Virtue, a firm and habitual disposition to the good. Even in the Digital World, constructed of raw data though it may be, the concept of virtue has a hold. However, not even the digital is ideal. Consumed with pride, a lone Digimon, formerly an Angel-type, sought to posses the Digital World itself. For its insurrection, it was cast down to the Dark Area, whence there is no return.

Now, the Dark Area stirs, and the beasts within threaten to consume the light. Only the Crests of legend can protect the Digital World now...

Welcome! The aim of this RP will be, as implied above, a journey to the Digital World, wherein our characters seek out the Crests and vanquish a threat to the Digital World. However, it's not going to be as cut-and-dry as one might think at first. The goal here is to have flawed characters- ones who aren't the sparkling embodiment of the Crest which they eventually end up possessing. Quite the contrary, we are seeking characters who have to learn more about their aligned crest than others. The activation of the Crests should, ideally, be something that doesn't come easy, is a struggle for a character, and will take quite a bit of doing- not ideal at all in fact.
This way, we can create a dynamic, character driven roleplay, focused on interaction and development as well as adventure and action (if not moreso). Also, due to the more complex, mature way the story is being handled, characters will be older than they typically are in the Digimon anime, to differentiate a little, and so you don't feel like you have to pull any punches.

Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we? Digivolution paths can be pretty much anything within reason, from Baby to Mega, with a possibility for DNA Digivolution, and potentially an enhanced Mega stage. The Digivolution paths you choose should at least be thematically similar, but aside from that, the ball is in your court. The Digivice that will be used will be the Digivice 01, pictured below:



This Digivice will have all its appropriate functions- meaning facilitating Digivolution, Care of Digimon, DNA Digivolution, and the reversal of such (Partition), and the transmission of messages between Digivices and Digimon in the Digital World. Crests will be used to facilitate Digivolution above Champion level, and will trigger when the human character exhibits a set of behavior which is represented by their Crest. As such, when a Crest activates is up to the GM's discretion, and not that of the players.

Z stands at a tall yet slender five feet and eleven inches. Given the right shoes he's six feet. He typically wears a tshirt either white or black, black or blue jeans with a clean pair of running shoes topped off with his signature red and black jacket. A patterned bandana keeps his hair from falling over his face.

Bio: Laid back to a fault Franky enjoys letting things happen. Run its natural course. Or let it slide. He doesn't believe in things working out for the best. He has a here and now view of life. What you can enjoy here and now is all you can hope for. This is due to his past of being deceived by his friends for years.

Having moved to a new town he didn't know anyone and so he made friends with those he could. He was awkward growing up yet had high hopes of being popular. He began hanging with a bad bunch of kids. A real messy group from broken homes. His parents were together so he was the odd one out and was constantly picked on for it. This ruined his young social life. However as he kept hoping he kept pursuing his dream of being popular.

In the end he was humiliated over and over losing all friends in the process. Now he lives as a loner finding that hoping for things has only brought his misery. Instead only go for sure fire things. That's his motto. He works at a gas station.

Welp, after a bit of thinking and quite a few distractions, I have the CS filled out.

Moito 'Mori' Kaenza

Name: Moito 'Mori' Kaenza

Age: 19

Crest: Friendship

Appearance: Mori stands at a fair five foot, eleven inches tall while weighing in at just over a hundred and eighty pounds. His bodybuild is solid with a good amount of muscle, though his stomach does have a bit of chub. His hair is short-cut and almond brown, with dark grassy green eyes. It's notable that Mori tends to have a bandage across his nose; Though if it's there for a functional purpose or for his own aesthetic nobody really knows.

His preference of clothing consists of tanktops with waistcoats paired with jeans or cargo shorts in warmer weather, while switching to hoodies, heavy coats, and jeans specifically when the weather gets cold. He has a preference for keeping his feet bare when able, but outside of a few specific places, he's usually wearing his dirty black track shoes. Notable accessories include a shoulder backpack to carry his essentials, and a silver chain around his neck with a medal attached; The medal being usually hidden under his shirt due to personal preference.

The medal, if anyone was to get a look at it, is a second place medal. Though the competition isn't specified anywhere on it.

Bio: Moito Kaenza is a single child from a middle-class family. Despite the workaholic lifestyles lived out by his parents, his mother had wanted a child; Bringing Moito into a world of babysitters to watch after him while his parents were away. While his babysitters did care for the necessities, Moito was left to his own devices for the most part to observe, learn, and form into his own person. When his parents were home, they'd try to bond with him the best they could; At least when they weren't sleeping their spare time away.

As Moito grew older, he became more self-sufficient. By the age of ten Mori was alone at home each day after arriving from school, growing used to his secluded life style and forming a shell when it came to socializing with others. Moito didn't accept help, always saying he could handle things himself. Which he usually could, though even when it came to being paired with other people in school activities he didn't show much in the way of being a team player. He wasn't usually rude, by any means, but he had a unfiltered thought process and attitude, leading to him getting into fights. And despite having to learn how to throw a punch on the fly, he was actually fairly good at it.

A few busted noses lead to the boy ending up in therapy for what they claimed were anger issues. They suggested that Moito needed an outlet, and that lead him into a boxing club. He was distant with the people there, often having a preference for training by himself and only getting near others when it was time to spar in the ring. The closest thing to companionship Moito had in the club was his rivalry with the top boxers, and an urge to overcome them as the best. But no matter how hard he tries, the top dog of the club always beats him down.

He's stuck at being a number two, and he doesn't like it. He believes he can do everything by himself, but in reality trying to work at everything in life alone will tear a person apart and ruin their true potential. It'll take a serious situation to bring change, and allow Moito to learn the benefit to working with others towards goals in life. But thankfully such a situation is on the horizon.

Personality: Proud, honorable, and always in search of comradery, he takes great pride in defeating opponents and is always seen on the front lines. He considers himself a hero, and tends to talk in old english / shakespearean. Some might consider him a glory hog or a fool, but none of his traits are jokes; He's 100% serious in everything he does.

Notes: I may find a Digimon to change this, but I'd like to eventually work Moito's Partner Digimon into taking the Trial of The Four Great Dragons to obtain this Mega form. Even if it's a self-written single post arc for me to do later where he obtains the form and the Fragarach sword, developing the Ryuzanken style as well. If you guys don't want this, I'd happily take new Mega suggestions.
Technique-
1: Heavenly Dragon Slash Ripper ~ Accelerates Fragarach with a spin of its body, and then drives it vertically through the opponent's skull, cutting them in half. This is the first form of the fencing technique, Ryūzanken.
2: Rising Dragon Slash Wave ~ Refines a dragon wave with Fragarach, and then releases it pointing upward, slaying the opponent from the sword's pressure alone. This is the second form of the fencing technique, Ryūzanken.
3: Biting Dragon Slash Blade ~ Steps in close to the opponent, and then curls Fragarach around them, shaving off their whole body with the entwined sword. This is the third form of the fencing technique, Ryūzanken.

Alex Honda

Name: Alexandra "Alex" Honda
Age: 21 (Physically 13)
Crest: Reliability

Appearance

Barely reaching four feet and three inches, Alex's stunted growth has given her a very boyish appearance in stature and in face, having a very angular facial structure, short brown hair with lighter highlights, bright yellow-green eyes, and pale skin. Often compared to a porcelain doll, Alex is normally dressed in clothes that will fit her, thus making her sometimes appear even younger. She's a fan of long sleeves ad baggy clothing.

Bio: Alex had always been the type of person who was independent and dependable. If anything needed to be done, leave it to Alex to get the job done. Even at such a young age, Alex was busy babysitting the rest of her siblings and grabbing groceries for her parents. Unfortunately, things took a terrible turn as, before Alex or anyone even noticed it, Alex stopped growing. Her parents knew that she appeared to be growing at a much slower rate than her siblings, appearing much more under developed, but they didn't think anything of it until Alex turned 17 and still had the appearance of a young child.

It was later revealed that Alex had Highlander Syndrome, a medical condition in which the body ages at a very slow or an almost negligible rate. Once this revelation came to fruition, people started to treat Alex differently. They stopped having her help out around the house, and essentially treated her how they looked. People started to expect nothing from them, and soon Alex stopped expecting anything from themselves as well. It got to a point where Alex was having trouble doing things on their own and needed to rely on people help her. This sense of dependency caused Alex to fall into a spiral of over-dependency, asking for things she could normally do herself and blaming it on her condition as to why she couldn't.

@Rai Personally, I like it. It exceeded my best expectations. I see nothing that would stop the character from being accepted.
@Dusksong There's fluidity. Though it came across as "isn't kind but pretends to be". Which is fine. But if I may provide a non-binding example of the "corruption" of a trait method for Kindness, I'd suggest the following:
A character is "nice" insomuch as they are pleasant, but with the bent that he/she is basically a doormat/pushover in a way. Having the character think they're "nice", only for it to be a banal passivity from wanting to avoid trouble and not speaking up about certain things to avoid "inconveniencing people". Another way to spin it would be for their actions, which would be kind under normal circumstances, to be only a "pattern", and not an active choice, meaning they're not actually doing it out of a genuine desire, but only because it's what they always do.
@Raddum Despite the delays, that was pretty fast nonetheless. Once you get your Digimon personality, you should be good to go. In regards to Blaze: Sonic Breath, I don't have a problem with the velocity. Especially because it fits with being ignited breath, if choked flow could cause enough pressure to compress the air to ignite things around it, akin to meteor fall. Metal Greymon fires what is effectively a nuclear missile, anyway. In regards to Slayerdramon, you don't need to take species fluff that seriously (especially because it typically refers to naturally occurring Digimon/Digivolutions and not partnered Digimon). That being said, if you want to have something akin to that take place, cool. I'm sure we can work something out. If you feel, when the time comes, that it doesn't fit, then you aren't beholdent to it.
Also, minor physics glitch- if one is 5'11", and around a hundred pounds, they'd be rather waifish, bordering on emaciated, I'd wager. Close to dangerously underweight though. Based on the build you described, he'd be closer to 200 pounds, depending on exactly how muscular he is. Like 200 would be lightly but noticeably muscled. I should know, I'm 5'11" myself. Side note, digging the Digimon choice. it's straightforward, but not one I see a lot.
@Tenma Tendo Interesting, and a lot better than what I had thought would come of it, I'll admit. I am intrigued with how Alex will play in the RP. However, there may be a sticking point when it comes to the Rookie stage, so I was wondering if that was negotiable for you or not. There's also the- well, it's a minor pet-peve of mine, that your character's image appears to be that of an anime character that isn't that obscure. I don't have the deepest of anime knowledge, so I'm just guessing here. Now I could normally let it pass, but there's the mild issue that the pictured character's name seems to mean lapislazuli and your character's last name is lazuli.

Also, just an observation, we have a somewhat high density of dragons.

I'll have the personality for my partner and some weight adjustment done in a bit. Think he fits around the 180 mark. Good to know everything else went over smoothly with you. I'll see how Moito's partner develops before getting to Mega before I make any solid decision on him partaking in the Trial; It's nice knowing that we can possibly fit that in there as a fun plot point later down the line!

Though a note on my Digimon; If there's too many dragons, I am not beyond changing up my partner if you'd like more diversity. Glad you like the choices I made, however.

Something like MetalKoromon>Kapurimon>Kotemon>Gladimon>Knightmon>Crusadermon. It actually goes better with his personality and speech patterns, upon looking into it. What do you think?
