I love how it's 'when' and not 'if'.

Although honestly, Venom seems like one of the weaker High, based on her description. Electric as well. I mean they're still both incredibly powerful, but of the High they're two of the weakest. Just above Island.

@Feisty-Pants feel free to use Mother Superior in your back story. I assume she's the only person on the planet who can take Jeanne by the ear and scold her like a two-year-old who made a mess out of chocolate icing.

*evil DM laughter*

Best kind of trouble is the kind your players get into on their own.

There, there was a bit of history in my post between her and the Mother Superior. XD

EDIT: Also, now EVERYONE knows the Archangel's real name. Thanks, Mother Superior.

Sorry to tell you, but you're incredibly off on Venom. The amount she's actually capable of...

To be blunt, she scares me. And that's why I called dibs on controlling her from the start.

@Feisty-Pants
It's a start. Thank you.

Added more into her actual history. Let me know if you need more. ^_^

Should add that to her weaknesses: "Obedient to the Mother Superior of St. Peter's church. Regardless of the situation."

Looks a job for Yorkshire Batman Gungnir.

This is the part where the criminal asks the police to arrest him, right?

I have completed this sheet. I hashed a few details with Amsterdam over Skype, so a bit of clarification is there.

Not yet. It's only when he pulls out his Judge Dredd helmet.

Looks good! Thank you, again, for adding that into the CS.

I'll be letting Reg deal with approving your sheet and everything.

Meh.

Prescient is the most powerful, possessing the power to control the future. It's effectively impossible to defeat them because they know what you'll do in advance, and they can remove any outcome they dislike.

Clairvoyant is the second-most-powerful because she has some of the predictive abilities of the Prescient through mind-reading and can kill people with a thought. No other ability besides psionics can block or oppose her attacks, and she can attack without being present.

Venom is probably third. Plague is a powerful ability and can wipe out large groups of people. And being able to rearrange the biology of living creatures allows her to create incredibly powerful servants.

Electric is the second. Raw firepower and strength. He can blast pretty much anything apart, but lacks subtlety and versatility.

Island is the lowest, although not far behind Electric. The relation between them depends on exactly how much energy and mass Island and Electric are able to manipulate, but in general energy-manipulation is slightly better. And Island lacks the ability to deal with more versatile enemies such as Clairvoyant. A powerful psychic could take him out with ease.

I can agree with your reasoning there, now that you've expanded on it.

Yey.

If there's anyone I don't wanna piss off it's the Prescient. But on the other hand, I can't do anything that would piss them off, because whatever it is they know I'll do it and how to stop it.

@AtomicNut
Whatever it is, the Prescient and Clairvoyant know about it. The Prescient can simply declare that it doesn't happen, and the Clairvoyant can make you forget you know it. Or headsplode ya.

Really, fighting the High as a collective is an exercise in futility. With enough powerful Epics you could probably take out Island or Electric, get enough psychics and you might even be able to take on Clairvoyant. Venom could be defeated by creatures immune to disease, those with great regenerative ability, incorporeal physical forms or non-biological bodies. Ironically Freaks are her biggest weakness. But the Prescient is unbeatable without their Kryptonite.

Of course, discovering her kryptonite might be possible. It's likely that the presence of her kryptonite prevents her future-telling abilities, so if you possess it they can't tell what you're going to do. But that's mostly just wishful thinking.

Not really. You can't foresee the source of your own powers. What if someone was crazy enough, had enough of a scientific background and managed to reach and analyze one of the six ground zeros?

That's an assumption. I'd be careful about those. There's no information on whether or not Prescient can predict the source of her powers, or whether the Starbursts are in fact the source of their powers. After all they were caused by a floating man, that man might be the one responsible for this. Maybe he just felt like blowing holes in the planet before he gave people superpowers.

Although it certainly is an interesting thought. I hadn't considered what the effects of the Starbursts might be. Hmm. I might have to have Guilt go over there and give it a look.

But they can't be looking everywhere at once, can they? Clairvoyant is highly myopic in that regard. They might all knowing, but they can't be all aware. Otherwise there's no fun. Or heads would explode.

Oh, true. My ability to piss off the High is supernatural in origin, so that might be able to bypass the Prescient's abilities ^-^

But, if there are limits to the Prescient.... that would certainly be interesting.

My dreams of overthrowing one of the basic premises of this RP are approaching (distantly) fruition.
