Antoinette listened to the banter going around the room but she remained, watching the Avengers with a quiet reverence. They each had their strengths, the X-Men and the Avengers and it was always an interesting time when they came together to fight the odds. Antoinette watched Guin bring up the security cameras and saw Loki near the Statue of Liberty just like Mary’s suggestion.
Runa spoke up of Loki’s prowess and how much of a challenge he could potentially be and the danger associated with going up against him. Ed spoke up and Antoinette had to agree with him. ”This is our fight just as much as it would be yours.” Antoinette wasn’t disagreeing that it wouldn't be challenging and hard but that never stopped them from fighting before.

"What does that have to do with..." Iris began to ask Lance, looking for a clearer answer, but she trailed off when the conversation skimmed past the comment without really answering the questions it brought into her head. She lightly pulled her arm off her friend's shoulders, instead letting it hang at her side as she tried her best to follow along with the quick-paced quipping and planning that was thrown between the heroes. She was thankful to see Guin's hysteric laughing was the only major reaction to her comment. She wasn't sure if Scarlet Witch didn't hear or simply didn't care, but the lack of any sort of anger from her was enough to convince Iris she was in the clear. Her attention eventually turned to Runa when she warned the X-Men against going with her and the Asgardians to fight against Loki.

"Psh, I already have date nights with Chaos and Tragedy scheduled every Saturday night. We're practically a throuple by now!" she chimed in with a grin. She was quiet for a few seconds, before a lightbulb seemed to go off in her head, the realization that she didn't exactly explain her position only just then coming to her mind. "Oh, you're probably not fluent in Iris-ese yet. What I'm saying is that I'm down to boogie with the big bad mischief man too."

"Pietro he is not a toaster so stop calling him that."

"What? He's a robot thing or whatever and the closest thing my brain can come up with is a toaster, besides, it wouldn't be any fun if I couldn't mess with you by calling him a toaster."

"Really Penguin? You could have just asked instead of breaking into my computer, or you know, used your own login or something," Tony said to Guin with a bit of an eye roll.

Wow Guina, I find this whole thing somewhat amusing. Pietro said to Guin, clearly trying not to laugh at Tony's response to Guin getting into the computer system.

"Well, good to know that Loki hasn't apparently changed, so that makes it easier to find him. Unless he wants to be found, which wouldn't be all too surprising either from what I can gather." Mary commented in regards to Guin's confirmation as to where Loki seemed to be.

"Let's be honest, Loki is kind of a creature of habit, don't think that is ever going to change."

"Who are you to think you can tell us whether or not we can actually go and try to fight Loki?" Mary couldn't help but comment, raising a bit of an eyebrow. "You do realize this kind of isn't just an Asgardian problem at this point right? We're not just going to sit back and watch the three of you who sound like you think you can deal with Loki's tricks on your own..."

"Not to mention last I checked you and I lost against these people here in a fight, remember? We kind of lost, you got knocked out and I lost an eye. I'm all for letting everyone else tag along, not what else to really say about it. They probably will be fine," Klara commented walking over to her cousin and giving her a slight smile, "Besides, the more people fighting the better if you ask me, more people who could potentially see through Loki's tricks."

"I think most people are in agreement that we're going to help with Loki whether you want us to or not Runa..." Lance said to her, with a slight shrug, figuring now was probably not the time to argue about this. Obviously they weren't going to sit this one out, though from what he knew about Asgardians they tended to think that anyone on Earth was weak in comparison to what they were capable of. That wasn't always the case, that was for sure.

"Yeah, no way am I letting Pointbreak here have all of the fun when it comes to punching out Loki's clock, still have a grudge against the guy and all of that fun stuff."

"Are all Asgardians somewhat stuck up about what they are capable of?" Wanda asked.

"Noooooooo idea, only one I've met until now is Thor so... Yeah not much to be based off of anything."

"Well looks like we're all going to have some fun with this, hooray!" Klara said gleefully. Unlike her cousin, she was perfectly fine with the idea of bringing other people along with her on an adventure, she thought it would be a whole lot of fun if they went along. Plus she really wanted to knock her uncle around a bit, and in her opinion the more the merrier with that one.

"And not to mention that I was trapped in that jungle with you two because of him and could have potentially died in there to." Carolina said, she was a little bit more than annoyed having been trapped inside of the game completely at the mercy of Loki's twisted version of the game. Carolina gave Neil and Annie a smile she really did want to kick Loki's ass around some as well to, she wasnt sure why Runa thought that they werent able to handle Loki.

And last time that Loki was here he kind of lost to the Avengers as well to, she leaned back slightly. "We should probably go now anyway, who knows what he actually had planned in the first place anyway." Carolina suggested, maybe it was some kind of distraction for something bigger. Or he just genuinely just wanted to mess with all of them for no reason at all, looking over at the others.

"And last time Loki showed it he kind of brought an army down here and lost, so he kind of lost to, so i'm pretty sure we can all kick his ass." Bethany pointed out, as she stretched slightly looking at Pietro and Wanda as he teased her about her love life with Vision, though she was still curious how that was possible to. "So, whats the plan anyway i'm pretty sure that there are a lot of tourists on the island as well to." Bethany said looking over at the others, they would probably end up having to protect them and get them off of the island as well to so they wouldnt get hurt during the fighting with Loki.

She was a little more than eager to get going now as well and wanted to take the fight to Loki as well to. "Also how are we gonna get there, someone going to teleport us all there or are we going in the jet?" Beth asked, she didnt mind either way though teleporting would be quicker most likely as well to then just flying over there.

Antoinette smiled and winked at Caroline when she looked her way. Antoinette was ready for the fight as well and was hoping to take Loki down for all he had done to her friends and family. It seemed everyone agreed with that notion and were planning of how they were going to get to the island. Getting there wasn’t much of a concern to Antoinette as getting the locals to safety was. They could easily take the jet there or they had several magic users that could probably help them.
”Hopefully we can make some sort of distraction to get the civilians away,” Antoinette said. Loki tended to use the locals though but hopefully they could make it in time before that occurred. If it had been later in the day, Antoinette would have suggested creating a fireworks show but there wouldn’t be much of a display with it being daylight out.

It was nice to hear all the other X-men argue with Rana that they were definitely going to be involved. None of them were going to let Loki get away with what he had done to them as a group and each individual was pissed with the Asgardian. What Ed knew about Loki it seemed pretty on point.

Ed wanted to make sure any civilians that were on the Island got to safety. "I'll work on getting civilians to safety." He offered. "I've got the shield spell so I can cover their retreat." He wasn't an idiot he didn't really have a damaging spell.

Ed had learned through the course of dealing with Jumanji that he could manipulate his shields to make them dangerous. He already had an idea and he didn't like that he had thought of it. That was against his family's oath. It was better for him to be doing protection rather than getting physically involved in the fight, as much as he wanted to kick Loki's ass. This way the others could focus on dealing with Loki and he knew he was doing good. Though he did figure he doubted he could actually kill Loki, he was literally a god.

Runa wasn't offended in the slightest by Edus' insistence on going to face Loki, nor did the other X-Men reacting similarly bother her. She had stated her case for why it was best for Loki to face Asgardians and not mortals - she had more or less warned them should any ill fall to them due to the upcoming battle. Beyond that, each warrior could make their own choice as to where they go. She had done her moral duty. "Very well then. I will not press the issue further, X-Men," she said. She felt incredibly calm - calmer than she had in decades. She didn't care to raise the point that while she and Klara had been defeated, many of the X-Men had nearly died in the process.

The loud mouthed one confused her especially. "....Throuple...." Runa murmured, tasting the word and trying to figure out what it meant. It sounded like something Klara would know all about.

Neil was rather silent, realizing that no one who was talking really had a plan. Everyone seemed to be easily sidetracked with their new favorite hobby - verbally abusing the Asgardian girl. Yes, he thought it had been a bit of a stupid thing she said, but with the way everyone was piling on about it he couldn't help but feel a bit bad. There were too many people around though for Neil to voice that opinion though. No one seemed even to be bothering with moving to the next location to fight Loki. It felt a lot like a group of friends in the lobby of a hotel bickering and being late to the movie they wanted to see because of it.

"I've got a bad feeling about this," he murmured to Carolina, softly enough that only she could hear. "There's no plan and no one seems to care about leaving," he then added. He would have expected that someone would've been like okay, we're going to take the Blackbird or you know, we can walk, it's a lovely day outside. There was no plan either on how exactly they were going to face Loki and going in blind was a horrible choice. Even in Dungeons and Dragons, the party knew they needed to have some sort of plan when they faced the big bad.

"Yeah, I could have, but it's way funnier to use yours," Guin informed her father with a smirk. "Might I recommend changing your password every now and then?" she teased. She always loved when she could find something wrong with one of Tony's systems, even if it was as simple as a password she managed to crack. Most of the fun she got out of it was purely from seeing how her father would react - seeing the expression on his face as she used his secure password to access all of the systems. She ignored the pile on fest with the Asgardian girl, since it really wasn't too much of an issue. She found Beth's points to be much more interesting and worth discussing.

"If we fly on over, we'd want to go in stealth mode - although he probably figures the Avengers are coming, if not us too," Guin mused. "I think teleporting would be better. The Avengers confront him, the X-Men then do a sneak attack, and for the civilians... Dad's Iron Legion can evacuate some of them, but I think Piet and Beth would be the fastest combo to get everyone out of there. Piet can run groups to safety, Beth can teleport them. Edus can shield groups to buy Piet and Beth more time. And once they're done with that, they can rejoin the fight."

"That makes the most sense, though we still have to be careful. Since I guarantee he's probably going to be expecting us to show up, and if I had to guess, probably expecting us to show up with some extra help. Guin, your idea makes the most sense, so we'll work with that and go from there. Just be prepared to adapt to whatever happens, since odds are that Loki is going to start playing some more tricks or something like," Mary said, nodding her head towards Guin when she made her comments about a potential plan. "We get going, and hopefully don't get killed by the Trickster god."

"Eh he's tried, never succeeds, got to give him an A for effort at the least," Tony said with a slight eye roll, "Alright then, let's get going and maybe beat the crap out of Loki, again for some of us at least."

So the group was off. To go deal with Loki and hopefully not cause too much chaos or mayhem, especially given the sort of public venue that this fight was going to be taking place in. At least this time it was in Manhattan and was in an area that was more or less contained from outside interference. Sure, there typically were tourists on the island that could be led to safety (hopefully anyway) they didn't have to worry about nearly as many civilians as they would if they were having to deal with him in the city proper.

They didn't seem to run into any trouble while flying, but there did seem to be quite a few people visiting the island, so that was likely going to cause some problems when it came to the likely odds of them having to fight Loki. Hopefully they wouldn't have too much to worry about, but that was definitely something to take note of. They would have been better off with less people, but they had to manage with what they had, and unfortunately that meant that this all happened on a day when a lot of people wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty.

With the jet cloaked and once they landed, one thing was obvious, Loki didn't seem to be anywhere in sight, at least at the moment, which meant that they likely were going to have to go out and look for him at least somewhat. In order to enact any sort of plan at this point, they'd need to find Loki first, which meant that they probably would have to split up somewhat in order to find him.

Mary went to look at the group (the four Avengers members had said something about trying to find Loki and then headed off). "Like what they did, we're going to split up and try to find Loki, form small groups and head out, since we need to find him rather quickly, so hopefully we can find him and get people out of here. Actually, Bethany and Pietro you two start getting people out of here, if you two start with that early, we might be able to get a good chunk of the civilians off of this island before the actual fighting begins, okay? Ed, your shields will come in handy for once the fighting actually starts and if there are still people on the island, which based on how many you could see from the air, there likely are going to be a lot. still, so just keep that in mind that we likely will need them in a little while."

"Sure thing this will be soooooo much fuuuuuuuuun," Pietro responded with an eye roll. I know it's important, but this has what my life has become, turning into a glorified taxi service. he added mentally to Guin.

Iris was oddly chipper as the group touched down on Liberty Island to face the God of Mischief. The place had been on her list of sights to see during her time in New York. Despite disliking the city, she felt compelled to explore it, for the new experiences if nothing else. She'd even once attempted to borrow the Blackbird to fly out there, only for her attempts to be foiled by her utter lack of knowledge of how the high-tech plane worked. So as they got out of the aircraft, she had a skip in her step, more reminiscent of a tourist than a warrior.

"Does it feel weird to anyone else? Us having a plan, I mean? It's like...wearing shoes while walking on grass," she pondered aloud, her eyes immediately gazing up at the massive statue that was the island's main attraction. She listened to the extended plan, though, even if it looked like her attention was elsewhere, a fact made evident when she took a large step towards Mira at the mention of teams. She hoped that prodding the girl with this little nonverbal olive branch would help her figure out whether she was still mad at Iris. Without saying anything to Mira, Iris turned her gaze down to Mary and spoke up.

"Hey, so, I knooooow I said fire was never the answer, but..." she began, her hand fishing into her pocket to grab something. She brought out a lighter, which she flicked open, causing the small flame to dance in place. "If we start a little fire, we'll be able to start evacuating people faster without raising suspicion. A little arson goes a long way. Plus, we're surrounded by a big old ocean, so if it gets out of control, our lovely love goddess will be able to put it out no problem!"

Carolina looked over at Neil for a moment as he whispered to her for a moment, they didnt really have a plan at the moment until Guin suggested one and nodded slightly. "We'll figure something out, dont worry." Carolina whispered back towards Neil and smiled towards him gently resting a hand on his shoulder before following everyone else over onto the Blackbird taking a seat closer towards the back and stretched out slightly as the flight didnt take to long at all either which was a good thing as well to. She looked at Annie and Neil and smiled towards them until they were on Liberty Island now.

She looked around at the large group of people as she turned to look over at the base of the massive statue and then gestured over towards there while looking at everyone else. "I think he should be around the base of the statue." Carolina told everyone else as she started to walk over towards where she thought would be where Loki was.

Bethany looked towards Guin and nodded towards her while looking at Pietro for a moment as well. "Looks like i'm with you Silver Taxi." Bethany said jokingly, since he was the one complaining about it as well. She followed everyone else towards the Blackbird getting onto a seat as they started to take off. It didnt take to long at all really to get to Liberty Island at all and got off with the others, Carolina seemed to have possibly found where he might be on the island.

Bethany found the closest group of people and closed her eyes as she extended her arms out and started to grab a group of four people and started to shadow travel the people off of the island and dumping them back onto the mainland. She looked over towards Pietro for a moment and smirked slightly. "Want to see who can get the most people off of the island?" She asked him.

They made the trip to Liberty Island quickly and Antoinette stepped off the plane, following Carolina. The place was rather packed with tourists and she was worried if they would be able to get everyone off the island in time. Iris had a suggestion of how to get everyone off the island quickly but Antoinette wasn’t so sure about it. ”A fire could cause a panic, which could make the situation more chaotic and dangerous. And it would alert Loki of our presence. If he doesn’t already know,” she noted.
As she thought of Loki, Carolina mentioned the possibility of Loki being located at the base of the statue. Her blue eye grew brighter but Antoinette couldn’t tell if Loki knew of their presence. It was possible but he might not either. She sighed and looked at Carolina as her eye went back to normal.
”I’ll come with you.” Carolina had intuition too and that made Antoinette trust her assessment of the situation. If they could locate him quickly, maybe they would get lucky in ending this quickly.

Am I your favorite customer then? Guin asked with a slight smirk, amused by her husband's analogy of being a taxi service. There was one downside though to Pietro being on ferrying duty - it meant Guin was going to have to find someone else to partner up with. She had gotten so used to fighting side by side with him that it felt a little weird to think of someone else to work with, especially since there were already several natural groups formed. She considered briefly working with Iris, but maybe that wasn't the best call, as Guin could already be reckless enough on her own.

"Maybe let's not terrorize the people with fire - we don't need a repeat of Stanley in the Office with Dwight's fire drill," Guin recommended. It did, however, lead to one of her favorite episodes - where Dwight cut the face off of the CPR dummy and freaked out the instructor. She couldn't help but be a little miffed that the Office wasn't on Netflix anymore. It wasn't like she couldn't afford multiple streaming services, it was more of a principle thing. "Yo, Mare, wanna be buddies on this one?" Guin asked, flipping her suit's helmet down. She figured Lance would go with the Asgardians, and Carolina and Annie were partnering up as well.

Neil didn't really need to think about who he wanted to partner up with on this one. He was already standing next to Annie and Carolina, more or less forming a group of three with them. The thought of going after Loki did send a chill down his spine, especially since there were still so many civilians around and he didn't know how long it would take Bethany and Quicksilver to evacuate them all. Loki had so much magic on his side, he had been able to force the Asgardians to fight them, he couldn't help but feel afraid that Loki might do something even more malicious. He didn't want a repeat of Mesmero, where he had been forced to fight and injure his friends. "I'm in," he said to his friends.

They needed someone with some combat skills anyways. Carolina was really good when it came to astral stuff and Annie had some odd intuition thing going on, but neither of them could really fight. Annie had fireworks she could summon from her hands now, but Neil hadn't seen her really use them effectively yet. If Loki attacked them when they went looking, Neil was going to have to use his telekinesis to defend them, and he was comfortable with that. He'd die for his friends if they had to.

Runa glanced at Lance and blushed ever so slightly. "Lance, would you care to accompany me?" she asked him softly. She knew that if she didn't ask Lance, Klara would end up orchestrating events so they'd be paired together anyways. There was little use in fighting it.

Ed was glad that Guin used his real name. Genuinely surprised by it actually. Had she decided to not hate him for whatever reason she had hated him? Ed guessed that if she had decided that it was because of how he had saved Pietro. He realized quickly the whole group was paired up. There was no one left for him to 'pair' up with. If Beth had joined them it would have been her, and since Annie had decided to go off with Carolina it couldn't be her. Guin was pairing with Mary. Iris was considering suicide by pairing with Mira...He considered joining them just so if Mira decided to go for the killing blow he could put a shield between the two of them.

His task was to protect people that they couldn't get off the island in time. So if he went wandering off with Iris and Mira he might get caught in their drama and not be able to save an innocent person. He was torn. Would the two get into a fight or would they be able to focus on the fight they had at hand? Considering how much fighting they had had when they had been playing the game he worried they wouldn't be able to focus. He decided.

Ed would keep an eye on them and if they started fighting each other he'd bubble shield both of them, but he had to prioritize getting people to safety. He looked up to the top of the statue. After 9/11 the top had been closed off to tourists, but someone might still be up there. If it wasn't so dang tall it'd be a great place for a grandiose gesture of narcissism. However, no one would be likely to see or hear Loki if he were up there. People really didn't think about how big the statue of liberty was unless they had seen it, or the fact that it wasn't super close to the city and didn't face the city. It faced out to sea.

Ed looked away from the Statue and started scanning the crowds. Getting a feel for how many people they had to deal with. His fingers slipped into his pocket and touched the small shield he kept there.

"Uh, Iris fire doesn't work well. I get it might get people out faster, but if one spark strays out of control then it could potentially trap a lot of people.= and since there are so many people here, we don't want to risk accidentally hurting anyone," Mary said to her, not adding onto the fact that she personally didn't want to be anywhere near a fire that might potentially get out of control. Nope she wanted nothing to do with fire if she couldn't help it. Especially since she didn't want to potentially lose control again...

She snapped to attention though when Guin asked if she wanted to partner up and she nodded her head slightly, "Yeah sure, been a while since we've paired up, let's do it," she responded, giving her a smile. "Remember, if anyone finds him, don't engage and try to alert everyone else as to where your location is. And Iris, Mira... Can you two get along for a few minutes and not try to kill each other? It would make things easier... With those last words, she headed off of the jet and motioned for Guin to follow her. "we'll go around the other side to try and get a look see if we can find him," she added as she started heading towards the right side of the base itself. Carolina's group seemed to be heading straight for it, so it made sense to check somewhere else.

"If Iris learns how to keep quiet for more then a few seconds at a time there shouldn't be a problem," Mira muttered in response, before she stepped off the jet and glanced at the directions people were heading off. "If we head off that way," she said, pointing more off to the left away from the direction the others were heading, "We'd be some place else... So let's hope that this works out in the end. Keep your eyes open and hope that you see Loki before he sees you," she commented to Iris, before she glanced at Ed, since he seemed to be the only one who wasn't in a group. "You can come with us too if you want to," she added, walking off in the direction that she had indicated.

"Uh, sure Runa..." Lance responded to her, not entirely too sure what to say with regards to it. He was fine with pairing up with Runa, and the other people he would have been fine pairing up with had already gone and paired up with other people. Hopefully they'd be able to deal with Loki rather quickly, since who knew what Loki could potentially do if he was still out and about. Since he probably would do something else if they didn't manage to stop him and potentially hurt a lot of people.

Klara giggled slightly seeing Runa and Lance together, before she got a bit more serious. "I'm going to see about doing a little bit of surfing around the island. I'll let you all know if I see something, see ya in a little while," she said before there was a slight flash of pink light and she was gone, but there was glitter on the ground where she had been moments before.

"Does she always do stuff like that?" he asked Runa, figuring she knew more about her cousin then he did. "Or is she just a giggly sort of person since she kind of has been doing that sort of thing non-stop..." he continued, not too sure what to really think within regards to it. Since for as long as he's known her, when Klara wasn't trying to kill them of course, she had more or less been nothing but giggles and explosions of pink glitter. "Anyway, what direction do you think we should head in?"

Yes by a mile, Pietro responded mentally to Guin, his attention being pulled away by Bethany as she started teleporting people away from the island and he smirked slightly. "You are on with that competition, just don't call me a taxi service unless you want to find yourself in a not so nice place to be in within seconds," he said to her, before he took off in a whirlwind, a group of people in front of where the jet was started diminishing before the entire group of 10 people were gone. "Hurry up we've got a whole lot more people to deal with, I doubt we'll be able to get everyone off of the island, but we can damn sure try," he said to Bethany when he stopped by her, before taking off in a large gust of wind again.

Carolina looked towards Neil and smiled towards him, glad that he had joined her and Annie not like she didnt enjoy having her best friend with her, neither of them didnt have any really good fighting skills. "Thanks for joining us." Carolina said giving Neil a slight smile as she continued to look around for some sign of Loki. There was a lot of people on the island and she just hoped that they would be able to spot Loki somewhere and soon.

"So, I was thinking maybe after all of this the three of us could go and see a movie or something my treat?" Carolina asked looking between Neil and Annie. She wanted to make a little bit of small conversation while they looked for Loki, and Carolina thought that it would be a fun little idea to do as well to and she had been wanting to get out of the mansion for a few hours as well to. Carolina approached the base of the statue and looked around for a moment. "Think that he could be inside or something?" Carolina asked.

"I'll take good care of him Guin don't worry." Bethany said jokingly, she as she started to run over towards another group of people and closed her eyes and extended her hands outward. Her shadows covering a group of five people and then sent the group of tourists back to the main land. Bethany took a step back as she watched the others leaving and grouping up with other people as well, though one pair was really dangerous she thought Iris and Mira pairing up.

"I wont call you Silver Taxi then." Bethany said shaking her head slightly as she went over towards another group of people and then managed to shadow travel another four away. "So what does the winner get then?" Bethany called out to Pietro before he disappeared in a gust of wind picking up another group of people off of the island.

"But...ocean...and waterweaving love goddess," Iris stuttered, making an exaggerated pouty face as she reiterated the contingency plan for if the fire got out of hand. But as she looked at Mary, the woman's phobia, all too understandable to Iris, came back to her memory, and she let out a sigh, flipping her lighter closed. "Fine...but it would've worked," she mumbled, a bit disappointed that her second ever idea was rejected (her first ever idea being a granola bar wrapped in bacon, which had been brought on by a particularly strong high). Her overdone pouting was quickly replaced with a smug grin as Mary paired her with Mira.

"Kill each other? I'll have you know I have nothing but affection for this little grunchbug. It's her who wants to pull a Tell-Tale Heart and shove my corpse under the floorboards," Iris pointed out, innocently putting a shocked hand over her chest. She watched as the others began marching away, leaving her, Mira, and Ed. When Mira offered for Ed to tag along, Iris combed her hand through her hair, grinning at the proposition. "Oh, yeah! We could be the Mira of IrisEd...wait, am I not allowed to make Harry Potter references anymore? The internet told me JK Rowling is bad now. Doesn't matter right now, come on!" She exclaimed as Mira began running away, giving Ed's arm a tug to follow as she walked after Mira.

"Hey Mir, how about you and me play a little game? I give you full permission to mute me for however long you want whenever you want, buuuuuut for every second you do, I get to spend a second trying to squeeze that negative energy out of you with the power of hugs whenever I want," Iris suggested as they investigated, her eyes scanning the crowd as she spoke. After she was finished, she thought she caught glimpse of someone Loki-like, but he quickly disappeared back into the ground. Still, she nodded in the direction the person disappeared to, saying, "I think I might've seen him go that way."

Antoinette looked around for signs of Loki as they walked towards the statue. The closer they got, the bigger the statue became. She tilted her head back staring up at the remarkable thing but had to stop to keep her neck from hurting. Antoinette grinned at Carolina and Neil. ”That would be great Lina!” Hopefully she wouldn’t be in the way if she tagged along. Neil had always seemed closer to Carolina but her and Neil were starting to get close thanks to D & D.
They reached the statue and Antoinette looked at the door. ”He might be… It would be a good place to have everything set up.” Antoinette decided to open the door, finding that it opened simply and she stepped inside, looking around for signs of Loki or anything out of place. Nothing seemed unusual to her but she looked back at the others to see if they were seeing something that she may have missed.

Guin shrugged slightly, not really minding that Mary had picked the spot for them to go search. It was a little bit nerve wracking, looking around for Loki - it was like blindly stumbling about, trying to trigger a fight with a boss, never knowing when the cut scene would start and the villain's monologue would begin. She smirked ever so slightly at Pietro's mental response, before turning her attention to her surroundings. Once they had made their way around, she used her suit's tech to start hacking into nearby cameras to try to speed up their search for the god of mischief.

"Got something, boss," F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced.

Her suit then displayed an image from one of the cameras in particular - it looked like Loki. He was somewhere over on the right side of the island with them, unless he had sent a bunch of illusions all over the place to throw them off. "Mare, think he's nearby - that or it's just a glorified hologram," Guin said, elbowing her friend lightly. "Want me to send out a mental pulse to everyone?" she then offered. It was one of the few things telepaths were good for - a rapid alert system.

Neil loved movies. They were in dark rooms where people couldn't stare at him and judge. It was also socially unacceptable for people to talk over the movie, walk in front of the screen, pause it, or any other number of annoying things people tended to do when they watched movies at the X-Mansion. "I'd love to see a movie," Neil couldn't help but admit. "We could see Jungle Cruise?" he suggested. He was super curious about that movie, mostly since it was heavily tied to a Disney theme park ride. The only other movie he could think of that was out in theaters was another minion thing, so there was no way he wanted to see that.

He walked inside the building after Annie and Carolina, peering around. He didn't really see Loki anywhere, and he let out a slight sigh of relief. He didn't want to be in the group that found Loki first. He'd much rather just have to run off towards the fight and get to join in once the heavy hitters had already gone. The Avengers and the Asgardians were the heavy hitters in his mind - the X-Men were okay, they had gotten lucky with the board game, he didn't want to test their luck again.

Still, they had barely even scratched the surface here - he could be somewhere further inside of the Statue of Liberty.

Runa turned bright red, seeing her cousin vanish, leaving glitter on the ground. "Erm, yes - Klara's... Klara. She's the goddess of love - well one of them, my father is actually the god of love for instance - so it goes with the territory," Runa explained. "She, erm, likely believes that... That you should court me." Runa turned away from Lance, trying to stop her heart from pounding so furiously that it felt like it was about to escape from her chest. The mortals had already picked three directions - left, forward, and right. There was really only one way left in Runa's opinion and she looked up. "How are you with heights?"

The young Asgardian shot herself up into the air with darkness, skyrocketing up higher and higher until she landed delicately on the torch. Her anxiety diminished slightly as there weren't any crowds up here. She peered down for a moment, curious to see if Lance would be able to use his powers to follow her - or if she would need to fetch him. She didn't stare down very long though, as she turned and saw that Loki was up there on the torch with her. "You're too weak to fight us, Uncle," Runa lied.

Ed let out a small sigh of relief when Mira offered for him to officially join her and Iris. He nodded. "I'll happily join you two." He let himself be tugged along. He frowned a bit at the joke that Iris made not getting it. Though he did know about Harry Potter and Jk Rowling he had never read the series.

He was scanning where Iris pointed though. His hand still touching the shield in his pocket ready to do what he could to protect people. That's what he believed in and trusted his ability to do just that. His mind was racing over possibilities. How much could he adjust his shield to do what was necessary? He had proven it could become a flat board to walk on out of the quicksand. He had even made the shield a soft landing for Iris when she fell.

His eyes darted as he looked around trying to figure out what was going on. Where was Loki? What dramatic tricks did he have planned?

"Not right away, since if it's an illusion nothing we really do will work. In order to really get rid of them we'd have to knock out the real Loki. So unless we are positive that it is actually him, we should wait, since there is the chance that it isn't really him..." Mary responded to Guin as she glanced around, trying to see if she could spot Loki amongst the crowd. It took her more then a few minutes, but she did spot him eventually, somewhat closer to the base of the statue itself. "Ok, I think I can see him from here... Problem is we don't know if it is him or not from this distance..."

A second later, Guin's suit started going haywire. It was sparking dramatically, as everything went into overdrive. The manual controls were shut off and there was no override option. The limbs of her armor started to move oddly, her legs moving at such a harsh and unusual angle that it didn't take a doctor to know how bad the resulting breaks must have been. A hand was over Mary's mouth, and a dagger was in her back. "Naughty children," Loki whispered in Mary's ear. "You should've known better."

The pain that shot through her back was not exactly something her mind could easily deal with, but one thing was for sure, now they at least definitely knew that Loki was on their side of the island. Lot of good that was going to do for them if they couldn't let the others know. The ground began to shake as her eyes started shifting colors, but vines shot up and managed to get her away from Loki and she stumbled away slightly, but despite the blood coming from her injuries, she was still standing. "Guin, now would be the time to send that message to the others," she managed to cough out, blood was coming from her mouth but she straightened up fully and turned to look directly at Loki. Her eyes having shifted completely. "Ouch, now that hurt. You may have hurt me but I am not done for the count, far far from it," she spat out at him as vines started shooting up from the ground covered with thorns and they were right by her, "This is going to be fun."

Mira turned and glared directly at Iris, "How about you learn how to take things seriously since you don't seem to be able to see just how bad things are. You do realize we could honestly end up dead really quickly. You seem to be all happy in your high as a kite world, but on Earth people could easily end up dead especially when a literal Norse God is causing mayhem. The fact that you don't ever seem to get that says a lot about you and makes me wonder why the hell you even stick around! Since you need to learn that there is a time for being serious, and a time for fun and not being so, you are an idiot because you can't get that through your thick skull. So how about unless you have something useful to say, shut the hell up."

She was just done with Iris' idiocy, and in reality she did not want to trust a word that came out of her mouth, since for all she knew, she could think that just about anyone looked like Loki. Not too long ago she hadn't even known that Thor was actually referring to the actual Norse god and not just someone who took that name. Yeah Iris definitely was more then a bit of an idiot to her. However, since now was not the time to really be petty, she headed off in the direction of the supposed Loki sighting, and eventually, she got close enough and the crowd thinned out enough that it did seem to actually be Loki there. So maybe Iris wasn't just seeing things.

In the crowd where they had seen Loki, there was instead... a Jack in the Box toy??? It was styled after Captain America, probably marketed for little kids. Its song began merrily at first: When Captain America throws his mighty shield... But it soon shifted into something sinister: He'll be doomed to bury his loved ones in a pauper's field! The Jack in the Box then sprung open, and exploded, sending the entire group and any civilians in the area flying

Carolina eventually would be able to see someone who definitely looked to be Loki within the building, the other two wouldn't see him right off the bat though, but after a few moments all three of them would be able to see him among the crowd there. Loki turned and waved at them, before tossing three little glowing orbs at them. The orbs hit the ground and rolled, coming to a stop at the trio's feet, before they started dispensing a strange green fume. It was the Asgardian equivalent of laughing gas.

"No idea, I honestly don't know what sort of prize would really be worth it or something," Pietro responded to Bethany with a bit of a shrug. He was only really half paying attention to what they were even talking about. Right now he was more concerned with getting people out of the area, since for all he knew, the chaos would start soon. "I don't know what would work out for this sort of competition, but who knows? For all we know Loki might be causing chaos at this point or whatever. Doesn't matter what happens, our goal is to get these people out of here." with those last words he charged straight for another group of 20 people, and within a minute, the entire group had disappeared, having been moved by Pietro elsewhere.

Lance's face turned red when Runa answered his question with regards to her cousin, "Oh," was all he managed to say in response before she asked about heights. "I mean I've been thrown out of a window before, any chance that I'd ever get a fear of heights sort of disappeared a while ago..." he eventually said, and he watched her take off into the sky surrounded by darkness. Lance's hands began to glow and eventually he managed to surround himself in light and he took off into the air after her, reaching the torch of the statue, and seeing that Loki appeared to be there.

"Bah, don't be so obvious niece. You may fancy yourself the goddess of lies, but you're merely a piss poor imitation of me," Loki taunted. He raised an eyebrow upon seeing Lance with her. "And how cute, you've found a pet. I always knew you'd be into bestiality, dear niece..."

"How about you shut the hell up," Lance instantly said to him, glaring, since this was getting to be more then a bit annoying. He only vaguely knew what sort of tactics Loki used based on what he had heard with regards to the battle of New York, but from what he knew, this sort of thing was sort of common with regards to him, meaning he likely was trying to rile them up or something.
