⛨ Personality: Gradon is someone with a skewered perception of how the world works outside of a battleground. Being entranced with the idea of hunters and Grimm-slaying has left him with an awkward sense of self when it comes to social interactions with other people. Or in general. Quite frankly, it’s almost like he’s an alien from another world, questioning the usage of such simple things such as doors with polite regard.

In this manner, Gradon is often called an idiot when it comes to common sense. A polite and overall nice person by all means, but still an idiot. The sole exception to this seems to be during combat situations, his body and mind reacting as if he was born to be a warrior at heart. One had just better hope he’s not placed on cooking duty afterwards because he will burn down the dorms trying to figure out how to turn on the oven.

⛨ History: Gradon’s history is nothing too spectacular. Simply put, he wanted to be a hunter who slayed Grimm and protect people. Though he tended to lean more towards traditional knight mannerisms and customs, it did not deter his want to help people and thus began this career as a student of Beacon Academy.

Beforehand, his family instilled into him constantly that one must hone their body at all costs in order to become a strong hunter or huntress. Gradon took this literally, eager to train his fighting skills day and night to the point where he could be considered a prodigy in the field of combat. Unfortunately this has made his social skills suffer tremendously to the point where the simplest of things can stump Gradon if it’s not connected to fighting in some way. Like trying to open a door.

Because of his appearance and efficiency in fighting, he’s been given the nickname of “Not-Kirito”. It’s a shame he doesn’t really know what that means nor does he fully understand the reference all too well, but he’s more than happy to learn. As an eager student, he’s always tried to be open-minded of many things and become an overall nice guy. More often than not however this kindness dips into nativity and just lack of common sense. But such is the life of a student.

⛨ Weapon: Gradon’s weapon is a mighty sword cannon by the name of Round Table. Much like fellow student Amber Echo, this weapon does not have a secondary transformation; instead, it remains in its primary state at all times and can be mounted onto Gradon’s back. Round Table not only serves as a mighty sword, but also covers long-ranged capabilities with bullets meant to pierce through the thickest of Grimm hides. Whether or not it has the ability to incorporate Dust materials into its bullets is unknown as Gradon never bothered to try.

⛨ Semblance: By successfully parrying or blocking an oncoming attack, Gradon can then inflict the same amount of damage or force right back at the enemy almost instantly. However, this ability can only work when defending against physical close-combat attacks, such as sword strikes. If one were to carelessly slash at a defensive Gradon, a cut of similar proportion would immediately present itself on the enemy. Unfortunately, this unique power reverts Gradon’s fighting style to retain more defensive capabilities than offensive ones, forcing him to rely solely on counterattacks to fully utilize it.

⛨ Strengths: Gradon’s body has been trained to the point where fighting and combat is almost natural to him. Thus, he’s certainly not lacking in the physical portion of being a hunter, though communication is sometimes lacking thanks to his more off-handed quirks. Even so, he seems to do better socially when in combat anyway, so long as it pertains to the objective at hand.

⛨ Weaknesses: Gradon is not a proficient user with Dust and so prefers to rely on his weapon and Semblance in combat. He’s tried his hand at Fire type Dust once or twice, only to burn his dorm bed almost immediately. Other elements have had similar results so he just sticks to swinging and shooting.

Furthermore, he’s not the most proficient when involved with things outside of combat. That’s not to say he’s hopeless in social interactions, but more often than not he can come across as stilted and awkward. Thus, don’t expect him to be of much help in anything besides combat. Literally.

⛨ Relationships: To be determined if a certain Edgelord Drama Queen joins this RP or not.

@Vongola_Hasayo you said you need help with an idea for semblance, right? What about something that exemplifies his wild attacks? Like something along the lines of making temporary duplicates of himself that can easily be destroyed (one or two hits) but their power is in numbers and overwhelming opponents. They will probably be a lot weaker than the original Leaf and are wild cards. This means they will and can attack anything, except their other clones and Leaf himself. Leaf has no control over how any of them act and can attack any without repercussion to himself. Probably have five to ten at once and depending on how many they are x times weaker than Leaf (ex. ten Leafs would mean their attacks would be 10x weaker). Maybe call it Pack Mentality?

That's my recommendation. I would say to iron it out if you wish to choose it as it's rather... rough from my viewpoint and might not be balanced.

On a side note, gonna try and get thirty minutes in to review more, but once that's up I'm out for an hour or so.

Erm, so basing her attack on thought will denote whether or not her invisibility breaks... or is it when she is about to attack? I feel this can be sort of a loophole abuse since she doesn't have to think I'm going to attack but just attack without a single thought... or am I getting this wrong somewhat?

I also feel like the CQC isn't much of a weakness since she has a shotgun to off put this flaw. Since she can maneuver around with her briskness and acrobatic abilities, it nullifies this part of her weakness. Also, never missing a shot... It looks like she can cover long and short range rather well.

Anyways, figure out a way to nerf her appropriately and then I'll judge her again.

Even with the emotional reactions and constant focus, she feels somewhat overpowering. Quick hard attacks, speed isn't inhibited, and can easily close the distance if she can move briskly. While this does make her lack any ranged options, all she just needs to do is concentrate on keeping her semblance up and watch her allies in a group fight. While some semblances are stronger in singular combat or against multiple opponents, I feel there will be no tangible weakness unless you know her secrets or if she watches someone she loves get hurt. The latter can be nullified since she is strong and fast, along with nullifying damage.

If I'm incorrect on any of these, please correct me. Until then, I would say to nerf this semblance.

No. And I mean no in a serious way. I mean, you copied and pasted the story that was in the previous roleplay you used him in and certain characters won't exactly exist during this time, i.e. Amber Echo, Jing-Que Xue, and Bran Brass. Along with that, it's Beacon xP

I know these details are minuscule but if you could correct these, he should be good to go.

You have some of the same problems as Allen involving the backstory. I'll start with the minor part involving the minor name of the antagonist in your charys story. Is Felix Princeton a name based on color some how or no? If the answer is yes, ignore this bit. If the answer is no, could you change it to something a little more fitting?

One of the more major parts is him graduating from the Shade Huntsman Academy. I would say get rid of the part where he decided to attend Shade and rework it so he ends up attending Beacon since that's the setting of the story.

Fix those, and you should be alright.

Lariah is a stout hearted and confident girl. She believes that hard work and effort will get you everywhere in life. She’s a very active person, enjoying going outdoors and partaking in activities during the day. She doesn’t like to idle and whilst not overly energetic, she can sometimes get irritated and bored when staying in one place for too long. She can be a bit rough and physical around her friends too, but she always means well by it. Though this does mean she’s not sure how far she should and shouldn’t be going. She is also something of a motivator, often there to help her friends if they cannot get something done. Whilst not unintelligent, Lariah is not particularly knowledgeable and will struggle with theory work. She can also be somewhat brash, speaking her mind and not thinking fully through what she says. Lariah is also not particularly competitive, just striving for personal goals rather than against others.

History:
Lariah was born in a coastal town in Vale, born to a marine biologist father and a huntress mother. She grew up right next to the ocean and thanks to that, she grew fond of it, taking up fishing as a hobby when she was young and even attempting to go with her father on his diving trips. She took an interest in her father’s work studying marine life but failed to grasp the subtleties and studies in detail and thus, became more of physical help than study help.

When she was older, her father took her on diving trips with him, giving her experience underwater and instilling a love of the great deep. She also aspired after her mother in combat school and showed impressive strength. This led her to start working out properly to increase her strength and she quickly became a powerful opponent in battle. When she discovered her semblance at the age of 15, she continued her combat training underwater, using it to simulate her semblance and not only grow used to the feeling, but also work on being able to fight.

Whilst working with her father on diving trips, she encountered and helped fend of marine Grimm types and continued to grow more experienced, now using her key weapon after discovering the sea mine on a salvage ship that pulled into harbour. She became extremely passionate about huntress work when she was able to combine both sides of her life into a single activity. She eventually was faced with a choice between going into her father’s business in marine biology or attending a Hunter academy. After her father convinced her the life of in depth study simply wasn’t for her, she chose to go to the academy and take her training and love of the ocean with her.

Weapons:
Daedalus Detonator - A large heavy iron flail, made up of a large repurposed sea mine on one end with a skull emblem and an iron chain with a cylindrical handle segment in the middle. Whilst functional as a standard ball and chain weapon, it’s true strength comes in the hidden explosive dust cores hidden in the ball. When in its active state, if the flails’ triggers are activated, the ball with shoot out clouds of explosive dust, causing extreme damage. The ball is limited to 15 detonations before the cores need to be changed.

Semblance:
Pressure Drop – In use, it creates a large field around Lariah of increased gravity, making those effected feel like they’re on the seabed, a crushing effect on their head and making their movements sluggish and heavy. Whilst this semblance also effects and slows down Lariah, she has trained in environments that match her semblance and has trained using it, so she is less effected by it and has a higher resistance.

Strengths:
Lariah is immensely strong and fierce, a single blow from her or her weapon can result in severe damage. She is also able to use it as a spinning shield and catching opponent's weapons in her chain. Her semblance is more for solo usage but it can effectively pin down large groups of enemies for Lariah to deal with personally. She is also physically strong, so even without her weapon and semblance, she can bring the pain.

Weaknesses:
Lariah is not terrible agile and thus she isn't good at dodging attacks, usually relying on a flail spin to protect her from shots. Her Pressure Drop ability can bring her teammates down and she is not unaffected by it. Her weapon is mostly close to mid range and lacks any real long range capabilities, making her an easy target for snipers.

Other:
Lariah still has a love of fishing and will take the chance to do some, even being able to cook it if given a fire. She is also proficient playing with a yoyo. She has a personal dislike of horror movies and insects and doesn't like overly hot places.

@SavoDeciding on the action of attacking is what cause her to reform, so while she can target someone, like through a scope, and can prep for it(charging sequence), the moment she decides to go through with the act of attacking is when the ability starts to fade away.

As for weakness bit, I'll concede to that. I think a good weakness for her would be that her Aura is weaker than average due to her lack of properly training it, or that after using her semblance, she sometimes has episodes of out of character excitability and recklessness(which could be determined via Dice roll), causing her to put herself in more danger for the thrill of it?(not feeling the latter, really). As for the bit of her never missing, that was more of an exaggerated way if saying she's a good shot then an actual fact, and more applicable to her long range game then short. Dealing with a highly mobile foe, especially at Close range, will mean that she has a low chance of hitting them without back up. She really avoids 1v1 fights where she is facing another person, preferring to run away rather than risk getting taken down because she tried to play frontline.

@Savo Princeton is a colour; it's an obscure trademarked shade of Orange :P As for the Shade bit, I've edited it to indicate that he earned a transfer from Shade to Beacon early on - but I've raised his age to 18, if that's okay.

Also, just on the Oasis stuff: There's no formal prep college for Shade in the RWBY EU, so I created Oasis as a sort of Vacuo counterpart to Signal in Vale.
