Personality: Being a walking chameleon leaves many to wonder if what they see is actually what they are getting with Kayala. She can appear to be sweet and loving in one situation and completely cutthroat and ruthless in the next. Like an actor on stage she plays each part so well one can be left questioning with facade they are seeing is the truth or even if they all are. In a way, they all are. A different part of her being shown to some extent when needed and then burying it back down until needed again.
Some constants are there though, ever adaptable and contemplative she never leaps before she thinks. She likes to know what she is getting into and to how to best handle the situation but she can work on the fly if needed. One has to be able to in this line of work, there is no room for errors. This makes her rather pushy at times and meddlesome, sticking her nose in where it might not belong with the crew if she thinks they can provide her with an insight to a location or people.
There is a reason outside of work that she is this way. Underneath all the facades and masks resides a woman who cares deeply, perhaps too much so. She sees things happen to people that is morally or ethically wrong and it breaks a small piece of her heart. She doesn't like breaking the law to do what she does but she knows it is needed. The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: "There is a point in life where you must chose a side or be caught in the middle. While I prefer to dance the line between what is and what was I knew eventually I would have to declare an allegiance. Neither side is without their cons but I believe the heart of the New Republic beats far fiercer and purer than that of the Empires. I hope they find a balance between the light and the dark that others have yet to achieve and if I can play a part in that, no matter how small, I will give my life for that cause."
History: Kayala was born in Coronet City, the daughter of a mechanical engineer and a bar maid in one of the cities local watering holes. It wasn't the best of money but it was enough for her parents to provide for her and send her to one of the better schools in the city. They didn't want the same life for her that they had, they wanted more for her. Yet, what a parent wants for their child and what their child receives is hardly ever the same thing.
Life in school was difficult for Kayala, not because she couldn't handle the class load. She excelled in things like history, languages, and linguistics. Her problem was her fellow students. They could smell that she was a lower class. It was here, back during her formative years that she started to develop a knack to fit in. Learning their own high brow accents, their mannerism's, their ways. Then when the time came, she asked her parents for a transfer to an even better school. Thanks to her grades she was able to get a partial scholarship and the deal was set.
A new school and the first facade was in place. Here Kayala excelled in all aspects, especially socially. She had adopted her first Face and fell into it as if it was second nature. Sure she still didn't dress the part but some quick talk and soon dressing as if you were a middle class scum was the in-thing and all the other kids were following her foot steps. This made the rest of her years in school some of the easiest in her life.
After school though things got tough. She was good at history, she could speak languages, but she was no droid. Sure, a pretty enough face, but she wasn't about to do what some women needed to do to get by unless she really was in the mood. So, what now? Take what you know and keep moving and that was what she did. Taking her ability to learn and adapt she got her foot into the door at more and more locations from the cities most underground workings Empire run facilities. Using this low level access to learn more customs, more accents, more mannerism's - all from planets she had never seen. Granted it didn't always go well and it lead to more than one brawl where Kayala finally had to learn to fight other than using her wits but she picked up well enough.
Then it was time to put things to the test, helping a local smuggler get his goods out without being caught bought her passage on a ship and she was finally off world for the first time. Since then she has honed her skills and her Faces. Working like an actress to get in where she needs to, getting what she needs done, and getting back out without others even thinking she might not be one of them. She finally found the role of her life, to be everything but herself.

I think I actually know. And if that's the case... why does the GM simply state the Everything Else section.
It's because of adding Han Solo and Chewie giving him the armor right?
Coming via from this: You cannot use a character or a Face Claim from the Movies! (Or other media) - Aliens and Droids are exempt from this unless it is in certain cases (i.e. Thrawn)
That has to be right.
(And if thats not it, call me stupid, because I swear I don't know what it is. I read the rules three times over and can't figure out the problem)

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Sutton was tired of living on Tatooine, needing some more fulfillment in her life. As soon as her medical procedure was completed, she joined the rebellion ranks. Despite certain her mother would detest her, Sutton had hated the Empire, always getting into conflicts with them among her many travels. Part of her blames them for her father being forced to run, rather than get the treatment for his tumor at a decent hospital. It's time for her to make a difference.
History: Sutton's father was an adventurer, and her mother, a prominent official for the Empire. The two of them had a love affair, and her mother kept Sutton mostly secret, avoiding the press as best as she could. Her mother received a promotion of sorts, becoming responsible for their home planet; Sutton and her father left the planet, traveling to look for adventure. Her father was a drifter, doing odd jobs, as they navigated from place to place. He taught Sutton how to protect herself.
When Sutton was eight, they spent a year in Jakku, only to somehow end up on Coruscant. The Imperial authorities attempted to arrest her father for some crime or the other, and the pair of them fled. Roughly once a month, credits from her mother would arrive, designed to be used to pay for Sutton's care and to keep her existence secret--her father, instead, gambled the money away on promised relics and artifacts.
By the time Sutton was seventeen, they had found themselves in Naboo. Her father was attempting to look for lost artifacts, when he collapsed from an intense pressure in his head. He died three months later from a brain tumor. With no family, the authorities attempted to send Sutton to an orphanage, but she stowed away on a transport ship, intent on finding her mother and making peace. She found her mother happily married, with a picture perfect family, positioning herself for a far more important position.
Rather than tarnish her mother's political career, Sutton ended up on Tatooine, supporting herself as a a scavenger for the Hutts. As soon as she turned eighteen, Sutton attempted to become a smuggler for the Hutts instead. During a routine medical examination, which she found ridiculous to begin with, she was informed she wouldn't last long as a smuggler. She had an illness promised to kill her within five years if not treated. She spent the next few years, while the fight against the Empire was going on, saving up for the procedure. By the time she was cleared of her medical issues, the Empire had fallen.
Her mother's line of work had fallen as well, with her scrambling to be accepted as a closeted rebel leader. Hardly anyone believes that, causing Sutton's steady line of credit from her mother to be cut off, leaving her penniless. Rather than sign up to be a smuggler as she intended, Sutton instead joined the New Republic, offering the skills she picked up from her travels around the galaxy. Skilled in combat and with an extensive cultural knowledge, Sutton was placed on the Raven as the second.

History
The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Sutton was tired of living on Tatooine, needing some more fulfillment in her life. As soon as her medical procedure was completed, she joined the rebellion ranks. Despite certain her mother would detest her, Sutton had hated the Empire, always getting into conflicts with them among her many travels. Part of her blames them for her father being forced to run, rather than get the treatment for his tumor at a decent hospital. It's time for her to make a difference.
History: Sutton's father was an adventurer, and her mother, a prominent official for the Empire. The two of them had a love affair, and her mother kept Sutton mostly secret, avoiding the press as best as she could. Her mother received a promotion of sorts, becoming responsible for their home planet; Sutton and her father left the planet, traveling to look for adventure. Her father was a drifter, doing odd jobs, as they navigated from place to place. He taught Sutton how to protect herself.
When Sutton was eight, they spent a year in Jakku, only to somehow end up on Coruscant. The Imperial authorities attempted to arrest her father for some crime or the other, and the pair of them fled. Roughly once a month, credits from her mother would arrive, designed to be used to pay for Sutton's care and to keep her existence secret--her father, instead, gambled the money away on promised relics and artifacts.
By the time Sutton was seventeen, they had found themselves in Naboo. Her father was attempting to look for lost artifacts, when he collapsed from an intense pressure in his head. He died three months later from a brain tumor. With no family, the authorities attempted to send Sutton to an orphanage, but she stowed away on a transport ship, intent on finding her mother and making peace. She found her mother happily married, with a picture perfect family, positioning herself for a far more important position.
Rather than tarnish her mother's political career, Sutton ended up on Tatooine, supporting herself as a a scavenger for the Hutts. As soon as she turned eighteen, Sutton attempted to become a smuggler for the Hutts instead. During a routine medical examination, which she found ridiculous to begin with, she was informed she wouldn't last long as a smuggler. She had an illness promised to kill her within five years if not treated. She spent the next few years, while the fight against the Empire was going on, saving up for the procedure. By the time she was cleared of her medical issues, the Empire had fallen.
Her mother's line of work had fallen as well, with her scrambling to be accepted as a closeted rebel leader. Hardly anyone believes that, causing Sutton's steady line of credit from her mother to be cut off, leaving her penniless. Rather than sign up to be a smuggler as she intended, Sutton instead joined the New Republic, offering the skills she picked up from her travels around the galaxy. Skilled in combat and with an extensive cultural knowledge, Sutton was placed on the Raven as the second.

Regardless, they didn't want to learn to become say, an engineer, or some boring politician, they wanted to explore the galaxy, and to ultimately follow in their father's footsteps no doubt. On some occasions when they were younger, he would take the two brothers out on his starship and they get to watch how he works, as well as sightsee different planets in the process. Life for them seemed pretty bright.
However, it was after the Clone Wars was when things turned to the worst. When the Galactic Empire rose to power, they cracked down on crime and rebellion throughout the rising and glory days of their reign. This made it more difficult for Matthew and his family to live, with their income made almost solely on illegal activities, such as gambling and trading in Spice. Despite this, for awhile they were just able to make it above poverty levels. They eventually fought alongside the rapidly growing Corellian Resistance movement against the Empire, trying their best to raise up against them. Unfortunately, it was during a full scale battle, that Matthew's brother was severely injured and later died due to his injuries. He and his parents grieved over his death and secretly buried him on top of a hill a mile away from the town they were living in.
Matthew knew that he shouldn't stay in Corellia for any longer, especially how the Empire was already pushing back the resistance into almost certain defeat. The two then decided to make a risky move into trying to escape the planet's airspace and get as far away from the Empire as possible. But as the two quickly head to their ship, Imperial stormtroopers were right on their heals. Long story short, Matt's father sacrificed himself to make sure that he was able to escape, in which he did. Both saddened and angered by their deaths, he fell into a short period of agonizing depression, unable to know what he should do. He felt helpless and lost. Perhaps he should just go somewhere far, far away and never be seen again.
That was when he discovered the Rebellion, along with it's recent victories against the Empire. Perhaps there was a way to fighting back after all? Feeling like he just had a new lease on life, Matthew then joined the Rebellion Alliance, where he became both a smuggler and mercenary, fighting back against the Empire with rapid success. He even once went on a mission with Han Solo and his partner Chewbacca on an Imperial weapons factory once. Once again, he felt just like himself again. He had participated in many great battles, such as the Battle of Haidoral Prime, the Battle of Hoth, and even taken part of the Battle of Endor, as well as other low-scaled missions as well. By the time the Rebellion turned into the New Republic, Matthew was a well known mercenary and part-time smuggler. After Endor, he came back to his home planet Corellia to visit the graves of both his father and brother, telling them that they've been avenged and that he will continue to serve the New Republic till the Empire was absolutely defeated once and for all.
While also getting a good kick out of it too...
