Its either 3 tails or 6 tails. A water based tailed beast. It would be bizarre inside someone who uses fire based attacks to have a water based spirit inside them. I think it would be interesting to see what would happen when you put the two natures that cancel each other out together in one person. Also they are my two favorite tailed beasts. Either a giant turtle or a giant slug would work

So this is this is my current train of thought:

Byakugan: The eye of protection, whose powers allow for protection against attack and the quick analysis and neutralization of threats (Gentle Fist, Eight Trigrams, telescopic and x-ray vision). This reflects the idea of the Hyuga as a close-minded clan, never letting ideas or secrets out of their grasp and staying aloof from the affairs and opinions of others.

Its not much, but the idea was that the seal placed on side branches was used to control and limit the growth of the Byakugan so that the side branches don't overthrow the main house, and its overall growth for the whole clan was stunted. A part of this seal prevented side branches from unlocking the o' so fabled Chou Byakugan", a second stage of awakening like the Mangekyou but that allows the user to slow their own perception of time, making the opponent seem to move in slow motion as they strike the tenketsu with ease etc. (more to be added)

This is discovered during the First Winter and a split takes place, some from the Main Family wish to attain it, causing a sort of mini-civil war within the clan; with one side holding tight the clans ideas, and those who wish to move from this and attain what they call 'enlightenment'. With support from the Branch Family, the Enlightenment side overthrows the Main Family.

@LokiLeo789 I'm conflicted because this sounds very similar to space-time jutsu and we generally do not accept space-time jutsu because it just create plotholes everywhere. There are exceptions, but this sounds like it's just insane reflex times.

IIRC, Sharingan already has this, too. The eyes move so fast that everything appears in slow motion. Different concept, same premise.

Furthermore, I can see some hole here in the sense that this sounds like some sort of 'activated' ability. The catch is that byakugan doesn't have, say, 'jutsu' that have to do with the dojutsu (unlike the sharingan, which have a lot of jutsu). A byakugan ability is, when activated, always active. Any application of jutsu afterwards is purely done by the user, and not the dojutsu.

As a result, that would mean that when the user activates their byakugan, they would more or less.. always see in slow motion.

That sounds very annoying to me.

I'm not sure. I'll sleep a night on it, but you can bother Hillan for his opinion.
