Liam decided to call home and have his cold weather stuff from home sent to him. His mother sent Florence the Blissey through the transport system while Liam briefly sent Bastille. Florence was sent with boxes of cold weather gear. Liam received them from her and thanked her. The hugged and Liam sent her back through the transport system and got Bastille back. He thanked his mother as well and returned to his friends with the gear.

Jen sighs silently sighs on her straw of her drink as she notices Liam with several boxes with winter gear in the boxes. She doubles checks her bag for her other winter gear in her bag.

Shiranui saw the boxes and that spurred him into checking over his gear.

"Thankfully, mom had a bunch just sitting around." Liam sat the boxes down on the table. "We just need to send them back when we are done with our business up there," Liam said.

“Thank you for letting us borrow your winter gear,” Jen says as she still have no clue what looks good on her or what kind of winter gear in the boxes. Her Rotem pops up wanting to help as Maui is still being heal by Nurse Joy.

"I'm all set." Chuck said, still in his normal gear.

Jen borrows a sweater and boots she found in one of the boxes, she went to change. She walks back to her friends as Maui jumps on her licking her. Aura puts Jen’s balls into her bag, “I am ready to get going.”

Shiranui collected his Pokémon, made some changes to his party and borrowed some white winter wear. "I'm ready," he stated once his preparations were complete.

Liam switched his clothes as well and was ready to go.

"Alright, looks like we're all set! Let's go!" Chuck said.

Shiranui nodded and started on his way to Mt. Lanakila.

Along the way, Trevor appears and says that he wants to challenge Liam to a one-on-one battle, it had been a while and he wanted to see how they stacked up. Liam agreed to the match.
"Florges, go!" Trevor called, sending out a white flower Florges.
"Poipole, it's time to shine!" Liam called sending out the Ultra Beast.
Trevor had no idea what Poiple was and called for Fairy Wind, a move that did very little to Poipole.
"This thing isn't a dragon?" Trevor asked surprised.
"Poipole, use Poison Jab!" Liam called. The attack landed directly but did not manage to poison the enemy.
"Use Psychic," Trevor called. Poiple was hit and his Sp Def was lowered.
"Toxic!" Liam ordered. The blob of poison landed on the Fairy-typed Pokémon and began to do its work. Trevor ordered a Psychic attack, but it missed.

Florges used Psychic, but missed and was hit with Venom Drench. Since Florges was already poisoned, its Atk, Sp Atk, and Speed were all lowered.

Florges used Psychic again and hit, putting Poipole in a dangerous position. Liam ordered Poipole to use Venoshock, which did double damage with the target already poisoned.

Both Pokémon were worse for wear, it seemed as though if Poipole took damage before the poison triggered again, he would lose.
Trevor called for Giga Impact, which Poipole just barely managed to avoid before doing a final Poison Jab to finish Florges off. Poipole began to celebrate and began to glow white. It grew bigger and gained a pair of wings. The three stingers on top of its head moved to the bottom and the middle stinger grew to a much larger size.

Liam thanked Trevor for the battle and made a mental note that he would need to send Poipole to Lusamine so she could get some data on it.

Jen nods as Maui barks and makes their way to Mt. Lanakila. Aura notices a sign warning them about all the hazards on Mt. Lanakila and tells Jen about the sign.

Liam also sees the sign, "Well there's safety in numbers, we should be fine if we stick together." Liam saw just before the entrance to the cave in the mountain stood a Pokémon Center. "It would probably be a good idea to stop in real quick, at the very least to let Lusamine get her data on Poipole's evovled form."

"I'm for that notion," Shiranui agreed while checking his Pokédex on the Pokémon in question.
"Naganadel, the Poison Pin Pokémon (alias: UB Stinger) and the evolved form of Poipole. One kind of Ultra Beast, it fires a glowing, venomous liquid from its needles. This liquid is also immensely adhesive."

Liam was intrigued when the information brought up that Nagandel was a dragon. Lusamine thanked Liam for the data on it and prepped the data to be sent to all of the professors to be added to the Pokédexes.

“I am up stoping by the Pokémon center,” Jen says as she instrest in the informationdata of Naganadel. She walks into the Pokémon center with Maui and Aura, she is surprise to see several hurt Alolan Vulpix. Jen is thinking there could be poachers or something else happen to the Vulpix.

Liam saw the hurt Alolan Vulpix as well. "The poor things," Liam said looking at them. One of them weakly looked up at him.

"What ails these Vulpix?" Shiranui asked. One of his Poké Balls opened and Zoro—his Zoroark—assumed the guise of an Alolan Vulpix before asking them what was wrong. Shiranui checked out the Vulpix on his Pokédex to get an idea of what they were like.
"Vulpix: Alola Form, the Fox Pokémon. They live together in a skulk, helping one another. Before eating their prey, they freeze it solid with their –50°C breath."
"These variants are even more social than their fiery cousins," he mused.
