@dark light As this RP is mostly writer-led, I think you're free to have your character ride any Pokemon they want. Common sense is the unofficial boundary... I don't think it's really necessary to come up with a definite list, or it would only make sense to do so for all Pokemon that can use all the HM moves and whatnot (sizewise, i mean. Because zubat can technically learn fly...)

I say we just let sleeping dogs lie and call people out for the unreasonable stuff, like riding Caterpies and whatnot. How about it?

I never considered how huge Dhelmise is

Like

That steering wheel has to be at least 8' in diameter, and the biggest I've seen is about 6'

Which means that is one humungous anchor, and that is a lot of seaweed. (Both of which I can get, seaweed gets to be really, really tall and anchors have to be pretty dense to keep ships from floating adrift.)

But like I never expected a rusty cartoon anchor to be bigger than Regigigas

this thing could just casually lean on the side of a train car and be like "'sup" as its needle spins around in that foot-and-a-half-wide compass it has for an eye

Dhelmise is a big mon.

I can't believe I just posted a rambling on Dhelmise at 12:14 in the morning.

@dark light unfortunately yes, I believe, as changing it would be unfair to those that managed to post on the 9th. Well at the end of the day, a bonus is just a bonus. Try to get it next time :)

so, um, @Balthazar007, @Dusksong, how do trainer battles work? I wasn't around when the system was explained and the section in the manual is incomplete?

It's in the Manual. And apparently Pokemon can only use moves of their type?
@Dusksong@Balthazar007

And us as creators have decide posting speed.

As well as how many pokemon is used, the Battle Title.

Only thing in work and progress seems to be the Reaction. Which we can probably calculate by either using points for dodging, or how much damage does to a pokemon [like double if its super effective, or half it if its not effective.]

maybe XD

@toadropes if I remember correctly, the missing section basically just consists of two parts: defending and attacking again (or retaliating). A pokemon may put EP into cancelling an equal amount of attack points directed at it. Pokemon whose types are super effective against their opponents do twice as much damage. Any damage not cancelled is subtracted from your Pokemon's HP. HP may substitute for EP if your Pokemon has no more EP. After you decide how many EP your Pokemon will defend with, you then decide how many EP the Pokémon will attack with, and etc.

Er I'm not too sure about the technicalities so @balthazar007 if you could explain anything i messed up on. Everyone else can pitch in too, as well as with any suggestions to the system you may have. Until Balth approves a new system, however, we will operate with this one.

Also question, for Pokemon with only 1 Evolution like Growlithe and Staryu, do they evolve at 10 or 20? And can Skilled Trainers control them?

@silver fox so Pokemon evolve naturally at level ten or twenty, but trainers can also opt to evolve them at an earlier level with an item like an evolution shard, which can be bpught with TP. That make sense?

I know this, I am asking if they (Pokemon with only 1 evolution) naturally evolve at 10 or 20 and if Skilled trainers can still control them since its their final form.

Terms:

Speed: 15 minutes to post, starting with challenger's first post.

Pokémon: 2 per trainer

Title: A Friendly, Low-stakes Bout Over Lunch

Terms: N/A

Rewards: The victor gains 2 TP from the loser, and the loser buys lunch that day.

@Balthazar007 @Silver Fox

(Also apparently abilities are for skilled trainers so poor Dewpider will have to sit this one out despite its really good ability :P)
