@Holy Soldier This is the last time I'm going to respond to this, since you're now explicitly saying "if you don't share my opinion, gtfo", which is not how debates or discussions work.

The Test Forum is not only the 'unofficial world building forum'. If you'd actually look in there, you'd see a thousand other threads that aren't world building threads. Just wanted to clarify, since you seem to be running under the assumption that it's obsolete, and that "nobody uses it for its original purpose".

As I've said before, a world building forum is simply unnecessary right now. If it was to be made, how many people would actually use it? 4? Maybe 5 if we're feeling generous? Somehow, I doubt that Mahz would want to add another subforum that falls flat on its face and rarely gets used.

As for your complaints about the Character Sheet forum and Roleplaying Discussion being in the Off-Topic part of the site - it's a non-issue. Frankly, I'd like them to stay there. The Roleplaying section is for roleplays only, I don't want it to be cluttered up with discussion and character storage. Of course, that's my personal opinion that doesn't align with yours, so you're probably not going to listen.

Now, like Inkarnate asked, don't ping me or try to drag me back into the discussion. I'm done wasting my time with talking to a broken record.

Hardly. It takes two minutes for me to make a reply, in between preparing to go to work (speaking for this morning). I strongly believe that this change is not needed. You plainly believe otherwise. So long as we're both in this thread and replying (you replying to others, me making a response to you) then perhaps there is still something to talk about.

And really, if we ran out of things to talk about, the next step would be to bring in the silent supporters who have been utterly absent thus far. As I said to someone in PM on the same matter on discord,

This right here ^ is about you feeling like you're contributing to the conversation when you're trying to destroy it because you don't agree with this discussion even existing. Therefore, I offered that you not bother with it since you're clearly now just talking about how you are "replying" and not how you are replying to the topic "World-Building."

The supporters have refused to enter this thread because of the hostility you and the other players who normally troll the discussion forums have shown. They do not want to get involved. So when I was saying they would because it seemed like they would post, they chose not to because of the negative atmosphere. I am trying to get rid of that negative atmosphere to turn this back into a pleasant discussion whether people agree or disagree. Even with the former writers disagreeing, they were able to do so civilly. The people who have left so far were not civil and I'm glad they left. If you're the next one, then that just puts more positivity back on this discussion.

But I'm not going to continue to "entertain" you if you are offended. If I choose not to respond to you, then I'm sorry. It's something you'll just have to deal with.

You're pretending like only a few select people are disagreeing with you on this topic, while I've instead seen pretty much everyone voice their concerns on this proposed section and why it is a bad idea. I, too, am not in favor of cluttering the site with needless sections that have their purposes fulfilled elsewhere. Especially when the section in question is so niche it's hardly worth bothering with at all, as only Advanced-level roleplayers would even consider using it.

Though I don't have anything to say on the matter that hasn't already been said, you need to realise when you're fighting thin air. You're doing nothing but trying to shut down critique of your idea while failing to realise why it's a bad idea to begin with. You're so set in your ways that you don't see you're in the extreme minority.

Fact of the matter is, most of use, if not all of us, don't want this. You wanting this is not going to convince us we want it too. None of the arguments you have presented have convinced anyone other than yourself. You're not only making an issue of a non-issue, but you're also vehemently defending this issue like your life depended on it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the only one hammering a point insistently here? You are swimming against the tide but keep shout at the ocean to see if it'll get afraid and go out of your way.

You never have been nor ever will be a person open to discussion so don't lie that you don't want people to agree to you.

I could go out of my way to quote all of your threads, RP or not where you add a message more or less on the lines "You don't like what you see here? Gtfo, my thing is my thing and I am not going to compromise or change at all."

If this is not going to be a discussion that can be steered towards points that everyone here seem to agree with and thus would very much likely benefit the whole community instead of feeding your over-inflated, "awesome writer/masterful GM's" ego, what's the point?

Seconded. While I can't completely say that I don't find the act of trash talking people fun, there's the spam section for that.

This thread lost its purpose a long ago. The main points that a part of the public agrees with (more tabs and more GM functionality) are already requests done to Mahz a long time ago and more than once. When he gets the time to do it, he'll do it (or don't, laziness is a fatal vice, after all).

This really has no reason to exist anymore.

There's disagreeing and then there's trolling. Trolling is when you are no longer interested in contributing to the discussion and are just trying to get your way, ie. the shutting down of the thread, because "you" are done with it. This is an open discussion. It can be open just like all the other threads are open and you do not have to post in it.
