So, I've been trying to figure out my plans for next season given the fact that I had weeks of inactivity here during the Crisis. After a bit of soul searching, I have decided that I will not be moving forward with Captain America. I chose Steve because I thought it would be interesting to write Steve in a sort of spy thriller style, but the story started getting muddled in my head as I began writing Steve in the larger world. That said, I have two more posts involving Steve planned, and my goal is to have his season end in a shocking event rattle SHIELD to its core. I would love to see someone pick up the character and do as they please, and I wanted to thank everyone for giving me a space to work out that story in a larger shared universe. The only villain I am hoping to transfer for this next season is Taskmaster, who I have plans for in Roy's upcoming season.

I have had my eyes on another character for quite some time, and I've always wanted to take a crack at writing him. Therefore, as I move to retire Captain America as Season 1 ends, here is a new character app I want to put forward in preparation for season 2.

The idea for this concept of Tony is to stick to the themes of Sep's former concept to try and keep the continuity to an extent. It's been months since the Trasnia situation, at which time Tony never even piloted a suit into the crisis directly. Tony will start the season near absolute rock bottom. He will lose control of his company, his closest friends will steal his technology, and his only hope at stability is to sign on as a contractor for SHIELD.

The goal with this character is to blend both the popular MCU version of the character while keeping in mind some key comics storylines. This Tony is the same one who would ship Banner out into space to get rid of him, and the same Tony who would be willing to destroy other worlds with the Illuminati to save his own. While he may view himself as a savior, the truth is far more complex.

Despite being around for years, Iron Man was uncontested on the world stage. He was able to dispose of his weapons without much resistance from either terrorist organizations or world governments. It was only a matter of time until others began to replicate his technology, or other scientists began to develop their own ways to achieve the same level of Fame and power as Tony Stark. Unfortunately for them, there's only one invincible Iron Man.

Tony Stark has always been a fascinating character to me. He's a hero without powers, and who didn't have to train with a league of secret assassins to be a hero. My plan for Tony is to lean in to his flaws, especially in the beginning. He's a hard partier past his physical prime, impossible to work with professionally, incredibly inconsiderate, and has a serious god complex. Despite his shortcomings and large ego, he will have to step up when his friends and the world need him most.

This season will see Tony as down and out. Serious threats begin emerging on the world stage to challenge the Iron Man. In Eastern Europe, Werner Zytle's rebel force (called Vertigo) has begun gaining traction following their use of both old Stark weaponry, as well as new tools of destruction that were merely plans before the Stark Industries weapon division was destroyed. Other geniuses have begun working on developing suits of armor to rival the Iron Man. And, most importantly, the Ten Rings organization sits in the shadows as they await their chance to destroy their biggest threat to world domination.

James "Rhodie" Rhodes: A Major in the United States Air Force, Rhodie and Tony were friends since the latter's brief stint in military school. Rhodie was one of the few people who ever treated the Stark prodigy like anyone else. He doesn't put up with Tony's bullshit, and his no-nonsense attitude is what earned Rhodie the position he has in the US Armed Forces.

Harold "Happy" Hogan: Tony's longtime driver and bodyguard, he once was an amateur boxer before he retired. Happy has a rather dour expression most days, and is incredibly protective of his employer.

Virginia "Pepper" Potts: Once Tony's personal assistant, Pepper has quickly risen the ranks in the Stark Industries executive ladder. Pepper Potts is currently the acting COO of Stark Industries.

Armors

Mark I: Currently Destroyed. Limited capabilities, and designed to escape a cave in Afghanistan.

Mark II: Designed solely as a "test model" to prove an armored weapons system was viable. It was not outfitted with weapons, and had limited flight capabilities. Was scrapped and re-designed into the Mark III.

Mark III: The first Iron Man suit to be mobilized in Tony's campaign to destroy Stark technology. It was used for the first year, until Tony decided that he could improve his design and incorporate the surplus of Stark weaponry in his warehouses. It was rendered inoperable.

Mark IV: The Mark IV was designed to provide minor improvements. After a near miss encounter with the United States Air-Force, the improvements included non-combat flares and improved thruster capabilities. Stark weaponry, including anti-tank missiles and "Taser Pellets" were added to make the armor more effective against various threats.

Mark V: An improvement that came only four years into Stark's crusade. Tony improved his arc reactor design for personal use. This new suit was faster, stronger, and had stronger repulsor technology than previous suits due to the improved energy output of the arc reactor design. This suit is the first to employ the "unibeam" weapon system, and a triangular "window" rather than the circular design of previous models. The suit is hidden away in Tony's remote workshop in the event of a disaster.

Mark VI: This suit was equivalent in power and functionality to the Mark IV, but was designed for mobile deployment. It has a limited range of weapon systems, as it is meant to be used in a pinch. This suit is stored in Tony's private jet for quick mobile deployment.

Mark VII: The "Emergency" suit was designed in association with emergency services. It uses the advanced Arc Reactor technology to increase the suit's strength and durability significantly. It was designed with no traditional weapon systems to instead allow for more power to be directed to increasing the suit's strength capacity, and to allow for the deployment of fire retardant.

Mark VIII: This Drone suit was the first suit designed for remote deployment. It doesn't have the expansive weapon's systems of most of his suits to cut on energy usage. It can either be piloted by Jarvis for limited functionality, or by Stark using a remote console.

Mark IX: Following Trasnia, Tony designed the "Football" as a result of his growing paranoia. This suit is always guarded by Tony Stark's personal driver and pilot, Happy Hogan.

Mark X: Tony's current suit, the Silver Centurion manages to combine the best parts of all the former Iron Man suits. It has the most developed weapon system, saves on power consumption significantly, and is the first designed entirely for mobile deployment. While most suits required some sort of guided suiting up procedure, the Silver Centurion can deploy remotely as a canister from Tony's private workshop. Once at it's location, the canister deploys the suit for use with a mobile suiting procedure.

Tony had a familiar smug grin as he leaned backwards on the couch, staring at the leader of the revolutionary government in Vlatava. He was savoring a glass of whiskey in the living room of his luxurious Malibu mansion, while his guest stiffened in his chair. "Zytle. Werner Zytle."

Tony rolled his eyes, waving his glass of whiskey as he continued. "Right, Zytle. Look, I'm a busy man, so let's keep this simple. I know someone is selling you Stark tech. And even if I'm not the CEO, you must be really dense if you thought I'm going to sit here while you use weapons that don't belong to you." Zytle did not appear to be amused or intimidated, and instead stared blankly as Tony took a sip of his whiskey before continuing. "So here's what we are going to do: You are going to tell me who is selling you and your rebels my tech, and I won't send Iron Man to kill you and your zealots."

Werner nodded his head, as if to weigh his options. He readjusted the ring on his left ring finger slightly, a smile forming on his lips. "I don't believe you understand the situation you are in, Mr. Stark. I came here to California because I knew you would want to speak with me and threaten me. Your arrogance, however... that will be your downfall."

Tony wasn't in a mood for threats. He set the glass down, smiling slightly as he opened his mouth. But as Tony tried to call out to JARVIS, he found he couldn't speak. And he found he couldn't move. Tony's eyes focused in on Werner, who was smiling as he continued twisting his ring. He moved from the chair to take a seat next to Stark, and whispered. "JARVIS, disable all security protocols."

Without a single moment of hesitation, Tony repeated him. "JARVIS, disable all security protocols." Werner smiled at this and stood up, walking out of view. Tony struggled, his heartbeat picking up as he found he had no control over his body or words. All he could do was sit there and listen to the door to his workshop open. After quite a bit of silence, the thunking of heavy footsteps could be heard coming from the downstairs workshop.

Tony watched in disbelief as Werner approached in the Mark Seven, with the helmut open and a smile on his face. The Mark Seven was by far the largest suit of armor, as it was built to be more of a strong tank than an agile weapon system. Werner smiled for a moment as he whispered something and the suit opened, allowing the revolutionary to step closer to Tony and chuckle. "I'm sorry that it needs to end this way, Tony. But I need to borrow this, and I can't have you hunting me down." Werner slowly unbuttoned Tony's shirt until his chest was exposed. Glowing in the center of his chest was an arc reactor, which the Count gripped on to and twisted. With a swift yank, the arc reactor was unplugged from the circuitry in Tony's chest. Werner gave a small nod as he placed it in his pocket and stepped back into the Mark Seven suit.

Tony didn't remember seeing Werner walk out of his house, or bash his way out of Tony's front door. Tony's vision was practically all dark as breath didn't come easily. His chest was on fire, and he couldn't get enough breath to actually speak as he felt himself regain control over his body. Tony simply cradled his hands over the hole in his chest where the arc reactor used to be as he felt the small pieces of shrapnel in his chest moving with every attempt to breath. The last thing he heard was the sound of jets flying overhead and the rotors of a helicopter whirring nearby. Then, the world went dark.

The point is, though, there are many still available. And those were purely based off of Avengers and Justice League members. There are even more outside of their rosters that can be picked up in this if people want big names.

I never said 'taken' or not, lol. Even if they aren't in the game, there are still takes on many of those characters in the thread's history, and I'd just defined 'major' by the biggest stuff I know, only really considering the main 7 leaguers (from JL/JLU) and the main 6 Avengers (MCU). Plus I was wrong even by my own arbitrary standard I was thinking of since I forgot the Hawks and Black Widow, so derp on that.

Yeah, I didn't include any that have been established in the IC even as NPCS, unless they were just dropped.
But, my post isn't entirely directed at you, anyway. There have been a lot of comments since I've joined, both here and in the Discord, saying most A-listers are used already despite that not being the case. It's just that the main three from each universe always get taken almost immediately.

What are your ideas for Supergirl and would they be able to work with the existing history of the character in the IC? Ideally, for Supergirl, I'd like someone to step in and resume the character where Inkarnate had left her, I'd be open to allowing the new player to make changes but preferably nothing that would contradict what's in the IC already.

Just to make sure but is Inkarnate ok with that cause I know some people might not like someone taking over their character. In the end it is your role play but just something you might want to consider.

Before the Big Bang, there was nothing. Now? I'm something else.

Two months after the Electrocutioner's attack, the life of Virgil Ovid Hawkins, geeky college senior, and Static , defender of Dakota City, have become inseparable from one another. College drama and gossip has become routine for Virgil Hawkins Meanwhile, Static has become a symbol of heroism within Dakota City by the locals and over the last month, has become heavily involved in the community of Dakota City, particularly assisting Freeman Community Center.

Things are changing within Dakota City. With the local city election around the corner, Virgil's dad, Robert Hawkins, leader of Freeman Community Center, is campaigning for the position of Mayor with a sizable majority of the city population supporting him. Current incumbent mayor, Mayor Jefferson, an old conservative who is controversial for his decisions that led to the Big Bang, is aware of the threat to his position. With whistle-blowers revealing a connection between Alva Industries, one of Mayor Jefferson's campaign funders and the Big Bang incident, Dakota City seems to be on the cusp on change.

In response to Stryfe's attack, metahuman activity has re-surged all over the country and super gangs that were once afraid of the Kilowatt Kid are now crawling out of the woodwork. The Rough Pack and the Blood Syndicate are tussling on the street with one another, claiming territory and turf in a feud that may rip apart Dakota City. The Night Breed continue to protest on the steps of Dakota's Municipal Office to seek a cure to their photo-allergic condition. All the while, Ebon, enigmatic leader of the Meta-Breed, watches from the shadows to take advantage of opportunities that come from the chaos.

Dakota City has become a powder keg waiting to go off. The future of this great city lies within the choices of one Virgil Hawkins, the Kilowatt Kid, The Defender of Dakota City, Static. Because in Dakota City, everyone always has a choice to make.

Continuing on from the finale of last season and the crisis itself, I feel that Static's story should continue to be the quintessential bildungsroman or a story of growth that naturally expands on the themes of responsibility whilst increasing in scale. Season 1 of Static focused on a fairly, personal story to ground out and characterize Virgil. This time, Season 2 will be be more epic in scale, focusing on Virgil dealing with the ramifications of the Big Bang on the social structure of Dakota City itself and the various factions that have been 'birthed' as a result of the incident.

Another concept that I want to explore more this season, which I left breadcrumbs and hints throughout Season One, is the concept of Black Lightning as Static's father. It's an arguably rare concept that I haven't seen explored in any DC comics about the sheer coincidence of the two existing in the same universe. In terms of how I want to explore Black Lightning, I'm primarily basing this version on Black Lightning: Year One and Cold Dead Hands with a twist of my own. What does it mean to live up to someone's legacy, especially when they're supposed to act as a parental figure to you?

//The Night Breed - A large group of Bang Babies who possess yellow-slitted eyes and a condition which makes them deathly allergic to sunlight. Currently inhabit the abandoned Dakota Metroway.

//Holocaust - Notorious outspoken militant pyrokinetic leader of the recently formed Blood Syndicate. Aims to bring order to the streets and expand the territory of his gang aggressively.

//The Blood Syndicate - A gang formed from the remnants of the two largest gangs that took part in the Paris Island Gang Bang - The Paris Bloods and the Force Syndicate. S E A S O N O N E S Y N O P S I S:

One month after the Big Bang, 18 year old Virgil Hawkins, has been secretly operating as the urban vigilante, Static. Suffering from the pressures of responsibility upon his shoulders as well as grief from the loss of his mother, Virgil wonders whether or not he should still continue to be a superhero. During one routine patrol of Hemingway, Static encounters an individual identifying himself as the Shocker who has been hired by Ebon, the leader of the Meta-Breed, to kill the local superhero. At the end of their bout involving improvised molotov cocktails and excessive use of vehicles, Virgil ends up with his powers severely crippled and a broken arm.

With the help of his best friend, Richard Foley, and a series of coincidences, Virgil finds out that his chemistry teacher, Harry Schumer, is actually Herman Schultz, the real Shocker who retired from the criminal gang known as the Squadron Supreme years ago. Throughout their conversation, Schultz reveals that a prototype suit of his was stolen by an unknown robber and that he wasn't responsible for Virgil's broken arm. Much to th Virgil's irritation, Herman tries to convince him to retire from superheroics, using an old anecdote involving his last mission with the Squadron Supreme where Larry Buchinsky, the Electrocutioner, murdered the Crimson Avenger during a bank robbery.

Taking a break from high-school and his vigilante escapades by having brunch with his step-father in Sadler's Shack, Virgil is introduced to his father's co-worker, Larry Buchinsky, much to his distress. Larry soon recognizes the tell-tale signs of nervousness and figures out through a series of clues that Virgil Hawkins is indeed Static. Confronting Virgil out of costume in his dorm room, Buchinsky offers Virgil a deal that he'll leave him alone in return for Virgil never engaging in vigilante action ever again. Unsurprisingly, Virgil refuses the offer and nearly dies if it wasn't for Herman saving him, once again returning as the Shocker. The ensuing fight between the Electriocutioner and the duo of Shocker and Static soon results in Virgil gaining his powers back and overloading Electrocutioner's newly upgraded armor with enough juice to fry a neighborhood.

After the arrest of the Electroctioner, Virgil resolves to become more involved within the community with a fresh perspective and fully embrace the role of 'Static', deciding to play an active part within the future of Dakota. Herman is arrested for his former crimes, albeit leaving on good terms with Virgil in spite of his criminal background being exposed to the public. Meanwhile, forces work and conspire to overthrow the system of Dakota City whilst a familiar face arrives on the outskirts of Utopia, eager to meet their son.......

Let's get this out of the way. I'm no historian but I'm not a tourist at all. You pick up a lot of things at the dinner table when your father is a community worker. I've lived in Dakota all my life and although, those old coots down at Sadler could bore you with stories about how Dakota was founded by Governer Mc blah blah blah, I'm gonna give three straight facts about Dakota from the defender of Dakota City, the Kilowatt Kid and definitely not the son of Black Lightning.

Fact number one. Dakota is not dead. At least yet.

I'll say this. Dakota was and still is a city of potential. Besides, why would every Wall Street investor pump millions of dollars into our ports five years ago? Every citizen of Dakota City has an unwavering tenacity to them in the face of inescapable hope. We work our hardest everyday to make sure the city doesn't fall apart, even as it collapses around us.

Fact number two. Dakota was not better before the Big Bang.

Every local person I've met gets teary-eyed about the days, reminiscing about the good old days before the Big Bang. I'm sorry to burst that big bubble of yours but Dakota never experienced a golden age in its entire lifetime. It lagged behind the rest of America when the Industrial Revolution came knocking. Due to its position on one of the Five Great Lakes and the complete lack of government oversight, bootlegging and trafficking across the Canadian-USA border prospered. Every gang in Dakota City can trace their origins back to these mules.

About all of that investment? Well, even with all those fat stacks of cash, the city council decided to spend all of it on vanity projects just to pump their own egos. Who needs larger hospitals when you could have a marina that no one uses unless they want to fork out a ludicrously large sum of rent? The predictions of economists failed to take into account corruption. And don't even get me started on how skewed the election process for becoming mayor is. My dad's stories of his own campaign are enough on a indictment already.

Fact number three. Dakota City has the highest concentration of meta-humans on the mid-eastern region.

Why is it then that I faced more than 15 different Bang Babies during those first weeks of chaos?

Why is it that the hospitals are currently reporting melted doorways, busted walls and empty hospital beds with over 80 unaccounted people who were exposed to the Big Bang?

The Big Bang has made Dakota City into one big chemical reaction that's waiting to happen and trust me, just when it seems like it's settling down, someone's gonna be stupid enough to light the fuse.

You'd be free to make the character your own but ideally in such a way that wouldn't ignore everything Inkarnate accomplished before leaving. I realize in most RPs this would be extremely unconventional and if the character was an original creation, I would never ask that of anyone. But as the character is 'Supergirl', I feel it's a bit different.

Think of it as you picking up where another writer left off on a Supergirl solo series. Everything before is still canon, but you're able to reimagine the character to fit your own style and vision.

Well, this is odd. But after days of thinking about and talking to Wraith, it started to bother me that I couldn't wrap up Wonder Woman's season one story. So I have decided to return with both characters that I made. As for Wonder Woman, I am still deciding if she's going to be in season two or not.
