@Eviledd1984 Yeah, that's kinda the whole thing with jump-ins. Says it when you hover your cursor over it, even - "Players can join and begin posting IC without GM approval."

edit: but then again, she did have an outline of what was acceptable for the RP in the very first IC post. If you stick to what's here, it'll probably be alright.

Genre: Fantasy. Low-Magic. Medieval. 18+.
What is Low-Magic? Low magic means there are no D&D-esque fireball flinging wizards. There might be a Gandalf or two running around the world being mysterious, maybe even the rare enchanted artifact. Hell, elves live to be several hundred years old. Treat magic as mysterious, unknowable and rare af and it's all good!
Setting: The City of Tamberle , a.k.a the city of bridges
Info Acceptable races include: Orcs, Elves, Dwarves etc. tropes are OK , but I always encourage unique ideas. When joining, be sure to include your name and appearance. It's also ok to create new scenes in different locations, but always consider what has come before and what other players have already written. Also, don't be a dick :)

Ima say it again, I think we'd do well to just take control of the whole thing. GM has been gone for a month, at at least some of our characters have good, driving quests they can try do. Even more so if we get queeny captured or killed by Hark.

Like there's so much we can do without the GM. We just need to take control of their character

But yeah, we all seem pretty well responsible and reasonable, so I reckon collective GM effort until Poly shows up again. I don't like advocating this, but it has been a month

I don’t advocate killing off her character, but making her MIA would be best.

Frankly I had the idea that shortly after the king took on the crown there’s be a country wide coup anyways. Different lords who don’t support his ascension break off and try and defend their lands or take over enemy territory. This would easily get my orcs involved since they want to retake their ancestral homelands too and need to find support with different human lords (this is pretty much the reason why Malakaus is here in the first place) so we can easily turn this into a civil war fantasy with different characters fighting for their own side and ideals.

We can still have various noble lords and ladies if we need them too. No doubt there’s plenty of vassals worth the throne now that it’s been forcefully taken. Who knows, maybe even one of us could become the new ruler.

I like to think of it was holding the throne until the rightful heir arrives, kinda like what’s happening in the RP right now.

In any case I do propose this for the sake of moving events along: a small timeskip of about a week, in which during that timeskip Maren vanishes. None of our characters know where she is or what happened to her except that she’s not in the country anymore and she’s not dead. At the same time various uprisings and battles breakout throughout the kingdom between various factions, which we may or may not end up being involved in.

This way we can reposition our characters into different places as it suits us. Naturally we can also make some minor lords and nobles who we could employ ourselves or each other with. I’ll likely make a few like commanding Bernard Dowson and maybe a few upstart warlords. Of course there’s other adventure to be had too, such as monster infestations and such. Bandits and deserters robbing villages and caravans, all sorts of things.

For your sake I was actually thinking that perhaps in the chaos of everything going on she left you a note about her leaving, giving you your final payments as a bodyguard, and maybe a plot hook towards some sweet loot. This way Crassius as a character is no longer obligated to stay and search for Maren while Poly is MIA.

Yo I'm jumping on this. The biggest thing I have planned for Monika is the quest to find Georges, so maybe Maren's disappearance has something to do with that?

I was thinking some kind of secret order who I have ideas for but think it'd be better to reveal these as we progress (if ya need to know though, ya need to know. Can share)

Like... if she leaves a note she even disappeared in a similar way. I think that's a pretty strong connection.

Well we got Skurr, Cassius, Dmitri, Malakaus, Jeremiah, Hark. Then the maybes are El and Yumi, I'm fairly sure El is still in though?

As for what's going on...

There was a siege, this is now morning after, we, the good guys, won. Afterwards, Dmitri, Cassius, and Skurr went looking for survivors and found Monika, bringing her back to the chapel.
Meanwhile, Hark and El are doing their thing with Malakaus, also winding up near the chapel iirc
