@LokiLeo789 Taking a look at your character, I figured I'd pop in and suggest that, since komodo dragons are a type of lizard, it might be worth calling the Devil Fruit Bahamut uses the Toka Toka no Mi, a.k.a. the Lizard-Lizard Fruit, since the Japanese word "tokage" means lizard, though obviously the Komodo Dragon is still the model. Just a thought, is all.
As for whether I intend to join this... I do have a character idea for a Logia user, but I also have a lot of RPs with levels of activity that sometimes take up a lot of focus, so I'm not convinced I could maintain sufficient activity for this one, at least for the time being. I may change my mind later on, or my circumstances may change at a later date. I'll probably keep an eye on this either way.
Hey all, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring with a navigator/marine defector. The highest rank he's achieved is commander, so he's weaker than Smoker was when the straw hats first encountered him in Loguetown. Even though his skill set is extremely versatile, he's actually pretty weak by himself and does best when buffing or otherwise providing support for allies. He'll also be the Usopp of the group in that he'll try to apply his technology to his allies equipment.
Replace the labcoat with a marine's 'Justice' jacket.
Age: 30 Position in Crew: Navigator Personality:
Handel seems friendly but in a 'get under your skin' sort of way. An eavesdropper at heart, he likes to plant baby den den mushi in private locations to hear other peoples' conversations and ends up knowing more information about people than they expect. He is a bit excessive compulsive and can be very particular when it comes to the tidiness of his belongings. He is a deep thinker and surprisingly empathetic. His quest is to bring back a moral and ethical government. He is always wearing a somewhat creepy smile that makes it hard for others to guess his thoughts. Handel hates when a plan doesn't go right. Handel tends to be a bit flirty with people he's close to regardless of gender.
Powers/Abilities:
Handel is an inventor and a spy, who uses sound vibrations and information on his enemies to deadly effect. He knows navigation, and has some medical knowledge (mostly anesthesiology, pain management and psychosomatics) so he can be an assistant doctor but not the main doctor. He is better as a strategist, infiltrator or assassin.
Techniques:
In close range, he uses a unique sword-and-shield fighting style. The back of his bass is steel-plated, he holds the neck of the bass, planting the spike of the bass in the ground with it's back towards the enemy as a massive riot shield. The bow of his fiddle has a blade along its edge which he swings as a short sword. He is also strong enough to lift the bass and swing it around, using the spike at the bottom to impale foes. He has learned how to use vibrations and sound to affect various materials, as long as he tweaks the frequency. Typically, the stiffer and more brittle a material is, the easier it is to damage it with sound. He can imbue his sword/bow with a frequency by running it along the strings of the base and then striking with the sword giving it a property to easily cleave through the specific material it was tuned to. He can also launch out sonic attacks at range, but sound dissipates with distance and is considerably weaker. He often plays on his own turf, scattering Den Den Mushi around to relay sonic attacks and create harmonic/acoustic/cymatic zones where his sonic attacks are much more powerful. Handel knows various ways of using sound to affect the human body. He has the ability to infiltrate Marine ships and bases due to his background and intercept communications with his black Den Den Mushi. Handel requires information on the enemy to be most effective. His most powerful attacks take time or require preparation beforehand. He has limited long range capabilities, and is more defensive than offensive. He is only a decent swordsman at best, and relies more on surprise, advantage, and finesse. He runs the role of 'support mage' for the most part.
Weapons/Items:
String Bass (Shield)
Bass Bow (Sword)
Various other musical instruments
Den Den Mushi Set including several regular ones, a few baby ones, and a black one.
Background:
Handel grew up the son of a rich, military family. He learned to play string instruments when he was young and was set to become a great marine as his inevitable future career. He joined the marines, keeping peace and helping take down weak pirates in the name of peace and justice, eventually working his way up to being commander and second in command of a ship, where he supported his captain with brilliant strategies that prioritized the survival of the crew, making as few sacrifices as possible, and even preventing the loss of life of the enemy, earning his captain a reputation of mercy.
These strategies earned Handel a transfer from normal navy service into the intelligence division, where he became an agent of Cipher Pol 1, CP1. Here he utilized his ability to gather and exploit information in preventative schemes that stopped violence and uprisings before they began. Yet more and more, he was being asked to make difficult choices and to prioritize 'efficiency' and secrecy over the lives of his enemies and the soldiers he was responsible for. He went along with the flow, comforting himself with moral justifications until it became too much for him. He realized he had become a man who no longer saw other humans as people but as numbers in his calculations. He had been numbed to the atrocities he had committed in the name of 'justice'. In the middle of an important government operation, Handel let slip the amount of soldiers that would be sacrificed among the navy as well as spilling information to the enemy, giving them a chance to escape. This saved numerous lives from both sides, but convicted him of high treason. He had prepared for this outcome, and had asked his father in a letter to disown him, and then he slipped away and went into hiding before the marines came to arrest him. His family is safe, having enough money and clout to avoid trouble from the marines. The Marines want him dead, having placed a 5,000,000 Beri bounty on his head. He is currently in hiding from the marines and is plotting some way to change the government but he currently has no solid plans.
Other:
Handel is used to luxury and is a big spender. His musical inventions are also not cheap, so he'll tend to splurge the crews treasure on extravagant shopping sprees.
Hey, my character I wanna play has the powers of a 'cartoon' or Deadpool Regeneration. I've made it very balanced, but technically short of tossing them into the ocean they probably wont stay dead for long. Is that going to be a big problem or not? They have lots of other ways to put them out of comission for a long time. Or if its the regeneration, organ failure wont do much, has to be complete incineration or dropped into the ocean.

Interesting character. I don't see anything wrong with the character. He's accepted. Please put him In the character section. :)@Archmage MC

Mmm. I'm sorry but off the bat I'm going to have to say no. I'm perfectly fine with high speed regeneration, but If a character losses either their brain, heart or both lungs they're dead. I say this because none of our characters should be so powerful that they can only be killed under very specific situations, regardless of there being built in weaknesses to the character. Also, I'm curious about something. Why do you want a character that can't be killed? I mean, with the exception of breaking the rules of the group or deciding you would like your character to die before hand, death of one of the player characters is pretty much guaranteed not to happen. The only reason I could guess for such an ability is to write the character in a humorous way, or one whose constantly suffering which is understandable, but I'm sure there's moral balanced ways to do it. The gum-gum fruit or Buggy's fruits for example.
@jynmi88 Loony Toons or Tom and Jerry slapstick gags.
Ah. That is a toughy. At the moment all I can think of that would sort of allow for that would be a clone-clone fruit, were the character is constantly being killed, destroyed, or maimed, abused but its always just a clone. A running gag could be done were someone freaks out about a particularly gruesome death, injury only to learn it was one of the clones who was killed instead.
@jynmi88 Quick question, do you still wanna use the ship model we used in the last on as well as the flag, if so I can Pm those to you and you can add them to the OP.
I was thinking, would it be alright with you if my character, Handel, was a prisoner on the marine ship that Blake commandeered?
Aye matey. This cap'n accepts anyone with a thirst for adventure, be they strong, weak, or of any color o' te rainbow. Especially if ye have a sense for navigating.
Let me know if how I altered her is too ridiculous or makes no sense, I'm not to sure about it myself to be honest...
Name: Annabelle Pond
Alias: Deadeye
Description: She stands at about 5 feet 4 inches with the same body structure as the character seen above. Her hair however is red instead of pink and her eyes, are an Ice blue color, though still have the same scope look to them.
Age:23
Position in crew: Sharp shooter
Personality:A rather mild mannered person for the most part. She is hard to anger unless the lives of the people she considers friends or family are threatened. She has a tendency to be rather monotone at times, especially when discussing things she has absolutely no interest in, or simply doesn’t like.
Powers/Abilities: -Devil Fruit: The Tage-Tage no Mi (Target-Target fruit). To summarize this fruit allows Anna to have perfect aim, almost never missing a shot. To get into more detail, the fruit gave her the scope like look of her eyes, allowing her better vision than most (or rather she is able to "zoom in" on an object from about 5 miles away) and also allowing her to quickly analyze the best shot possible. Being able to take in the curvature of the earth, wind direction, object speed, and many other variable, analyze them, and act upon said analysis in a matter of seconds. She is still developing this skill however and isn’t the best at it. She will get better as her character develops.
She is not very strong in hand-to-hand preferring long range fights where she know she had the upper hand.
Techniques: Um, calculate and shoot?
Inventory: Mask,Pistols and, Dagger As well as a well stock supply of ammo at all times. (to the best of her ability)
Background: Annabelle was abandoned as a young child by her parents. She has no clue why but she could assume one of two things, either they couldn’t take care of her, or she got in the way of whatever it was that they were doing. She was left on the doorstep of a old Marine captain. As she grew up she slowly began to lose the image of her parents that she had in her head and instead began to invent fantasies about them. Her favorite was that they were pirates and they had left her behind so that they could sail the ocean in search of treasure.
As she grew up she was trained in self defense and how to shot. She had a natural talent for shooting and was quickly able to out shoot many of the men on her adoptive father’s ship. By the age of 16, when the man who raised her finally retied she was one of the best shots anyone had seen. Everyone was convinced she would become a Marine when she became an adult. So nobody expected her to go missing after she turned 18.
She had taken very few things with her. Only a pistol, some ammo, some clothes, and a mask she had purchased at a festival. She had left and began going by the name Dead Eye as a hired gun. It was during this time that while on a job, she stole a devil fruit from one of her targets with the intention of selling it. However, after being put in a sticky situation by a client and being forced to hide/eat the fruit, or give it up she chose to eat it, unaware of what it would do to her but pleasantly surprised that she had picked one they complimented her current skill set. She stayed in that business until she decided to join a pirate crew as their sharp shooter. She still uses the name Dead Eye, but the crew knows her full name as well.
Other: Her Devil Fruit abilities make her extremely fast when solving math problems of any caliber. Useless? Yes. Fun to use just cuz? Definitely She can hit shots with any projectile, be it a rock, a knife, or any type of firing weapon, canon, bow, or gun.

Question: What does Anna's personal arsenal look like? Is it just flint lock pistols again, or?.... Anna is good to go. (Although, I'm not sure about the devil fruit. It's not over powered or anything. It's just that I could see a none devil fruit user having the same abilities. The only thing would be special goggles that could magnify images but that could be explained as a gift from the marines or maybe something she picked up along the way.)
@jynmi88 Hm, I dunno, that doesn't sound too fun to write for. Needing to write for two positions at once and whatnot.
Hmmm. Well writing both clones at a time wouldn't be necessary since there'd be moments were only one was acting, but I can see how following two or more of the same characters might get old(even if you could keep track of them with numbers.)........
Oh! What about a balloon-balloon type fruit? The user's body would be like that of a balloon animal (segmented, and made out of rubber.) The various non-vital parts could be detached for different kinds of attacks, and if one of the sections was destroyed then the user would be able to regenerate by either waiting a bit or swallowing a stick of gum to repair to build the lost section (similar to Brooke with Milk) and then filling the area up with air, either through something similar to osmosis or blowing directly into the thumb like Luffy with gear three and four. Although, after thinking about this fruit for awhile it won't be as quick at regenerating because there are A LOT of applications like -techniques similar to Luffy's gear third and fourth -manipulating density by allowing different types of gas in and out: which would also allow for a variety of different kinds of bombs -Flight, thanks to density manipulation -Air propulsion -Air cannons, -Loading sections with so much air they explode -controlling separated sections (Note: the player characters are still rookies and so everything wouldn't be available off the table) The character would be weak against piercing and cutting attacks, which would allow for some comedic moments, but would be slightly better at absorbing blunt attacks. Also, the user would be able to avoid being popped by everyday objects like nails and knives if they tense up (like when you ready your stomach for a punch.)
As for the devil fruit, not all of them are that useful and cool it says in any description that they range from absolutely ridiculous to overpowered. Though it does allow her to hit her shots with anything, no matter error prior experience with it. Say she has never touched a bow in her life but knows the basic mechanics of it she would still be able to shoot it like a pro. I know it kinda sounds dumb but hey there you go.
I will edit in her inventory though it will likely be the same as before.
@jynmi88 No. Flight is the killer here, as nothing would stop them from just flying to Raftil. (A huge plothole of One Piece TBH.)
Neat idea and all, but I find that way more broken than just straight deadpool regeneration tbh. I prefer defensive abilities, as I can break almost any offensive based one very fast I feel like. And thats no fun for anyone.
