@Deos Morran Please do. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see what people are making with the world I thought up. On the subject of augmenting your abilities, I have this to say - make a Dragonkin character. They're permanently in peak physical condition, and are essentially enhanced by magic occurring naturally in the pathogen they carry (hereditarily, oddly) to that end. We can encounter magical artefacts permitting you to further up the ante on this in the RP itself, but that relies on tangling with the Heavens' Eyes directly, which none of us are ready for yet.

Both of ya please do feel free to co-make your characters as bounty hunters.

Ekaterine will use her rifle to allow her to sneak if there are too many enemies to her to get close, and after that, she'll use her trench knife to painfully murder her targets.

Think of her somewhat as a rogue/trickster.

@13900IpForThis They're not just capitalist, they're imperialist, and very good at it. A huge part of the reason they've not been totally overthrown is because their hegemony is sourced not from domination but also from cooperation. They protect the working class from the most insidious of organised crime rings- though a certain degree of it is allowed to continue, to make people dependent on the state - so that nobody can call them ineffective. Additionally, the upper classes aren't all that debauched - they're obsessed with Genius and Invention more than simple luxury and pleasure, though they like that too - so the human trafficking trade doesn't have a large market to pander to.

Plus, I didn't really make that kind of World. I imagine there are places as dark as that, but we have yet to venture into them - and our characters are only at the beginning of their journeys, we have much stronger to get. I'll take a look at your app in a minute.

Also... do gunblades exist? I had this thought of weildingn two swords but what if those swords were strapped to pistols!

Back to magic though. I'm cool with being at odds with the Heaven's Eye, but I was really hoping to be Human. I got all these cool pictures and everything! Still, I guess I could switch, just need a minute to roll some stuff around and totally redo the appearance tab. As for the physical aspect of it... The whole idea was that he'd be faster than any normal man due to this magic to kinda level the playing field for him being a swordsman in a gunslinger's world.

@Deos Morran Gunblades, not exactly - though there are likely swordsmanship schools that incorporate a revolver or pistol, to even the odds. Also, there will be plenty of room for traditional melee regardless of speed - which is why my character has a sword too. Dragonkin are just male, they don't NEED to be ginger or anything. Male and dyslexic and good with dragons is their calling cards.

For The Iron Dominion to have a substantial leftist workforce, some conditions must be poor, otherwise there would be no reason to rebel or migrate to a different nation. What do the leftist of the TID (The Iron Dominion) want in particular? Same as the leftist of medieval time? Just how liberal are they?

Also, what about religion, excluding the mad Heaven-Eyes?

Personality: Syn is a man who carries his own morale code. It is difficult to comprehend what may lie within this code of conduct that he follows, but all will agree that he is fair in all his assessments when addressing a situation. He is a decision-maker, strategist, warrior, and thinker. Syn holds no mercy to those who combat against him or he feels they are wrong in a certain action. It is this conviction that he holds himself accountable with in all assets of his.

Biography: Syn was born under the Oakheart Sovereignty and matured into a knight of renowned status during Jane Oakheart’s reign. She would coordinate a rebellion to take place in the middle of Ethelon, this event would shift Syn’s line of thought as his world would be turned inside out. What he had been conditioned to believe unfolded before him to be untrue and proven to him by his own Princess. Soon after these events he would be assigned to hunt down other knights who defected with the Princess. In good conscious, he knew he could not bring himself to kill other knights, who he had trained, trained with, and fought next too. Instead Syn would break his oath to the Oakheart Sovereignty and was introduced to bounty hunting by a friend of his who had been receiving contracts from the Heaven’s Sky at the World Court.

Syn would join his friend for a few years fulfilling contracts for the World Court. These contracts included artefact hunting, bounty hunting, courier service, personal escorts, etc. Five years into providing services for the World Court, Syn’s friend was killed in a conflict between two city-states that The World Court was trying to mitigate violent escalation. Unfortunately, the mission was unsuccessful and Syn was left with taking his friend’s role as Captain of the “Aeon Rise”.
The ship had too much sentimental value and had already been modified to fit Nasargiel; the dragon who has never left Syn’s side since his days with the Oakheart Sovereignty.


Skills/Abilities/Talents:

• Acrobatic: Syn is built from years of conditioning the body to take immense physical pain. It is one of the many focuses during one’s training to becoming a knight and dragon rider for the Oakheart Sovereignty. This type of training is paired with acrobatics, sustaining long durations of muscle exertion in order to perform a purpose.
  “Find the state of balance in your body, through peace in your mind, with blood on your hands.” - Syn’s Mentor, Valius Dregger.
• Ship Mastery: Syn has the ability to read the weather, navigate the skies, steer the ship, and command others with complete assertiveness through his decision making. He is experienced, unwavering, and has a dominant aura that surrounds him. His strong ability to fly and lead a crew is without question.
• Drake Riding: Syn was once a knight of the Oakheart Sovereignty, his training provided him the methods to ride a dragon. In his years spent with the Sovereignty, he has been riding the same dragon that goes by the name of Nasargiel.
• Hand & Sword Mastery: Syn does not prefer the gun toting life, he does find them honorable as it requires two individuals to disassociate with the experience that is a duel. He feels that when fighting another man or woman for the sake of purpose and to keep your own life, if done with a blade or hands, it becomes a personal experience for both involved, bonding is created, and a level of respect can be formed. This allows for the loser to accept defeat by a stronger opponent. This is the way Syn believes fighting should be done, but he is also aware of the cowardice methods that exist.
• Telekinesis (Artefact Trait): During one of Syn and his friend’s expeditions to recover a few artefacts for the Heaven’s Eye, Syn kept one. A ruby red stone with purple canals or veins stringing throughout it, encased in a small gold locket. This locket hangs around Syn’s neck and amplifies his electromagnetic field to be able to pull and push objects from a distance.

Weaknesses:

• Inept Gunslinger: ]Syn is not very good with the gun, he in fact dismisses them altogether as a method of taking another life. He views them as a cowards device for destruction.
• Inept Tech User: Syn is not current with most of what is being brought out into the world through technological advances. Therefore trying to use it can be quite difficult for him to comprehend. The only tech he is really familiar with is the tech on his ship.
• Dragon’s Bond:

There is a mental and spiritual connection that man experiences when taming their dragon. It is a bond that cannot be expressed through words and most will not relate to what the words are expressing anyways, unless they themselves experienced it. This link so to speak that occurs is what expands into a collective thought box for both the rider and dragon. It enables them to communicate without speaking a language through voice, but instead on a separate channel. The drawback of this is when the rider’s dragon experiences pain, because this same experience will resonate within the rider.

Equipment:

• Revenant Guard Rapier:A sword taken off the corpse of a dead pirate slain by the hands of Syn. The rapier is said to have belonged to a secret organization that had vaulted many artifacts. The organization had guards to keep watch over these vaults, and these guards were of immense magical and physical prowess. The sword was first discovered in a cave by a treasure hunter when hunting for rumored artifacts, stolen by a pirate, and taken by Syn.
  
  - Physical Attributes: The sword is slender in appearance with a guard that umbrellas over the handle at 25%. Where the knuckles would be located if holding the handle, there is an extension from the hood of the umbrella guard that curves out and back in toward the bottom of the handle. The curved guard for the fingers and knuckles has an existing curved blade that follows the contour of the guard providing the option to punch with a blade other than just swing. The guard is black with gold vines and flowers swirling across it. The handle is oak red with a silver band in the center of it that divides two equal lengths to give a sense of position with your hands if using two to wield it. The total length of the sword is 3’10” and about 12” belongs to the handle.
• Heart Locket:The heart locket was discovered by Syn when hunting for artifacts. When he opened the locket, it displayed a stone amplifying one’s ability to manipulate objects from a distance. The interesting part is that when used, the wearer can feel the power of origin pulling or pushing from their heart.

@13900IpForThis The Iron Dominion does have ultimately poor conditions for the working class. However, they're not as bad as allowing paedophilic human traffickers preying on urchins to continue operations. The Iron Dominion's leftist side are more about healthcare, and social mobility - and their radical side is, as always, about destroying the class system entirely. As it happens, things do not have to be dire-dire-dire for socialist causes to arise. The work of Jack Kinz is a fantasy analogue for Karl Marx, only it exists in a setting where the oppression of the working class was not quite as extreme, causing the Kinzian revolution to ultimately be unsuccessful. If it had been successful, there would be neither an Iron Dominion, nor an Oakheart Sovereignty. There would only be the Red League. Notably, living conditions in the Iron Dominion have improved significantly since the Kinzian revolution, in order to avoid it happening again. Either way, your original backstory is way out.

On the topic of religion, it does exist, but primarily in the Oakheart Sovereignty. The Iron Dominion is a bit like Britain in that whilst they're all technically something like 'Church of England' or whatever, they mostly don't actually practice. They subscribe to an industrial ideology instead, putting their stock in progress, and machines. The Red League really isn't very religious, but the former Oakheart serfs tend towards superstition.

@Vinsanity Your images are broken, and I'm afraid I cannot accept this app anyway. I should have been more clear, but nobody is allowed a dragon to begin with. Additionally, you have not read the OP properly. Jane Oakheart never came to rule the Oakheart Sovereignty, the Heavens' Eyes are not called the Heaven Sky, and as far as I recall, I have not allowed people to possess artefacts from the get go. Additionally, the World Court do not hire criminals, or known criminals in any of the Big Three - hence breaking his oath to the Oakheart Dominion would naturally preclude him from working with the World Court, as they're a UN type organisation. Please feel free to reapply.

Appearance: Yellow eyes, brown, short hair and standing at 1,90m, Ekaterine is a very intimidating woman, her muscular, yet curvy body shows the amount of training that it took to turn her body in a weapon. Don't let the fact that she is a woman fool you, she can hold herself best than many soldiers in a fight, be it with her bare hands or with her signature trench knife. You've better don't even try to flirt with her if you're not prepared to deal with her.
Regarding clothes, Kat's usual "uniform" is composed of red pants, military boots, a black top and a small coat over it and a red, military type beret.

Nation of origin: The Red League.

Personality: Ruthless, reckless, efficient and with obvious sociopathic tendencies, Kat is the type of woman you certainly wouldn't want as your enemy. Killing and even torturing are common things to her. Differently from normal soldiers, who do it because its their duty, she kill by choice. She lives for it. The adrenalin, the sensation of your blood boiling in the battlefield, she always loved it. Ekaterine is a very straightforward person. Differently from what her looks make others think, she actually cares about her team. Between people who know her, she is very lively, loving to drink, party, and especially a good sparring match to help get the blood flowing. But on combat, her cruel and ruthless side shows up, prowling inside the enemy lines and killing them one by one with a grin on her face. Almost like a tiger playing with its prey before killing it.

Biography: Ekaterine was born into the military. Quite literally. Born in an age where the tension between the nations is constant and the threat of war is approaching faster and faster, Ekaterine was trained to be a weapon since she was a kid. Silent and lethal. The Red League always were in a very delicate spot regarding technology. Using a mix of Sovereign and Dominion technology, they were always a step behind of both of the other nations regarding technology.
Differently from their leader, some influent people on the Red League thought that they should start preparing to take arms again. These individuals were certain that the war was unavoidable. And there is a better way to win a war than have a knife pointed at your enemy's throat even before the war begins? As such, a special unit was formed, the Infiltrators. Trained tirelessly to be the eyes and ears of the Red League, their function was venturing behind enemy lines, inside the heart of their cities, gather information and steal their secrets without being noted.

As an Infiltrator, Ekaterine was amongst the very first and best infiltrators trained, but was also one of the most problematic. Ignoring orders and ignoring hierarchy, she used her own means to complete her mission. Although it made her superiors want to kill her, her efficiency was undeniable. But for her superiors, the result wasn't the only thing that mattered, and after some time, she was deemed "unfit" for being on the Infiltrators and was expelled from the force. One of her last missions was going into the Iron Dominion and stealing the schematics to their new rifle, that was being presented. Together with a small unit of 5 other infiltrators, Ekaterine successfully got inside the Iron Dominion territory. Their orders were clear: get in and get out without letting even a strand of your hair behind. The existence of their unit was a secret, even to the own Red League, and only a select few knew of it. The mission was a success, and the Red League had the schematics of the Dominion Subsonic Rifle MKI, which was modified by the Red League's scientists to create the Infiltrator Modular Rifle MKII. But to Kat's surprise, instead of being praised by completing her mission, she was expelled, with the excuse of her being too "volatile" and unfit to be in the infiltrator unit.

Ekaterine was furious with that, but she had nothing to do but accept and quietly get out of the infiltrators. But one thing she wouldn't accept: she was one of the responsible for stealing the schematics, at least she demanded to have the fruit of her efforts. Taking a copy of the new and improved schematic, she took to a gunsmith she knew well, someone that she trusted and could keep his mouth shut. Ironically enough, a common gunsmith was the first one to build the Infiltrator Modular Rifle MKII. The rifle that should be a complete secret now was in the hands of a common gunsmith. Unemployed and without anywhere to go, Ekaterine did what she knew best to survive and earn money. She became a Bounty Hunter/mercenary. At first, she worked solo, but during one of her contracts, she met a person, which would later become her partner.

Skills:

• Prowl: Kat is extremely silent and able to move around quickly and easily. Her flexible, strong and trained body coupled with her parkour techniques (fruit of growing up on the Red League's suburbs) make her very hard to be spotted or caught.
• Lethal Precision: Be it either with her trench knife, her throwing knives, her unique rifle or even bare handed, Kat always aims for weak points, quickly and silently killing her target or inflicting as much pain without killing it.
• Guerilla Tactics: Working alone means that Ekaterine has no one to slow her down, but she also has no one to count on if things go bad. Improvising new strategies and plans on the fly is something essential to keep herself alive.
• Predator: Fruit of years of brutal and constant training, her body is in the peak of its physical condition. Fast, agile and lethal, running away from her isn't an option, and even if her prey does, its almost impossible for a normal human to shake her off. If by some chance her target is faster than her, she can easily track her target, changing her course to intercept it or lead him to a dead end.

Weaknesses:

• Bloodthirsty: "No killing" is a word that isn't on Kat's dictionary. If she cant kill, she will at least inflict as much pain as she can without killing her target.
• Specialized Weaponry: Her rifle uses a very special caliber. Using a heavier caliber than normal rifles, both the subsonic and the normal ammo are extremely hard to find outside of the Iron Dominion.
• Talk less, Act more: Ekaterine doesn't have patience for diplomacy and political discussions.

  A rifle that was originally captured from the Iron Dominion, and modified by the Red League. Its design is marked by the efficient and beautiful ironwork that the Iron Dominion is famous for. It uses specially produced ammo, making it a rather expensive rifle to maintain. Differently from its predecessor, the Dominion Subsonic Rifle MKI (which was originally developed by the Iron League), it can use either subsonic or normal ammo. That change was made when the army realized that the scouts and infiltrators needed a more flexible rifle. Capable of either lethal, completely silent shots using subsonic ammo, and powerful, penetrating shots using normal ammo. The gun was designed to use subsonic rounds, that's why it uses a caliber far heavier than normal hunting rifles would. By using normal, non subsonic ammo, the rifle has the same range of a hunting rifle, but the sound it makes is very loud, distinct and the kick makes it almost impossible to shoot it without deploying the folding stand, fixing it on a stable surface.
  
• Custom Trench Knife: Bites hard and deep. Its dented, curved edge makes gruesome wounds, and the sharp spikes on the knuckles... In all senses, its a terrifying knife. You wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of it.
• Throwing Knives: Regular, weighted throwing knives. Nothing fancy.
