@Pirouette I like it, interesting Quirk and backstory there, once you get the approval of SimpleWriter and Heartfillia, move her to the Characters section!
I'm considering joining this, but I am usually reluctant to join an RP that's already hundreds of posts in. I saw mention that a new story arc was beginning making it easier for new people to jump in. That being the case, I just want to know the specifics of that. Is it a new year? What is the justification for the sudden influx of new students?
@Stern Algorithm new arc in same year. We are just starting team battles in both hero and villans stories. so if you want to jump in now is the time. Just join the class and we can work you in like you've always been in the class. You can easily join villians as it's a perfect time to intro duce a new charactr.
There is villian spots open and a few student spots open
Edit it's only been like one and half months since school started.
@Stern Algorithm Yep, what Heart said, it's still early days IC. You can act like you've always been there, that or a few transfer students would be plausible to fill the gaps left by people who quit.
We do particularly need villains though, more so than we need other students.
Hero/Villain Name: Dealer Quirk Name: Substitution Quirk Type: Emitter Quirk Description: Substitute allows the user to swap any two items between their right and left hands. The connection between the two items is maintained so long as one of the items is held. There is a weight limit but it is about a small car's worth. The distance of a maintained bond between objects is about 100 meters.
Inventory & Possessions: The only thing important to him is always keeping a purple flower, a Blackjack Viola, on his person at all times.
Sample Post: "Hobbies are important, mom. One must keep their mind preoccupied otherwise they will drive themselves insane." Vincent spoke in a hushed tone and yet his voice was smooth, carrying the vibe of an evening radio DJ. Maybe that's his mother called as much as she did. It was anyone's guess since she hadn't really cared before. Whatever her response was, his attention hadn't wavered from the bed of flowers before him. All sorts of colors, shapes, and patterns lay before his scanning gaze. Gardening was a craft that didn't require careful attentiveness as the flowers did most of the work but it was one that you could really get into for perfect flowers.
"Yes, you say that every time I mention my garden but I can assure you, I have moved on since Emily's death. I've found..." Vincent paused as he caught the sight of a small honey bee that was circling one of his flowers. He reached out and gently coaxed it onto his finger. "...New purpose in life. You don't have to worry about me." His words still calm as he brought the creeping insect up to eye level. His inspection so close that the bee could, if it cared to, listen in on what his mother said back through the phone's speaker.
"Of course. Talk to you later." His tone never betrayed his true emotion. He hung up, slipping the phone into a pocket, and then he reached out for a small stone. Never taking his eyes off the bee, he dropped the stone into his watering pail and then with a sudden poof, the bee disappeared and the stone appeared on the back of his hand. He rolled his hand and the stone slid off. He rose to his feet, picked up his watering pail, and walked back towards his small house as if not sparing another thought about what he did.
However, that bee was the only thing on his mind. Why had it selected the roses and not the violas? What made that one flower more worthy of pollination than the others? The other flowers deserved the chance to have a pollinator just as much that rose. Vincent's mind twisted around these and many other questions as he absently dressed himself for work. He continued to dwell on these thoughts even into his shift. A coworker would ask, "why the long face?" to which Vincent gave the truth. "Why the roses?" But the coworker wouldn't understand. Violas were Emily's favorite and yet that bee couldn't even spare a second thought to help the violas when there roses in need. Was it because the bee preferred roses?
After his shift had ended, his mind still brooded about the reality of the bee's choice. Both flowers, both in the same flower bed, and both in need, yet the choice was made. Save the rose but fail to save the viola. That choice was being made everyday in this world and the fact that it was happening was a sickening thought. It had to end. Here and now. For Emily.
Thanks for the hearty welcome! Is there 'required reading' (for example, the last GM post and all posts that follow) or something that is recommended for newbies without having to read through the entire thread (I know, I'm kind of lazy)?
Anyways, here are my characters:
XiaoPao Xia
Hero Name: Power Prawn Nickname: Pow
"The name's POW! How's that for an introduction? Only Speed is Unbreakable! GYAAAAAAAGGHH!!!"
— XiaoPao Xia, unnecessarily punching through a wall, Kool-Aid Man-style
NAME
Xia, XiaoPao (蝦 小砲)
AGE
16 - 10th of May
GENDER
Female
APPEARANCE
Height: 4'10"
Weight: 130 lbs
Fashion Sense:
XiaoPao tends to dress very casually when not in uniform, most of the time sporting sweatpants and some t-shirt with a weird design or mascot character. She also wears black rubber claw-gloves with bumps and various attachments for interacting with everyday human objects, lovingly made by her father. XiaoPao enjoys IP merchandise from her favorite genres, and loves displaying said merch whenever given the opportunity. Her aesthetic resembles that of a middle school fanboy for all things shounen and martial arts. The only thing she really lacks is video game merchandise because her hands are not conducive to playing games, so she never really got into them.
Distinguishing Features:
XiaoPao is short for her age, often getting mistaken for a middle schooler. She has long, straight, red hair that goes down to her calves, and guarded, red eyes. Long antennae sprout from the top of her head, while her skin is covered in patches of rust-red shell. Instead of hands, her arms end in pincers, with her left being larger and bulkier than her right.
HERO NAME
Power Prawn
QUIRK NAME
Shrimp!
QUIRK TYPE
Mutant
QUIRK DESCRIPTION
Does whatever a shrimp can! She has powerful, crushing claws and a powerful tail that helps her jump high in the air and swim rapidly. She can breathe underwater, plates of red shell pepper her skin, providing some protection, and overall, she has greater than average strength for a human her size. Long antennae sprout from the top of her head, are sensitive to smell and touch, and aid her otherwise clumsy fingers.
In depth Quirk Details:
Most of her strength lies in her crushing power, less so lifting or pulling, so we won't be seeing shrimp loli throw semis around at any point, but crushing or punching through concrete is possible. Her tail allows her to leap to the top of a one-story building. Her shell is strong but not yet strong enough to block a bullet.
Quirk Development:
Her left pincer is significantly larger and clumsier than her left, but she doesn't quite yet know why. The reason is that she is capable of learning the Pistol Shrimp sonic bullet death snap.
The idea is similar to Gang Orca's sonic attack, although XiaoPao's would be more of an explosive sonic bullet than a cone attack, or maybe she can learn to do both. She hasn't yet sustained enough damage to lose a limb, so she has no idea that her shrimp arms regenerate. If her pistol arm gets damaged, her small arm will grow into the big pistol arm while the other regenerates into a small arm, effectively switching her handedness, which can be debilitating as she has to learn to become left-handed. But it might make her arms eventually even out, allowing pistol attacks from both claws, and for both to be similarly sized. Ideally, she would also learn to perform a Mantis Shrimp death punch (XiaoPao is a fan of Bruce Lee, so being able to perform her own version of the One-Inch Punch would be a dream), similar to how Tsuyu exhibits abilities of many frogs, as well as non-frog abilities like camouflage.
INVENTORY AND POSSESSIONS
Manual Dexterity Gloves - Black rubber sleeves with specialized attachments that fit over XiaoPao's claws and overcome her disability of having claws instead of hands, allowing her to interact with her smartphone, open doorknobs, use pencils, open milk cartons, etc.
XiaoPao opened her eyes and she wasn't in kindergarten anymore, the jeers fading back into her memory. She smiled. Thanks to the encouragement of her family and friends, she had made it this far. Despite the taunts that a 'Saturday Morning TV Show Monster' couldn't be a hero, here she was at the entrance to USJ. It had been a long and hard road, fighting against stigma and disability, so XiaoPao allowed herself a moment of celebration. Clacking her claws together, she did a double fist pump before proceeding to spin in place out of excitement, swinging her arms around.
BANG!
A cold sweat formed on XiaoPao's forehead as she slowly turned to see the huge dent in the driver door of the police car that she had unwittingly wandered into during her spinning. But worse than the dent was the look of utter terror on the face of the policeman sitting inside, completely startled at having his car get attacked during his coffee break. Realizing she was in big trouble, XiaoPao began to shake, while attempts to offer an explanation only caused her to devolve into making noises, going, "GYAGH! GYAGH!" This was unfortunately perceived by the policeman as a threat and unauthorized quirk use; the confused officer called for backup, and the situation escalated. It was still going to be a long, hard road.
PERSONALITY
Shy and introverted, XiaoPao is an otaku who likes nerdy, boyish things, like Super Sentai, Ultraman, Godzilla movies, Cantonese Kung Fu movies, and giant mecha anime. She has poor self-awareness and loses herself to excitement when it comes to her hobbies or when doing 'heroic' deeds. This makes her appear to switch between an 'outgoing' side and an embarrassed, shy side. Her spirit burns with fiery heroism. When flustered (and she is easily flustered), XiaoPao tends to become inarticulate and resorts to making guttural noises that usually come out as a 'Gyaaaaagh! Gyaaagh! Gyaaaaaagh!', often accompanied by bubbles and froth forming at her mouth.

Theme: Physical Drawbacks:
Of particular note is XiaoPao's extreme lack of manual dexterity, as she has pincers instead of hands. She has special gloves and other handicap equipment for dealing with everyday objects like doorknobs, eating utensils, computer keyboards, and her cell phone.
Eating Habits:
XiaoPao was taught from a young age that heroes were not picky about their food and always ate their vegetables so they could grow up to be strong, so XiaoPao has always had a fairly healthy and nutritious diet. She isn't a health nut, and does like her occasional snack or junk food, but she never loses self-control, or let her cravings consume her. Her one weakness is sour foods, while she is fine with a dash of vinegar or lemon and lime added for flavor, excessively sour foods is not something she can handle. Seafood of any sort is her favorite.
Hygiene Habits:
XiaoPao was taught from a young age that heroes required self-discipline. Due to her clumsy fingers, acts of personal hygiene, like tooth brushing and applying soap when washing, were difficult. But her parents taught her to push through and overcome the difficulty in order to develop self-discipline. So XiaoPao now has very regimented self-care routines. She's not afraid of getting dirty, because she knows she'll clean herself up, but messy behavior, like dropping crumbs on the floor, is one of her pet peeves.

Ushiyama Shifumi
Villain Name: Ushi-Oni
"We call ourselves The League of Villains, yet we're just fighting a bunch of kids. Oh! I'm sorry. If you thought that my reluctance meant that I was going to hold back or show mercy, then you are sadly mistaken."
— Ushiyama Shifumi
NAME:
Ushiyama Shifumi (牛山 白笛美)
AGE:
37
GENDER:
Female
APPEARANCE:
Shifumi is slender and over two meters tall with sickly, pale skin. Due to metabolic stress and age, she has white streaks in her hair, which she styles to look reminiscent of horns. She normally wears an apathetic poker face, but when she smiles, it is gentle and sinister. She exudes an oppressive aura and pins people with black, lusterless eyes. She hunches often to listen to people shorter than her speak.
Like most Yakuza, she has tattoos, the most prominent being on her back, hidden from view, of her namesake.
Due to the nature of her quirk, Shifumi's muscles are embedded with special staples, but the accrued bio-toxicity has caused a blackening discoloration of the skin around the staples.
On the field, she tends to wear a set of black metallic armor with white trimmings.
VILLAIN NAME:
Ushi-Oni (牛鬼)
QUIRK NAME
Do You Even Lymph, Bro?
QUIRK TYPE
Transformation
QUIRK DESCRIPTION
When Shifumi has an immune reaction, her white blood cells release a strength-enhancing chemical. By embedding bio-reactive staples into her musculature, she ensures that her body is in a perpetual state of bio-rejection, and thus operating at maximum strength all the time. She also regularly draws her own blood and, using medical facilities available to her, extracts the serum, which her allies can consume as a temporary strength boost.
Shifumi also happens to be allergic to peanuts, which becomes a gift, because by inhaling powdered peanuts, her body goes into anaphylactic shock, which is an immune reaction that her quirk converts into a 5-minute super-mode where her strength and speed are greatly enhanced. Before these five minutes are up, she must use her Epi-Pen on herself or else she will lose consciousness and risk death. Even if she uses the pen, her immune system will be temporarily compromised, which means she completely loses the strengths of her quirk.
Because blood clotting is also technically an immune reaction, in the future, I would like Shifumi to improve her quirk such that excessive bleeding on her body causes the blood to harden into a sort of armor, and into spikes, making her appear like Doomsday from DC Comics.
INVENTORY AND POSSESSIONS:
Armor - As shown above
Vials of Strength Serum - For ally use during emergencies
EpiPen
A bag of powdered peanuts
SAMPLE POST
The age of organized crime families was over, yet Shifumi clung to the outdated way of life and to tradition. Across the table sat a member of the League of Villains, an organization that had new ideals intended to challenge the heroes of the world. She didn't like it. The only ideals that mattered to her were honor, loyalty, and family. Yet she knew that if she remained stubborn and failed to adapt to the changes of time, her and the people under her protection would suffer.
Shifumi and her mother grew up in destitution in the streets of Oakland. While heroes protected people from physical dangers, like natural disasters and villains, nobody was going to save anyone from financial inequality. In the dark, seedy underbelly of society, overlooked by humanity's 'saviours', Shifumi had to fight to protect what was hers. It wasn't long before she joined a small street gang to protect her neighborhood, moving from one organization to the next based on the perceived strength of the organization. Soon she found herself as the local enforcer of a branch of the Japanese Yakuza in the Bay Area. As long as she continued to serve with distinction, Shifumi and her mother's lives were decent, some might even consider luxurious. But in addition to being just muscle, Shifumi was a fast learner, and demonstrated the 'heart' of a Yakuza member with her loyalty and dedication. Eventually, leadership of the local group passed to her. At some point, Shifumi's mother passed away, but she passed away in comfort. Now Shifumi had a bigger family to take care of.
She couldn't bear to see everything she and those who preceded her had worked so hard to build torn down by young, irreverent, volatile upstarts. But how did the saying go? If you're not at the table, you're on the menu. Shifumi turned back to the League of Villains representative. They were powerful, there was no denying that. Though they lacked discipline, they had...fervor. The organization was unpolished, but perhaps a strong, experienced, guiding hand could shape them into something great. And with a position within the League, Shifumi could negotiate for the preservation of her own group, perhaps even merge them, and allow both the Yakuza and the League to co-evolve to fit the current climate.
"Where do I sign?"
PERSONALITY:
The spine, the foundation, Ushiyama Shifumi presents a facade of immovable strength. She speaks softly, but with weight, keeping her expression placid and her thoughts and emotions close to her chest. During confrontations, however, she is brutal and relentless, preferring to end the confrontation swiftly. To those close to her, she can be motherly in a tough love sort of way, but for the most part, she doesn't let people get close emotionally because she knows that she has too much to lose if such weaknesses ever got exploited.
OTHERS
Skills/Talents:
As the former leader of a Yakuza group, Shifumi has management, leadership, and diplomacy skills. She also has quite a bit of capital to back her up. Being a bit of a traditionalist, Shifumi has exposure to various forms of Japanese martial arts, though her forte is jiujitsu.
Aspiration:
Shifumi's loyalty, first and foremost, is to her Yakuza group. She desires to keep them and their families safe and well-fed, even if that means going up against heroes or other villains. Due to the rise in heroism and villainy, the Yakuza has seen tough times, and Shifumi hopes that allying with the League of Villains will give her and her group legitimacy in the eyes of other villains so that they can cooperate against the forces that seek to suppress their collective ambitions.
Strength & Weakness:
Besides her quirk, Shifumi's greatest strength is her organizational leadership and willingness to negotiate, a rare trait in a world of egotistical, self-important villains. She can take a step back and consider what the more pragmatic options are, instead of letting her pride take the reins. Her greatest weaknesses are actually her ties to her Yakuza group. Members getting taken hostage is not something she can ignore.
@Stern Algorithm youre welcome. ould recommend just reading from the last gm post to present. I can give a summery later when I'm not about to drive. I'll read your cs when I get home.
@Stern Algorithm Don't worry, you don't have to read through the entire thread, although yep I recommend looking over the current arc from the last GM post. We can give you a summary of events so far if you'd like.
Anyway, on to the characters...
While your shrimp girl looks fun, some things need toning down a little. Since the sound attack is based on a pistol shrimp's snapping, a sudden burst of sound seems more likely than a Gang Orca-like paralysing ultrasound move. If it were more like Jiro's attacks, that'd be fine. Also, at this stage, smashing through concrete (at least with one blow) seems a bit much. I know you based that on a mantis shrimp's strength, but if you're going with her shell isn't tough enough to stop bullets, I say she should be able to crack concrete, only smashing it after several punches. Also doing this too much in succession would probably damage her shell, which of course would grow back, but that'd be a drawback in a fight. She could build up her strength over time.
Other than that, the way her Quirk affects her day-to-day life sounds interesting, and that sample post made me laugh. That clumsiness has good comedy potential.
As for your villain... Hmm, that Quirk would likely have more drawbacks than that, I've got to say. For one, all those staples and constant bio-rejection, wouldn't that be painful? Also, the peanut allergic reaction would set in faster than that, if it's bad enough for her to pass out after five minutes. She could get a very short boost of strength, like a minute or two, but if her throat swelled and her stomach cramped up in agony, that'd hinder her ability to fight.
Also have to say, not sure about the blood armour, since her Quirk is a side effect of immune reactions, not the ability to control the reactions themselves. At age 37 and as an experienced villain, it'd be unlikely for her to discover new uses of her Quirk anyway, and she already has regular armour so she wouldn't need it.
I don't know about the name of the Quirk either. Quirk names are usually snappy and to-the-point, whereas this one doesn't describe much except that it has to do with the lymphatic system.
I do like the backstory, though, and her loyalty being mostly elsewhere would make for some interesting conflict within the League of Villains.
If you make a few edits to both character sheets, I'll be happy to look over them again, and Heartfillia will give her input soon.
@Stern AlgorithmI agree with all that @LuckyBlackCat said. Then to expand upon the villian. I would say causing a reaction in the middle of a battle would be not the best choice because her jumping around and fighting would only deplete her limited air that much faster. I would say doing this would be a last-ditch effort when she has no other option.
Also thinking about it, with best Staples which are not even remotely part of the original quirk. Your character's body is probably not designed to be at maximum strength all the time especially with the Staples getting infected or can gangrene. I just don't see how someone going to be at max strength all the time and not burn out because it only comes out when there's a foreign antigen in her body.
I would recommend that she has enhanced strength kind of like Captain America levels normally. Because there's always white blood cells in the body. When she introduces an antigen to herself she can get even stronger. And again the allergic reaction being a last-ditch effort
Ooh. Is there a sorta limit on how, like, big we make our villains? Metaphorically, I mean, their notoriety or the scale of their deeds before joining this League of Villains?
@TruthHurts22Depends, if you come up with a reasonable story and Cat and I like it. However we do have a set boss and bigger boss. so those roles will not be taken. everyone is on the same level in the league for this rp. You can be a big baddie outside the league though who just joined.
Name Dakota Roice Hero Name The Memorable Hero, Remorie! Age 15 Gender Female
Appearance
Dakota's skinny as a twig, liable to fall over during a strong headwind. Combined with her short stature (only just taller than 5 feet), big green eyes, and slight buckteeth, it's hard to feel intimidated by her. She has straight pale green hair, usually tied up into a simple ponytail, and wide glasses. When casual, she tends to favor light jackets and not too many layers.
As Remorie, Dakoto wears a dark green bodysuit that covers her whole neck and reaches down to her ankles. Thin lines of lime-green stretch down the limbs - from her temples, down the sleeves (lining her knuckles and palms), ending at the ankle - and form a diamond pattern on either side of her. These highlights are derived from strands of her hair, which help facilitate her Quirk through them like electrical wires. Black combat boots with similar 'wiring' and thick soles, housing a set of smooth steel trackballs (essentially omni-directional Heelies). Two halves of a pair of goggles wrap around either side of her head, connected to the pads on her temples, and it's all topped off with a thick lime-green belt at her waist, to hold her Journal.
Quirk Name Memory Quirk Type Emitter Quirk Description Memory enables Dakota to form a bright green energy out of her temples. The energy is produced from memories, meaning that Dakota loses them when using her Quirk. The energy acts similar to a sort of plasma, burning through and damaging non-metallic materials and hot to anyone's touch but Dakota's. Once made, Dakota has limited control over the energy; at the moment all she can do with it is shoot it like a projectile. It's capable of being shaped and can even subsist for a certain amount of time once disconnected from any part of Dakota, but her lack of expertise with using her Quirk means she can't capitalize on these traits so well.
Once a specific "take" of the energy dissipates for whatever reason, the memories used to make it cease to exist. Dakota can't recall them naturally, though since the synapses involved with them are still a part of her brain, she can eventually regain them. Dakota can choose to use up multiple memories to produce a bigger effect (size, power, or otherwise), with all those memories equally forfeit with the blast. Memory defaults to her short-term memory when used, so if Dakota isn't careful about what memories she chooses, the most recent ones well-up first.
Memory cannot be used on memories that are central to Dakota - any recollection that's deep rooted into her personality are unable to be burnt up, likely as a self-preservation technique.
Possessions Dakota's only real possession of note is her Memory Journal. She keeps it everywhere she goes, and records as much as she can down in it, from ordinary events to useless trivia to a cool poem she read that day. Most smaller memories can be regained by reading them in her journal - she trusts its word over any other's.
Sample Post "Pull!"
Dakota's eyes snapped from the sky above to one of the lean teenagers in the alley with her. In the blink of an eye, the kid chucked his soda can straight up. Dakota followed it; as it reached the peak of its arc, the young girl snapped a finger to her temple and flicked it forward. A bolt of bright green light shot through the air and hit the can, bursting into a shower of sparkles and soda. The small group of teens cheered, echoing throughout the alley, and Dakota smiled, eyes locked onto the space where the can used to be.
"Not bad." One of the teens, a stockier one that was sitting on the drink cooler, shook Dakota from her zoning out. He offered her a (not disintegrated) soda. "What was yer name again?"
"Dakota!" She beamed and reached for the drink... only for the leaner teen to snatch it from the boy's hand. He shook his head, a coy smile on his face as he held up the can.
"That ain't what ya told me earlier."
"S'not?"
"Nahh," the teen said, glancing to his friends. "You said it was like, Geraldine, or somethin'."
For a moment, Dakota just looked at him. Her focus slowly shifted, eyes glazing as her so-called attention span turned her vision fuzzy. Then, with a chipper squeak, she said, "Oh! Okay." She turned back to the bulkier teen, smiling still. "I'm Geraldine!"
A wave of snickers passed over the teens. "Right, Geraldine," the lean one said, "let's see you nab this one!" He tossed the soda - her soda, not that she even realized it was - and she did it again, spraying the brick wall with sweet bubbling beverage. A small round of applause passed again, and the teen with the drinks held out another one to her.
"Not bad," he said, nearly the exact same tone as before. "What did ya say yer name was, again?"
Dakota smiled and, with all the confidence in the world, replied as if it were the truth. "I'm Geraldine!"
Name Orson Bigges Villain Name Big Shot Age 38 Gender Male
Appearance
Orson is a tall, broad man, nearing a full seven feet and with a good amount of muscle on him. Not "spends a lot of time at the gym" muscle, but definitely "he will mess you up if he wants to" muscle. An even tan, and hair as dark as night, kept just at his neck and often slicked back. Angular face, wide nose, thick eyebrows and thin eyes give him an almost warm presence. His smile, though, that's what usually tips people off. Not because he smiles like a slasher-movie villain, but rather that all but one of his teeth have seemingly fused together, the bottom and top rows looking like curved slabs of enamel. Adding to this off-putting discrepancy, the same can be said if you manage to see his right hand and foot; many of the small bones and fingers/toes have fused together, leaving them barely functional, almost toy-like in appearance.
Usually, Orson never needed a big, fanciful costume. He'd always wear his usual clothing when conducting business - mostly fancy suits, vests, and a really nice hat. But ever since his downfall, he's been needing a more pragmatic apparel while he's out and about. As such, Big Shot wears a loose and baggy pair of pants, a regular pair of sandals, and a wide shawl that covers most of his right side. That's all he needs.
Quirk Name Body Double Quirk Type Emitter Quirk Description Orson's quirk was, originally, very limited in its capability. Body Double let Orson make a single clone of himself over a short period of time. They had a shared consciousness and shared every physical trait, down to cadence and tics. The clone could also take just as much punishment and pain as the original Orson, though at a certain threshold it would disintegrate. The process was too long to be used in the heat of battle, requiring Orson to be clever in its use... at least, originally.
After years of slow EVO used, Body Double has since undergone a massive metamorphosis. Semi-playfully dubbed "Children" by Orson, his Quirk can now be used almost instantly, but the more important change is that instead of solely creating an identical lookalike, Orson is able to produce multiple copies at once, at the cost of their intelligence and likeness - they come out more like malformed, humanoid creatures than clones of Orson. The more he makes, the more the shared consciousness is replaced by a faint telepathic control, the clones acting on Orson's goals, so long as he can concentrate on them (the more he wants them to accomplish, the easier it is to disrupt the train of thought). This, however, comes with added downsides, the biggest of which being that the more clones he makes, the weaker he himself becomes, losing his luster and becoming physically frailer.
Inventory There are two things that Orson never lets leave him hands: a small .357 Derringer that he keeps in a pocket holster at all times, and three thumb-sized vials of his infamous drug, EVO, a thick dark-purple fluid. EVO is a heavily modified offshoot from the equally prevalent drug, Trigger, with even nastier effects; complete biological evolution of Quirks, permanently. Side effects include premature fusing of skeletal structure (thus Orson's deformities), and in many cases mental instability due to the body not being able to handle the new extents of its Quirk.
Sample Post Orson watched the ceiling fan spin lazily above him, circulating more dust than it did the summer heat. But his attentions were elsewhere. Like hell he would let himself wallow in this dingy apartment, self-pity piled around him. Even now, when he was at his rock bottom, rug swept from his feet and nothing else in the world for him, he was focused solely on business.
It just happened that his current business was keeping himself out of prison.
His mind's eye drifted between the different consciousnesses around him; he glanced around the corner of the motel he was hidden in, tracking every car that even passed the street; he scanned the skies from the rooftop, dropping low to the decaying tile at any dark shape that flew overhead; and he stared at the door to his room like a hawk, carefully hidden in the unlit rafters above. He was safe, for now, not that it would stop him from check.....
"...night's biggest story, the capture of Orson Bigges."
All at once, Orson returned to himself, like he just took a dive into a freezing pool. He sat up in bed, just enough to see the old CRTV, and the news that was playing on it.
"As I'm sure our audience is aware, today was another triumphant triumph over villainy as notorious kingpin Orson Bigges, otherwise known as 'Big Shot' - guess the guy had some confidence problems, eh? - was uprooted from his spot during a massive sting on his entire operation. Officials say that the majority of Bigges' manufacturers were arrested, putting an end to any major production of EVO within the Southern California area. Officials also say that while the drug's distribution is heavily crippled, Bigges himself has evaded custody, and that it is imperative that any knowledge of his whereabouts be reported. Coming up, the San Jose Armadillos face off again--"
The TV was suddenly wrenched from its stand and thrown to the floor, where it shattered into pieces. Orson was, again, surprised, but not as much as before. Rage had filled his mind, making him clench the bedsheets. And while his awareness had wandered from him, his 'Children' acted on his desires. In the dim moonlight, the three Children he had on watch returned to the room. Wiry bodies and heads too big for them, facial features stretched or outright missing. One didn't have an arm.
