@XenoCyanide

Well, being forced to interact with people, 'awkward' would be one way of running it. Theres certainly something going on up there, just hard to pin it down.

Edit: That and a slight fear of authority which Tiberius exudes. >_<;

@Cuccoruler Zenovia is done posting for the day. Only other person who hasn't posted in regards to this is Laina. I think it would be safe to keep the narrative going.

@Hawlin Half the fun is exploring your own character and nailing down the personality. To me, as a third party observer, she seems to be more of a free spirit. She pretends to not care about the established order of things, but perhaps she truly does care in her own way. She is probably more an engine of chaos, infinitely curious and constantly asking "What If?" This potentially makes her very dangerous but also very unpredictable.

Just my observation, anyway.

@ineffable

Not sure what kind of suggestions you're looking for, but what I tend to do is to play music that places me in my character's frame of mind. After reading what has happened, I close my eyes and I play it over and over in my head like a movie. Then I begin describing what my character is doing in my head, inserting him into the narrative. After that, I try and commit that to words.

Ah, thank you! That's a beautiful idea and I will definitely do that. What I was wondering was what do I actually do in this scene that is playing out.

Haha. Well that is entirely up to you. Get into the mind frame of your character. In my experience, the more robust and fleshed out a character's history is, the better you're able to get into the mind of it. My own perspective is that Laina is unsure of herself and has dedicated her life to healing the violent tendencies of those around her. She doesn't seem like a fighter that gets into the thick of battle. However, it is your character after all, so you could definitely make her more malleable to a situation, acting more in instinct rather than logic in situations such as this. I'm waiting for Storyteller to post until I commit to something, personally, but you could definitely tend to Zen since he got knocked over.

Gorman isn't a very good liar. He tends to take the high road. In this case, he's testing Tiberius's authority and intelligence. Gorman has an alibi - he's been talking to Kaite this whole time. But he doesn't even know what crime he's suspected of. Moreover, he doesn't feel obligated to explain himself to Tiberius. The situation could escalate if Tiberius doesn't figure things out quick.

Then he lightly slapped Tiberius across the face (or helmet if he had it on).

Gorman is one of the Captain's most elite orcs. Not only does he have extensive experience fighting members of other races, the Captain taught him most of the tricks used by the other races. Not to mention he has a huge size and speed advantage over Tiberius. Big =/= slow, muscles = fast.

I'd actually argue that muscles mean you're faster, but that's neither here nor there. Lol.

That's what I was saying. Big does not equal slow; rather, muscles equal speed. A big strong orc is both fast and powerful. Add training to the mix, and he becomes almost unbeatable in close combat.
