Alright, most of you in chat already know what's up. We have a Bakers Dozen approved and ready to go for RP. Opening scene will be posted Monday/Tuesday. (Most likely Tuesday as I have 4 updates tomorrow.) - With the opening scene will come starting places, scene, weather, ambiance, etc. Counters will start once the opening scene is posted and you will have the standard 7 day counter. Any special notes about the opening scene will be posted here in the OOC for reference.

This is a new style for many people I know, do NOT worry I will walk you through any questions and concerns as we get situated and settled into the RP rhythm. I am pretty sure I have had everyone that has been approved for the Rp message me with how they will be arriving, if you haven't dropped me a line by now about that today so you are marked down.

I am in the middle of getting together the opening IC/OOC/PM's together as we speak. It will all go up and be sent either today or tomorrow at the latest. We are almost there! Thank you to everyone so far who has put together characters. I know you don't know what the others are up to with their characters but trust me, we got some good shit coming your way. ^_~

And we have begun. Was that opening post a little shorter than you were expecting? Yes, it is in comparison to most I write. There is reason for that. I am sure those that were approved for the RP were well aware of the number of rolls I made. Much of those rolls were to determine a vast amount of things that are going to affect the RP. Most they were to see how things fell into place. Thing is, most of that has NOT been posted about. Yet. And I will not be posting for it. I will be sending each of you privates messages shortly to let you know little tid bits.

Now, as you start getting your replies together I want you to remember a few things - Anything you attempt must be rolled for. Those numbers are not there just to look pretty. Neither are your skills. Use them, even your basic abilities. I suggest to start you ask about anything that even hints at needing a roll. It will be easier that way instead of having to go back and need an edit later.

One big thing I want to remind you of. The forum rules. This RP is twisted but the forum only allows through pg-13. So watch yourself. Especially when it comes to describing things of a more personal nature. I will not have this turn into a smut fest that gets shut down. So do NOT make any overly crude and blunt mentions of private areas. If you wonder, message me privately. Please make sure to go back and reread the section under Game Mechanics labeled The Dice for instructions. I don't want to waste time answering questions that would have been avoided with a simple read through.

Some of you are arriving on foot, others by horseback, and others by carriage. Here is a list of how each character is arriving.

Those in carriages - you either drove them here yourself or had 1 person driving for you. If you had someone with you, they can either walk back home and leave the carriage or take the carriage with them. They will not be allowed in the gate.

Those on horseback and on foot - oh, what a treat for you. I wonder how many of you took into account this is winter? The season was on the invitation and weather was posted for in appendix 12. Oh those little details are a bitch aren't they? How hard it was for me not to point that out but I am a very cruel mistress and this RP is about evil and suffering and all types of shenanigans. It wouldn't have been exactly fair to coach people through that. Don't worry, things will be included in your pm. Some of those rolls were to see if you bundled up or not. ^_~ Let's see how many passed!

Do remember to use your headers when you start posting. They are in appendix 6. Change out the color code rosybrown to your personal color code. Place in your Alias under character name. Under skills - you will write in anything you get a roll for. If you didn't get a roll for it, place N/A. Location for your first post will be Shadowell Forest: Front Gate This will change as your character moves. Make sure to place your Max HP next to current hit points. This will change as you take damage. Make sure to check all the rules for the header in Appendix 6.

One last note. I know this Rp is housed in the advanced section, that is only because of the complexity of the OOC and game mechanics. It has NOTHING to do with expected post length. I know many of you are going to be tempted to go overboard. It is expected. The minimal posting amount for this is 2 well developed paragraphs. Thing is, it would do me and everyone else involved a lot of good if you tried your best not to make your posts too terribly long. We do have over a dozen active PCS - that is a LOT of information to keep up with during a counter. Try to keep your posts well developed but clear and concise as well as you write. Try not to guild the lily too much. It will make for much more enjoyable game play over the long haul, make posting on you easier if you don't have to read a wall of text constantly and make far less get missed by yourself and others. Especially when calling for rolls. Not to mention the more internal monologue you reveal the harder it is going to be to keep shit a secret.

@Gordoth @Romero - Said this in chat but just to be sure it doesn't get missed - I need you both to edit your posts and put your characters text in color code - this is part of the rules and layout of the rp. Sorry I didn't catch it sooner when you sent me the posts, that is on me but I still need the edits.

Also, @Gordoth I tagged you in chat but chat has been a bit busy - you have a secondary edit to make. I corrected it when I sent your post back but you UNfixed it. That header is wrong, go back and fix it to where it should be - like it shows in the post I sent you back. (You don't have to worry about moving your post to SI this round, I did it since Romero needed to be able to post his. You will have to next time though.)

New Chat Area: Please note that there is a new chat room on the server titled Reminders. I will tag people there if something comes up so it isn't lost in other chats. Others are free to use it to remind people to move their posts over to SI so it isn't lost in the chat mix. (Only post a single reminder to a person and only post to remind to move to SI please)

I will remind for counters there but do note I don't always remind for counters. In fact I rarely do, so don't use it as a crutch. Also, make sure to check chat DAILY - that is required in the rules so you can see announcements and the like. Always check before you post!
