Y'know, as bad as the Clone Saga and the Symbiote infatuation were, I'll still take 90s Spidey over modern Spidey. My vote is for someone within the DC or Marvel universes, because that'd be considerably less cartoonish than reality at the moment.

Do we want an anti-metahuman or pro-metahuman president, however? We could easily have Trask as a Trump analogue or even Senator Kelly from the X-Men comics as a less analogue-ish yet still scary precedent.

Mostly because of low sef esteem and constantly second guessing myself. I usualy mask it with sarcasm and a dash of wit, neither of which translate to my online persona.

Then that person will have effectively used speed against you, and therefore proven themselves unbeatable as The Flash.

No, but seriously, I doubt you'll have anyone do that. Your app only has a few hours to go and Iris as The Flash is, admittedly, a concept that's hard to beat in terms of originality.
