So this is my next move, each one of you have all spoken through the OOC except @Eru Iluvatar I'm giving him two days to PM me back on whether or not he is still in the roleplay. If he does not respond within the next two days, we move on and find out what to do with his character. Which probably won't be too difficult since Rend has a gun and supposedly someone on the ship knows that through the surveillance system. With the discovery of his secret gun, Rend is then seen as a threat, the group (or whoever snatches the gun off him) can make the decision to keep him as a prisoner, whether that be because of moral affairs or because they could use him later, or he could be killed on site.

Alright people, we'll be back on our feet pretty soon. Eru just sent me message and he will not be able to continue with us, so we stick to the plan.

@Atrophy So, I'll leave you with a choice, and answer back to me ASAP. So what you have now in the collaboration with Eru, you can decide to wrap up whatever you have and submit it as our long awaited 19th post, or you can cut it out completely.

@TheMadAsshatter Let's talk story, the person that I could imagine spotting Rend sneak the gun would be the one constantly the nearest to the ship's surveillance system in the cockpit, Tahlia. I spoke about someone snatching the gun off him, which could be supposedly tucked away behind the pants waist, and making the decision to spare him or not. She's just the one for the job.

@beyond visions That's exactly what I was thinking, though seeing as all of our characters should already be at the meeting in the kitchen, and Tahlia hasn't even looked at any of the cameras yet, she'll either see the gun in Rend's waistband, or wherever it's hidden, or she'll see him pull it out and wrestle it out of his hand.

I vote we just have no conflict with Rend and just have him a casualty of the cryo-freeze. I mean we are going to have to go back into the tanks since we are still 4 years travel to the closest destination. We can just have him assessing his situation and waiting in the background to see the turn of events and start working on exploitations until there is a good character exit.

I think that everybody would be trying to let by-gones be by-gones since we are going to need every resource regardless of how problematic it might seem. I mean right now even a felon might seem useful to us right now. I think simply killing him would change the spirit of the story significantly.

Hmmm.. If Rend is shot doesn't that mean Benji can take his tank and Yaz can work at other things?

@Deserted Yes you have a point, but I'll remain to leave it as an open choice. With this, Echo can convince Tahlia to put the gun down and spare him for the some of the reasons you just stated above. I'm sure if Tahlia does decide to kill Rend, Echo will strongly disagree, perhaps sparking even more conflict. I like the fact that this is a big decision and can change the direction of the story. Tahlia shoots Rend and the rest might look at her in a different, she chooses to keep him alive might help or hurt them later in the future.

@beyond visionsWhile it's good writing, I might cut Eru's part because it hadn't even gotten to Rend being in the room getting questioned and is, well, inconsequential. For the sake of getting things back on track, I should be able to put some wraps on my part and get it up shortly after making a few adjustments and add-ons.

For the time being, would you be controlling Rend?

I would actually say that maybe, for the sake of convenience, a negligent discharge leads to Rend being a very dead person.
