Well armored and wielding a very unique looking spear, Stryker is a strange fellow wandering the Town of beginnings looking for players to help him with a mysterious task. No information is told of what awaits players but there is promises of great rewards for aiding him.
Standing tall and proud, this unarmed man is camping outside the town of beginnings along with a number of his associates issuing challenges to new players. Unlike the weak willed swine inside the city cowering at the idea of mortality he fights back against the game and its cruel creators by practicing combat with other players leaving the town in order to help them understand how combat works. But be careful not to make him angry!
Not a large species of forest predator, the wolf is still an enemy new players should fear! With razor sharp teeth and the agility to make use of it they can quickly overwhelm an unprepared player with their ferocity!
Skills; Bite (Minor damage, bleed, Cripple - if struck in the leg), Lunge (Minor damage), Rend (Minor damage, armor loss)
Standing at over 4 feet, these boars are fiercely territorial as they wander the pathway from the Town of Beginnings up to Bulls run and will attack any player they see. Be careful, since they tend to wander in pairs!
Skills; Gore (minor damage, minor bleed), Rush (Movement speed boost in a direct line), Ram (Minor damage, knockback)
Personality: Megumi is quite a jovial, charming person, however she isn't boisterous. She exudes an inviting 'aura' that seems attractive to most people and her general demeanor supports it for the most part. Interestingly, she can be quite selfish, but subtly so; meaning that she will do things for herself as long as it isn't too noticeable. For example, she might purposefully take the last hit bonus and pass it off as a mistake. Overall she's quite a carefree person who likes to just do 'whatever'. Despite all this, she's able to read situations and take things seriously if need be.
Background: Megumi was born into a small family of four; her parents, herself, and her younger brother. All living in a house build on top of their family run bakery located on a relatively lively shopping strip. From a young age, Megumi was quite a popular girl, and that wasn't just because her family ran a bakery. Reasonably smart, humorous, and friendly; pretty much the 'girl next door' type. Her carefree attitude lead to her having a multitude of hobbies which ranged from sports to video games, from sciences to music. Although her parents were happy that their daughter had such a open mind, they couldn't fund so many activities at once. Only allowing her to pick a few hobbies. So she settled on learning the Guitar and playing video games in her spare time.
She was super hyped for 'Sword Art Online', to be able to run around in an MMO sounded surreal. Unfortunately when she started the game, she found herself trapped within it. Not really something she could prepare for. Character class: Ranged Level: 1 Weapon: Throwing Knives Ingame skills:
Pin down - Weapon Art cripples the target, impairing their movement.
Personality: She often speaks true to herself and doesn't let others dictate how she should live her life. This makes her come across as snarky if not somewhat overly sarcastic at times. Though with that said she is often playful and wants to spend time with friends. She has a odd way of showing her displeasure to friends however with her either pinching their cheeks and or going in to a lecture on how and or why they should avoid such behavior. She is deep down a caring person though her manner of speaking often tends to get in the way of her making good impressions. Despite this she can be somewhat of a pessimist at times though she never really lets it get to out of hand and continues forward despite the hardships that come her way.
Background: Born into a well off family Hiei grew up fairly well at least never to be wanting. With that said she had a fairly simple child hood nothing that sticks out. Overall you would say she had lived a average life growing up never really having that "event" that really makes a persons life good or bad. She didnt truely get into games till later on in her life. Though she just recently got into games in general from her first time she was immidiantly hooked. It was something that allowed her to do more than what she could normally do from than one she quickly got her hands on whatever game she could. It was just that different for her a novelty as it was since with it she could be someone different than who she and it was that which made her all the more excited. When the announcement of SAO came out she was hooked on the idea a game without magic was novel and it made her all the more excited. It lead her to point of buying a nerv gear but little did she know she was in for more than she bargained for.

Character name:Thomas Bridger Real Name:Thomas Bridger
Age:20 Gender:Male Height:5'9 Build: Skinny and out of shape.
Personality:Thomas moved around a lot in his life so he never really developed any friendships so he tends to shy away from other contact and be more on the reserve side. But once he makes a friend he remains loyal even if it kills him, he might be quite around new people but once he gets to know someone he is all jokes and he's the loudest dude in the room making his personality seem like a coin flip sometimes. Really all he is, is lonely wanting that companionship but afraid that they will leave him or hurt him in someway.
Background:Thomas was actually born an American, his father was a very busy and important businessman so often they were moving around a lot. And as his father started developing his career more, the further they went. First to different parts of Europe and things seemed great they settled in a lot more got to know people but it seemed to him that as soon as he opened up to someone he had to leave again.
As a result of this, he found video games to fill his void. Specifically VR games, here he could be whoever he wanted and make his own friends. The escapism continued well after they moved out of Europe it seemed he spent more of his time in the game world than he did in the real world so they always seemed real to him. Finally his father announced that they were moving to Japan and he was happy to go one of the biggest video game industries in the world and he got to be apart of it. For the first time in his life he was happy to be moving, and he got there about the same time as the announcement of SAO. Not wanting to miss out he asked his father for some money and bought a nervegear and the game. Little did he know that his life was going to be changed forever.
Age: 25 Gender: Male Height: 6'3" Build: Slim & Athletic
Personality: At first, Aaron doesn't appear to be the kind of person you'd want as a friend. He is almost always angry or complaining about something, his attitude towards others can range from amicable to standoffish depending on how he feels about them. But in truth, Aaron can be a great friend to have. His loyalty to them is almost unbreakable, willing to go to great lengths to help them. His problems are theirs and anyone who tries to hurt his friends will recieve nothing but hatred from him. As for life in general he has a rather bleak view of the world. In his eyes, people are terrible and given the right circumstances everyone is capable of evil, even himself. While his general demeanor can be depressed or angry he is capabale of showing happiness and even laughter but that's for special occasions. Speaking of laughter, his sense of humor is a bit strange. If you're looking to make him laugh, you need to say something really demented for him to let out more than a slight chuckle.
Background: Life in the big city can be challenging, especially being born into an immigrant family. From a young age Aaron saw how people caan act out of desperation and selfishness. From gang activity to just people being shitty to eachother, he's seen pretty much everything you could see from living in a big city. As time went on life in the city got to him, eventually making him into the person he is today for better or worse. The only escape he really had from reality were video games, his first game was a fantasy rpg and he loved it. While he explored the various genres he could never say no to a great fantasy rpg and that's what brought him to SAO. He'd been playing around with VRMMOs but it was the announcement of SAO that got his attention. An entire fantasy world in VR? He knew from the moment he heard about it that he'd have trouble leaving this game.
Personality: One could consider therein to exist a divide between the individual known as ”Kazuko” and the avatar known as “Elys”. Kazuko tends to be reserved, shy, and keeps her gaze downtrodden.. There are few times when Kazuko leaves the safety of her room, snuggled away in her blankets and playing video games being her sole pleasure in her existence.
Perhaps it has been more than a month or so as the teen had not shown up for any of her classes, accepting the lifestyle of a NEET to her own, if begrudgingly. Littered within her room are various degrees of instant foods. The only thing that really sticks out aside from her varying degrees of foodstuffs not yet thrown away, collected and forgotten about, would be her NerveGear headset, a drawing pad where she makes lewd drawing to sell to buy her games, and a lamp, of which she hardly uses, her eyes naturally adjusted to the dark of her room. Her bed remains mostly unused, more often than not passing out from exhausting upon her desk rather than any sort of regulated sleeping, from her consistent press towards her online games.
Her single mother often attempts to force her out of her room, though after seeing the state of her daughter a few times, she believes it might be for the best that she grows out of her phase naturally, though she had cut off her spending money.
There once existed a, although not really a ray of sunshine, a rather content girl, who simply wished to finish school and live a quiet life. Though the previous dream might be dead, at least she could “live” her life, barely scraping by through her art. One could not really call this a “life”, staying herself in the depths of her delusions and escapism, but at the very least Kazuko believes it much better than putting up with the constant and consistent belittling, and the lack of disciplinary action against those who had wronged her. At least, in the world of her games, she could pretend to be someone else. Someone with the power to prevent others from belittling her to this extent.
Elys, the pseudonym Kazuko uses as her avatar in most games, tends to on the scale of bombastic, suave, and stylish, and never averting their gaze from what is before them, often more than not taking on the role of a leader. The sort of person who would never let another insult her, nor insult those she cares about. The sort of person strong enough, at least on outward appearance, who could easily brush away inconveniences and focus on what matters the most to them at a given time. They will say what they are feeling, never bottling up their emotions like Kazuko would in her average day when she had went to school.
However, there is also another key difference and that Elys tends not to be a female, but rather a male. Perhaps this is due to some sort of idealization of what she believes a male to be, often brazen and the first into battle, and often utilizing crude language styles, even within voice communications, through various degrees of filters and the like. Or perhaps something deep within Kazuko wishes for companionship similar to Elys, given that her first “relationship” ended with pretty steady disaster.
In the world where an individual’s appearance is copied and displayed for the gamers to see after the realization of their folly with purchasing a [shitty game] death game, Elys and Kazuko will have to find a balance between one another.
Background: High school is a time for change in everybody’s life.. Those fortunate enough, or with enough investment, to have been able to obtain a position at a reputable school, one’s future could be guaranteed so long as they continue trying. But this was not the case for Kazuko.
Though she was never really one for social interaction, there was no reason why anyone in class would even look towards the teen. They simply did as they were told; went to school, were moderately successful at exams, and they were not in a club. Though not unpopular, she didn’t seem to have many friends either. Overall, an uninteresting individual who seemed they could not draw the ire or favor of many around her, aside from teachers and staff for her respectful demeanor.
Perhaps this simplicity is what drew a rather unsavoury individual to her presence. A senior, a year ahead of her, had eyed her with less-than-savoury eyes; upon an incident in which the man had tried to pressure the underclassman into a position she felt less comfortable with, as if a flight or fight response, Kazuko struck the senior with all the strength she could muster and ran away.
She had wished this would be the end to the issues, an end to her problem. But unfortunately for her, the boy had in his youthful brashness spread ill-spirited rumors about a supposed relationship between the two.
Included in this was the girlfriend of the senior, a fellow classmate of Kazuko, who had made it her goal now to strike out against the innocent girl for her rumored actions to seduce her boyfriend.
It did not take long for the signs to begin. At first, there existed a few absences here and there, which due to their sporadic nature could have been written off as a cold, but these assumed hardly connected absences began appearing more frequently, to the point where in her second year of school, Kazuko refused to go to classes anymore.. With no one to rely on, her fragile friends abandoning her, and the berating she received through a chance interaction she had no control over, there was nothing to her in school aside from misery.
Instead, she placed herself into the digital world. A world where she could pretend to be anyone she wanted; someone who unlike her plot in life could have agency over her interactions, and could meet friends without the negative stigma of her name being attached to any interactions she came across. In addition to this, despite being a girl, Kazuko tends to create male avatars in her games, often getting into relationships with female in-game characters, whom she attempts to romance to the best of her ability as she believes another girl would wish to be taken.

"Errors are accidental, mistakes are intentional. There is a difference. An error will become a mistake if you refuse to correct them."
Age: 23 Height: 180 cm Gender: Male Build: Well-rounded (not thin or fat), brainy. Personality:
Calm in every situation is Alexander's character defining traits. Whether it is in his blood, or it is developed during his days is not known, but it is one great blessing for such a well-raised and prestigious person like Alexander. He rarely wavered from his cool temperament, even when insulted or pressured, and talks with a slow, smooth, low-toned and calm voice, and will not speak out of emotions, but rather logic. He generally appears polite and helpful.
But behind the calm and collected mask is a trait that one would call as cynical, or ruthlessness. He does not consider himself so, nor does the real Alexander indicates so. Taking the matter philosophically, one would be able to identify Alexander as a true realist, compared to idealists. While idealists always look at the world through rose-colored glasses, believing in things such as loyalty, honor, justice and morality as something that should be maintained at all time, realists are those who see that the people are in it for themselves. They see that morality and ideals mean nothing if you cannot protect them by any means necessary. And Alexander is the exact latter, while trying his best to stick to his own moral code, he believed that the end justifies the means, despite how cruel and ruthless it may seem. Ultimately, he is a good person, but is one who has seen reality better than others, and while his goals are morally justified, his methods will definitely not be agreed by everyone.
Alexander is a very perceptive and logical person. While not very smart or innovative, he is the one who usually take things with careful steps, especially in fights. He will never charge into battle the first second, nor he will indiscriminately or randomly attack without considerations. He instead will take a step back to analyze and examine the situation as long as possible before actually taking actions. His methods are usually very efficient, but often cruel and ruthless.
Background:
Born to an English bloodline of nobles, and a genius in the field of computer science, Alexander had a very successful academic life, being a top student at school in the first 9 years of his studies, earning himself a scholarship in Japan in computer programming. Alexander spent another 7 years studying high school and then university in Japan. He was thinking of returning to the UK after university, but was then offered a job at Argus as a permanent programmer. He was very intrigued with the job, and considering the high wages, he would be a fool to deny such an offer. He began working for Argus the day he stepped out of university with a degree in his hand. For the first few months, he quickly proved himself capable in his position, and was given a role in the development of the new virtual reality game: Sword Art Online. He was the one who designs the interface in which players interact with the game. When the game went viral, Alexander was gifted a special copy of the game and the NerveGear so that he can play the game that he took part in designing. Little did he know that he would be trapped in it as well
"Cowards! Are all of you this pathetic! Face me or die!"
Real Name: Sando Ichiya Age: 22 Gender: Male Height: 6’4 Build: Athletic, Brawny Personality: Aggression and belligerence are the most defining features of "Apollyon's" psyche. His undying thirst for battle leads him to constantly challenge other players or the first to charge against a monster. The fact he has an orange player crystal doesn't bother him. Holding to himself a high standard of martial prowess, he rattles off and despises weakness of any sort such as hiding behind shields, cowering in armor or using trickery in battle. Its likely that part of him doing this is to aggravate other players into a fight. Apollyon cares little for where the blood flows, only that it does.
His violence and wroth serves another purpose as only when he is in the heat of battle can Apollyon remember who he really was. Battle bring his mind into a zen like clarity and he seeks war as he is secretly afraid that he will forget everything and then the only thing that will truly loose himself in rage.
Background: Sando Ichiya was never the most stable of individual, having spent much of his life as a delinquent. Falling into a bad crowd, if Ichiya wasn't trying to beat the shit out of someone, he was at the gym trying to hone his ability to beat the shit out of someone. As he aged, his belligerence only got worse as his anger management issues became increasingly apparent until it boiled over when he nearly beat another person to death. Arrested and imprisoned, part of his sentence was anger management therapy. His therapist, in a creative stroke, told Ichiya to play video games which would allow him to vent his anger and aggression in a form which wouldn't hurt others. His parents were at first outraged by it, being staunch anti-video game people all of Ichiya's life. However, Ichyia became to show signs of improvement and began to clean up.
When SAO rolled around, Ichiya was an avid gamer with a life with a good outlook for the first time ever. However, after it was revealed that SAO was all just a giant digital prison, he suffered extreme mental trauma, his mind unable to comprehend why he was suffering like this. He had paid his dues, he had done his time, and he was on the road to redemption. But to suddenly have all of that taken away from him drove him mad and he regressed into his old ways of aggression with increasing brutality and savagery. With a barely contained bloodlust, he is the first to throw himself into battle and the first to criticize any signs of weakness in anyone around him. As to if he just wants to kill or if he seeks his own death, unable to bring himself to suicide. Character class: Warrior Level: 1 Weapon(s): Great Axe, Claws (attached to gauntlets) Skills:
To escape this place, I have to forge myself the same way I forge my blades.
Name: Yari Yamauchi
Age: 26 Gender: Female Height: 170 cm Build: Slender
Personality: Someone of a stern and unyielding manner of personality, Yari is not stubborn persay, but rather persistent in that which she believes. Whether this is something that carries on from her real life experiences or not, only those that knew her outside the game could say. An upfront and honest person, she cares not for petty games of politics or the machinations in the dark. In the time it takes to make all those traps that fall apart at first contact, she would rather be forging herself further and further, closer to her own ideal.
In a less kind way of phrasing it, she is a musclebrained idiot. Now, that is a bit of an exaggeration of course. It's not that she is lacking in intelligence, it is that rather than scheming and planning for a situation to only save minor gains, she believes that the simpler solution is often the better one. He who has the hardest fist is often the most correct.
Of course if the situation demands for it, she is perfectly willing and able to create strategy and plans in order to save herself or her allies from catastrophic loss. But hey, if she can make up for that lack of strategy with her own ability, that would probably be better.
Background: To say it in the simplest terms, an office lady. She worked long and thankless days to get her paycheck, only to see it burned off every month to pay for the minimum living necessities (and beers for after work. Nothing like it after a hard day after all.) In a more complex manner of explanation, she was a highschool and university graduate wide eyed and ready for the real world! That is to say, she was until the reality of well. . . reality. . . hit her.
The long days were fine at first, but over time, day after day. Year after year, they dragged on and on. Eventually, they started to drain on her. Her spark started to go out, and she went through every day like a zombie.
That is, until one of her friendly coworkers recommended she try this new mmo that had come out recently. Yari was not a gamer, so she went in skeptical to say the least. From the moment she logged in however, she was hooked. New worlds. Exciting adventures. There was really no way that she could not get sucked in. It rekindled her spark. Her zest for life. In fact, she got so absorbed into her gaming, that she started to neglect other aspects of her life.
Of course, she never let her work slip. That was the only thing that was paying for the other aspects of her shut in lifestyle of course. But other than going to work, and occasionally going out for the mandatory drink with her coworkers after the work day had ended, she would stop by the convenience store, buy some beers and snacks, and game. The weekends were the best. Not having to go into work the next day left her free to game deep into the night. It was amazing. In fact, before the SAO was teased to the public, she was a relatively high ranking player in the previous MMO. She was dedicated to the grind. It didn't bother her to grind out skill proficiencies or experience or quests for some reason. You would think that it would, given that it was not all that different from the grind of work day after day, but to her, it was a completely different animal. This other world kept her hooked from start to finish.
Then, SAO was released. Of course she was one of the chosen few who managed to get their hands on the Nerv Gear and a copy of the game. There simply was no way that she would let it pass by. In fact, she had already chosen the path she was planning on traveling in the game, and researched any available alternatives that might fit her better. Warriors are important, but crafting personnel are important as well. All the more if she can be both. She would have the top guilds grasping at her coattails. Of course, she wouldn't join any that had some annoying ulterior motive. She just wanted to join the strongest warriors to climb this fantastical new world.

Real Name: Fuga Abe Age:22 Gender: Male Height: 173cm Build: Athletic.
Personality: As the result of watching too much Super Sentai Show, he has developed a sense of heroism ever since he was a child. He likes to help people (while still looking cool), and the endless praises that comes with it can’t hurt either. Though some might say that this desire to always be the hero saving the day makes him a nosy person. Always poking around and try to find out what is wrong so he can fix it. He is somewhat ignorant of people’s feeling as well. When people called him out for being busy body, he argued that people that he “saved” are just being unappreciative and doesn’t know a chivalry when they see one (is that even a saying?).
History: After he graduated from high school, he applied to join the Police Force at age 18. But he fails the physical exam. Since then, he has been working out. Eventually he passed the test and became a police officer at age 20. When he heard about SAO, he knew that the game is for him. The grand adventure and a whole new world of monsters waiting for him to slay, with his own hands! He borrows the money from his family and friends to buy the Nerve Gear. And let’s just say that he became the example to the saying “be careful what you wish for” as soon as he steps inside the game.
Personality: Discourteous, stubborn, and blunt. Touma is a defiant product of the harsh environment in which he grew up. He has been forced to realize that there is nobody in the real world who would come to your aid and that if you want something to be done, then do it yourself. Relying on nobody and distrusting everybody is how he decides he'll live his daily life. His quickness to anger at disrespect and his own refusal to respect figures of authority have landed him in a trouble on more than one occasion.
He is not an inherently bad person. He is more reactionary than anything and does not set out to cause problems, though he is vulnerable to those that do. He is independent and loathes relying no another or being in somebody's debt. Oddly enough, he would certainly take a promise seriously. He does not do things that would cause him pain or irritation. Touma is unlikely to lend a hand to those in need unless he is forced to or he is the only person who can and he would do so with reluctance. It should come as no surprise he has difficulty placing trust in anybody else, and so he prefers silence and being alone.
Of course, this is merely how he acts outside of the game world. Inside it, he differs greatly.
Licht is a refusal of the world Touma has experienced. In his mind, she is an impossible existence. One that not only prefers company to solitude, but thrives on it. She is one who would throw her life on the line for a friend and goes out of her way to help those in trouble. She smiles, jokes, enjoys life, and cares for others while earning their friendship. She is the ideal "hero" he wished he had before he was forced to stand alone. As such, she can only exist here in the virtual world, where the impossible is possible. A place where one might live their dreams.
Background: He prevails.
Aside from his timid character, there was not a trait that should have caused unfavorable people to choose Touma as their target, but perhaps that simply did not matter. Since a younger age, he had been made to do random errands for his bullies and he received blows both physically and verbally on a daily basis. Worst of all, nobody had seemed to care enough to try stopping them. Students, perhaps fearful for their own well-being, turned a blind eye. Tattling seemed to only earn him more punishment from the horrible children that pained him. His parents, oftentimes overseas due to work, neglected him as well. He lived a really unfortunate and painful life, for a time.
But then things changed.
Something snapped.
It might have been his realization that things were bound to continue like this until somebody stopped it. Perhaps he came to understand that, if it wasn't himself, then nobody would. The only person people cared about were themselves. So... then he needed to stop all of this.
A "routine beating" of his ended with a twist. The "main bully" of the group was the one being beaten. Instead of looking downwards and accepting the cruel treatment he had been receiving, he decided to dish out some punishment of his own. An unexpected strike caught his torementer offguard, and then many more left him in no condition to worry about anything other than if he was going to survive this retaliation. The bully was bloodied, his face swollen, and more importantly, absolute fear gripping his heart. One that took hold of the others as they arrived upon the scene.
That was the last day Touma had been bullied.
From then, his timid demeanor had changed in its entirety. He became aggressive. His victory over his bullies brought him confidence. There was no trace of the old, weak Touma left. He did not become the thing he despised, but he was feared by many in his school forever onward. Though this turned out only to entice even worse characters to approach him, wishing to strike him down for many reasons, all exclusively petty.
He proved to be more than anybody could really handle, and at least in regards to local delinquents, he was infamous. But this life was not one he wanted. He came to desire a quieter life. One he knew was impossible. For some reason, there was almost never a shortage of idiots who wanted to knock him out simply for street credit. That meant that when he was outside, he was never really safe. Touma eventually came to understand that the only place he could feel safe or relax was at his home. And so Licht was born.
She serves.
An existence thought impossible. A person in complete contrast to Touma, one who expresses delight at the chance to forge new friendships and in assisting those in need. A hero to the weak and an enemy to injustice. Of course, this is all in the world of games. She can only exist where people can play make believe. Where people go to live out fantasies that could never happen in the real world.
A person like Touma is not one who looks like they would play games, let alone play them as the opposite gender, but that is precisely why he choose a female avatar. To seperate reality and fiction. He knew deep down that had he chosen a male avatar, he might not have been able to keep an act up. Also they had all the best-looking equipment, though that last part is something he doesn't admit to influencing his decision even to himself.
SAO is not the first game Touma/Licht has been a part of. Hopefully it won't be the last.

Name: Mirri Yuzumia Username: Atropa Belladona (Atropa for short) Age: 24 Gender: Height: 161cm Build: Athletic built with a well rounded figure, something she generally uses to get her way if necessary. Take from that what you will. Personality: Mirri's personality can be described as complex, she appears to be a silent woman whom is very much hardworking to the average observer. Her work is always neat and tidy and she generally ties up all her loose ends completely, a perfectionist quality she garnered as a result of her upbringing, this even bleeds over into the games she plays, where she seems to get quiet satisfaction taking the hardest routes and yet somehow making it work.
However even so when it comes to people the most common thing someone close to her would notice about her personality is how fake it really is around others. When it would benefit her, she smiles, she agrees, she acts like an upper class woman should act at any time and isn't above using it to get just a little of what she wants and perhaps that is the scariest part about her personality, you wouldn't know it was an act unless she herself informed you it was therefore her true feelings can be seen as something of enigma. A mystery of sorts though considering what she says to people she's like, shes probably juggling multiple things at any one time...
Born to a sweet caring woman and her rather rich husband. For the few years after her birth she was happy. Her life was simple, she was a child, she didn't know anything about the world and so she smiled, she played with all the other kids and felt genuinely happy. She was the definition of health for a 6 year old girl when... everything took a turn for the catastrophic.
Unbeknown to her, her mother had started to have been abused by her father as the birth of mirri had in his eyes ruined her mothers body and thus because of the fact she wasn't working hard enough to correct her now (in his eyes) inferior form. The continuous Abuse lead to her mother becoming cold and rather strict with her daughter. Though people are only human and eventually... her mother was broken mentally under the abuse and lashed out violently towards her daughter ending up, beating her senseless in a fit of mad rage and anger, her mother calling her a poison to their life.
She went to school the next day, her body bruised and beaten, of course the police were called on the household for child abuse and her mother was arrested for child abuse. This event led to her creating a facade to cover up her pain in order to fit in and be 'normal' to bottle up her feelings and to keep going on.
As if her father would make it that easy however as because her mother was gone. She was placed in the constant care of her abusive father and his 'friends' where she was made to dress smartly and to keep her hair short so she could never have anything worth styling, so she could only focus on her studies and if her grades ever fell below A+ she would be ruthlessly caned and then made to cover up her injury, because if her father found out she'd have to be caned again because she didn't learn her lesson.
Those years of hell taught her how to fake being polite and happy and to meet peoples demands. She was the definition of the perfect worker, she operated for the good of the whole and not for herself. Regardless of how terrible she felt internally, she still clang to living above all else. A sort of somber revenge.
When it came to SAO it was only recently, In the more recent years she had gotten her own apartment and had lived apart from her father, she still beat herself up for the failures he would beat her for and she generally lived as a quiet worker who didn't raise her head up against company policy when she worked. At her clerk job, a couple of people were talking about this new immersive virtual reality experience and how they really wished they could afford it and that when they could they'd get together as a party.
Mirri saw her chance in this and using her accumlated wealth from juggling her main job and her part time occupations, she brought the nervegear and this new game and awaited for the game to be released, while doing research on its many mechanics and things before it even started. Crawling through the beta testers written information and reading the developers comments. It was safe to say it was one of her more fun assignments and when it came to the first day release she logged on and inputted her username.

PERSONALITY: ~Pervy sarcastic asshole with zero charisma.~
Salacious_Saviour, who goes by Sal for convenience's sake, was kind of a loser IRL. He lacked confidence, shrouded his true personality in barbs and a prickly exterior, and generally acted like a sourpuss whenever somebody tried to dig beneath the surface. Nothing much has changed in joining SAO, except Sal's confidence in his ability to beat the game, and thereby attract feminine attention have dramatically increased. Being in a power fantasy will do that. Unfortunately, he expects very little of himself, and quite a lot of others, and his bitter tone and mannerisms oft-rebuffed will always take him by surprise, since he thinks his way of interacting with others is simple and easy to understand. In a life-or-death scenario, Sal will most likely quip about how worthless everybody is, and then drag himself to the frontlines while trying to ogle any busty women whom he might cross paths with. His main motivation for playing the role of tank is to impress and stroke his own ego.
BACKGROUND: ~Bootlegged the game with his friend's stolen NerveGear, and got WAY THE HELL more than he bargained for.~
Coasting through life since he left high school, Sal was running a small-time gaming store alongside his less-than-scrupulous co-owner. Their little hole-in-the-wall games place was known for having the shady, rare, and hard-to-acquire items. And so it was that when the NerveGear craze started up, Sal was hardly shocked to find that his business partner and sometimes friend had rigged up a hacked version of the game connected to the actual game server. At first, Sal was adamant that he would not risk frying his brain playing a faulty NerveGear.
It took the promise of two pizzas and a week's rental of the nice gaming chair to convince him otherwise. And with that, Sal's adventure in the world of SAO began. With an eagerly spectating business entrepreneur as his only supervisor, alongside distant parents he'd estranged.
