Sad that my replies are forced to be few and far between :(
Interesting how people immediately assume that Skyblue has an established history of being an alcoholic and this isn't just a one-night go-out-and-get-smashed deal.
Which it was.
And please, consult me before you start reminiscing about all the years your character has known Skyblue. He's been there a year, maybe two. He's surprised he's lasted even THAT long as a teacher.
Come on, guys. You don't need to rewrite my character's backstory. His antics tend to be fresh and exiting, not the same thing over and over. And just to clarify, I'm not mad about this, just mildly amused at the variety of interpretations.
So, here's a thought that will likely be my next post. Beyond willfull suspension of disbelief for the sake of the story, what's stopping a crop of modern day teenagers from deciding that this whole situation is too good to be true and choosing to not enter the magically appearing castle? Just deciding this whole thing is too weird and strange and reads like the setup for a cult or something and choosing to walk off to try and reach civilization.
I mean, I honestly kinda just feel totally lost. I'm not really sure what to do at this point and I feel a weird paradoxical feeling like this is somehow moving massively too fast and like everyone else seems to think we're crawling. Is it because I didn't really have anyone interested in interacting with my character because...I dunno, I didn't do much or he was obnoxious?
I dunno, I'm having trouble keeping up, I guess? The fact that we seem to get like 20 or so posts every time I have to do some daily stuff or go to sleep might not be helping for me. I know we haven't done anything plotwise, that's not my issue exactly. I just feel like I'm not getting any chance to interact with or react to things and people somehow, despite the fact that nobody else seems to be having a problem.
Alright, so for those of you who missed it, all of the first year students will have been told (offscreen) to meet up at the thicket of trees to take an assessment test with Asa, which will be a game of capture the flag. It will be done in order to assess how skilled and knowledgeable the students are at their powers. Non first year students are allowed to join, but they don't have to. I wanted to do this later after the students were given some time to explore the Institute building, but considering that not many people have been posting, I'm just gonna start it now to keep the RP from, well, dying. I'll also send a message to everyone who has a first year character about this as well
@VitaVitaAR @SaberClass4242 @Mercurial @Dragonsinc @Dblade26 @Cu Chulainn @blumenk @clanjos
@Azereiah
From what I can remember, the only student who has anything like that would be Johnathan, who isn't a first year anyway. Is there anyone else I'm forgetting?
@tipssyCalibrator
That's why I'm trying to find out who, out of the non-first year students, wants to meet Mina.
It's the first day, so Mako probably won't be teaching a class. Or should I have her teach the first years after they're finished with the assessment test?
1. Can I join still?
2. Hard cap on characters?
3. Has anything of note happened yet? If so, is there a short summary I could get?
