Failure: When travelling to town, add 1-6 extra Travelling Hazards to the journey. While in town, roll for daily events twice and take the lower result.


All we can do is hope that these guys don’t kill us. But one question I must ask is whether breaking the assault is the win condition, or if we have to clear the leftovers.

Well we weren't as ready for this mission as I thought, maybe we should all have spawned in room A despite it being dark there. Still not gonna give up


Like I said earlier, the bridge was the main choke point. With his range, Dan could shoot across the abyss no problem. Harold, and Dan or Jamie could have blocked the way across the bridge, with Charlie and Jamie healing. And it isn’t that hard to imagine that whenever a few of the monsters got out the pit one or two of us could have pursued and killed them before they got too far.

I swear to god if we get a chance to retry this...

@Scarescrow Also, Jamie is both a committed woman and not swinging that way. She won’t judge them for reasons, but she’ll have to decline their advances.

Once you get them chocked up. Heavy on the frags and try and thin out the rear ranks.

Only like one each, then with 4-5 that gives you 4-5 rounds of dynamite.

Or you can double up if a particularly nasty monster.
You still have room for 2 whiskey and 2 sets of bandages.

So that's 8-10 healing of each and 4-5 offensive actions

I did forget to do one EXTREMELY important thing last night and that was the Hold Back the Darkness roll at the start of the turn, before the Void Hound moves.

Since no one is the Lanternbearer for this mission, anyone may reroll the test if it fails.

You need to get 9+ to break the assault. Then you have to clean up the stragglers. Bear in mind - if you succeed at Breaking the Assault, no new monsters can spawn, including those waiting off map (so the Night Terror, Hell Bats, Slasher, Tentacles and Void Spiders) but you do have to clear up the ones on the board. They'll start behaving normally aka running round and attacking you.

Currently, Jamie has one determination and Father C has a determination, and so does Hawkeye Harold. But he probably wants to save his because he's seen flashes of his future involving alot of blood.

This is probably your best chance to win the mission and get delicious, delicious loot.

Thinking about it I should of wrote this post after I rolled. oh well. I've written it now so I'm leaving all this in for dramatic effct ;D

@DeadBeatWalking The Void Hound lashes out at Hawkeye Harold and strikes 5 times. He dodges once, but takes 8 Damage! Spend a determination to reroll ect.?

Also, that’s the wrong map. The Void Spiders already left (unless you reset?)

@CollectorofMyst The Void Spiders attack. The four so close to the exit, their victory stolen from them, screech and swarm at Jamie Hart. The first spider skids past her and misses completely. The second manages to nip at her heels, but she pulls away and the attack misses her. The third steals it's chance and hits her for 6 Damage! The final spider tries to get one last bite in but Jamie stomps it away from her. Spend a determination to reroll failed defense save?

The spider on the bridge seems intent on going after Dan, for some reason. It skuttles up behind him and hisses menacingly, but fails to connect a single shot, as the rancher dodges nimbly away.

The last Void Spider sneaks up behind Father C. It goes to take a bite but he shoos it back, giving it the evil eye. It hisses at him.

@CollectorOfMyst I reset back as the posse succeeded the Hold the Darkness test.

This means no monsters can leave and no new monsters can spawn.

It becomes a kill everything mission from hereon out :D

@DeadBeatWalking Since the map rolled back I'll need a new set of turn actions from you <3
