"I believe your greatest chance of survival rests within the hands of elves," Inori began. He turned from the others, even if just for a moment, and took a step further into the darkness, the demonic boy's very presence illuminating their surroundings to a certain extent. One would be forgiven for mistaking Inori for a fairy, with the beauty he possessed revolving around the moon's embrace. However, it was easy to forget that his demonic kin were pioneers of immortal couture, a fantastical pursuit of fashion and beauty, in both fabric and magic. "Let me explain for you, dear human, what awaits you in this new world you call home." Inori began, as he placed one foot in front of the other. Remaining idle within a thicket of trees would likely end in an ambush, which was the very first caution making its way into Inori's mind. They needed rest, and this was not the venue for that.

"Fairies, they are a common sight in Avalia, and tend towards a less harmful approach," the demon explained, stopping in his tracks. Echoing his previous motions, Inori conjured forth a spear which proceeded to act as a seat for the young demon. His laziness was likely put on display through the act, but such was his nature. Crossing one leg over the other, with slender hands gently resting on the shaft of a spectral blue weapon beneath his frame, Inori proceeded to explain the world's construction. He had worked with the Lich King, his sister and father still did, and he was fully aware of Avalia's presentation.

"Gain allies among the elven ranks, human, for elves possess the power of light," came an explanation. It was no secret that Inori's opinion of the light-wielders strung along a negative note, but he was not of an illogical mind. "Their nature directly opposes the darkness which aims to consume you. Wisdom dictates that you arm yourself with their friendship." Inori’s choice of words might have been a rather odd display, but he was yet to finish. "That is, of course, the Light Elves. Dark Elves on the other hand, you best avoid." Inori leaned forth, where he sat, those crimson eyes meeting Ayita’s with a small smirk making itself visible upon his features. "Children aiming to please their father, Dark Elves are a pathetic sight. Fools, and idiots, but dangerous fools."

Raising a hand, Inori motioned towards Cade, "the animalistic entities roaming Avalia will likely look favorably upon you, for your arrival speaks of new horizons." Inori would then thumb over his shoulder, in the direction where Korvash had left. "I need not explain the nature of orcs. Simple-minded creatures, and savages."

Finally, the demonic boy’s grin grew somewhat more prevalent, his hand gently placed at the surface of his slender chest. "Demons like myself are quite the gamble," he chuckled. "However, I can tell you that most of my foolish, incompitent kin find themselves at the Lich King’s side, sullying our very existence by serving something as lowly as a peasant desperately escaping the natural death afforded a lesser being." With his fingers wrapping themselves around the shaft of his spear, Inori’s teeth clenched, and his demeanor clearly changed. It was an unexpected shift, for sure, but very prevalent. For the very first time, he seemed genuinely upset, or rather, infuriated.

Those crimson eyes narrowed in a cold gaze, a blue mist quietly circling his fingers as the demon’s grip of the weapon tightened in frustration. "Where your trust in demons should be scarce, human, be sure to trust our hatred..," Inori spoke, anger seeping from every word. "My people have lowered themselves to pathetic depths by following the Lich King, and have made a mockery of our blood..," a claw rose to point at Ayita, "I would help you the gates of my most reviled enemy, the Light Elves, for I despise the Lich King more than you could possibly comprehend." It was no secret that demons viewed themselves as superior, but Inori’s position on the matter was clear. They were far too superior to follow a gathering of bones, an imposter of immortality. True emperors bowing down to a pale reflection of actual power. It was pathetic, and Inori was sure to express his undying hatred towards the fact. "Yes, Ayita Ani Wa’Ya.., it’s within my best interest to assist in your safety, for the first step in waking my kind from their blind stupor, is putting an end to the blight they call master."

Myra was hunting when she felt the strange tremor in the ground. She didn't know what it was, but she knew that it was somehow different than just a normal tremor. It did scare her at first, making her immediately stop chasing her prey and look around. Strangely enough, there was nothing wrong or different with her surroundings, other than an unusual feeling that she couldn't quite explain. It came and went away as suddenly as the tremor itself. It was clear for her that something had happened though. With her curiosity winning over her hunger, she simply couldn't dismiss that tremor as nothing and went to investigate.

She did found strange that there were some scents she didn't know in the air. Even though she wasn't in that area of the forest for too long, but she was there for enough time to know most of the types of animals there and their scent relatively well, but there were a couple of them that were quite unusual and new to her. Using her camouflage, Myra ran through the forest without making a sound. A little more than a blur, an irregular reflection of the moonlight, almost imperceptible she followed the strange scent until she arrived in a clearing. In the middle of the clearing though, there was an unknown creature sleeping. Undoing her camouflage, she slowly and silently approached the unknown sleeping creature, being sure to not make any noise in order to not wake it up. She wanted to take a good look at it first.

Standing just near it, she lowered herself, leaning closer to it. Undoubtedly, that was the source of the strange scent she felt, but what exactly was that? It didn't have the same scent, the pointy ears nor it had pretty wings on it's back like the forest people she some times saw, it wasn't green or huge like those mean and violent green things. It also didn't seem to have claws, talons nor big metal sticks like the big green guys or the thin wooden branches that shot spikes like the forest people had, she wondered how it would hunt for food on it's own. After some consideration, Myra slowly moved her hand towards it's face, gently touching it's cheek to see if it would wake up that easily. After a few seconds and having verified that it was still sleeping, she carefully opened it's mouth. Maybe it had sharp teeth like her? Little by little, Myra started forgetting that whatever that thing was, it was merely sleeping and started throwing caution to the wind, letting her curiosity speak louder and further investigating the strange creature. It's ears, mouth and the strange thing he used over it's skin.

Kyran raised his lance in front of him to take the wolf as it pounced on him. The wolf took him to the ground, biting and trying to get at Kyran's neck. "You feral beasts are getting in my way." He said, struggling to push the large wolf. Kyran kicked the wolf back pushing on its chest with his feet. It had only taken a few seconds to prepare for his next move. Kyran pointed his spear towards the wolf that had been charging him again. The wolf charged itself into the spear which pierced the wolf chest. He quickly pulled himself closer, biting the neck of the wolf and breaking it.

He turned to examine the situation. Dionaea was kicking the wolf off her thankfully after he snagged a bite. Hopefully, it wasn't bad. The human was clearly more than capable of taking care of himself. He let out a sigh of relief, his shoulders relaxing. Kyran was so glad Dionaea seemed okay. His blood ran cold at the sight of Risa being bitten by one of these wolves. She was crumpled up on the ground, the wolf's teeth piercing her thigh."Risa!" He yelled in terror. She was too weak from healing the human to defend herself. Kyran rushed over to defend Risa, the whole world ceasing to exist besides the situation at hand. Kyran stood in between the wolf and Risa. The wolf was thankfully injured by the fire that had come from the other human girl. "We are not going to leave you, Risa." He said and scooped her up into his arms. "Hey! Dionaea! Human! Let's go!"

Skar walked into Crescent Elf Village with Peacemaker trailing behind her. The village was lit with soft white light produced by glass orbs hung and propped up throughout. The orc did not understand how this lighting worked, but she preferred it over the use of torches. She could already feel the eyes of villagers that were awake out of necessity or others who simply wanted to see if the orc would return.

Skar had arrived to this village several hours prior to trade and managed to pick up a bounty on two young trolls that had been causing a bit of ruckus in the Moon Elf Village region. The shifty elf that she did her dealings with was probably unavailable, but she could wait until dawn. Her thoughts went to Darius for a moment.

Human will wait 'cause Skar said to wait. Will buy him weapon and better armor… Hmm, maybe elves know what makes humans strong. Elves have light. Dark elves have dark. Fairies… tree magic. Demi-human are beasts. Demons… they are strong. Orcs, they are stronger.

Skar took a seat, crossed-legged on the ground in front of a closed stand where goods would be sold. She crossed her arms and shut her eyes to get a bit asleep. Peacemaker lowered himself down to the ground to do the same, getting rest whenever he could.

Cade nodded in agreement, the Sun Elf Village was close by and they were reasonable creatures who would either help or at the very least would not turn the human in. It was a good plan to keep moving, it would make them harder to find if the lich’s minions were searching for the human. He could certainly trust the light elves more than a demon, and with them around he wouldn’t need to watch the demon as closely. It was not lost on Cade that Inori seemed to use magic constantly; the man had seated himself upon a conjured spear just to talk, and it seemed like a needless display of power. The demon’s disdain for the lich and those who followed the king was at least agreeable, though he doubted any demon was capable of caring for another with any altruistic intent.

“The light elves will likely aid you, plus the Village of the Sun Elves is beautiful. They have Amoras, it’s like a boat that sails through the sky, and hover boards, which are like the Amoras but small and you can stand on them, and great jumping shoes…” Cade said, excitedly explaining the cool things he’d seen there before, when he got to the part about the shoes he jumped up to emphasize his point, as he talked his tail swished about with excitement, matching his tone. “and they let you jump at least twice as high as you normally can, it’s great fun.” He hoped that the Sun Elf Village could show Ayita that this world wasn’t all bad, sure some parts were terrifying especially to someone not from here but there were also beautiful cities, wonderful creatures, and enjoyable technology as well. Cade began walking at a leisurely pace towards the village, so that the human and Inori, with his small legs, could reasonably keep up with the large cat’s stride.

“The Sun Elves have big lovely buildings that seem like they could just about touch the clouds and it’s truly a spectacle at dawn when the light hits right. Not quite as lovely as Roshmi City, but nicer than Lora, that’s where I’m from.” He continued. Cade’s clan had been poor by most standards though he never considered himself poor; he had strong family connections, they hunted most of their own food, and even when it was cold his fur and the pelts of hunted animals kept him warm. Sure his family didn’t have money for things like hoverboards and solar boxes when he was a cub but he never felt like he missed anything. Upon traveling when he was older he got see all of the amazing things he’d never had and while they were fun to experience on occasion he never felt like expensive toys were necessities.

“Those are the main Demihuman cities, there’s a Demi equivalent of just about every animal. My grandmother used to say that eons ago when humans first started coming here some of them made a deal to stay in our world, they traded their magic away and they merged with the beasts here and that was where our race came from. The bravest warriors made their deal with the cats, of course, I don’t know if that’s true but it’s’ what she’d say.” Cade continued to talk while he walked, filling the human in on the lighter aspects of Avalia. “So what’s your world like? Is it all humans or do you have many races?” Cade asked, he wondered if her world even had things like jumping shoes, magic, or even cats. He also hoped to change the subject from the lich as well, he knew it wouldn't be long before his forces were after them and they'd be spending a great deal of time worrying about the King, or if they were very unlucky, not much time at all.

Poking and prodding followed by more poking and prodding was barely enough to get a murmur out of Darius. He was physically beat. His evening run before bed coupled with being chased by a giant monster through the forest tuckered him out. And don't forget that between those two activities, he had planned to sleep. As deep of a sleep it may have been, there was always a limit and Myra would test it with her boundless curiosity.

Soon enough moans and groans were accompanied by the turning of Darius' face and body. His attempt to escape Myra's innocent study of him failed, and he would soon need to wake up to address the adversary to his slumber if this kept up… And it did.

"Stop…" The protest was a low mumble followed by a groan, but there was no mercy for Darius. Poking? Pinching? Wait! Who the hell is groping me?! Darius' eyes crept open with a cold hate-filled glare at the adversary of his slumber.

The expression must have lasted a second. Enough time for Darius to realize he was not looking at something he was familiar with. His eyes widened with fright as he initially jerked himself back and away from whatever she was. Pale white skin, long white hair, a looooong tail, odd red markings, no clothes…

Wait a fuckin' minute! I'm still… here? I was still hoping that this was all just a dream... And who or what is she?"

Darius was wary of the female creature, but she didn't appear to be dangerous. In fact, Darius found her to be quite cute. Her expressions were almost childish. Now their curious expressions almost mirrored each other before Darius let loose an uneasy smile when he noticed he was staring. He identified her human-like qualities and was beginning to assume that the female creature was just a new race of being that he was encountering… Anything was possible. Her silence didn't seem voluntary, that or she was being weird.

"Hey! Uhhh… Can you talk? I'm Darius…" There was no reply, but he would keep trying. "Do you at least have a name or a sound you make?" Darius tried not to show it, but he was nervous due to his ignorance of this creature's motives. Then again, poking someone while they slept was harmless... most of the time… maybe some of the time. Darius stood to his feet and gave her a more confident smile to show that he was friendly and less afraid of her in hopes that she might speak.

Despite being critical information for her survival, Ayita couldn't help but be amazed as Inori explained more about Avalia to her. According to him, the best course of action would be finding allies amongst the light elves, for they were the polar opposite of demons such as Inori himself, using the power of light while demons controlled the darkness. While others such as fairies and demi-humans would look upon her favorably, due to her being an existence that threatened Aklenroth himself, the light elves were, apparently, the ones better armed to fight against Aklenroth's darkness and presumably the center of the rebellion against Aklenroth.

There were many races in Avalia. Ranging from fairies and elves to orcs and demons, judging by what Inori had said, about half of those races would be hostile to her, while the other would either be indifferent or help her. Inori also spoke about his own race. While most of the demons indeed served Aklenroth, their race seemed to be whimsical and fickle by nature, often only thinking about themselves, taking actions more basing on their own interests, amusement and feelings, especially hatred, than anything else.

Perhaps the most interesting part of Inori's explanation about demons though, was not what he said, but what he didn't. His reactions were a clear indication that not only he didn't approve of the other demons serving Aklenroth, but that he saw pretty much everything that wasn't a demon as inferior beings. Was that also a common trait by demon standards? Not only that but he mentioned that most demons were in Aklenroth's side... despite being whimsical and fickle beings. Maybe that could be used for her own advantage or even against Aklenroth himself, although that was something that would require more research and information about demons in general, something that she didn't have. What Ayita had gotten out of that explanation was that demons were, in most occasions, terrible long-term allies...

Luckily for Ayita, Inori's hatred towards Aklenroth was, perhaps, the only thing that was certain about him. Even if she couldn't trust Inori himself, she could definitely trust his hatred.

"It is safe to assume that the light elves are the center of the rebellion against Aklenroth then." Ayita said, thinking to herself.

"But... Would the sun elves let you enter the city even being a demon?" Ayita asked, curious.

"By the way, regarding demons, you described them as being incredibly fickle and whimsical by nature. What is that made them, having such a fickle nature, to ally themselves with an 'inferior' creature such as Aklenroth? Something must have happened to make them so fiercely loyal to him. If not... their fickle nature could be potentially used against Aklenroth, right?" Ayita asked, repeating the words Inori used when talking about Aklenroth.

While Inori focused more on who was who and their general feelings regarding humans, Cade focused on a different aspect. As he explained with more details how the Village of the Sun Elves, he mentioned how they had something called Amoras, something he described as flying boats, hoverboards which could be used to fly and even shoes that allowed the wearer to jump higher. Ayita couldn't help but let out a giggle seeing how excited he was speaking about it, both his tone and his tail clearly showing his feelings. As he continued, telling Ayita how lovely the city was and mentioning some other cities such as Roshmi and Lora, it became quite evident that he had travelled a lot. That, coupled with how demi-humans were according to cade strong warriors would certainly make him a good ally to have.

"Roshmi, the Village of the Sun Elves, Lora... They all seem to be beautiful places. You seem to have traveled through Avalia quite a lot, haven't you?" Ayita asked, looking to Cade.

"Regarding my world, we do have only one race but... It is fragmented and broken. There rarely is a sense of 'unity' most of us don't seem to know how to live without segregating themselves in some way or manner... Be it due to the color of their skin, their language or even the shape of their noses... While there are some of us that live in harmony with the land, there are still many humans who would use any excuse to steal or even kill other humans." She explained.

"The place I used to live with my tribe... The great plains, the same land my ancestors walked upon long before we were born. We were raised and taught by our ancestors to respect the land, the spirits and be grateful for everything it gave us. With breathtaking mountains and plains extending as far as the eye can see, a place were we could run freely, feel the earth with our bare feet and the clear air." Ayita said with a distant expression and a faint smile.

In the middle of Myra's innocent 'investigation' she did notice that the creature grumbled something and moved a little bit, but instead of making her stop, it only made her even more curious. It didn't appear to be capable of hunting or a predator of some sorts, otherwise it wouldn't be sleeping so soundly in that occasion.
It didn't take too long until the creature woke up due to Myra poking and 'investigating' it though. While it didn't appear to be particularly happy to be woken up at first, it's expression quickly changed, passing by a multitude of expressions and feelings as he jerked himself away from Myra.

Myra tilted her head as she curiously observed the creature in front of her, particularly amused by the radical changes in it's expressions in just a few seconds. Upon first opening it's eyes, it had a clear hostile look on it's face, quickly becoming a frightened one when he finally saw Myra and finally becoming a bewildered and curious one when it realized Myra wouldn't attack him.
Interestingly enough, it did seem to be as curious of Myra as he was of him, carefully analyzing her as she looked at him.

After a moment, he got up, with a wide, albeit slightly forced smile looking at her. While Myra didn't understood all the words he said to her, she did understand that whatever he was, he referred to himself as 'Darius'. What Myra noticed immediately when he stoop up was that he was noticeably taller than her, not even if she stood on the tip of her toes (which she tried) she was able to look at him face to face. Using her tail as a support, she coiled a small part of her long tail under her, using it as a support as she stepped on it, standing on the tip of her toes so she could look at his face better, analyzing another one of his expressions.

After a brief moment, she got down, bending her knees and wrote a single word on the earth with her finger.

"Myra"

Finished, she stood up and looked at him once again, retributing his smile with an adorably innocent smile of her own.

Time: After midnight
Location: In the woods of the peninsula west of Sun Elf Village.
Interactions: @Potter - Corvina, @Tae - Kenia, @Alivefalling - Aklenroth's bony boi dragon.

Rei's mind reeled at the word 'summoning'. Someone actually summoned him- them... humans. A million thoughts ran through his mind, her words not fully settling in. He let Corvina balance herself on his frame, still seeming unwell. It seemed absurd, right, summoning a bunch of hapless humans to fight their war for them. Rei couldn't dwell in his thoughts, his mind now focused on the roaring behemoth barreling straight towards the trio. The elf- Kenia, urged them to escape, seemingly willing to sacrifice herself for some strangers. Everything happened too quickly for Rei to process, the forest burned around them. He was thrown aside by Corvina, who turned to face the danger.

Before Rei could get up, heat gathered around Corvina's hands and a ball of flame emerged and sputtered towards the dracolich, deflecting flame with flame. She stared at her flame-engulfed hand, looking as dumbfounded as he did. "Are you sure you're human?" Rei exclaimed, nonplussed. No, she had to be human, she was on earth. Then how did she do something as insane as she just did. Despite this surprise, the dragon seemed indifferent to the flame- That dragon looks... angrier, can dragons even look angry? Rei hoisted himself upwards. Their only chance at getting out non-burnt lies between Corvina and Kenia.

"Kenia, why does Corvina have fire powers?" Rei asked incredulously, "And do you have magic powers to help her out?" It was a vexing feeling not being able to help, but he felt utterly helpless versus a dragon. Rei loathed this feeling, it tread dangerously close to the feeling during his childhood. No, he promised himself to never feel like that ever again. Something built inside Rei- a mix of consternation and rage. As these emotions bubbled, the air around him began to vibrate violently with an ear piercing ring. Rei felt the need to expend this surging energy inside of him. A burnt tree fell towards the trio and with an unconscious swipe, the tree was violently thrown to the side, between them and the dracolich.

Rei would not have believed it if he hadn't seen it. He somehow casually threw a hulking tree aside with wind. He grabbed his shaking arm in an attempt to calm himself. The feeling felt freeing, somehow like the void, an image of a certain bald character flashed in his mind. "What in the hell..." Rei said. Were humans just handed power like candy in this world? He focused on the situation at hand, he could mull over the ridiculousness of it all later. "So, magic is a thing. Any solid plans to get out alive with magic?"

Raising a brow to Ayita, Inori shrugged his shoulder as the group slowly made their way towards what would hopefully be salvation. The light elves, or sun elves, disliked Inori in equal measure to his own disdain towards them. However, the elves were known for their wisdom, and while turning away the demon was a plausible possibility, they would not echo the same welcome with Ayita. How trustworthy the demon was strung along a sense of irrelevance. What bound him to helping this pig-skinned creature revealed a mutual interest. Aklenroth’s position on a throne he had coveted was a truly unacceptable reality, one neither Inori nor most of Avalia appreciated.

"I do not know why the first demon decided to follow the Lich," Inori stated shaking his head. His own time with the creature, or more accurately, leading a section of its army, came from birth, not choice. When decisions were introduced, Inori took his leave. Complications were scarcely involved. Naturally, personal reasons were present, and the demonic creature suffered loss at the hands of this beastly undead. It was what opened his eyes, what made him realize that demon-kind was making sacrifices for something so lowly. A pretender.

"My kinsfolk would not look favorably upon me, I fear," Inori continued, his small claws slowly combing through glimmering hair, as if a blanket of starlight beneath the moonshine.

Though Cade’s fascination with the Sun Elf Kingdom was an endearing sight for others to behold, Inori was less excited about crossing their borders. These entities were his opposites in both ideals and nature. Where demons were creatures of passion and chaos, elves embodied law and peace. They would manage to interlock inner harmony in reflection with water and oil. The results were quite unsuccessful. Even so, the demon remained quiet throughout the remainder of their journey, his thoughts traveling far and wide, from the golden city they were approaching, to the volcanic home of demons.
Part of him missed it, of course, his home. He had abandoned much when he discarded luxury and nobility in favor of his own ideals. An ultimate sacrifice painting him a traitor in the eyes of the very people he wished to free from shackles they had locked onto their very own ankles. Foolishness at its best.

Inori rubbed his eyes, those crimson orbs reacting to the light slowly casting a blanket of illumination across treetops and ground, alike. The sun was rising in the horizon, and what awaited the group in the distance were the gates of elven glory. With a deep breath, Inori paused. For him to venture further would have been the very same thing as an elf attempting to enter demonic soil. It made little sense, and his presence would likely cause hostility which would require a moment to disarm. "Move along without me," Inori spoke, tapping his chin, in thought. "I will head another way, and see if demons would listen, rather than blindly obey."

He raised a clawed hand towards the two, Cade and Ayita, before wishing them farewell. The sun elves would more than likely assist in the girl’s safety, but an air of distrust would have been consistent with Inori’s presence. Something he did not feel a need to deal with. Not now, not when he had something to do.

Xenelith

"You're far from home, dark elf! Serving a king whose only true companion is his folly, a trait you seem to share, how about you save your sorry hide and step down before you get put down?!"

Rage on, small fairy. Keep speaking. Keep boasting. I’ve seen a thousand amongst my own brethren. Just like you. And I stand here, not them. Xenelith thought though he kept them for himself. The stranger was quickly becoming a real nuisance. Yet he didn’t even dare to mingle in the fight. No, he just swooped in to save the female human. So in the Dark Elf’s eyes, he was nothing but a vain, overconfident thing. Someday he’d teach him a lesson but now he had more important things to do. Elthrael might think he got away. He might even think he was superior over Xenelith because he wasn’t chased. Prey thought like that. They look behind them, see nothing and think they’re safe. Nothing was further from the truth. Xenelith had seen his face.

His attention turned back towards the battle. These fairies. Such brats. Not for long. No, when the army came marching he would make her life a living hell. She too made the terrible mistake of never hiding her face. In fact, none had even tried it so far. Weak prey. Stupid prey. His dogs would make short work of them. Even now they were running straight for them. Only to be caught by burning bolts. Singeing away fur and burning flesh. They cried out, though one managed to bite down. They tasted blood now and pain was a great motivator. Now that everything was going south for the enemy, the once brash fairy suddenly spoke with pleading words. Weak prey. Stupid prey. She could not gauge a predators threat. How did these girls even make it to the resistance? Even as she spoke with weaker words, they still conveyed the same message: 'You are wrong. We are right.' He wondered by what right she could still claim that. To his enjoyment, one of his wolves bit her hard in the tight. But when the fire hit, the pain made him let go. Two of the fairies were now bleeding and the dry grass was catching fire quickly.

The terramancer managed to hurt his companions the most. Ferra got wounded badly, yet the black panther was not a threat to take lightly. Literally. She did manage to get up, blood spilling from her wound but ready for a real fight now. Yet a sharp whistle from Xenelith made her run away instead. In fact, all the wolves dashed towards the dark of the forest again. All of them were wounded, some having tasted blood. However, to Xenelith’s distraught, only three wolves made it to the shadows. The Fox-human had murdered one of his own.

Suddenly things got cold for Xenelith. It had been a long time since someone killed one of his friends. He looked almost calm. As if the heat of the battle could no longer get a grip on him. Slowly he sheath his sword but the dark magic that surrounded him expanded. Blackness began to pulse with red power. Pain fed his power. Pain and hate and rage. All those things he felt now, at that moment. He took a step towards the fox. As blackness crawled over the ground, so to did it crawl over his skin. Black veins crept upwards under his skin, like an infection. He spoke of leaving and taking his friend with him. He wouldn't allow it. Her blood was upon the air. He could smell it. The black infection now crept up along his neck and along the right side of his face.

Power surged through his hands. He could feel it. He could see it! The veil that seperated life and death slowly revealed itself. But at that moment he was faced with a terrible choice. Vengeance or rescue. He could see beyond the veil now, if only it was all vague. In this state, almost everything looks like a thick fog with dim lights within them. He had read countless stories about it. There were no concrete shapes. Everything was ever chanigng. Like smoke in a gentle breeze. There were two glimmers of souls that stood out to him. That of Kyran, the killer. It was a red light, where everyone else's was white and pale. Xenelith knew what it meant. The promise of a curse if taken. But the pale blue soul of Relivan, his trusted hound, was quite apparent as well. Steadily growing ever paler. Such was the nature of dark magic. There were no easy choices here.

He chose for the soul of his companion. The veil sight pulled away from his eyes. He stood with his arm outstretched. In his fingers, a pale light shimmered. Darkness was now quickly reseeding from the area. Xenelith clutched the soul close. “I curse you and your blood, fox." He said, spatting out the word 'fox'. "As long as I breathe, your kin will never know peace. Runaway now. Run and know that I'm in every shadow. And when I’ve found you, I will make you watch how I slaughter your kin and torture your friends. You will never know peace.” Then he slowly stepped backwards into the treeline of the forest surrounding the clearing. Unnatural shadows wrapped around him. In an instant, he was nigh untraceable.

Time: Dawn
Location: Wilderness Between Orc Landing and Illuminata Kingdom
Interaction with: Myra @13org

Darius' smile was much longer-lived than he intended it to be, and it was all because of how amused he was by Myra's actions. She actually tried to stand on her tiptoes and now she used her tail as sort of a stool and tiptoed so she was looking at him face to face. For a moment he almost forgot he was in such a strange world. The delightful distraction was enough to have him not worry about whether or not Myra could speak.

A soft chuckle escaped him just as she crouched down to… write something? Darius tilted his head before moving to Myra's side to see what she had written.

"Myra. I like it." Darius moved back to his previous place to face the now smiling Myra. Skar had become a distant memory. Darius had a new companion now, and though she couldn't speak, he was enjoying her company. And that's what companions were for, right?

I can't wait on Skar to eventually get back… And I kinda don't trust her to not change her mind and sell me to that Dark Lord guy. I don't know that much about Myra, but she's adorable. Just look at her. She actually smiles! Darius had a choice to make, probably the first real one since being in Avalia

"Myra, would you like to be partners? You and I on the road… Well maybe off the road sometimes, but you know what I mean. Well I hope you do." Darius shrugged not knowing how else to say at that point. "We should find something to eat too! It's time for breakfast, so lead the way Myra!" He said as he pointed randomly pointed to the west.

Time: After Midnight
Location: Forest of the peninsula of the Sun Elf Village
Interaction: @Inertia-Rei @Potter-Corvina @Alivefalling-Dracolichh

Kenia watched the dracolich closely, paying attention to the signs of flame about to erupt from the dragon. She prepared to use her magic as a shield for all of them, but suddenly she was yanked out of the way. She almost lost her footing, but managed to catch herself only to spin around and see the human woman with flames erupting from her hands. So her magic dealt with fire. That was good to know.

Her attention was then drawn to the forest now on fire around then. ”Fuck me.” She grumbled in irritation as she glanced around, trying to devise an escape plan. She watched as Rei flung a tree with wind and took note of that as well. She pulled up the black cloth she used to hide her face over her nose to try and help filter out some of the smoke along with pulling up her hood. It would also help protect her identity if they came across any more of Aklenroths goons. She also pulled out two strips of cloth that she would typically use for her own injuries. She thrust one at Rei before moving over to Corvina. She threw up a large shielding dome of light to protect them for a moment from the dracolich. “Put these clothes around your face to help filter the smoke.” She told them as she quickly tied the cloth over Corvina’s face since she realized her hands were still engulfed in flame.

”Yes you have magic, but right now it’s raw and fueled by emotion so it is unpredictable. I too have my own magic, but we don’t have enough skill to defeat this dracolich. So we need to run and we need to run fast. I can create a distraction for a short moment so we can get out of here, but I need both of you to focus on NOT using your magic for now.” Kenia spoke as quickly as she could, knowing her shield wouldn’t protect them forever.

She created a weak shield around her left hand before grasping Corvina’s flame engulfed hand, gritting her teeth at the slight burning and praying that she’d figure out how to dissipate the flames soon. With her right hand she took Rei’s and then focused her magic on creating a mirror image of them. ”Run!” She said quickly as the dome shield dropped with her use of magic to make the illusion. She sent the illusion to the southeast as if they were running towards the Sun Elf Village while she took their group directly south in hopes to eventually cut back towards the Sun Elf Village or head towards Roshmi City instead. She needed to get them all to safety before she could answer any more of their questions.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Midnight
Location: Near the River Kingdom-> Heart of the forest.

The human girl had accepted his embrace, his form which would whisk her to a safe haven, deeper within that forest of wilderness.

Elthrael was slightly surprised over how little it took to convince her to go along with him. Not only that but she had begun to bury her head in his chest, and and squeak as he lift himself and her from the ground, his dark fairy wings spreading wide. He could hear the sound of something. Metal? Not to mention that she held the ability to summon flame, an idea which both intrigued him but also made him wonder if the forest was the best idea to take her.

He turned his eyes down to the chains which were now hanging below, he moved his sword and lifted them up to the girl's arms.

"Hold unto them." Elthrael said in a soft but serious tone of voice, then with a burst of speed flapped his wings and darted off, deeper into the forest with Elsea. To her, he may have been seen as a saviour, a god descending to whisk her away from all harm. In his eyes however, he saw a rare beauty, a rare and powerful beauty which he could potentially form into a weapon. A more powerful weapon.

The girl was bleeding, tired, slightly clad in iron and also full of questions. Elthrael memorized her questions as they flew past the first thirty or so trees, he didn't asnwer them right away, he made sure to keep himself and Elsea under the crown of each tree. High enough to provide safety from grounded foes, and low enough to hide his presence from things such as avians. Which he knew many hunters used. Such as falcons and hawks. Or crows and ravens, which were the prefered choice of scouts and mages. Then ofcourse there were the occassional owl and dove, which was a more common choice amongst fairies and elves.

The dark winged fairy set his eyes at Elsea briefly, opening his mouth and magically causing some flowery pollen to be blown out over her, originating from his mouth. The dustlike pollen would spread slightly as his wings would flap, and become more spreadout through the area.

"That will cover your scent... temporarily." Elthrael said in a soft tone, as he air-dashed around the next tree, holding unto his newly captured human, making sure not to drop her. His sword still in hand, for he could not be too certain who else could be watching.

Though once he had gotten deeper into the forest he finally decided to answer Elsea's questions. "Amongst the fae folk, I would be a god. This is my domain, my kingdom. I protect this forest from those which would seek to ruin it." He said in a soft tone to Elsea's ear, then softly blew some air at it mid-flight.

"You are in Avalia, dear human. The world of elves, fairies, beastfolk and more... wretched things. You were sent here by one of my kind, to aid Avalia against a tyrant... a tyrant which seeks to kill you, and any other human which may have been sent here." He said calmly, the foilage around was getting more dense as they came into distance to the core of the forest. That was were Elthrael himself made his home, in a hut, closely located to a spring. The area surrounded by dense foilage, vines, trees and roots. Poisonous flowers and thorns would decorate the outer borders of it, to ward off and warn any animal or would be explorer to turn back.

"But I will not allow it. I will not let you die." He said in a determined manner, finally landing in the vicinity of his hut. Then loosened his grip on her, and instead reached up his hand to Elsea's chin. "This is my castle. If the tyrants minions dare set foot in here, we shall have to enlighten them of their folly to challenge the natural order. You have earnt the protection of a god of nature." He smiled warmly, sheathing his sword and moving both of his hands to hers. "Now we have to take care of your injury and your... shackles? A prisoner of your world?" He asked as he began to channel his healing magic into Elsea's hands, the magic taking form of a green glow.

Elsea looked at the chains as the man lifted them into her arms, but took them realizing that it was probably dangerous to let them just hang there to potentially be caught on something. She remained silent as he didn’t immediately answer her questions, taking the silence as a sign that now wasn’t the time. She watched as the trees flew by, completely in awe of how she’d gotten to this place.

Soon he was using some sort of magic, explaining it was to temporarily cover her scent and she looked up at him in confusion. ”Ach I don’t smell that bad!” She told him, feeling slightly offended at the insinuation. Than again she realized that she had been in a cell for the past two weeks, so maybe she did smell a bit. She wasn’t about to admit to that though.

The man continued to speak, confirming her suspicions on where she was. She was with the fae folk, she was in the land of her gods though she didn’t remember it being called Avalia. That was a new name for this realm. And this man was considered a god among his kind? Was he one of her gods? Perhaps he was Cernunnos, the horns fit the description of them yet he didn’t seem to fit the goat description.

”So I escaped the pyre only to arrive somewhere where I’m also viewed as a threat? That would be my luck.” Elsea said as she let out a humourless laugh. She felt as if she were on the verge of a complete breakdown, not sure if she wanted to just cry or scream. She sure as hell knew that if anyone tried to harm her again she wasn’t going down without a fight. She’d somehow find a way to summon that fire again and burn them. How ironic that she would be gifted with fire magic. If only the people back home were here, she would burn them all.

She was lost in thought so she jumped a little when Elthrael reached his hand up to her chin. She looked up at him, a mild blush spreading across her cheeks as she did so. ”Um...thank you. But why did you decide to help me?” She asked him as she watched him take his hands in hers. Perhaps it was stupid to trust him, but at least he wasn’t attempting to try and kill her. Anything would be better than death at this point. ”Aye, the people of my world fear me. They believe me to be a witch and so they were going to burn me at the pyre. I’d love to burn them instead.” She replied, voice full of ire at her last statement. She watched as he began to heal the injuries of her hands, rather amazed at the magic. ”I’m Elsea, by the way.”

The cry of sorrow escaping Risa's lips caused Dionaea's attention to divert back to her, and her wings to take her back to the ground. The smoke was heavy, filling her lungs and clinging to the fabric that adorned her. "Risa!" she exclaimed, coughing as her lungs filled. Coming to the grass, the weight on her left leg caused the fresh bite to sting as she came to her friend's side. Risa was exhausted, the color in her cheeks drained from their usual color. Kyran was soon at their side, scooping her petite body into his arms. "We will not leave you, ever." Dia said, wrapping her hand around Risa, giving it a gentle squeeze.

The heavy veil of smoke made the dark elf's voice linger like honey in their ears, and on the back of their throats. He cursed them, and in the depths of her heart she knew that his threat wasn't empty. It made her sick to her stomach, when he told them to run away. It was then Dionaea felt for the first time a tinge of regret. Their home was being destroyed beneath them and their loved ones lives were put in danger; all for these humans who may not even want to help them.

Anger filled the young fairy's voice as she looked to Kyran and Risa, and then to the human. "Human!" she snarled, looking at him yell at the wolves and the sky. "We must leave immediately, and at this point in time I do not know the worth of keeping you alive, besides to honor my friend's wishes." she said, her furrowed eyebrows relaxing as she let out an exhale. "We have to hurry, she needs rest." she pointed to Risa, encouraging the broken one to use what brain the creature had to know this situation was in dire need of his participation.

Elthrael Vol'Kerno

Time: Midnight (later)
Location: Near the River Kingdom-> Heart of the forest.

Elthrael allowed his healing magic to do the trick, not speaking until it was over. Her wounds were minor, so even his efforts at healing would suffice. While not as strong as his manipulation of plantlife, his healing magic was mainly used for minor wounds and cuts, and in rare cases stab wounds or bigger cuts. They were much more tiresome to mend. Once the healing magic had mended Elsea's wounds, the darkwinged fairy finally spoke again, with a warm smile on his lips.

"Why I decide to help you? There are many reasons. You are a human, a rare thing in this world. You are a beauty to behold, that too is a valid reason. You are also like me, flung into a world which is trying to kill you. So I do think theres plenty of reasons of why I would aid you. What is the best way to infuriate those trying to kill you? It is to live." He gave a soft smirk, as he inspected her over, this time more closely. Those iron shackles would have to be removed, not only for her safety but also his own. His kind was vulnerable to iron.

"A witch? As in a user of magic? Well seeing those flames you called forth, are you saying you are not? Not that it gives them any right to put such a blazing marvel like yourself to the torch. And they do say that dessert is best served cold, I think that is a lie. Don't you? I think the same can be said for revenge." He mused softly, moving closer as one of his hands still held unto hers, the other reaching up to touch her firelike hair. "Elsea? Such a fine name for a gem unlike any other. My name is Elthrael Vol'Kerno, and I am not only going to offer to teach you how to survive in this world, but also how to thrive in it. Although first we have to get these... shackles away from you." He said in a troubled manner, and then let go of Elsea.

He looked over at the ground and then pointed one of his hands down towards it, calling forth a few vines from the ground. "Do not fret. These shall open that which has you trapped." He said reassuringly, as he attempted to slide the vines and some smaller roots into the lock mechanism of the shackles, or in the lack thereoff, tear the parts holding it together apart. Without causing harm to Elsea herself.

"I think a bath, some new clothing and food would do wonders for you. There is a spring over yonder, the water may be abit cool for the hour, but it will aid in removing some of the scent you humans carry. So that various vile beasts will not be able to track you down."

The fairy explained as he went into his hut briefly to fetch a soft looking green blanket, before coming back out again. His steps graceful, as if he was light as a feather. "This way..." He nodded towards a shimmering thing in the distance, which could have been the forementioned spring. "Worry not. I shall keep watch to make certain nothing will bother you."

Time : Early morning
Place Near the River Kingdom (burning forest)
@MissCapnCrunch@Legion02@Alivefalling@princess

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The creatures had fled and he stared at the panther as it left, "Run creatures... I will burn your forest!" he yelled as he slid the sword into the scabbard which held his old sword, it was smaller and thinner, but the scabbard will hold it. He gripped his hands tightly as he pulled off a branch from a nearby tree and allowed it to find its way into the fire. There was not much burning but the stick, but it would do for a short time until he found a decent amount of safe time to make a decent torch of some kind.

He turned and began alighting the tree branch had came from before he moved to the two small fairies, looking at the conflict between the fox man and the witch. Holding the branch out as he slowly caught the trees between the two on fire, and he looked back, "Both of you grab onto me... we are leaving, you creature which mimics an angel." he said pointing to Dionaea, and then holding the branch. "Take this and burn every other tree we pass..." he said as he moved his shield under Risa lifting her up. For an ancient medieval soldier he was decently fed. "Hold onto me... you will both need help mimics, we head in the safest direction... the strongest bastion in which I can plea in gods name for aid against the witches and demons.." he said softly so hopefully the two behind him, hoping the flames would spread before they would notice the three escaping.

As Kuroi ventured through the nightly streets of Roshmi City, it wasn't long until he encountered the loud clopping of horse hooves on the pavement as he traveled into the heart of the city. From his perspective, a lovely, quiet night could only be ruined if there was some sort of emergency that required such cacophonous methods of travel - this was not the case. Driven by a mix of worry and curiosity, he followed the sound produced from the steed until encountering the crowd the unlucky man had landed himself into. Kuroi immediately sniffed at the air, ironically recognizing such an unfamiliar scent; one that was similar to his own but more akin to his human half. The demihuman immediately rested his hand on his fan, although he figured that he might not need to draw his weapon against the hussar, he figured that any sort of interaction with him could land him in jail. His hand on his weapon calmed his nerves as he approached the man, attempting to speak to him in English.

"Hail, armored rider! May I ask what business you have here?" Kuroi asked, raising his left hand upwards to wave at Grzegorz.

Although the night mostly shrouded Kuroi's animalistic features, if one looked close enough, ears and a tail as black as the night could be made out on his person. Not to mention that the tip of his tail was a brighter color than the rest of his fox-like traits. He was already well aware of what might happen if he didn't at least take a mild effort in obscuring his non-human features. After all, the man seemed quite disturbed! The kitsune kept his tail still and his ears flattened against his head, hoping the darkness would aid him in not causing further distress to the man.

He was not having a good time, having the time change from day to night, being in a world of demons and now being approached by a woman with a fur cap, and an odd but deeper voice, a little foxy. She looked somewhat normal, just that she had a lot of furs on. Maybe that is what was wrong, people were wealthy and dressed weird, yes, I must be tired thought the Winged Hussar.

"Kobieta, która ma futro jako przykrycie, idź do domu, jest już dla ciebie za późno. Przynieś mi twojego męża do rozmowy, chcę wiedzieć, gdzie jestem." he raised his lance back up and with his free hand he waved Kuroi away, looking for someone who does not wear animal ears and tails. Savages and barbarians all of them. "Przynieś mi swojego lidera, chcę z nim porozmawiać!"

"Ottoman?" he asked looking around at group, lowering the lance and letting his horse rear at anyone who would get near.
