Barbarian: Reckless Attack
Starting at 2nd level, you can throw aside all concern for defense to attack with fierce desperation. When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn.


I am afraid due to the underlined definition on when the ability can be used, it won't apply in this case. Either way, you do happen to miss even if your first roll was the better one @Lucius Cypher, and the same happened with Harbinger.

So that drops both of your attacks by two… You'll kill one stirge. Stirge #9 dies, #10 is wounded @Lucius Cypher.

Another stirge vanquished @Norschtalen. Second attack misses. I will take this chance to remind everyone that the bat swarm in its flapping and squeaking drowns out all sound, so Kyra's shout will very likely go unheard, or at least be very difficult to catch even to those near to her.

I shall be next to move, give me a bit and I'll see to it.

Is there any way to determine where the last stirge is, @Hekazu? I am presuming a Perception (Wisdom) check to try and spot it or is it within reach of the paladin to strike at the creature and hopefully clear it from the air?

He should be able to find it in the swarm within his movement reasonably likely without rolling for additional checks since he saw what way it went originally, I'm willing to rule @The Harbinger of Ferocity.

I'm not sure, I'd rather not chance it at the mushroom garden and that spot were we fought the kobolds is too open and exposed to hide. I'm willing to have Kyra burn some spells to heal Orchid, but I think we also have some potions too right?

I know Brannor has a potion but those are the types of things best saved for combat and wasting combat resources outside of it when we have Hit Dice to heal would not be good. Everyone but the paladin took some amount of damage and the majority of it should be, in theory, covered by a short rest.

We could find more potions in this cave, but time and spell slots aren’t going to be something we can regain in a pinch. Could we try and scout ahead for a safe room or something?
