A male who can use magic is a Sorcerer. Though, since sorcerers aren't just male witches, their a separate species of human, a male born by a witch may just simply not inherit magical powers at all. Definitely was the case for Chrona.....who was a boy, right?

But anyway, yeah, a male who can use magic is called a sorcerer.

Their gender was never specified in the manga.

The English dub used 'he' because 'it' doesn't quite have the the same meanings. Original Japanese used gender neutral pronouns.

And just to be politically correct (because that's a super important thing right now) when we say female, we mean you need to not have a Y chromosome. It's based on genetics.

Bah, technicality only serves a grand purpose in a world without subjectivity.

On an objective scale, we have no meaning but the ones we give and those meanings are just based off a series of chemicals going off in our brain.

Everything is put together, everything is objectively worthless.

Luckily, I don't say or do things because they're "technically correct", I do things because I want to, any reason beyond that is what stupid people say to feel validated in something that had no right answer to begin with. In this case, I call Chrona "they" because I like Chrona and like seeing them as a person and I put disclaimers on calls of gender because my life is to insignificantly short to bother talking down SJWs.

To be specific, even if my character was any other race, he'd technically be a Witch as his Soul is that of a Witch. I could change it to Sorcerer (with which his background states that he contains a Witch Soul), but I think feel like Splitting Witch into two genders (or infinity if we use Chrona logic) is making things a bit complicated. That is, however, an opinion. If you would be happier I go with the first option then I will do so.

Maybe it's because the magic comes from the womb, maybe because a lady made a deal with the devil and so all woman have to pay. Whether ya like it or not, all witches are female, gender is the factor. Maybe not the factor you like, but it is the factor.

lol some Madness seem to have happened, and I will emit they do change a lot of terms from the manga compared to things like the anime. Like referring to them as Technicians. Kind of crazy there. Also I believe they prefer to Crona as 'They' because of simple fact Chrona is two people in one. The weapon and The Meister. Read through a few chapters now of the manga, probably could finish it in one to two days if I read it non stop lol (which I've been known to do when I get into a story). If you judge by how Crona acts it would probably be safer to assume Crona is a boy but (shrugs) it's just what I believe. Even though even the Wiki doesn't state a gender lol.

Nearly can't wait for this now, If this can progress smoothly then it could be an amazing roleplay. But there will probably be bound to be some roadblocks here and there.

It really isn't nearly as complicated as it sounds, but Crona's gender and their pronouns won't really be an issue considering the ending of the manga where Crona sacrifices themselves to lock the Kishin in a black blood bubble on the moon. Sealing the madness wavelength away.

The OP is still under construction, so more will be added to it when we do set up the thread. Expect a few more rules, clarified character sheet templates, etc. As @Kouki noted, character acceptance is not based on first come first serve but overall quality. They are working on storyboarding the first part of the rp, plotting out the first mission and such.

We are both here to help improve character sheets and offer some feedback for improvement.
