I'd say succubus falls under demon. Fae folks are usually fairies. Not the oh so goody goody modern fairies mind you, but those fae from older stories. Which includes the dullahan.

@Renny Hmm, I think God Fist is a bit too powerful with no real flaws to balance that out. A flying brick type character might work but, he's more powerful than any accepted character. He's basically Superman except with less weaknesses. Also Metahuman and Supernatural are too entirely different categories. Nobody knows what makes Metahumans have their powers but when you get into cosmic bloodlines or what have you that definitely falls outside their purview. Also I'm not sure that a professional organization would accept someone so young. I'll have to see Poly's thoughts but God Fist is definitely too powerful. He shouldn't be even above the Half-Dragon dude.

@Sterling Well it's a matter of being true to mythology and folklore while allowing diversity in lore building. The old style faeries are a very diverse group of beings but putting them together with even more supernatural beings kinda makes the world smaller in a sense and diminishes the opportunities for building the mythos. Succubi and Incubi have nearly always been portrayed as demonic beings. If they were faeries, suddenly you could make vampires, werebeasts, ghouls, and such into Fae. Do you see what I mean? This isn't meant to be a condemnation or put down but that's just my thoughts on it.

I like the character a lot, actually. An inexperienced kid with powers he doesn't fully understand- makes me think of Star-Brand. As MrD said, though, I'd like to see either some weaknesses to balance out his raw power or dial it back a bit. On a side note, he's probably wanted in Japan for negligent homicide, so don't be surprised if people come gunning for him to take him to Japan to stand trial.

Your character looks good to me, so consider yourself accepted! I'm equally puzzled by the fae/ demon debate but I guess that's just semantics, I guess it's possible she doesn't really even know herself. I've seen "fae" used as a catch-all term for supernatural beings, though folklorists would probably wince at that.

Remember, folks, this is going to be largely character-driven, so have goals in mind! Have ideas for what you'd like your character and team to accomplish! If you want to overthrow a government, go for it! The sky's the limit.

@Sterling In some mythos Fae are considered to be the offspring of angelic and demonic creatures. So a possible explanation could be she is a fae whose mother is a true succubus and that's where a lot of her power stems from. But she's your character :)

This is just my two cents, but lifting 100 tons is a little much, maybe tone that down to like 50 tons? Speed and reaction time too maybe?

Edit: I mean unless if you have a bunch of weaknesses that can make him reasonably balanced I'm not sure if you can avoid not toning him down. Someone else made a demigod based character and he isnt nearly as strong as someone who has cosmic blood. Though thats just my thoughts I'm not the gm. It just seems like your char can naturally be better at any physical skill more so then anyone else.

Appearance: Cy is a 6 foot tall platinum blonde with dangerous curves. Her eyes are a blueish green and her face freckled. Her skin is a creamy alabaster and she is usually dressed in a provocative manner her favorite clothing is leather.

Powers/Skills: Friction Manipulation- by imparting her power into any thing she chooses Cypress can manipulate, generate and otherwise control friction, the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other, ie. whether the contact causes the movement to stop (sticking the targets together) or continue.
By decreasing her skin and clothing's friction Cypress is so slippery that she is able to skid across a flat surface at great speeds her movements resembling more those of an Ice skater than a sprinter Her skin and clothing in this state can even deflect kinetic energy attacks such as bullets, swords, knives or even liquid attacks. If she is caught in a trap or stuck in a bind, Cypress can just slip away unless completely enclosed.

Inertia Manipulation- This ability allows Cypress to manipulate inertia, basically the amount of resistance matter has to a change in motion or stay at rest by increasing, decreasing and/or maintaining it. She can increase object’s inertia causing an immobile object to be even more immovable, or to make a mobile object unstoppable. She can also reduce an object’s inertia, so a normally powerful object, such as a train, could have its course of motion interrupted with the same effort as would be required to stop a bicycle.
Also by manipulating inertia Cypress is able to simulate super strength but only in a horizontal plane.
Example: She could theoretically once she plants her feet push a stranded Super tanker back out to sea but she can only lift 250 pounds over her head.

(Limitations- to exercise her inertia control on objects other than her own person requires that Cypress herself come to a stop and make herself a stationary target.)

Biography: Born to a dead mother in the aftermath of a gulf coast hurricane. That flooded her entire town Cypress was barely alive and would have died except that her father a Swedish merchant sailor like any parent refused to allow it. Then as the storm raged around them named her Cypress after the tree they found refuge in.

They were finally rescued three days after she was born it the coast guardsmen thinking it was a miracle she survived. Her father clung to life five days after the rescue but then like her mother and 78 members of the community she was from died of chemical poisoning within a week.

Now an orphan Cypress was remanded over to her mother's family in Alberta where she went to live.

What should have been the beginning of a beautiful story was anything but as her family neglected her and only kept her around as a way to collect on her father's pension. Eventually due to their neglect Cypress fell ill and had to be taken to the hospital where the authorities took her from them.

She was then raised in a children's group home where at the age of 11 she began demonstrating powers and was taken to Project Orchid Canada's Meta program with the eventual purpose that she become a Champion.

She's looking real good right now,the only thing I'd suggest is that her power usage is tied to stamina possibly? Just a thought. Besides that I don't have anything else to note, just that it looks good overall. Thoughts Poly?

@dragonmancer :) that's the point. I wanted this young, inexperienced 16 year old to be physically intimidating. Even if his build belies the fact. I essentially wanted him to be daunting for even "gods" to deal with. Seeing as his heritage is from a multi-deminsional being I think it makes sense.

@MrDidact@PolyphemusI brainstormed the idea, for a weakness, that perhaps the champion's greatest mind(s); fearful of his strength created some anti-dark matter weapon. A substance, Ray, or mineral that could absorb his powers and essential make him mortal in the process. Or create a weapon that could harm him as if he was a mortal.

These are just ideas by the way. A kryptonite substitute. I wouldn't mind hearing suggestions for other weaknesses by the way.

Some of these characters are looking pretty good. I've been lurking the past few days to remain up to date with what's going on. I have to say, there are a lot of champions. I suppose that can change IC, but it might be useful for a few people to switch to balance out the game. Just a thought.

@Renny Your character is pretty OP that's for sure. But a kriptonite type weakness could be a good answer. But instead of it being some kind of strange space mineral, how baout it's something more common, like Iron? (It doesn't have to be Iron) I'm just thinking it could be itneresting for him to have to deal with losing his powers fairly often, and working his way to getting them back. Or perhaps he has to be in direct sunlight? They say superman's powers are tied to the sun, the more sun he gets, the stronger he is. Perhaps being in the shade severely ddecreases your power, while at night you have none at all. Could be a good compromise?

@Renny I'll wait on Poly's thoughts but a kryptonite factor could be the answer. There are some very powerful characters in the RP, but yours is physically above all of them at the moment. Usually in an RP characters that powerful should be NPCs or Villains in my experience but we'll see. Also again if you're going with a cosmic backstory, I would be interested in seeing how that is fleshed out, but again he shouldn't be classified as a metahuman. He's entirely different. I'm also thinking he should look more otherworldly than he does.

@MrDidact I can understand the NPC necessity for being Uberstrong and for times like those, I can think God Fist would be on the front lines with Lancelot and Friction trying to solve the issue. As an organization I believe Champion would send out the appropriate Hero for the correct criminal. I don't see God Fist going out to solve minor issues, he would be sent to duke it out with these powerful villains and NPCs, along side veteran Heroes that can advise (babysit) him of course.

Besides Ara isn't the type to misuse his powers for anything "world breaking".

As for the whole category, I figured he be a Meta-Human cause he was a half-breed whose abilities popped up due to his blood. He isn't necessarily supernatural since I figured a Multi-Dimensional being could be a factual part of the Universe. He just has the blood of this extraordinary entity coursing through him. What would you consider him?

I prefer his human appearance to be the normal. I'm not too fond of an otherworldly image.

@Yin Jingshin And yea, he is overpowered lol. I got a good grasp on how I want to RP him though, so have no worries. If you guys doubt me after my posts then I'll have no objections to withdrawing him.

I actually considered the common metal thing too. Not too sure about iron though, what if Tellurium was used. Its rare but I think people, enemies, and other important characters could get their hands on it. Which the Champions and those who were high ranking inside, would have known.

I did study the space metal myself and I think its a believable in the grand-scheme of the whole "dark matter power" thing.

One of the more brilliant minds in the RP could figure out a machine to simply drain him of his dark matter reserves, once they figure out what he runs on. Shouldn't be too hard for geniuses on both sides.

@GreenGoat@RennyTrue dat. Just thought I'd throw some ideas out there and keep the ball rolling. A rare metal sounds like it could work too. The reason I went with something more common was to balance out the OP'ness with something that might be a more accessible weakness, rather than something that, although people may know about, may not be able to acquire. Of course, I just picked Iron off the top of my head, Silver or platinum or something like that might be a little better. Of course, we'll have to get Polly's verdict before we can move on. But like I say, just spitballing ideas. Cause I have to say, I don't mind you being as powerful as you are (and I'm sure you will RP respectfully) but I do mind that you have the potential to completly spam/exlpoit your powers IC. A more accessible weakness would help me feel better about that.
