@rocketrobie2 I would uh, not have done that if I were you. Standard current-gen consoles are apparently hit the worst with the performance issues borderlining on unplayability. Godspeed comrade.

@LetMeDoStuff You should be in a half-decent spot. I'm running on some pretty beastly hardware. 1650 Super ought to do 1080p60fps with good stability. The framerate stability is definitely the biggest issue right now, backed up by micro-stuttering on some hardware configurations (I suspect this has to do with insufficient VRAM).

That's more or less what I want to hear. Not trying to hit it on max settings anyway so I'll be pretty happy. A few of my friends have been playing it so far and haven't actually encountered that many issues, and emphasised that they were having a lot of fun, which is all I can ask for really. Can hope for some optimisation patches by the time I get back to my PC on the 27th

Lowkey though, there's some decent game shouts here. Ark 2 and its animated series is an interesting reveal (David Tennent in the series is kind of a selling point)

There was that South Korean fantasy Witcher style game that looked pretty awesome. Darktide too, so maybe we can get another good year of games next year

Hopefully it's not as glitchy and just plain odd as Andromeda. I was never a huge fan of the ME games but I thought Andromeda had some potential to build some interesting stuff off of the main series story...until

It’s what needed to be done to keep the franchise alive. Andromeda was a failure. A sequel to the trilogy is how you bring back the whole fanbase and maximize hype. As someone whose favorite game series ever is ME 1 - 3 I’m cautiously freaking out (if that makes sense?). I don’t have a ton of faith in BioWare these days but if they put their full effort and talents behind a fourth ME game then it might be damn good. No idea what story avenue they’re gonna pursue, how you follow up the Reapers.

But there’s all kinds of little bits they snuck in that teaser. The smashed up relays, the busted up citadel, the Reaper corpse, the three figures in the back that look salarian, human and krogan. Also of course Liara, means we’re back in the Milky Way but no telling how far after 3. I wouldn’t suspect too far but no one but BioWare knows for certain and we probably won’t hear any more info about the game for awhile. Just the fact it is in production will be enough to bring a lot of interest back to the franchise.

Let me get off my takes here and I'll get back to writing.

I'm okay with Sephiroth, I would have preferred Tifa but he makes enough sense I suppose.

Cyberpunk 2077 is aggressively average. Even if there wasn't a single bug it's essentially a futuristic Far Cry spin off with Fallout 4's dialogue and shooting.

The Last of Us 2 was a good game but it won too many awards. Ghost of Tsushima got shafted in a couple of categories. I'm glad Abby won the best performance though.

How can you announce Ark 2 when Ark 1 is still in pre-alpha?

I don't know how to feel about Mass Effect '4'. The trilogy was good for what it was but the story ended. Even if Andromeda was good it would have still been unnecessary.
