Appearance:
Anri goes to great lengths to ensure her girlish charms, more so since Anri is actually a boy. However he dresses and identifies as female, and will make no efforts to be truthful about himself initially.
Name: Anri Rokudo
Height: Short (Five feet five inches)
Weight: Lightweight (One Hundred thirty pounds)
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Naturally they’re black, but Anri often wears red colored contacts for appearances.
Skin-tone: Light and fair. Anri wants to make sure he looks like he does see some sun, but will not want a tan.
Clothes: Often girly or feminine. It’s very rare for him to willingly be in male clothes.
Age: 18
History:
Anri is a.... Quirky student at school. Her recent “change” into a female was brought upon by bullying in the past, with many picking on him for his lack of masculinity. A suicidal episode, intervention, therapy, and a shopping session later, and Anri had managed to return to school as a new person. Before Anri was rather unknown, with students hearing of him only as a target of bullying or for his cooking talents. Nowadays just about everyone has heard and is aware of the transvestite in their school. Fortunately, since her change Anri hasn’t been bullied as much and seems much more confident (And aggressive) to the point that most people actually stay away from her.
Personality:
Anri is straight-forward and headstrong, often walking right into the thick of things without nary a clue of what to do. Anri dislikes pointless lying so she’s often blunt with her words, though she can be more subtle for the sake of sarcasm or common decency. Seems to be attractive to confrontation and conflict, and will assuredly be part of the fight if she catches wind of it. Anri has a bad time always trying to prove herself however, taking on challenges she cannot realistically handle or trying to make herself as successful as others. She gets really depressed if she feels like she’s being useless.
Quirks:
Confrontational. Big Eater. Likes fire.
Likes:
Eating and Cooking - Something Anri did a lot before she took to her Change. Also one of the reasons for being bullied due to always eating so much, but that had mostly to do with her metabolism requiring a lot of food for energy or else she’d feel weak and lethargic. Though nowadays she has medicine to ease the need to eat so much, but she still likes to eat. Took up cooking as a logical progression to eating lots of food, Anri is good for a lot of “Home Cooking”, though lacks the finer expertise for the fancier stuff unless it calls out to her to make it.
Fire - The first time Anri cooked anything, it was over a bonfire. That awakened something within her and made her seem rather… Obsessed with flames. Attracted to it much like the proverbial moth. This isn’t something that Anri lets other people know, given it’s somewhat psychotic connections. Though anyone who’s privy to Anri’s incident before the Change involved self-immolation, and could probably guess her interests.
Being Pretty - Anri’s change wasn’t entirely great for her ego, as now she’s quite vain and obsessed with her appearances. Her desire to look conventionally “Pretty” has made her go out of her way to look better than most girls. One of the best ways to get her off one of her obsessive episodes is to give her lots of compliments, flirt with her, and generally validate the idea that she’s wanted.
Winning - Ever since the change Anri has been highly competitive, going out of her way to be the best at anything she feels is worthy of her time. Or just whatever is in her way. She almost never settles for second-place, and demands to be the winner in all things. That being said, her own abilities don’t often support the challenges she meets, lacking the intelligence or athletics for most things such as sports or academics. However she does have a certain cunning that makes up for what she lacks. Additionally, it doesn’t really matter what she wins in, even if it’s something as stupid as a farting contest or a science project: she demands nothing less but total victory.
Dislikes:
Being identified as a Male - Anri has whole-heartedly chosen to become a transgender (Pre-op) female. Thus a quick way to earn her ire is to constantly refer to her as male, even if you’re a stranger who doesn’t know about her change, and especially if she already told you. Generally, she is fine with telling people that physically she is male, at least if they ask nicely, but is loath to talk about it. The only real indicator of Anri’s true gender is that she still uses the boy’s bathroom (Though she has earned the privilege of using private bathrooms as well).
Bullying - Considering the circumstances that resulted in her Change, Anri has very little tolerance for those who would bully, pick on, or otherwise insult and demean others no matter the reason, be it playful or malicious. Anri can and will confront these people directly, and it will become violent (whether or not it’s serious or just slapstick does depend on the severity of the bullying). Not that Anri is necessarily unable to bully herself, either emotionally or physically (See: Competitive) as she’s certainly capable of trash talk and insulting others.
Being Hungry - Due to Anri’s high metabolism she needs to eat often, or take her medication to alleviate the hunger pangs. Being hungry makes her feel physically tired, sore, irritated, and sickly. Not the most comfortable feeling.
The word Syrup - Just doesn’t like the way it sounds. When referring to the substance itself, she often calls it paste or sauce. Doesn’t seem to have a reason for this...
Relationships: Anri is friendly enough. Though she’s competitive, she can easily be a friendly rival if you don’t mind the extent she goes to to win. Naturally friendly and upbeat, she is more than willing to tag along with others as a follower or leader if they treat her kindly. She often cooks food for others while cooking for herself, purposely making more food than she can eat (Though she’ll still eat a lot of it) just so she can share with others. That being said, she is granting. She’s very dramatic and will never let a slight go unnoticed. If there is a problem and she hears about it, you can rest assured that she will get involved, for better or for worse. Anri has had mixed relationships with the male and female student body; the males are obviously unnerved at the pretty boy-to-girl is, while the females mostly see her as just a drama queen trying to overcompensate being both a male and female.
Anri actually hasn’t met the new kid yet. While she has seen her before, and Anri is certain someone has already told the new kid about herself, Anri has either forgotten or was simply too busy to personally meet Shizune Yoshida and converse with her at length. So far Anri’s impression about the girl is that she is “emo” and that’s alright. Anri does want to get to know her better though, see if there’s more to her than her edgy brooding darkside Anri has heard so much about.
Other: Anri refers to her transition from male-to-female as the “Change”, and any point of her life prior to her decision is often noted as “Before the Change” or variations thereof. Sexually Anri is bisexual; she always has been even before the change. Carries various fire-starting implements either on her person (During the rare times she has pockets) or her bag. Also tends to refer to herself in third-person in spoken dialog, or at least name-dropping herself during the rare occasions she says “I” or “Myself”.
