On the note of Traveler, I'mma say this:
Mass and size relate to her teleportation, not portals. Her portals are limited by not being able to appear more than three stories high, or low. Hence why she couldn't stop the majority of that pillar. Which perhaps I hadn't wrote clearly enough.
On Comet, he'd take some serious damage to his arm by hitting something at those speeds by my understanding. To be blunt, I thought about asking him to take more damage upon breaking his way out, but I felt what he'd done was enough during that scene. I feel that if he punched anything at Max speed he'd be liable to shatter every bone in his arm. The guy can't even breathe at those speeds.
I get your point, believe me I do. It's just trying to get that balance of power when one has several solid abilities.
And Override's character could actually stop Comet by feeding off of his energy, as well as any other character. If you have no energy, you won't be moving.
That's why I went with playing off of the 'day weakens him' gimmick he'd already provided. Reg may very well decide I limited him a bit much for all I know, hence why I've said Reg will finalize it. Also why I normally don't approve people period, when several times now I could have. I'd rather let Reg give that.
But out of the changes I requested, the only one I'm iffy on is the lasers. Do I realize it was a heavy limitation? Definitely. Reg and I talked for ages over Guilt. And we almost declined her. I could be remembering incorrectly, but I think I actually am the one who convinced us to approve her. Though I believe Red was already leaning that way. And we've essentially limited her more through the Clairvoyant interferences. Because as I've stated, she's easily the most OP person next to the High in the entire story at the moment.
The way I figured it was that since he always went the weakened during the day aspect, it would argue that his lasers would be more limited then as well.
I've actually messaged Reg over it with the suggestion that perhaps it could be limited a little less for the lasers at all times, but I'm not along Override to change it until Reg comes back online.
Like I said, I get where you're coming from. I get you're not trying to start stuff and all. I'm just incredibly terrible at explaining things, and an trying my best to make sure everyone understands where my Reasonings are coming from for the limitations.
If his only thing was lasers, I'd honestly probably have them be as powerful as Dragon's lightning and still give him healing at a crazy rate. The more diverse you are, the more you can do at a single time, the bigger the downside needs to be to level them out.
Honestly if Archangel wasn't weak to Iron there would've been issues there. Plus her moral standings limit her, to a degree, on how she can act with her abilities. You know how common Iron is, I assume? Adding those together limit her a fair deal in my mind.
Again, I feel like I sound like an ass writing this. I just hope my point that Reg will finalize that CS, whatever that entails, when he's active again.
All in all I feel everyone is pretty well in the same general power area, minus Phantom being on the low end. And Guilt and Archangel being on the high end.
I don't know that I've explained this properly.
My final note is that your suggestion for slower lasers instead of lacking power is definitely interesting, and I'll be bringing that idea up with Reg.
