@pkken Eventually perhaps. Vega is much more aggressively solo at this point. Maybe further down the line, but for now he's not likely to cooperate except for on the fly. In the heat of battle he'll take any opportunity he can get, as dirty as they may be.

Alright, so I made some changes to Pan to hopefully bring 'em up to snuff. I focused on trying to make him more viable in combat while still keeping the whole theme of peaceful, non-violent fighter. Changelog below hits all the major points, but the full changes are just on the earlier posted sheet.

Pan 0.5 | Rework

• Changed all spell distances to meters from yards. Affects both Healing Roots Magic and Lesser Tree Magic. Brought Root Cage range in line with other spells.
  
  • Clean Mist from 15 yards to 15 meters
  • Regrowth from 15 yards to 15 meters
  • Tree Wall from 5 yards to 5 meters
  • Root Cage from 20 yards to 10 meters
  • Lesser Forest Treant from 10 yards to 10 meters

• Added spell "Magic Root" to Lesser Tree Magic. Serves as primary weapon in the form of the whip, as well as a means for the mage to extend the range of his other Lesser Tree Magic spells (not compatible with Healing Roots Magic). Adds 10-20 meter range increase (10 meters baseline, extendable up to 20 meters but removes usability of whip as a weapon) when in use, yet spells requiring physical contact with the mage will still require physical contact with the Magic Root.

• Added spell "Tree Merge (Storage) to Lesser Tree magic. Minor spell capable of hiding objects in trees.

• Added spell "Root Trap" to Lesser Tree Magic. Non-lethal delayed spell used to delay or contain foes. Requires set up. Five meter range base.

• Added spell "Root Trap (Lethal)" to Lesser Tree Magic. Desperation Move. A lethal variation of standard Root Trap. Capable of injuring victims, requires more minimum magic to cast, but lasts only half standard duration. Unlikely to be used in standard combat.

• Reworked spell "Lesser Forest Treant" to be channeled spell. Removed prep time. Lowered max trees from 5 to 4.

• Changed embedded Theme Song to extended version.

@Lord Sawsaw2 I think Dreadlin can put up with leadership. He may not want it at first for personal humble opinions, but he will most likely eventually warm up to it and share it with pride.

(And even with age, he may technically be 64, but in Lizardmen years he's equivalent around middle-aged... more in the late 30s and mid 40s when compared to humans.)

How does this sound then: Kyuuten and Dreadlin have been call-in additions to the team once or twice in the last few months, and with the present announcement, Illedrith will be asking them to join the team in a pseudo-permanent fashion for the forseeable future. As for team leadership, Illedrith will be pressing Dreadlin to take on a more leadership based role on the behest of Arianna in order to see him grow as part of the guild.

@Suku and @Ogobrogo, do you have a particular way that you want Saeko and Pan to be fitted into the team? I have a couple of simple ideas to make it all fit if you don't have any feelings about it, but it's entirely your prerogative to be fitted in as you see fit.

For you Golem's Hand fellows, if you can't think of a reason why you'd all be working together in a team before the announcement, an easy fix is that you were simply the only four individuals entirely without a team: Vega for being...Vega, Kazue because splitting money for jobs with people would be unacceptable, Jack because his old teams despaired of him just hurling himself at every vaguely threatening person on any given job, Damian because he was late to Delsin's announcement and there was no space on any of the other teams (I dunno, there's no reason he wouldn't have a team otherwise?).

Anyway, just a suggestion, feel free to request something of the NPCs if you think their intervention would be helpful for your character/team.

Considering all the characters, that's very likely. Vega would be going off on missions on his own anyways. If he works with anyone it's pure coincidence and that their jobs crossed together at some point.

Hey! Thanks for expressing interest. With almost all of the people who have expressed interest having approved characters, you've got in just in time to join at the start of the story! If you're happy for your character to be a Golem's Hand character (there's not really space in Harpy's Wing at the moment) then feel free to start work on a CS. Just be aware that the story will probably start ploughing ahead without you unless you're quick.

Alrighty, we're in the twilight hours of character creation now! I'll soon be posting up the first IC post, so make sure you've got your character at 100%, including opinions/relationships and a last check to make sure everything else is in order.

Feel free to keep up the conversation on how the teams work, since unless you draw blanks I'd rather leave that creative process up to you all; it's important for you to figure out why you're all working together if your teams are going to remain stable in the story for the long haul!

@Lmpkio Oh well I was thinking that in Jacks time as a mercenary he was hired by a few nobles who were interested in Dreadlin's race and had either captured them and gave them to the nobles as slaves, or killed them and taken their remains back so the nobles could do whatever they wanted with them. I was just thinking it could be a bit interesting and make for some good future scenes. What do ya think?

@Lord Sawsaw2 ouch, looks like I was waaaaaay too late considering the character I was currently working on was going to join the Harpy's Wing for... superficial reasons at first. Kinda sucks I have to drop him, but hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles!

I'm really glad I had the hunter d00d now. Good news is I can work with this, bad news is I have not worked on the Golem's Hand dude at all, so I have no idea what his magic will be, name, etc. Glimmers of personality here and there over being possibly the 2nd least assholish of the whole guild so far, but still.

So in a shellnut, I might be a bit... late on him since I'm in a bit of a rut. Anyways, I'll try my best to get him up as soon as possible.
