pulled her close to him, and said into her ear, "Wan' dance?" with a sly grin.

Jett had begun to enjoy himself quite a bit. Before long, the girl had placed her arms around his neck and they continued to dance to the fast, lively beat. He sang loudly to every song he knew, and couldn't get the smile off of his face. Suddenly, he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye as the man approached Li. Jett eyes widened furiously and he pulled away from the girl he'd been dancing with. He stormed over and stepped between Li and the man, growling, "Hey man, she told you to lay off." He put his hands on the man's shoulders and shoved him roughly.

At the sound of her voice, the fire inside Jett vanished and he took a step back. "Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry." He turned and gave her an apologetic smile.

The man stumbled backwards slightly and snarled furiously. His friends knew him to be an angry drunk, and today was no exception. "Who th'hell d'you think you are?" he muttered, winding up and punching the boy straight in the face while he had his attention on the girl.

"I mean... when it comes to a fight, I can take someone out from a hundred feet away. I'll always do whatever's right, but I'm usually pretty good for taking orders," she trailed off, realizing she was trying to prove herself to this stranger. "I'm sorry," she chuckled, "I just don't really talk to anyone about this stuff."
