[OOC] One Piece: The Blackfin Chronicles

Like Luffy, she wants to find One Piece, but she has a goal in doing so beyond becoming Pirate King. This is important to her, so she does look for people who she feels have the strength/skill to make the journey.

This doesn't necessarily mean they're superhuman monsters like her, but they would at least be very clever and wily like Ussop.

Okay, now I pretty much just need to decide which between the three ( @Rin@Spanner@Zapdos ) of you I should kick things off with. Which would work best from a narrative perspective, etc.

@Blackstripe Maybe I didn't make it obvious enough in the CS, but my character didn't really jump into piracy. He helped a pirate because he felt he couldn't let them die, which kind of led him down that path by default because the government isn't exactly fond of people who help pirates. It's kind of like how Zoro became a pirate because Luffy saved him. I thought it'd make for a good backstory.

Also, I can tweak his backstory a bit if needed depending on when you want me to jump into the roleplay. I made the last part of it a little vague because I didn't know when he would be coming into the roleplay.

@Prewiga thanks for the idea, I'll consider it.

@ZapdosI'm actually thinking of having your character be the first one she happens upon in West Blue, as your character is probably the most "grounded" one here. If you give him a name, we can work on how this first arc will go via PM.

• Tracking : After having to hunt various criminals he has taught himself to track anything from animal to human.
• Superhuman Pain Tolerance : Through years of training his body and mind he has gotten to the point where he can mostly block the feeling of pain from his mind.
• Extreme Strength, Speed, and Reflexes : Due to constantly training and fighting Eadgar has increased his bodies physical abilities to that of way above the average level.

Background:
Eadgar was born to one of the greatest family of bounty hunters the world has ever seen. Unfortunately he didn't have the chance to know them as the family was destroyed from the inside when he was two. To their knowledge only he and his father escaped the destruction of this once great family. Once he turned four his father began teaching him how to fight so that one day they may avenge their family name together.

For years the father and son duo struck fear into criminals that originated from the West Blue. It's said that only a small few have escaped their blades, those few going on to be powerful within the criminal world. Despite how many criminals they have struck down the main target they have chosen for their revenge has eluded them.

Being bounty hunters is a rough world where one can easily stray down the wrong road. As such the remaining Grauwulf's have lived by a strict moral code. This has often gotten them in a pickle or two especially with the marines. One of their main codes is that if they don't witness the crime then they can't take down the criminal. Obviously with this policy many pirates have learned the way to avoid having the blades of the Grauwulf's pointed at them. The duo has even taken down the occasional Marine due to them witnessing a crime that the government would not acknowledge. Because of this the father has developed a meager bounty of 10,000.

If he is to weak or to strong(not sure when it comes to this world) let me know. Also I already have a plan in mind as to why he'd join the pirate crew. It also makes sense.

How do they make ANY money if they can't hunt anyone who they don't witness committing a crime first-hand? They would kind of just have to be there, right? And then do they let the criminal go until they get a bounty for the crime they saw them commit? So many questions!

As for strength, your profile doesn't make it clear how exactly strong Eadgar is, but since he seems to be West Blue's answer to Zoro, I'm going to assume he's a bit above the level Zoro was at towards the beginning of the series? Given that West Blue is one of the stronger Blues.

If someone had a bounty on them or rumors were going around about someone committing a crime in the area they were in then one of the two would track down and follow the criminals until they had a reason to take them down. Even if someone doesn't have a bounty on their head they will take the person down and turn them in. The two aren't necessarily in it for the money.(They be dirt poor. They do accept any token of gratitude from locals for defeating the criminals which tends to be a meal.) I do apologize for not having everything simple. My train of thought is weird so I sometimes leave out important details while knowing them but not realizing everyone else might not.

Knowing this I guess so. I didn't want to make my character to strong(because I like room for improvement) but with the world of One Piece it is so confusing to me sometimes. When it comes to straight up physical strength I'd say that at the beginning of seeing Zoro the two are very similar. Sword skill I'd say Zoro is still better since his goal was to be the best swordsman. Eadgar's is to avenge his family. His father is by far a better swordsman than Eadgar and has yet to teach him everything he knows and *spoiler alert* won't get to.

She slammed her fist into the lead pirate's jaw, his face twisting and molding to her knuckles with the same ease as whipped cream beneath a spoon. The large man was instantly lifted off his feet, rocketing towards the assembly of pirates behind him like a blubbery cannon ball. Smashing through their ranks with nary a hint of resistance, he crashed through the back wall of the tavern.

Though, even when I post it, I'll be keeping her backstory under wraps for a while. It'll be revealed as the RP progresses through West Blue.
