Bio: Jack was part of a large extended family. He had been adopted after he was found untouched after a house fire. Later in life, when he had wished to see his old mother to the extreme, she had appeared in front of him. But she was not the same. She was shriveled up, and burnt, like an overcooked chicken. He fled his new home and lived on the road from that day forward.

Abilities: Kitsune-bi(fox-fire) Kyy is able to shoot balls of flame from his mouth and tails. He also has sharp claw like nails.

Appearance:

Bio: Kyy grew up with five siblings, three brothers and two sisters. It was a happy family until some hunters mistook them for wild foxes after only seeing their tails in their den. Kyy and his youngest sister made it out unharmed and their mom escaped with them but died from her injuries not long after. From then, Kyy devoted himself to taking care of his sister. They've gone their own ways now but are still close.

Age: 17

Ability: Flow walking. It's an ability from Star Wars (RIP extended universe books) that allows the user to see, but RARELY influence (only with spoken words and very exhaustive concentration, never physical action) past events that occurred within a short timeframe (I'll leave how long the viewable timeframe can be up to the GM since I'm basically an RP noob again). Also, even if Lin successfully manages to make her voice heard in past events, she cannot directly alter her own timeline.

Appearance:

Strength: Hand-to-hand combat. She's a scrappy fighter who can hold her own in fisticuffs (or footicuffs if that's a thing). She's also extremely loyal and overly protective to the point of physical violence, which can often be looked as both a weakness and a strength.

Weakness: Motion sickness on almost all forms of travel. (Yeah, yeah, Natsu Dragneel....blah blah blah) She also has to be within a certain radius of where she wants to flow walk. For example, she can't flow walk as a form of mind travel or whatever (that'd just be weird and OP).

Bio: Lin's parents died in a fiery conflagration when their private jet crashed somewhere in a far off ocean. Lin was orphaned at the age of three. As a result of this tragedy, Lin spent the rest of her childhood either in an orphanage or bouncing from foster home to foster home. Her parents had been cocky and never gotten around to writing a will or giving young Lin a trust fund, for they were rich stockbrokers.

So she basically grew up always wishing she could go back in time and bring her parents back. It took a long time, but on her seventeenth birthday, Lin's home city had an earthquake, a sinkhole opened up underneath her, and she tumbled into a sewer. Getting up and brushing it off like the tough as nails young lady she was and is, Lin Yang continued forward, bravely exploring the sewer system for a way out. Either fortunately or not so fortunately, she instead happened upon some toxic radioactive sludge dumped into the sewer by heavens-know-who and, after tripping on a large rat and falling facefirst into the stuff, she gained her power.

Upon emerging from the sewers, Lin saw that she was surrounded by old-timey automobiles and people in strange, very old-fashioned clothes. It turned out that she had flow walked back into the 1950s! Elated, Miss Yang experimented with this ability to no end, but found much to her dismay, that no matter how hard she focused, she couldn't bring her parents back. Ever since she snapped out of that initial burst, she has only been able to achieve very small flow walks of up to an hour in length.

Pretty soon, news stories started cropping up about more teenagers like herself developing essentially superpowers. While her own power was a carefully kept secret, Lin decided it couldn't hurt to apply for the school since she had nowhere else to go. In short, Lin has a fierce personality and can go between very mature and all jokes - of the practical or pun variety - at the drop of a hat. She is currently en route to the academy as a cargo ship stowaway and feeling very VERY apprehensive about it since she gets motion sickness from the PTSD of hearing how her parents died.

Ability:
Bloody Mary: She can turn her blood acidic like and burn when it touches another thing/person without hurting herself with it. She can also make the blood solidify and form shapes out of her hands (tiny shapes not like a full sword for now). She wears one ring on each hand with a hidden blade so that she can cut her palms to access her blood.
The more she uses her power aka the more blood being let out the weaker she becomes before she faints from blood loss.

Bio: Val grew up being feared and thrown away. Apparently having acidic blood spewing out of your body would get you labeled as a “demon child”. She was thrown around household to household, and eventually not even the church would take her in. Because of this she tends to act rash and has a “take no shit” attitude. She hates weak people but at the same time hates people who push others around and act high and mighty. Val hates violence but because of her personality, it becomes an inevitable force in her life.

Due to her past, Carrie is fairly good with handguns, but they are not her weapon of choice. Her weapon of choice is a deck of cards. Yes, when armed with a pack of playing cards, Carrie is more than lethal. In addition, Carrie has a number of skills from her days of being a street con artist. From picking pockets to blackmail, Carrie knows it all. But, above, all else, Carrie has one skill that's better than all the others: she's a perfect liar.

Ability:
Carrie has the ability to alter people's perception of reality. This ability is mainly used to create tangible illusions. Such illusions, while they cannot make the impossible become possible (i.e. a person dying from a stab wound that's not there), they can make someone believe something so much that it affects what they do (i.e. a person keeling over in pain and bandaging up a wound that's not real).

-Please, please, please don't metagame when Carrie lies. If you know that Carrie is lying, but your character wouldn't, just play along. I've played with metagamers, and it resulted in arguments upon arguments, as well as a few black eyes and stab wounds. I don't mind if a character calls out Carrie once or twice, but don't have your character be resistant to deception, or I'll have to answer in kind.

Bio: Neemious doesn't know much of his past. He just remembers waking up in clearing with a backpack contanclothes, A blank cellphone, a wallet(just Money), and a box of matches. When he got to his first town, people stared at him oddly. He then went up to a man infront of a mall preaching. he asked the man where might be a place to stay, but the man started shouting something about a demon. Then people closed around and he just backed away. He went to a gas station, went into the restroom and saw his reflection. Then, some thuggish looking people came in and asked for his wallet. He said no, but then they brought out a gun. Before the bullet hit him, he turnrd into a the gargoyle, and then the bullet bounced off. He lost slight control over himself, because what he turned into was caused by the spirit, Eldrich. Afterward, while walking with sunglasses to hide his eyes, he saw the flyer in an alleyway, and he talked it over with Eldrich, who though it a grand idea.

Ability: Able to give the gift of sentience to living beings, namely plants and animals, equal to that of a human of average intelligence. Telepathy

Restriction: Juan is normally only able to give sentience to one being at a time, but has pushed himself to a limit of three in the past. The beings to which he gifts intelligence, only retain said intelligence in his presence. With sufficient distance between Juan and the recipients of his gift, they lose the life he gave them and return to their unaltered state.

Appearance: Standing at 5'4", Juan is of slender build, built for agility rather than strength. Juan has short, light, brown hair and vibrant, jade eyes. Although he looks like any average human in most regards, his skin has a peculiar golden glow about it, which is especially noticeable in the dark.

Bio: Juan was found on the doorstep of a Spanish priest on the outskirts of a small town in Texas. He grew up in a childhood which, other than being strongly influenced by Catholicism, was quite mundane. There weren't very many children that lived near Juan and his adoptive father, but it never bothered him. He, like most other young children, had imaginary friends. It wasn't until he was eight years old that his father realized that Juan's so called "imaginary friends" weren't so imaginary after all.

Being fed up with his son constantly talking to himself, Juan's father finally confronted him. After angrily asking Juan when he would grow up and forget his imaginary friends, Pequeñito, Juan's pet rat, squeaked loudly from his cage. Juan's father, Mario, turned his head to find himself staring straight into a pair of beady, black eyes. A high voice enters Mario's mind, asking, "Am I any more imaginary than your god?" Mario drops to his knees and begins praying, pleading God above to save he and his son from what he assumed could only be a demon. Soon, however, his son assuaged his fears by revealing that he was able to temporarily gift plants and animals with consciousness. From that point on, Mario was sure that the little boy he had rescued was a miracle sent from God himself. He decided to help his son keep his abilities secret until he was mature enough to reveal them to the world. Over the next seven years, Mario spent countless nights researching and scouring the internet for signs of other miracle children. Finally, he found just what he had been looking for. A camp where children with extraordinary powers could develop both their abilities and friendships with one another. After a year to save up what money he could, Mario saved up enough to fly Juan to the camp.

Bio: Madalynn was an orphan never knowing where she came from and she stumbled across her ability when she was younger, when she found a dusty old book with torn pages. She still has it and it has accumulated many tears across the years. It's Alice in Wonderland, she always skips the last part because she hates the feling of sorrow when its all just a dream. The strange thing about her ability is that sometimes bits of the book never fully go back and she swears its different each time. She has a pet bunny called thumper she takes him wherever she goes.

She looks forward to going to this new camp, maybe she will make new friends outside of her books but she will never leave her book friends behind. Shes looking forward to hearing about other abilities and hopes they like her. Maybe they will go on aventures, only one way to find out!

Ability: Inhuman agility and reflexes. Wing powered flight and soul-bound items.

Appearance: 5'9 in height, 149 lbs, lean muscle build, white hair, snake-like blue eyes, serrated sharp canine teeth. Small pointed white horns protrude from his skull on the top of his head. He has a long skinny short-furred tail that ends in a fluffy tuft, a little like a lions; colour matches his hair. Large bat-like wings can protrude from his back to allow powered flight, these wings are one of his soul-bound 'items' as they're a summoned physical aspect rather than a physical alteration - otherwise he'd be going through a lot of shirts.

Ability Elaboration: Besides his agility and reflexes, as well as his horns and tail that seem to have no real purpose other than making him stand out, Kaeden has the ability to summon what he likes to call 'soul-bound items'. These are things attached to his soul on an astral level that he can manifest on the physical plane for his use. He only owns two: his wings and a pair of silver clawed gauntlets which he uses as weapons. Being soul-bound they can only be worn on his person in their specified location, meaning he can't summon his wings or gauntlets onto another person for them to use themselves. He manifests them using focus and intent, so his ability to summon them at all depends on his mental state. I.e if he's too tired or fatigued, or in a trance, he won't be able to focus well enough to summon them.

Personality: Socially awkward at first (often fails to mitigate this using humour), very skeptical and often skittish, easily startled, very social despite being terrible at it, can quickly get anxiety at random times, will be very withdrawn when dealing with anxiety.

Biography:

Kaeden has a traumatic past that still affects him deeply to this day.

His own birth parents had abandoned him in the middle of no where deeming him a monstrous curse upon them. Why? When he was 5 years old, just in kindergarten, his teacher had brought to the attention of his parents, strange growths on his head. One x-ray later, they had discovered their own son seemed to be growing a pair of horns from his skull. No biological or DNA test could provide them an answer as to why. Being quite the christian couple they tried to ignore it as just some form of mutation that would likely go away when he got older.

Except it got worse. At age 6 he began growing a tail, it wasn't entirely unusual for a human to have a tail, though highly unlikely, but what had his parents concerned was that his tail had white fur on it. Around the same time, his brown hair had become lighter and lighter in colour, until by age 7 his hair was completely white. It wasn't until his pupils became like that of a snake that his parents constantly began fighting about him, even discussing the matter of 'putting him down' before they ultimately decided to abandon him outside of the city.

From there he was bounced around different foster homes month after month, growing attached to his current parents only to have them throw him away, getting attached to his new parents only for the same thing to happen again. Some were weirded out by him, some tried to ignore his odd features, others were disgusted and many ended up neglecting him. At one point he discovered his summoning abilities when he was letting his frustrations out on his bedroom furniture, scratching everything up wishing he had claws to do more damage, to which clawed gauntlets appeared on his hands. Since then he tried experimenting, eventually discovering he could also summon wings, that's where his ability seemed to halt since further experimentation gave no results. He never showed any of his foster parents what he could do, figuring he's enough of a freak to them as is. The cycle of love>hate>abandon repeated multiple times, eventually making him feel hopeless and numb up until he reached age 15.

His last foster parents had kept him longer than the others had. He started feeling an inkling of hope that perhaps they didn't care about how different he was. Until one night when they thought he was asleep, he overheard them talking about getting rid of him. He was heartbroken to once again feel unwanted and unloved. His sadness turned to anger. He revealed himself to them, and during a heated shouting match, he summoned his gauntlets and slashed at his foster dads face. He still remembers their terrified expressions, how they looked at him like he truly was a monster. He ran away after that.

Ever since, he had become a thief to survive on his own. Becoming a squatter and taking residence in forgotten homes. It was during police chases and hunting parties that he learned of his inhuman capabilities of agility, speed and reflexes. However, his lifestyle of caution, wariness and fear of being caught by the age of 17 has left him highly skittish, jumpy and very skeptical of people's motives. One day after successfully stealing some food, he came across a flyer with information about a camp for people like him. His heart had raced with excitement at the mere thought that he wasn't alone. Dropping everything he had stolen to the ground he summoned his wings and without hesitation snatched the flyer and took off towards it's designated location.

Ivory is a very quiet and shy girl. She doesn't really talk unless spoken too. She is very gentle and kind, and puts others before herself. She has social anxiety and she tends to stick with people she knows. If Ivory knows you, you can guarantee she is a wonderful, shy, kind friend.

Ability: He's a fast kid. Super Speed is the ability that he was granted upon birth. It's gotten him into trouble, but nothing that he couldn't outrun.

Bio: Toby's been a troublemaker since birth. Always getting into things that he knew would get him in trouble, but he loved the thrill of it. He developed his speed in his early teens, running from cops and whoever else tried to chase him down. But now that he's 17, he needs to make friends. So off to camp he goes.

Personality: He gets into trouble a lot. But he's kind, and oddly trustworthy. He struggles with making jokes, but sometimes he's actually funny.
