@Chasebloodcrest

@rocketrobie2 hmm. I think I'd like to keep to the framework available as much as possible, but if something makes sense in the situation then it could be allowed so long as it's not gamebreaking. Blowing up the bridge is fine in a mission like this, for example. But it couldn't be blown up in the "Defend the Bridge" mission.

@CollectorOfMyst Aaron Goldfeld checks his compass and finds a safer way to navigate the next room. Redraw Token: 1 Door, 1 Encounter using your Tracking Ability?

Personal Item: Compass cannot be used again until the next Adventure.

I actually did flip a coin, Alexus, because Aaron was with technically with neither group before. But can't really do much, now. I'll keep the current token, Mae.

Also, could these tunnels theoretically go on indefinitely? Since we need a total of 2 clue tokens, and if that were to not happen for quite a while... well, it also slightly peeves me that I don't know what's in the tunnel branching off from Room C, even though it's so close to the entrance.

@CollectorOfMyst Luckily, not indefinitely ^^! It's only possible to draw 12 Rooms maximum (the ones that have the Exploration Tokens on them). There are currently, 8 Tokens left for this mission. As for corridors (Corner pieces, short passageways, T Junctions and Cross paths) there are more of them then there are rooms, though again not an infinite amount. I'd have to count how many, though.

It is possible to fail a mission from getting unlucky with the room draws/Exploration Tokens and not finding enough clues, like you suggested, though. The larger the mine gets, the deeper you explore, the harder it is to keep the evil Darkness contained in the mine, but the more potential experiences - and thus rewards - you might find.

This is all based on this mission type, though. There are alot of missions with Fixed Map layouts that follow very different rules.

Anyway, I'll set the new room up for you guys now~!

EDIT: Lol chores

Please Note: Forgot to check the room fits against the map before I drew the token for you guys since I was excited, so it should of been a passageway in all likelihood. Anyway, for now I've just blurred out the overlap, but if it becomes a problem I'll have to move the maptile round or add in the passage. This is entirely my bad, but hey, you live and learn :P

If we decide to move it, if you are on the Maptile just revealed you can stay put and it won't effect anything. Similarly, if I have to add in extra maptiles, this won't effect how powerful the Darkness is currently (so the passageways will be attached to this room as if they were all just one room) Most importantly though: THIS ROOM DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE MINING ROOM

The Excavation Chamber

It's unclear what's inside...

@CollectorofMyst@rocketrobie2 Would Aaron Goldfeld or Father C like to reveal the room contents immediately?

If no one reveals the room this turn, it will be revealed at the end of the round. Anyone who moves into the room will automatically reveal what's inside.

Movement:
@Duthguy Dan can move 1 more this round, he is staying put for now, but free to change his mind if he wishes.
@rocketrobie2 Father C can move 1 more this round.
@CollectorofMyst Aaron Goldfeld can move 1 more this round. He has used his action.
Scare, the Law Holder is out of movement.
Pastor Jimmy is out of movement.
Hawkeye Harold is out of movement.

Discovery 1/1: Bandit Camp
You see the remains of an old burnt out campfire and a tattered sleeping bag. Someone has been camping out here, deep in these treacherous mines. As y'all think over who would be crazy enough to do such a thing, you hear a quiet click...

All Heroes, prepare yourselves!

Disable the Trap!

Hawkeye Harold finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He gains 10 XP!
Dan finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He gains 10 XP!
Father C finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He gains 10 XP!
Scare, the Law Holder finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He gains 10 XP!
Pastor Jimmy finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He gains 10 XP!

Aaron Goldfeld looks around and wonders what his fellow adventures are up to. He has no determination to reroll his failed Cunning Test. Some crudely wired explosives explode underfoot! Father C is caught in the blast.

Aaron Goldfeld and Father C take 2 HP Damage!

The Bandit Camp

After the smoke clears, you realise there might be something of use to you here among the Camp. Perhaps you should take a closer look...

All Heroes, prepare yourselves!

Loot Some Dude's Hideout!

Hawkeye Harold, despite all his luck, fails to find anything. Spend a Determination to reroll?

Dan is just as lucky as Hawkeye Harold and fails to find anything, either. He has no Determination to reroll.

Father C finds something glittering among the dirt and ash! He receives 40 XP, 50 GP and 1 Darkstone.

Scare, the Law Holder has been itching to find some worthwhile loot since the Summoning Room. He receives 40 XP, 100GP as well as a further (1d6, 3 x 50) 150 GP. Spend a Determination to reroll 150gp gold amount?

Pastor Jimmy finds the boobytrap under his feet and manages to diffuse it. He receives 40 XP, 1 Darkstone, as well as an additional (1d3, 1) 1 Darkstone. EDIT: No determination spent

Aaron Goldfeld recovers from the hidden booby trap quickly, and vows to find something here to make up for his minor wounds. He gains 20 XP, 150 Gold and.... something a bit more useful!

Aaron Goldfeld Gains: Healing Herbs!
Discard to Heal 2d6 Damage from yourself or an adjacent Hero.

Father C moves into the room.

Movement:
@Duthguy Dan can move 1 more this round, he is staying put for now, but free to change his mind if he wishes.
@CollectorofMyst Aaron Goldfeld can move 1 more this round. He has used his action.
Father C is out of movement. He can Scavenge from his location.
Scare, the Law Holder is out of movement.
Pastor Jimmy is out of movement.
Hawkeye Harold is out of movement.

[Updating Inventories] - will confirm rerolls before adding those parts of the loot.
EDIT: Only one door on this token, fixed.

@Leaves prepping your character for when the next adventure starts, so everything is ready. If you're still interested by then, of course :D

Is this Dick Grant?

>Yes/No, actually he...
(Note: Please either confirm Dick Grant's appearance or let me know if you'd like anything about him changed before he is FINALISED FOREVER MORE.
Also let me know what you would like for his hair colour)

Being a totally sauve ladie's man, Richard is always prepared. Thinking ahead, he decides to bring his actual, real life BEAR CLAW in case he needs to show off, or perhaps just for luck. He looks in his sidebag: Now, what to pack?

Dick Grant packs...(Pick one)
>BANDAGES, to heal wounds during the journey ahead.
>WHISKEY, to steal himself against the horrors that await him.
>DYNAMITE, to throw at them b*stards when they rear their ugly heads.

Now, Dick's pretty skilled at tickling those ivories. He's got a particular trick up his sleeve he's picked up from his favourite Saloon...

>Acrobatic Dodge: You may move through other characters during your combat movement. One per turn, you may reroll one failed defense roll.
>Knockout Punch: Once per hit, you may double the damage on one of your attacks.
>Dirty Fightin': All of your attacks are +1 Damage.

@Mae According to the post history, Alexus did not, since it wasn't long after Asura left us, and they would assume direct control of Jimmy soon afterwards.

Also, damnit, I've got another character in my head and I know I can't make two. She'll just have to take a backseat, 'cause I'd enjoy the game just as much either way.

@CollectorOfMyst@PrinceAlexus ahh! I was worried for a second I'd missed a character sheet and you'd been waiting ages >< Thanks for the heads up, Myst!

Sorry for not making it clearer sooner, @PrinceAlexus. Feel free to make a new character if you'd like to, and you can switch to that character, if you wish, at the start of the next Adventure :D

Forgot about the encounter
>Aaron packs the herbs away in his side bag, before stepping forward to F2, and lightly smacking Father C upside the head, since it was his stepping into the room that triggered the trap... though, admittedly, Aaron was the only one to fall for the trap. He then proceeds to check the two of them for any injuries that might need healing.

@Mae Not a problem. I still don't know all there is to this game (but that's good; you may have noticed us asking more questions recently - this is us making feelers for our boundaries now that we know more than we did), but I can help out here and there; I've ever been particular, and it had been niggling me a little that this might have been Jimmy's last adventure (it still could, you never know. Final boss could be so absurdly strong it breaks the rules and kills him in the tutorial mission). That said, glad to see that Jimmy'll be sticking around! (though I'd have gladly split Aaron's gold with your new character, since I assume you can't transfer a free character's gold)

Two more things; first, to my knowledge, the sheets on the front page are not up to date, since Aaron still has 10hp on that sheet. I had been keeping track with my own sheet (I copied and pasted into a word document) but lost track sometime around the battle. That said, what are Aaron and Father C's health at?
Second; because my mind is too overactive... can I request a second character? On the condition that only one of them can be adventuring at any one time, and they split the gold between them? That means I'll be gaining less EXP and money for better equipment, in exchange for the second character... I'm mostly making this request because Aaron now has this whole lore to his motivations and everything and the other character is a large part of it. I don't mind if you say no - you don't exactly get two player tokens in Monopoly. So... your thoughts?*goes to hide in a corner*

@CollectorOfMyst fixed. Aaron's at 8 Health, max sanity and Father C is at 10 health, max sanity.

You can play a second character. I'd also be happy with people playing multiple characters at a time so long as they have only one character per party. Also, if you have one character on a mission already, players without a character currently on a mission take priority getting a slot on the party.

The character's would have unique inventories, XP and gold though. You can trade with other players as normal, so long as you're not doing so to trade over gold/items to one character in particular.

Plus. Well Pastor Jimmy may not have gold but I have some dark stone.

So plus rewards. Well.. If I'm lucky and my Google fu is correct.

I can trade. Or sell it town and maybe get a pistol, upgrades or other things like a rifle.

I found I think was the game, and abit of info my curiosity was curious.

He has potential :)

>Father C is relived when he successfully defused the boobytrap though that relief was short lived as Aaron's explosive went off, hitting Charles with the blast too. After recovering Father C was met with a smack to the head which really got his blood boiling but he wasn't about to throw down with his group just yet.
