Champion's Town Center

An simple beautiful and empty town with only a handful individuals inside each building. It was the town for Arena Champions. This special arena was formed from the souls of unknown warriors through out a lost world's time. Flesh feels real, mind intact, yet the vastness of the waters surrounding this town's and its ports seemed endless. Taken from mind such worries however. This town was quite welcoming. Statues of important figures were found around the viewing areas. Only two floors to the place on the edge of two cliff sides. Bridges connecting them.

A weapons and armor shop. A bar and inn. A market for potions and foods. A bank for storing items. The training grounds and also the official arena entrance. These five buildings made up most of the town besides some closed empty homes. A mysterious thing. Yet all champions were free to move about this town. To interact with the shop keepers and observe the battle notices outside for easy availability.

Battle Notice:
First notice! #1. Welcome Champion to the start of the Arena! We hope you enjoy your stay! You're free to prepare for the next battle! But don't battle each other here! This is where you'll be able to take care of things outside of battle! So try and relax and enjoy the scenery!

Sahale walked out of the weapons and armor shop, holding his sheathed sword in his right hand as he fastened a gauntlet to his left. He then repeatedly stretched and closed his fingers as if getting a feel for the glove. he had a bit of a sneer on his face, not because he he didn't like the gear, but because this was his gear that was taken from him when he was arrested. "Nothing like paying to have all your own stuff back...," he grumbled for a moment as he looked over everything to make sure it wasn't damaged while in the shop's care. His face brightened a bit though once all was in order.

Sahale headed over to the corner where there was board for upcoming events. He gave it a look over to see who the champion was, which seemed to be a twilight dragon knight. "Huh, go figure. Can't say I'm surprised though," he said to himself with a smirk, but it only faded as the post reminded him of his own match-ups. Unlike other competitors here, he was practically arena property until he racked in enough cash to pay off his sentence, which meant that he was going to be forced into events to fight to both make sure he stayed here and that somewhere there was someone keeping an eye on him. He looked around at the thought, but then simply shrugged his shoulders, their treat he guessed. He pulled a notice out of an inside pocket of is clothes, and looked it over to see what the arena had in store for him today.

Kara landed on the ground with a huff right next to the board with upcoming events. She was abit tired since she just woke up and with all this armor on her she felt kinda bulky flying around. When she landed she walked up to where she could see what she would be fighting in the end when she beat all the other gladiators or as they call themself Champions, they werent champions, she had seen better fighters that were 13 years old. "Huh some kind of dragon knight looking person." she said out loud to the unpure cretins around her. They werent worthy of even her beauty, they are all worth dirt and should be made slaves and work in the mines. "Anyways. I bet he or she can breath fire or maybe even turn into a dragon" she thought to herself. "Aslong as I keep my distance I doubt the fire breathing will be a problem" she thought as someone else turned up next to her.

This person next to her looked like someone you would see in a slum. Even if they were a fighter they only had protection on the lower arm which wouldnt help much against an arrow launched at 125mph at their head. They looked like a sol purebreed since they kinda shined a tiny bit. "Huh, go figure. Can't say I'm surprised though," the sol purebreed said to himself as he smirked. "I hope im up againts this smirking bastard sometime so I can teach him not to talk around someone like me, he is lesser and therefore he will show me respect by being quiet" she thought to herself as she walked off to get ready for her fight.

Sahale suddenly felt a haughty presence near him. It absolutely reeked of self righteousness and outward loathing. He started to chuckle as he turned to Kara, who the feelings seemed to be emitting from quite profusely. "Phew! Oh my, oh my, that is one hell of a superiority complex I'm feelin'. You really that good or are you just that into yourself? Because I'd saaaaaay," he looked her up and down, one arm crossed with his sheathed weapon still in hand as it supported the other arm resting on his chin as if deep in thought, "......bout a seven.....ish, maybe eight?" He wasn't able to see her eyes before she started to walk away as he was originally reading his own personal notice for his lineup of fights.

Mikeil Thae-Araste

Geared up, he'd tested the weight of every piece of armor, every bit of weaponry--even though the weapons were his own, bought back. A strange place, this Champion's town, this arena. He cast his gaze across the largely empty expanse of buildings, his perch atop a building allowing him quite the view. Far off, but not out of reach, lay the arena that he craved to enter. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he cast his gaze elsewhere and found it falling upon two souls by the message boards, a man and a woman. He tilted his head.

They didn't look like the town's inhabitants, there was a different sort of presence about them. They were armed as well. Champions perhaps, travelers arrived in this place, thrill seekers perhaps? Though maybe...just maybe, they may have been true warriors. His gaze flicked down and across his immediate surroundings before it went to them once more. Casually he hopped from the rooftop, sailing down through the air. He caught the edge of a lower roof and swung, slowing his descent and adding forwards momentum all at once. Still too fast he let his wings spread his voluminous cloak open and gently caress the wind.

His feet lit upon the ground silently, barely a puff of dust being stirred by his arrival.

Remembering the path he folded his wings, wrapping them back around his person, before he walked calmly towards the small square where he'd seen the pair and the message board.

A brief time later he rounded a corner and came in sight of his destination. Wonderful, they were still here. Approaching slowly he observed the two, gaze roving curiously over their forms and armaments.

Intriguing.

As the man exchanged words with the lady Mikeil passed them both by with a silent stride and pushed his awareness of them to the side. There was a new announcement on the board, words of the current champion. A warrior of draconic ancestry--at the very least--had come out on top.

Mikeil decided that he could not allow the man to remain there.

Of course, it wasn't personal.

He turned to the other two champions, ignoring the words of the male, "Will you two be competing as well?" There was a quiet curiosity weaved through his words, its like accompanied by a subtle amusement apparent only in the gentle amber light of his faintly glowing eyes.

Kara Stormborn

Halfway through her step she froze up by the sound of the lesser being speaking to her. She got furious, how could this cretin dare speak to her, he was unclean but not unpure so she wouldn't be killing him on the spot, just as she was about to turn around with her wings spread out she was stopped a second time by an unclean and unpure cretin also opening its mouth he asked if she and the unclean was going to competing. "Ofcourse I will be competing, these unpure and unclean beings should not be a problem for me, they aren't worthy and neither are you so please... be quiet, you are an abomination of different blood types, you should not even be allowed to fair outside of the deepest of mines, I hope you get stomped into the ground like an ant the first fight you take." Kara said as she started walking away

"The audacity of these unclean beings, how do they even dare speak to me." she thought to herself as she geared up in her locker room.

AKIVA

She crouched on a high rooftop, watching.

This place was the wrong kind of quiet. Not the silence of an empty wasteland, not the stillness of an empty sky, nor even the hush of wild creatures when they knew Akiva was stalking. This was... empty. Eerie. This was a place of buildings and windows and doors, a hive that should be full and bustling with men and women and sweet tiny children. But from her perch, all Akiva could see were three tall warriors, chattering amongst themselves. One, a female, spoke harshly to the others, and then left.

Are these my prey? Akiva wondered. They all looked big, and strong, and fast. Lots of muscle, which meant lots of meat, but also a long chase. But it didn't feel like it was the right time yet. These hunts had rules, and Akiva didn't think she was supposed to be stalking them just yet.

She could watch, though. There were no rules about watching.

Her eyes drifted to the notices, posted in loud, clear letters. She could see them well even from all the way up here; Akiva had good eyes, but all the same the letters were finnicky and weird, unfamiliar. She'd never quite gotten used to all those squiggly lines, those foreign words.

Slowly, slowly, she read through the letters one by one, her lips forming the words as she began to comprehend. "Twi... Lite... Dra... Gun..." The Champion, which was another word for Alpha. The biggest and strongest of the pack.

Akiva ran her tongue over her teeth. I want to meet him...

Ryba stood on one of the many bridges in the city, leaning on the railing and looking out at the cliffs and buildings built so precariously into them. From this high up, you could just barely see a flash of red in the waters below- the only thing she could see of herself in the waving reflections they cast. The sun was shining brightly over the town, and in the relative peace outside of the arena- things were calm. In other words, it was a beautiful day for a fight.

She pushed herself away from the railing after what felt like an hour. She didn't exactly have anywhere she had to be, yet. But it was always a good idea to keep moving, even if where you were going wasn't all that important. She passed by the weapons shop as a crowd was gathering around the bulletins nearby. She'd heard the announcement but hadn't paid attention apparently. The New champion was accepting challengers, and even encouraging them?

"A bold one, it seems." She mused, mostly to herself as she noticed two others nearby getting into a spat, and then a third coming over to ask who would be competing in the next matches.

"Why not?" She started, shrugging her shoulders as she spoke up. "It is only for a title though. Hardly something to get huffy about." She smirked as the Oro woman walked off, muttering to herself.

Ryba turned back to the two men after the other woman was out of sight, a coy look still on her face. "Be that as it may, I'd be willing to bet I'll last longer in a fight than her. Where I'm from, insisting on how great it is to be a "Pure blood" usually only means that you don't have any good qualities or useful skills."

"Yes, unfortunately, I am. By order of the court even." Sahale told Mikeil, passing him a withering look. He watched as Kara left, "You know, I always find it curious how there are just certain women that just become uglier the more they move their mouth... hmmm, no idea why." He was about to make his leave, however, then something, admittedly nice, glided down to where the bulletin was as well. It was what seemed to be a Seraph girl with pink wings. Sahale already began to lighten up at her presence, already lost looking into her eyes. "Well, I must say, a beauty such as yourself does demand more spotlight."He commented about her saying she would outlast the other girl. He then turned to Mikeil, "Let it be known that if I absolutely have to be gutted by any of the three of you, I prefer her already. He chuckled and looked back to Ryba. "My own pure blood has done nothing but get me into more trouble than I care to admit to in front of mixed company I'm afraid. My name is Sahale. Sahale Tiegal. Your resident, humble, honest, valiant, arena prisoner! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"I appreciate your flattery, but I promise you the spotlight does not suit me well at all. As for how you want to lose this next battle, I'm all too happy to oblige your wish if at any point you feel you can't go on." She smirked and rested a hand on the hilt of one of her swords for just a moment. Ryba nodded as Sahale introduced himself, bowing her head slightly in respect as she introduced herself in turn. "The pleasure is mine. My name is Ryba Krim."

She looked up at the sky as the battle notice was announced, smiling for a few seconds as she began to mentally prepare herself for the fight. "Hopefully this will give you a chance to see I'm more than a pretty face. See you in the Arena!" and with that she took off and entered the portal at the Arena's entrance.

AKIVA

IT WAS TIME.

She saw the doorway appear from her high perch, a gateway made of magic and mystery and stranger things still. Her eyes went wide, pupils narrowing, fixed on the portal as she unslung her musket from her back, already loaded. Through there lay the hunt. The hunt! The stalking and fighting and cutting and tearing and eating! Akiva wanted it, wanted it all!

She leaped off the rooftop, and her wings spread wide, stark red and white against the open sky. For a moment, she hung in the air...

Then, like a hawk swooping in for the kill, she dove down towards the portal and sailed straight on through, a wild smile slashed across her face as she plunged into its waiting maw.

FINALLY!

She saw the doorway about 5 feet ahead of her. It was time to show these unclean beings why they are less worthy, they will watch as she nails each and every one of them to the walls with her arrows. with steady steps she walked towards the portal taking the bow of her back and loading 2 arrows with one shot, 4 feet, 3 feet, she could almost smell the prize, 2 feet, they others were as good as dead when they tried to fight her, 1 feet, What was that? it felt like a bird flying by me into the portal maybe another compatant.

As she walked through the portal she started smiling "Time to show them why they shouldnt fuck with the stormborn" she said to herself.

Mikeil Thae-Araste

His head tilted at the harsh words for the Oro among them, but he didn't falter, didn't blink, and the small bemused smile never left his features. The woman, clearly flustered, departed and he admitted to himself that he would love to prove her wrong one day...if she survived that long.

His eyes drifted and fell upon the owner of the man who had answered his question, his smile grew faintly and he nodded. "Excellent," he said with genuine satisfaction. The newcomer, another woman, joined in on their discourse and he raised an eyebrow faintly, his amber eyes flickering faintly as if with firelight. As with the other stranger, Ryba departed before the two men, and so Mikeil turned to Sahale. "We will meet again," he said with a brief, close-eyed smile, before turning away and waving over his shoulder. However, as he shifted his attention he caught motion in the sky above, a brief figure, swooping through the air before disappearing into the portal.

His step not faltering he reoriented and headed for that same destination secure in the knowledge that for now he only had four contenders. His scouting had been quite successful, for now he had something of an impression of three, while the fourth struck him as a reclusive sort. A low chuckle exited his throat as he made his way to the portal. Already prepared for the conflict ahead he had no need to gear up and no desire to spend precious coin on further items no matter the edge they might give him.

In his mind he rattled off what he knew of the other contenders, the Champions, as it were.

A pureblood Oro, hot blooded and arrogant, self-assured.
Sahale of the Sol bloodline, though he was unsure if that was all. He was confident, even tempered, if rude and prone to conflict.
Ryba Seraph hybrid, going by physique and the implications of her words. Even tempered, calm, humble, perhaps even calculating.
A seraph with unsure lineage. Reclusive, but observant.

He considered the arms and armaments he had witnessed on each of their forms and decided that Ryba and the unknown seraph were perhaps the most dangerous of the lot whereas Sahale and the tyro woman were the most likely to become obstacles of a different sort.

Mikeil's thoughts now soundly in order he took a deep breath and took the last few steps into the portal, amusement plain on his features.

He was looking forwards to this challenge.

Sahale watched as the four went into the portal. He sighed and started to turn around, taking a few steps away form it. But for some reason, he couldn't keep walking. He sighed and pulled out his list of fights he was already pre-scheduled for, and this was nowhere on it. He turned around to face the portal once more, tapping the hilt off his sword against his chin in thought. "Ah, to hell with it," he said as he decided to walk towards the portal. "Extra jingle in my pocket never did me wrong before," he said just before walking through the portal.

He saw the others there on the other side of the portal, now in a large arena. He did a quick gear check, making sure his gauntlet was on properly, taking his sword, still sheathed, in his right hand and leaning what would be the back of the blade on his shoulder, and checking his katar that was sheathed on his lower back, perfectly in reach of his left arm. Alright, everything checked out. "Since we have so many 'friends' here, I wonder if we will be seeing his dragon companion."

James cheerfully walked into the blacksmiths shop and gazed at the weapons and armor till he found what he was looking for.Ding! the bell chimed through the air after he had pressed it, once the Blacksmith walked up to the counter James smiled and asked him " Yes I would like a full set of leather armor and a dagger please." he said briskly and joyously. The blacksmith snorted as he looked at James " you sure kid? Maybe a stick would suit you better". James smiled again but I never reached his eyes " I would have you know I am twenty years old , and so you want to get paid or not!? " he said his voice now a gravelly growl. "Ok ok" the blacksmith said then walked into his inventory room.

Walking out of the blacksmiths shop James sighed and rolled his eyes as he adjusted the straps on his new armor and threw aside the helmet. He would have been perfectly nice and mild mannered with the .blacksmith but no , he had to call him kid." I'm twenty years old." he muttered as he sheathed the dagger in the sheath that rested horizontally on the back of his waist. Sighing and running his hand through his hair he walked up to the arenas board of notifications and checked if there was a match open today.
