@Thecrash20 That sounds awesome! Badass undead sorcerer incoming?
Currently I'm thinking of some kind of ogre/orc warchief and or shaman/warlock kind of conglomeration. But that's all pretty vague.
I'm pretty firm on the ogre/orc who's power isn't from themselves but the huge war band they control. Though he would be semi-badass with an artefact weapon or something.
This is an awesome idea. It's sorta similar to mine; I plan to have a sort of Beastman, created as a champion by a sort of but not all powerful demon, and hes just sorta spent his time gathering beastkin followers until recently. They could end up being fierce rivals.

Love the concept! Just note that the war band itself will have to be posted at a different fort as to not crowd Lancelot's keep. However your warlord may handpick a handful of warriors as personal guards or servants to stay at residence.
I just realized the Sci-Fi tag is also on this RP. There's going to be Sci-Fi stuff?
Ah glad you notice that, and potentially. While there won't be any super advanced aliens and UFO's if players want to make a magic system or otherwordly race that leans more towards SCI-Fi then Fantasy that is allowed; granted in moderation. Keep in mind that this RP will focus more on fantasy then SCI-FI regardless.

I look forward to the bickerings between two rival War Chiefs in one house.

Im fine with a rivalry between beastmen and orcs, though im still deciding if im going to go with a warcraft or warhammer flavor of orc. a warcraft version would have more of a society behind it and internal politics... however the warhammer flavor wouldnt but would be a society of total war, every facet of society being bent on making war.

I am definitely taking inspiration from warhammer, although it's difficult to find a character image without sifting through all the pictures of Khazrak One-Eye.
@Komager interesting, but i have come up with another idea, it would still largely fit into a rival warband concept but maybe a Goblin warlord instead. lots of clockwork & Steampunk technology intermixed with the Orcs and trolls.
are we allowed to have steam/clockwork tech @dragonmancer?

Yes. However you must decide whether or not the tech was stolen or invented. If stolen, the tech is of higher quality but lacks enough abundance to equip the whole tribe in steam punk gear; Steampunk vehicles (if any) will be less abundant as well. Invented tech however can supply the whole population and give an abundance of vehicles and the like; at the cost of them being of lower quality make and prone to malfunction or break often. Unless if you can convince me that your goblins are brilliant engineers.

Deal, Im aiming for Warhammer goblins so they are rather clever, but stupid (if that makes sense) So... im going with invented themselves but its cheap garbage. the complex stuff breaks half the time but, assuming i can have black powder the cannons or rifles are slow but reasonably reliable.

There better be a battalion of clumsy goblin riflemen ready to salute their dark lord.
Of course. im having trouble finding examples. but essentially think the goblins from Warcraft with less silly technology with the crazed warlike mind from Warhammer.
So the steam driven 'tanks' will probably be closer to battering rams with gun ports for passengers to shoot from and things along those lines rather than anything advanced. anything more advanced than cheap guns and unreliable steam driven vehivles would probably be stolen.
Introducing our first NPC. Bolladreq is the power cap in terms of raw destructive power. For anyone making high tier villains, use him as a reference for how strong he/she should be.
Bolladreq the Sleeping Tyrant of Camelot
Sleeping Tyrant of Camelot, The Great Fell Dragon, Elderscale Primordial
General description
Race
Ancient Dragon
Age
The Great Dragon himself was born far before humans came into being, he is one of the last dragons from the prehistory era.
Size
45 feet in height, 87 feet in length (bipedal), 45 tons.
Gender
Male
Sexuality
Straight
Religion
Though he has no form of worship, he does at least acknowledge the existence of gods and demons, even though he believes they are beneath him.
Guardian of the treasure hoard.
He is tasked with staying within the mass cavern that is Lancelot's treasure hoard (Despite Bolladreq claiming openly that it is his treasure.) and to both manage and guard it. He is to supply the Knights of Evil with artifacts and currency, should they need it, as well as store any treasures they recover. Bolladreq does not consider himself a Knight of Evil, and his service to Lancelot is limited to more of a mild respect and out of conevienance; he has no care for the title of dark lord nor does he have no qualms with defying Lancelot should he overstep his boundries. It has been agreed that Bolladreq has the final say over the contents of his treasure, but that doesn't stop Lancelot from tricking or bribing him into his wishes.
Personality
While most would imagine such an ancient creature to be wise and mystical, Bolladreq's wisdom is overshadowed by his overwhelming greed, sour attitude, and an obnoxious sense of pride. He tends to deliver a sarcastic sense of humor, however he is easily enraged if provoked. On a more casual day he gives off the impression of an up stuck noble, especially with his human disguise. Perhaps living so long has made him soft, for he is incredibly lazy despite all his power and pride. He spends most of his time in slumber, and rarely seeks engages in any activity unless he is provoked into combat. His greed was the driving force behind his collection, the room of mystical treasures that Lancelot now 'owns'. Though to Bolladreq, Lancelot does not own his treasure but rather burrows from it. He expects compensation as the previous knight of camelot rises to power. While one would think that a dragon would desire the throne of the dark lord, His laziness and contempt with his treasure hoard lacks any driving force to take such responsibility.
Biography
Bolladreq has known Lancelot even before his famed betrayal. There exact relationship is unknown, but Bolladreq's 'service' to Lancelot suggests something more of convenience then outright loyalty. However Bolladreq's submission, even if minor, is a testament to Lancelot's unknown power; though many infer that an outright battle between the greedy dragon and the former knight of the round table would be a close and destructive event.
As an ancient beast, he has attained much wisdom with his growing eternity of a lifespan. However despite his wealth of knowledge he falls victims to his petty desires of pride and greed. Still, having seen the world been born and grow, kingdoms being created and destroyed; He is a great source for those that seek knowledge of history or the world as a whole. His knowledge does not come without a fee however, and he expects to be rewarded with treasure should he even consider sparing such wisdom.
Bolladreq is a 45 foot tall bipedal dragon, clad in thorny plates of green scales. Great wings with a crimson membrane rest at his back, Two prominent horns curve out from the back of his skull amidst a series of smaller horns that resemble spikes or thorns along his skull and jaw. His tail is speared with a triangle-shaped tip that is as sharp as a blade, and his claws are just as dangerous. He is four-toed, both his hands and feet bear sharp menacing claws. Rows of spines curve back from his plated scales along the spine, all the way to the tail. His eyes glow like a pair of firey yellow orbs, and like a crocodile. His maw is loaded with teeth, and a forked tongue often slithers out from it.
His human transformation speaks his age, as he takes the appearance of an elderly man, yet still ripe with a fit and bulky body. His hair is messy with the color of smoke-white, and a beard that also fits his elderly appearance. Blue eyes. which its' pupils still retain a slightly slit shape, gleam a faint light. His skin is sun-kissed and weathered. His nose is red, that bears a scar from the bridge to his cheek and forehead in a diagonal line. His face is usually serious in expression, though cocky smiles are revealed when he speaks highly of himself.
He typically wears attires fit for a noble, gothic black in design. Capes with fancy shoes and sometimes a hat to match. Sometimes he sports robes of a similar theme, or a gilded armor with a redcape that was likely apart of his hoard of treasure.
Traits and Equipment
Dragons are rare, often old, and powerful beings of the realm. Reptile in nature, all dragons have a natural affinity towards fire. Many, at least those that are considered sapient, are affiliated with greed, pride, and wrath. They are immortal, Rarely produce offspring (with the exception of the lesser dragons, dragons that lack sapience and breed like animals), and are often very unique; making them few and far between similarly aside from their shared attributes above. They are magical in nature, and some have far more power and diversity in their elements then others. Dragons come in many different forms as well, from your typical wyvern to an asian-styled dragon; a great serpent or a six limbed, western style dragon. A giant lizard or a Verocious Sand Wurm.
Elder Dragons are the oldest of dragons, born in an era long before humans came to be. A single Elder Dragon maybe somewhere between 920,000 years old to being over 3 billion years old. They are considered to be both the wisest and most powerful class of dragons, however there are few individuals that remain. Those that do remain are feared even by demons and other monsters, and regarded to be as equals.
Ancient Armor
Dragon scales are hard to break, and Bolladreq is no exception. His plated scales are as durable as steel, and like all dragons, no amount of heat can burn or damage his body; inside and out. His toxic nature makes him resilient to most forms of poisons and blights, though unlike his heat immunity he is not entirely immune to the strongest of acids or the most potent of ailments and toxins.
Toxic Lizard
Bolladreq has various toxic properties, such as a flammable saliva that exhumes a noxious chemical when burned, a venom-laced bite similar to a cobra's toxin, and blood that is almost as acidic as stomach acid (The blood of most dragons are similarly toxic in nature).
Power of a Tyrant
Being a great beast, Bolladreq has immense physical strength. Alone he can carry over twice his weight, and he can tear through most metals without trouble. His tail, being as sharp as a spear, alone is an effective weapon both for jabbing and swinging like a blunt instrument. His claws and teeth are just as formidable. He is capable of flight, and is deceiptively fast for his bulk; granted he can still be out-runned by more nimble creatures.
Walking Inferno
Bolladreq has formidable fire manipulation. He is able to exhume blazes of flames that can flood a city in a sea of fire, exhale a concentrated volley of fire that can tear through the average mountain, and stir enough heat to turn create pools of molten rock and metal. His manipulation is limiting to summon flames off of his scales while variations of firebreathing are his only method of ranged attacks. His saliva can be burned with a firebreathe to create a green flame that has a far more dangerous smoke then typical fire, as it is both disorienting and toxic to inhale.
Cold Blooded
Biologically, Bolladreq is an ectothermic reptile and cannot produce his own body heat naturally. His fire ability allows him to heat his own body, however he does not have unlimited endurance and the more firepower he uses can drain him into exhaustion. Left vulnerable in cold conditions, he quickly becomes lethargic and easy to both outmaneuver and outwill. Cold based attacks can slowly drain his fire producing energy, and being drenched in water can temporarily douse his external fire production.
Achilles Heel
While his scales are tough, his chest is far more vulnerable and soft then the rest of his body, and a clean blow from a good weapon can deliver great injuries given the chance.
Dragon's Bane
There is a very rare flowering plant called Dragon's Bane. Named so because its aroma repels dragons. Exposure to the plant can rend Bolladreq weak and ill, forcing him to ingest it can cause him to become gravely ill.
Ego Bubble
His arrogance can easily allow him to underestimate foes, and he can become agitated quiet fast if anyone dares to insult his pride; Both weak points for manipulating him.
Dragon's Greed
If there is anything Bolladreq loves more then himself, it is his wealth. Bribing Bolladreq with rare items and treasures is certainly an easy way to get him to do what you want.
Ring of Mortal Illusion
Though Bolladreq owns the treasure horde filled with rare and enchanting artifacts, he carries with him the Ring of Mortal Illusion. A ring that when worn, shape shifts the wearer, if the wearer is a non-mortal entity, into a human counterpart. Despite the initial small size of the ring, its enchanted to fit practically any sized beast or demon so long as it has a finger to wear it on.
Relationships
(optional. Unless if you have predefined relationships with other accepted characters that were discussed by both parties, keep this blank and add to it as the IC progresses, giving a brief description have how your character feels about the other characters he/she interacts with.)
Other
(Theme songs or other noteworthy things and such go here.)
The goblins and thier horde wouldnt be able to just raze a city in a few minutes or hours... at least that wasnt their intention. I guess ill be upping the ante with giant monsters as well... like tamed wyverns or giant spiders
@Sophrus If its any solice Bolladreq will never be used offensively since hes bound to the treasure hoard. City destroyers are the highest calibur we'll have. Enemies, both good and evil aligned, will have just as strong forces. Some missions will be cakewalks though, all matter of fun really.
IF your going for the tech aspect, why not have airships armed with a devastating cannon?
