@Spinna I'm perfectly fine with this backstory. It goes along with my headcanon that Bloodstone hired Chromite to come on his expenditure as her first mission. Unless she was made on Earth, but that's an easy fix. Either way, it's interesting to see a scared side of Chromite. I'm going to assume that all Chromites are equipped with shields then, since we know similar gems can wield a variety of weapons so not all Chromites would have a shield as there gem weapon.
@Vocab As shown by the Rubies in the show, similar gems have an array of personalities and weaponry. Maybe even powers too (My headcanon is that some powers are guaranteed while others are developed based off of experiences.). Personalities seem to be almost randomized at birth and then slightly adjusted based off of experiences. Of course, any imperfections or faults in their creation could affect their mental state and therefore their personalities. Any explanation someone can give for why their gem acts like it does is plausible.
Edit: The only explanation that isn't possible would be a programmable personality.
