【Additional Appearance Information】
【Eye Color:】 Strawberry 【Hair Color:】 Umber Brown 【Height:】 5'5 【Weight:】 101lbs 【Style:】 Arina's style varies across the different aspects of her life. On the odd occasion, her duties as leader of her Noble clan call and she adorns herself in the most extravagant of gowns and kimonos. The price of the finest silks is of no worry to her, and whether it be formal or work, she will wear them. “The only aspect of her that supersedes her beauty, is her vanity,” - Pachid once mentioned Kaizo. 【Clothing:】
【Equipment Location:】 Arina straps her sword to her left hip.
【Extra:】 Arina has a family sigil tattooed on the top of her left arm, which she has modified over time.
【Character Profile】
【Personality:】 Arina's charm is her greatest and most dangerous feature. Cunning and calculated, throughout her life she has always made an effort to know others, and know them well; this shaping it to be her greatest weapon. She's incredibly attentive, rather than immediately interjecting herself into a situation with an opinion, she'll stand back and watch. She's been trained to analyze every detail of a person's actions, every idiosyncrasy, every small tick. She hears every quip or quake and even the slightest pause in a voice - helping her to read the subtext of their true intention. Her upbringing was perhaps harsh, but with her position and rank in the Gotei 13, she was almost thankful for the vigorous and brutal techniques imposed on her by her Clan. Learning the key to one's desires was her specialty, and once she knew that, the rest was easy.
Once being described as “A Siren cloaked with Chameleons skin,” she has an incredible knack for adaptability, fitting in with most groups and cliques - often talking her way out of most altercations, making herself invaluable to a situation, if possible. She appreciates loyalty, and generally makes a point to pay back favors given to her, for the simple reason, she’d rather have debts in her favor, than owe anyone. Often seen as generous, there’s always an ulterior motive to the things she does for others; her guiding star is “what’s of use?” and over the long years, she has refined her methods of getting what she wants, to near perfection.
While most would call her a “Friend”, she wouldn’t say she has too many - it’s an incredibly tricky thing to juggle and those “close” to her, dance on the edge of a temperamental blade. Despite all this, her peers would best describe her as a vibrant, mischievous, and at times brash woman, who deems to defy the term “Modesty”. She presents herself with grace as the wise, giving and frail Princess her Clan trained her to be. She laughs when she ought to laugh, she smiles and compliments where she ought to compliment; her eyes turn sad and she lays her heart down for those who are hurt, showing compassion... when she ought to show compassion. Even if she were to throw someone under the bus, she would have a clear and logical explanation, which details her reasons as to why there was no other way.
However, charming as she might be, her dedication to others is brittle as bone, and those smiling and soft pink eyes of hers can change in an instant, is she so chooses. Really, it depends on the day. It comes down to a factor of two things - effort vs. reward; and if effort outweighs the reward, she’ll blatantly explain her reasoning, for the simple reason, people who are not worth the reward, are not worth the time it takes to pretend that they are.
It could not be said however, that her loyalty is easily broken - of this were the case, she’d have to give it first. Every one in awhile, she's staggered. As rare as they come, there are few who she doesn't feign respect for. There are those who could ask her to give them everything, including her life, and she'd happily do it. Once she deems one worthy of her loyalty, it’s fierce, and they have it for life, despite any wrongdoing they may have done to her.
Her unbreaking cool composure is perfectly matched to the ice in her veins, and even in some of the darkest times, her expression is that of pure indifference to the situation. Very rarely serious (much to the dismay of the Third and Fourth Seats), she tends to mock and poke fun, rather than settle into work. Her most often worn state of mood is her carefree and incredibly flirtatious nature - making for awkward situations when she tends to get up close and personal with others, without any regard for personal space. When forced to shake her carefree nature she will speak without regard for formalities, respect, rank or offence. She will speak the truth she sees, buntly, and without regard for delicacy.
Her relationship with her Division is split, divided by those who admire her, those who despise her, and those who fear her. She cares not for the whispers of "Murderer" behind her back, she cares not for the stories of which claimed her as an Omen of Death, dooming all who accompanied her on Missions. For they are simply stories, and despite her lack of personal care for the individual souls of the Division in her care, she cares for her pride. And to kill and take a life that she deems as "Hers" or "Under Her Protection" is most offensive to her. While her motives for protecting her comrades with her life may be slightly selfish and flawed, one can always guarantee, she'll either be dead or victorious before she allows herself to be so easily disgraced. In saying this, she would point out that there is a difference between being murdered and being too weak for the job. Those who went ahead and got themselves killed, well, that was on them.
Forward thinking comes as naturally to her as breathing. Because she has such optimised control over her emotions, her mind is able to remain clear in most if not all situations. This gives her extreme confidence in her abilities to drive a situation in her favor - she is highly strategic in her planning, insisting that she has many back up plans to her goals; however, she is also impatient and sometimes lets her own arrogance get the better of her. Because she has so much confidence in herself, she is often rattled when someone manages to deceive her. She is very resilient, but she borders on self-destructive at many moments.
She has a tendency to hold trivial grudges. It all depends on the day, it's often not because she's offended; rather it's because she's amused by the situation. In reality, it's rare for her well polished smile to be traded for a frown. Her rage is not easily tapped into, nor easily broken; she detests even the thought of any emotions that could cloud her judgement.
【Biography:】 Arina was born to one of the Great Clans of the Soul Society. She was the Princess of the Kawagana Clan, never wanted for anything. And while one may toy with the fantasy of living a life of riches and comfort, like a Princess, the reality of it, Arina wouldn't even wish upon her greatest enemy. Torn from the womb of their lifeless Mother, she and her Twin Kiyoko led incredibly separate and secluded lives. Often in isolation from all, including her unruly older brother and other close members of family.
Arina was the first of the two to be born, and the laws of the Clan stated that she would be groomed and primed to be the Lady of the Clan, tirelessly forced to pour over thousands of books in the Clans library, and learn everything she would need in order to one day be the perfect wife. To one day stand aside another Noble Clans Leader, as his bride, and be able to efficiently and effortlessly assist in his rule. Nothing would bring the Clan more shame, than to watch one of their great noble allies fall because of the failure of a Princess.
While other young children played in the field, with sticks or dolls, she spent her hours, in front of a mirror, learning every muscle in her face, and how to control it. For years, she refined the art of emotion and expression - and only graduated when there wasn't even the slightest of falter in her smile when beaten within an inch of her life. And from there, once she had mastered the art of etiquette, she went onto the next topic: mastering the art of reading others.
All the while she expanded her knowledge through vigorous and almost cruel methods of education. Not only did she need to be versed in most subjects, she needed to be fluent in all matters of diplomacy; and when being questioned in regards to even the most remote village in their world, it was imperative that she knew it so well, that when she answered the question, it would sound almost as if she were reading it from a book in her hands.
After many years of studying, it was time to begin at the academy. This period of her life, was harder than she would like to admit. Not only was she training daily and pushing herself to extreme limits, her Clan did not allow her to cease her training at the end of the academy day, and upon her return to the Clans compound, she was to spend her evenings, training with her Brother and his advisor, Pachid, until she no longer had the strength to stand.
Any free will or defiance for the Clan was to be snubbed out at the first sign of resistance. Methods crafted by the Second Division for the sole use of breaking the spirit of those who dare defy the Soul Society, were used as disciplinary methods for the Kawagana children. This would remove any fabrication of dreams and independent thought. She was a Soul bread and created for one purpose. And in the same way, a doll was carefully handcrafted to the makers desire, Arina was carefully crafted to fulfill the Clans purpose, and there was no room for even the slightest derailment.
Once she graduated, she was immediately placed in the Second Division, where she quickly climbed the ranks. While her skill played a part, her father, the Captain, wanted to keep a closer eye on her. In his mind, there was no point in focusing her career, as she would likely give that up when she found a suitable match. He felt it necessary to oversee most of her tasks, as the Princess he had primed her to be didn’t seem to learn from her mistakes in defying him, rather seemed to get better at hiding it from him. A fact he found incredibly sardonic when he gave it thought.
After the fall of the Seireitei, Arina was all of a sudden Leader of her Clan and looking to be the next Captain of the Second Division - two titles she didn’t much care for. Her entire life she had shaped herself to be a particular person suited for a particular role, only to now be irrelevant to said role, with her sister in her stead and ten times the responsibility thrust upon her. The thought was bittersweet, in being free from the one thing she dreaded, she now lacked purpose.
It wasn’t until an unruly ex-third seat came across her and offered her a position as his lieutenant. To this day, she couldn’t put her finger on what possessed her to accept; perhaps the lower rank was more attractive, it meant less responsibility (or so she thought), or perhaps he was attractive… it was impossible to say. But she would soon find out that being Lieutenant to Kaizo Tataki was the exact position her Clan had raised her for, just with the freedom of not being forced into a political marriage. She was the perfect fit for Division Seven, and was the charming and friendly smile that often got Kaizo out of being reprimanded for all the damage he caused and trouble he stirred up.

【Relationships】
【Kaizo Tataki - Division, Seven Captain】 【... Superior Officer?】
Despite their very different personalities, Arina admires Kaizo. From the moment they came across one another, had been a sort of, lasting sense of comfort in one another's presence. It is a friendship completely void of judgement, in which the two fully accept every aspect of their lives and who they are, and are still completely at ease.
【Pachid Koizumi - No Division, Unranked】 【Clan Advisor】
Arina and Pachid have known one another since they were children. Both raised in a similar way, she, to wed for political alliance and he, to dedicate his entire life to the Kawagana Clan, and stand beside its next leader and be his closest advisor. He was one of the people to train her during the painful years of her physical trials. His role originally stood him beside her older brother, Osama Kawagana, but after his unfortunate demise, Arina was next in line. Whether it's duty or affection that drives Pachid to do as much as he does or sacrifice the amount of himself that he does, Arina will never know. He seems to be the only one who can get away with insulting her the way he does, or calling out her flaws and mistakes. But at the end of it all, she hold an incredibly high level of respect for the man, and he, her. Despite them never having intended to be stuck with one another, it's an incredibly rare sight to see her without him.
【Kiyoko Kawagana - Division Two, Captain】 【Twin】
Despite Kiyoko and Arina being twins, they are almost completely estranged. Because Kiyoko was the second born, she was raised with discipline, yes, but not even a quarter of the expectation to learn, achieve and perfect. If there was a dream in which the Kawagana Clan and its inner workings were ever deemed "normal", Kiyoko had the most normal upbringing. Because of this, the sisters never really bonded, and therefore, when they were both promoted to Seated Members in the Second Division, they treated one another more like colleagues than sisters. Nowadays, they acknowledge their blood bond, but that's as far as it goes.
【Skills and Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
【Fighting Style:】 Arina has a strong survival instinct and sense of self-sufficiency. She doesn't care much for fighting, it’s not like she doesn’t enjoy the exhilarating magical feeling of violence and war, she’s simply too lazy. She rather opt out of a fight or allow someone to take her place, simply so she doesn't have to get her own clothes hands dirty. Trickery is her general game; she’ll first try to talk her way out of a fight before she draws her Zanpakutō.
She is incredibly perceptive in and out of battle, this makes it easier to find a way to break her opponent down and talk them into losing focus. She watches for slightest changes in body language and facial expressions. Even the smallest twitch of an eyebrow is enough ammunition for her to be able to try and burrow under her opponents skin. Not only facial twitches, she scans the body for any muscular twitches that could give her an indication of a forthcoming attack, helping her to perhaps avoid taking a hit.
Her small frame lacks overall strength, and in a battle of muscle she'll ultimately almost always lose; but her small frame however, allows her to be quick, stealthy and agile on her feet. If forced into a fight, she'll often try to use her skill in Hohō to wear her opponent down before stepping in to use her mastery in Zanjutsu. Incredibly analytic, she's incredibly cautious and careful in her movements, her keen reflexes almost always trying to ensure an escape route or dodge by relying on her nimble and flexiable movements.
If a fight is drawn out and there is no escape, she'll fall back on the abilities of her Shikai in the hopes of ending the battle quickly and with as little fuss as possible. The only thing she'll use less than Kido is her Bankai. She finds Kido spells to be rather a rude and impersonal form of battle - and if she's going to fight, she will fight with dignity; regardless of whether she tries to slink out of the fight at every chance she gets.
【Masteries and Proficiencies】
【KidoProficient】
Arina has kept up with her Kido knowledge, however, she doesn't ever train, and thus her Kido skills are incredibly rusty. She isn't a fan of the art, in fact, she finds the use of spells almost rude and impersonal. It's incredibly rare to see her use the proficiency, and it's not often done very well when she does.
【HakudaExpert】
While Arina is quite experienced and talented in Hakuda, she still doesn't live up to the skill of her Captain, and still has much to learn when using hand to hand combat. She often avoids physical violence, and thus isn't often brought to throwing punches unless she finds herself disarmed - something Kaizo made sure to remind her can happen.
【HohōMaster】
Arina's entire physique is based on her speed and reflexes; thus making her mastery of the skill all the more important. She has spend endless hours and even days, working on her speed in order to make it the one capability she is rarely rivaled in.
【ZanjutsuMaster】
Arina has trained rigorously in this area and in doing so begun to master it. While Hohō definately helps her evade, she also needs to be able to strike, and so she trained until her fingers bled from holding the hilt of her blade.
【Zanpakutō】
【General Information】
【Mitsu no Dakkan Sha - (光の奪還者 - Devourer of Light)】
【Description:】 If you don't have an image or if you'd like to add more information.
【Personality:】 Not much is known about Mitsu no Dakkan Sha - a vicious and corrupted entity, doesn't speak, but rather communicates in deep demonic growls. It's not hard to understand its dislike for Arina, however, as it if often trying to drag her into her innner world to try and possess her. The Spirit acts much like that of a classic story book Demon, desperate to take her body as its own; which seems to be its only goal. Unique to most of its kind, Mitsu no Dakkan Sha is often able to manifest itself around the place, using Arina's Reiryoku. It can generally be seen stalking the Division Seven barracks, but has been known to venture as far as Divison Two and Ten. Those who have the poor luck of running into the creature are generally traumatized by it as it often runs at them and tackles them, screeching in their faces and kicking them a little bit before disappearing into the shadows once more. It's incerdibly rare that it will actually attack anyone; however, it can't be said that Mitsu no Dakkan Sha has never carried out an assault on an unfortunate soul.
【Shikai】
【~"Sono Hakkō no Gochisō, Mitsu no Dakkan Sha!" (その発光のごちそう Feast on its Luminescence)~】
【Ability:】 Akin to the spirits appearance, the power of Mitsu no Dakkan Sha is that of a darker element. From the seemingly beautiful flowers that bloom at its hilt, fall dark ribbons, almost as if they're tying the small bouquet together. These often move and twist and stretch, like little tendrils of shadows, and that is exactly what they are; Arina manipulates and warps them to her will. Her Shikais ability allows Arina to change the consistency of the shadow; for instance, hardening them to be used as extensions of her blade, or making them incorporeal, allowing her to enter them and travel through them at a rather disquieting pace. The amount of control over her Shikai is something that comes rather naturally to her, in terms of summoning it and balancing the amount of energy and upkeep required in order to see the battle through. However, her control over the Spirit inside is a different matter entirely. The Spirit within the blade is known to manifest itself as a larger version of one of the Legion creatures it creates, not often attacking others, as it cannot draw the strength from its unwilling wielder; it generally wanders the area, often terrorizing those who cross its path.
【Techniques:】
【Name:】 Kutsū - 苦痛 Agonising Pain
【What is it?:】 Several tendrils of shadow rise into the air before curving down toward the target, striking down as several arches that pierce into the enemy from above.
【Appearance:】 The shadows quickly wrap around the opponent as to make a circle and then shoot upwards, curving over and downwards, hardening and then striking.
【Name:】 Ma Yari - 魔槍 Demon Lance
【What is it?:】 Arina slashes her Sword in an upwards motion towards he sky, flinging the tendrils of shadows upwards into the air where they morph into four lances. She then brings the blade down and the lances detach, raining down on her enemy.
【Appearance:】 The tendrils split into four, morphing into Lances and then hardening.
【Name:】 Jigoku no Shōheki - 地獄の障壁 Infernal Barrier
【What is it?:】 Arina stabs the blade of her Shikai into the ground, and the ribbons join together, creating a black shadow sphere that encloses her inside before it hardens. It make for a good defense, but can be shattered by enough brute force. Thankfully, Kaizo is her Captain, and so she's able to work on bettering it in comparison to his strength.
【Appearance:】 It almost appears as a shadow like egg.
【Name:】 Fujōna Ashiato - 不浄な足跡 Unholy Stride
【What is it?:】 Derived from her Mastery in Hohō, the tendrils stretch out across the area, allowing her to step into them in and travel through the cover of darkness. These allow her to travel at a speed perhaps even faster than the Senka.
【Appearance:】 Like the picture below, just without the faces.
【Name:】 Kurai Kubire - 暗いくびれ Dark Constriction
【What is it?:】 The tendrils of shadow from Arina's Shikai wrap around her opponent, binding them as they constrict like that of a snake. Arina can then harden them and use the tendrils as blade. Before she can do this however, she must have them completely bound - if she hardens the tendrils too soon, her opponent has a better chance of snapping them.
【Appearance:】
【Techniques:】
【Name:】 Gundan - 軍団 The Legion
【What is it?:】 A large group of animalistic shadow demons, disjointed and humanoid with no facial features crawl out from the shadows in the surrounding area and attack the opponent. Although these entities are not very strong, their sharp claws have the power to slice the skin and they have the strength to spear tackle an unsuspecting victim.
The amount of entities depends on Arina’s physical state and how much energy she has already wasted on battle. These shadow demons are fast, but easily defeated - lesser opponents run the risk of being overwhelmed by the number of entities trying to attack. When angered, they will try to pin their opponent; ripping their mouths open and screaming in the opponent’s face.
【Appearance:】 The demons are no taller than three foot, and are animalistic in nature, their claws are long and sharp as knives, and as they crawl forward, their limbs dislocate with a symphony of sickening clicks and cracks. They seemingly have no eyes, however, they can see - they seemingly have no mouths, however, on occasion, one will tear open its face and a horrific and deafening screech will escape the depths of its throat.
【~"Owari No Nai Kyōbō; Sore o Tōshite Watashi Wa Anata Ni Fōmu o Fuyo Shimasu, Mitsu no Dakkan Sha! (終わりのない共謀。それを通して私はあなたにフォームを付与します Collude Without Ends; Through Which I Will Grant You Form)"~】
【Ability:】 There are two stages of Arina's Bankai, and two outcomes, depending on how she's faring in the battle. The demonic aspect of her Zanpakutō is as prominent as ever, with the demon further manifesting its aura while attempting to engulf Arina in its shadow. Her Zanpakutō slowly tries to cloak her, constricting her body with its many tendrils of shadow as she uses her first ability. Once she has been completely engulfed in the shadow, the second technique of her Bankai activates. The shadows harden, much like her Shikai's Jigoku no Shōheki, and inside a transformation takes place. Once the shadow recedes, one of two possible figures is left behind.
【What is it?:】 The spirit of Mitsu no Dakkan Sha manifests itself before the opponent, making up for the physical strength Arina lacks. The demon does not speak, it simply makes animalistic noises as it’s claws, as sharp as double edged swords, slice open new wounds on it’s victim. However, when the shadow demon is injured, the injuries are transferred to Arina.
This ability allows him to control it from a distance, while she goes about the battle in a strategic way - perhaps slipping behind her unsuspecting enemy while the shadow demon keeps them distracted. Her range; however, is limited - for instance, from her office desk, she would not be able to manifest the spirit over in the rukon district. She would, however, be able to control it within her Division and she’s working to expand it to the Division 2 barracks so she can frighten Kiyoko on a daily basis.
Arina’s control over Inshitsuna Ningyō is exceptional and her time limit is rather extensive; while there is one, not many who have gone up against her and seen the power of her Bankai run dry.
【Appearance:】 This demon is much taller than Arina, lean and moves more fluidly than its lesser form of Gundan. Instead of pure shadow for features, it's face hold home to two bight eyes, that seem to pierce through the very soul. The Reiatsu that leeks from its skin makes it look as if the shadow is somehow radiating off of its body, giving off an unnerving and barely audible bass like sound.
【Stage II:】
【Name:】 Dōka Suru - 同化する Assimilate (Outcome I)
【What is it?:】 Arina has essentially merged with her Zanpakutō Spirit, and had its full power at her disposal. Her speed is increased tenfold, and she no longer needs her tendrils of shadow to pass through in order to maintain such a frightening pace. Rather than needing to control the tendrils of shadow with her blade, they now bend to her will with the wave of a hand, allowing her to trap others with her Kurai Kubire with much more subtle and swift movements. The assimilation with Mitsu no Dakkan Sha boosts her skills and attributes and makes her the perfect killing machine.
Not often needed or used, as she is incredibly careful as to not lose control, the Gundan. This time, the shadow pools around her, and the creatures crawl out and attack head on, rather than spawning in the dark corners of the battlefield and surrounding their enemy. Without shadow restraints, Arina is also free to use her Zanjutsu mastery and attack alongside her horrific creations. The most draining ability of her Second Stage Bankai, she often avoids using it at all costs.
【Appearance:】 Arina stands slightly taller and darker haired Arina, her light strawberry coloured eyes changed to a dull charcoal and her clothes transformed into something a little more grand. Her Zanpakutō is void of all its colour and much longer, sitting in a brown hilt on her hip.
【Stage II:】
【Name:】 Dōka Suru - 同化する Assimilate (Outcome II)
【What is it?:】 Arina's Zanpakutō has taken control of their conscience, and it cares not for the difference between an ally and an enemy. This demon is insidious, malevolent and has an animalistic thirst for blood. As the spirit does not need to draw from its own source of power, it is stronger, faster and moves much more fluidly than Arina. It does not seem to use the abilities of its Shikai as Arina does, but regardless, it does not need them. It's long shadowy fingers are razor sharp swords in which it uses to slice all in its path - its speed making it almost impossible to see.
Arina avoids being forced into her Bankai at all costs, for this very reason. Once the demon has been released, she has no way of regaining control. She must wait until they either run out of stamina, or until it is defeated by another. She places every single member of her Division and other allies in danger when she uses her assimilation technique - as the demon will attempt to kill all in sight. If she's faced with no choice, she'll often tell her allies to vacate the area, and she'll give them time to run.
【Appearance:】 Rather than Arina being the dominant being in the assimilation, a seemingly evil silhouette of shadow stands in her place, it's eyes being the only form of light to pierce through the abyss.

【Eye Color:】 Grey 【Hair Color:】 Light Pink 【Height:】 5'5 【Weight:】 125 lbs 【Clothing/Style:】 Coming in at a whooping 5'5, Okirigae is by no means a short personality. She weighs in at about 120 and her body has the muscle definition of someone who was once a kick-boxer. She has short pink hair and grey eyes that give her an almost icy look. She is a generally blank expression'd woman. She has freckles and one scar going horizontal across the bridge of her nose. She also has a huge gashing scar going vertical down the middle of her chest. She is typically wearing the Uniform pants, with her Shihakushō draped at her hips. She sports bandages over her chest and arms as a shirt and typically this is how you'll find the woman unless ordered to dress appropriately in which case she wears the Shihakushō over her bandages instead of the standard under-wear. On top of this she typically sports her previous Captains division 11 robe. She also has a red cat demon tattoo sleeve on her right arm.
【Biography:】 Not much is known on who or what she was in her previous life before becoming a Shinigami. It is said that Kiri was a street kid with no parents, who grew up in 1800s of Japan, dying in the period that Samurai were slowly about to get disbanded by the emperor at the time. Japan was going through many changes and with laws changing on the ability to wield Katana's and kill virtually freely, the village that she was a gutter kid to, delved into a bit of lawless Anarchy. Kiri also found that she was a special person, able to see the souls for some reason. It was then that Kiri saw a shinigami for the first time. She had no idea what she was looking at seeing Shinigami contain a...monster of some sort. But she attributes this moment to why she wanted to become a soul reaper. Reaching the age of 20, Kiri doesn't remember much about how she died, but its noted that her living life is the reason she's void of emotion and hardly puts her full trust in anybody.
When she died she did not move on, as she had no one to take care of her body, dumped in the depths of a river. She was on the path to become a powerful hollow if a certain shinigami hadn't stumbled upon her on his mission. This was the first time she would meet her mentor and future captain, a Shinigami who was known as Matsurada Kenpachi. When asked why he decided to preform konso, something the man was not known for. He very rarely saved a lost soul unless it was his mission. The man would never say it, but in truth it was because of the child's latent abilities. Her spiritual presence was incredibly strong already. He had never encountered a spirit like this, and he especially took a liking to the girls personality. To him, this girl had the potential to be even stronger then him, something he had been waiting for a long time.
When he came back, he made sure she was accepted into the academy anonymously to get the first year crash course. He wanted to see how she would handle herself. However in this first year, Kiri made a name for herself, for when she was given a blank zanpakuto, everyone present could only describe a pure sense of rage coming from the child, or more specifically the sword. From that day the other first years steered clear of the blank faced quiet girl. Things only escalated after getting disrespected and starting a fight with a third year. What began as getting a brutal ass kicking ended finally with her beating the boy much to a surprise of everyone watching. After having to pull her off the boy, they had almost decided the girl was going to be too strong for her own good until Matsurada personally stood up for her, saying that after her first year he would personally train her and take her into his division.
She had become a complete outcast at this point, everyone fearing her. Upon finishing her first year and getting down the basics of what it means to be a Shinagami. It was then Matsurada showed up and told the girl to follow him, that she was being put in a special class before leaving without checking to see if she was following. At first the girl was frightened by the man, feeling his overwhelming spiritual presence and it making her feel sick. At first Matsurada attempted to be nice to the girl, not giving her direction, simply seeing what she would do if left to her own devices. The girl wanted to be as far away from the man as possible, and left to her own devices, trained on her own in the forest of Seireitei. She used trees as her opponents at first, using her Zanpakuto with one hand. Matsurada left her to her own devices for years, letting the girl teach herself how to use her sword, getting a natural fighting style to surface from her.
By this point in time, Kiri had fought with her Zanpakuto in her inner world. It was there that she proved to the sword spirit she was worthy of using their power. She had lost horribly, but had not once given up determined to beat the spirit. After this first lost, she felt a new resolve to train and beat her Zanpakuto. And thus began her monthly sparring with her Zanpakuto, it training her to fight an almost overwhelming opponent. It was countless losses, but each time she only gained a more solid resolve. This is where she gained her love for fighting and in particular strong opponents. After ten years of fighting her Zanpakuto and never winning once, in a display of absolute frustration and rage, she beat Basaka. It was then she was able to use her shikai, and Matsurada had been watching from a far when she finally showed she could use her shikai.
It was from this point, Matsurada had begun training her, through constantly beating her ass, much like her Zanpakuto would. At first he would simply overpower the girl with his fist, never using his sword. This only further pissed off the girl. Trying harder, to no avail, much happened int he same way she had fought her Zanpakuto. Matsurada was not teaching her through words but action, forcing her to study and pick up on his movements. He brought the unwavering side of Kiri out, forcing her to learn how to combat an opponent many times stronger then her. However Kiri simply viewed this as him being to hard on her. She began to almost hate the man, not for who he was, but for the constant ass kicking he handed her. While her training was going on, Matsurada had already claimed his third seat for her, saying she had more then proved she was capable despite not winning once. He could see how much she was improving and in truth he was hardening her, making her resilient to his spiritual presence. Hardening her body and her mental resolve, she wouldn't know it, but she was improving leaps in bounds every year this went on. It was until she had been well into fifty years of being a Shinigami that she was able to scratch the mans face, catching him off guard completely.
With her finally able too touch him and still stand will doing it, he had his Lt, Haruzato Tozuko, teach her the proper way to wield a sword. Haruzato had watched the girl fight with her captain, and though she never admitted it to anyone, could have very easily taken her spot if the girl had ever thought to challenge the woman. But it seemed Matsurada even after all these years hadn't told the girl the true reason he was training her personally. It was apparent to anyone who knew the man, he was training her to take the captain chair away from him, probably in some battle that he would end up dying in. Regardless, Haruzato began to teach the girl Kendo, seeing that the girl had adopted this way of fighting with one hand on her sword. However, after teaching her the basics, it was incredibly apparent that teaching Kendo to someone like Kiri, could lead to very very horrible outcomes. It scared the woman how fast the girl could pick up Kendo, and best her easily, reading her moves and countering without the woman taking so much as a step. Kiri for one didn't like the way of fighting, feeling as though it made fighting to easy. Now after a hundred years being a Shinigami, she was done with the thick of her training. Matsurada had her accompany him and his Lt on missions, telling the girl to fight whatever their missing was without the aid of him or Haruzato. Of course this typically ended with her brutally slaughtering anything that regrettably attack the girl.
And for a time this was how their division operated, Kiri gaining more and more field experience, both Matsurada and Haruzato watching with amusement. However all this would change 200 years into Kiri being shinigami. For there was a storm brewing under the waters of Seireitei that would effect Kiri in a way she had never experienced before.
【Personality:】 The way Kiri carries herself fits her almost perfectly, from her personality to her voice, it all fits to well. If she were a part of an anime, she would most definitely be a part of the Kuudere category. Kiri is...cold when around people she doesn't know, she doesn't mean to be cold or anything like that, it's just her personality. She tends to honestly act like an emotionless robot at times. When in the presence of others she is in particular quiet and keeps to herself unless spoken to, it's just been one of things that she developed from being the protege of Division 11 at a young age. If she happens to smile at you with in a day of meeting you, that means she has taken quite the liking as she doesn't do that quite often, if ever. When around strangers and friends it gets awkward for her, because one moment she is nice and the next she could be quiet and to the point.
Talking to friends she is exceptionally flat toned and her jokes are pretty crude humor. It does wonders when making jokes funnier because of her tone, she personally doesn't realize it but apparently it is quite funny to hear her talk people. She has this sort of thing she does where she'll just be quiet and the next moment she'll start talking out of the blue to her friends, she even does it in the middle of important things. Like mid crisis and they are on a mission that could win the war and she'll just out the blue be like "I'm...really hungry, do you think...we could get food after this?". She doesn't do it on purpose it just her mind is so scattered it's just comes out.
There is another part of Kiri that tends to go under the radar, but she is quite the ruthless fighter, on account of her emotionless personality, she has a habit of not backing down when she knows she has a chance. She doesn't really view anyone particularly scary. This tends to be the most reckless part of her, as she'll never back down from a fight and tends to heavily hurt herself in fights that require her to fully fight. She has one of the strongest resolves and if you find yourself at the end of her sword, pray she takes it easy on you. On top of this, she values braveness and/or fearless people with the upmost respect and is a sure fire way to make a friend out of her.

Matsurada Kenpachi: Former Division 11 Captain/Mentor
Matsurada was the person whose responsible for Kiri being a shinigami. He's the reason that shes on Division 11 and now the reason why she has claimed the Title of Kenpachi. He is her entire reason of being, the person who gave her, her resolve. Her purpose as a Soul reaper some might say. He also is the first time she ever felt emotional pain, after siding with the previous Head Captain and watching him slaughter the unseated who didn't agree with his choice. She is responsible for his death and the reason she is now Captain of Division 11.
Haruzato Tozuko: Former Division 11 Lieutenant
Haruzato was a lot like an older sister to Kiri. She was the one who would take the girl to the infirmary after sparring with Matsurada. She would make sure the girl was in the proper attire despite her never being properly clothed and was responsible for making sure the girl learned the formal rules of being a shinigami. She also was the person to explain how to preform Konso and helped her move on her first spirit. In stark contrast to Matsurada, Haruzato was the voice of reason in division 11, and the only person who might have cared for Kiri more then Matsurada.
〄 Kurotuo, Mitsue 〄: Division 10 Captain
100 years ago, during the uprising when she fought her Captain, when she was hit with a bone shattering attack, she crash landed into the barracks of Division 10, where a man saw her batter body unconscioua. He was there for the awakening of her horribly strong Bankai. Then after pushing him out of the way one of Matsurada's Suicide Swings, she took the battle else where in order to not endanger 10th Division. Now current day, Mitsue is a true friend, finding her after the aftermath on the uprising cleaning her barracks, for whatever reason the man wouldn't leave her alone. Now a days she feels as if Mitsue is an older brother and thought she'll never admit it she enjoys his presence.
【Equipment】
Shīringunekkuresu:
Much like how the name says, this is a sealing necklace made by Division 12 after the events of the last battle in the war started by the Head Captain. In that fight, Kiri's Bankai awakened and the power that came with it was uncontrollable for her. The battle that ensued between her and the previous Captain of Division 11. In the wake of the battle, she was unable to release the form, the power so destructive it began destroying the area around her. After knocking her out, it was agree'd that the girls Bankai should be sealed for the time being until she could learn to use it properly. It is made of a powerful custom sealing kido. It would require an immense power to break the kido and when attempting to use her Bankai, the collar will glow and burning red and electrocute her with an intense amount of power.
Containment Gloves: -Featured in her picture- Simply a pair of white gloves made at the request of Kiri once again by division 12. The gloves help her regulate her immense spiritual energy. They help contain her power from destroying whatever maybe at the end of her attack. It also allows her to spar or fight with people below her level, letting her distribute her spiritual energy into the gloves and lowering her power
【Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
Fighting Style:
Her fighting style is focused on brute strength and durability, she will fight till she literally is dead or incapacitated. Hence her alias "Crimson Berserker" which was given to her by the previous Division 11 Captain. She is known to even be fierce in sparring matches. She is looking to overwhelm you with sure physical power and ruthlessness. One of the reasons the previous Captain of Division 11 took quite a liking too her, was of the fact she has naturally immense spiritual presence, once described as looking like a huge red cat demon face. She has the ability to release her full spiritual presence in an over whelming way. She is able to use her spiritual presence as a way to scare opponents and can even make it disappear with intense focus to hide herself from opponents, though very rarely will she, as she'd much rather face an opponent then hide. Kiri never uses Kido, though she is Proficient, she thinks its a useless skill and as such you will very rarely see the woman use it if ever. Instead, she uses mix of Hakuda and Zanjutsu, using more of the former. With her Master level proficiency in Hohō, she uses blindingly fast attacks with brute strength to try and overwhelm her opponent. Her Zanjutsu is a little more unique, used to greatly increase her Reiryoku and as a result giving her a powerful level of Reiatsu. Kiri is a deadly mix of an instinctual and calculating fighter. While she is a brute strength fighter, she understands that it will not always be the way to win and as such is constantly analyzing her opponents movements. Its one of the reasons she's so quiet, she is constantly aware of her surroundings, looking for an opportunity to fight or spar. Her fights end up destroying a lot of the area from her strength and as a result she wont hesitate to use a giant piece of rubble to disorient/distract her opponent. Kiri relies on her sheer incredible combat skill more then her Zanpakuto, but that is by design of her what her Zanpakuto power is perfect for someone of her fighting style. Not only does her strength and speed make her a threat, but she is incredibly resilient, given her alias, she does have the fighting style much more akin to a berzerker. Becoming a formidable fighting machine in combat, she cares very little about pain in combat and with the special training the previous Division 11 Captain, learned to make her body incredibly durable to blunt force attacks. She also has a secret way of fighting, revolving around the use of Kendo and traditional sword fighting. She is incredibly powerful with two hands on her Zanpakuto and more then often uses it as a trump card in the event she experiences an opponent as stronger if not stronger then her.
【Masteries and Proficiency】
【KidoProficient】
Kiri never uses Kido despite being able to output powerful kido. She finds it useless and as such has never been seen using kido in battle. She has some knowledge but in terms of Shinigami arts, this is at the bottom of her priorities or agenda.
【HakudaMaster】
Because of her style of fighting with one hand typically on her weapon, she is a master in incorporating her other hand and legs in her combat. She would do well in the ranks of Division 4, but Masturada decided different. Sparring with the man allowed her to adopt his similar style of fighting. Mixed with her strength and speed, she is a dangerous person even without her blade and if caught under her grip, pray she has mercy.
【HohōMaster】
Part of Matsurada's training taught her to be incredibly fast. She has amazing natural reflexes and is known to be able to travel great distances while carrying people without tiring. Honing her Hakuda skills, she naturally became greater at Hohō.
【ZanjutsuExpert】
She doesn't quite fit the definition of an expert in Zanjutsu, more so someone packed full of spiritual energy. She is able to control the length and size of her Zanpakuto, opting to keep it in standard length. Shown in her shikai, she is able to lengthen the blade a few feet out from where it truly lays, using spiritual energy to create an invisible extension. She has great control over the amount of spiritual energy she can put into her swings, increasing her damage output with focus and as such Zanjutsu is engraved into her fighting style.
【Zanpakuto】 Basaka-Kuin
Sealed State
~"I am death and those who do not fear me...shall"~
Additional Description: Instead of the red wrap on the hilt of Basaka, they are wrapped in bloodstained cloth. The blade is also much more red in person, giving it an eye popping appearance and has the inscription "魂の破壊者" or "Destroyer of Souls" engraved on the blade. The Zanpakuto's appearance herself is much more sinister looking. Taking the form of a giant Cat-like demon, she is covered in spikes and the color of blood with piercing yellow eyes. Walking on all fours, it doesn't open it's mouth when it speaks to Kiri, seemingly using its mind to talk. Kiri keeps the Zanpakuto within the size of a regular size Katana. Also Inner World & Spirit:
Ka No Heigan
Seemingly inside of a Volcano of some sort, Basaka resides within a huge Magma waterfall in which she comes out of whenever Kiri approaches him here. Within the magma filled cavern, stone platform-like rock pillars stand in a flowing magma river below it. The world is deep and seemingly goes on forever but at it's center is the huge Magma waterfall Basaka resides in. The cavern itself is filled with orange glowing crystals and chunks of missing stone, aftermath of Kiri fighting with Basaka every now and then. If you were to some how find yourself with in this world, escape as soon as possible...
Zanpakuto Personality: Basaka is a very intense Zanpakuto, definitely not for the weak minded/willed. A female spirit, she seemingly represents the pure rage and aggression that resides within Kiri. It shares the same conviction of Kiri, in that it is constantly looking for a fight and welcomes it. The spirit itself will constantly test Kiri to make sure that the woman never loses her edge and will make a point to make sure Kiri never wavers in a fight. Basaka is ruthless and pure rage, and in times of trouble, pushes Kiri to go beyond her own boundaries. There is a much darker side that Kiri consistently has to control, being that Basaka is compassion less. She does not care that the opponent begs for their life, or surrenders, if it where up to the Zanpakuto, she would have Kiri fight every opponent to the death.
Shikai
-Without Sword-
~"Rage, Basaka-Kuin"~
Ability: Anyone immediately next to her will see her body covered in a skintight blood red aura, before she pulls her Shikai out of her chest, revealing her Shikai form and making all the red aura splatter in a circle around her. She instantly heals from any damage taken prior to using her Shikai. Vastly increases her spiritual presence, strength, speed. Its main ability gives Kiri no sense of pain, able to fight without fearing pain. The more damage she takes, the stronger she becomes. It causes her to lose the ability to hide her spiritual presence completely as well. When her Shikai releases, it causes spiritual tremors in the air that weaker spirits of any kind will seemingly find it harder to breath and/or focus. Her control over her Zanpakuto is loosened causing her range to extend three feet from the actual length of the sword.
Techniques
Rage Blessing: When using this move, Kiri's body is covered in a nearly invisible armor of thorns. Giving her a powerful armor on her arms and legs, she gains incredibly small thorns over her body, cutting anybody who touches her directly with their hands. It can also be used as a shield of sorts, able to touch spiritual energy based attacks and redirect them away from her. This allows her to use her hands and legs as blades similarly making this move especially deadly for close combat fighters. It also has been shown to allow her arms, hands and legs to take more attacks, allowing her to care less about damage to herself or her opponents attacks.
Chaos's Revenge: Upon receiving damage or parrying attacks with her Shikai, she can take that damage and focus it into a powerfully devastating energy wave attack. Following the path of her slash, it can be used after receiving a small cut, or as evidence shown in the final fight of the battle that took place in Seireitei, allow her to send a energy wave so powerful it could cut buildings clean in half. This power can increase in power, per say if someone where to cut her arm off in combat, this technique would be especially powerful. It is also noted, she can cause damage to herself on purpose to also build up damage for this attack.
Queen's Anger: Her strongest Shikai move, is a double edge'd sword, effecting anyone who stand in one meter circle around her is affected. Queen's Anger causes anyone in the circle of effect to feel and almost overwhelming heat. Poor souls to have ever been around Kiri when it was activated claimed it felt as if their very bones were burning up. Queen's Anger causes Kiri's immense spiritual energy to literally blast the one meter area of effect, causing the heating effect. It has shown to literally burn opponents without a strong spiritual energy, and heat the surface in the effected area. It is capable of vaporizing water instantly and prolonged activity in the AoE will cause intense burns on the victim.

【Character Profile】
【Personality:】 Shion is a very quiet and reserved individual. She is slow to trust, but around those she is familiar with her mannerisms change to be much more vibrant and expressive. She finds joy in improving herself and helping others improve, making her a popular Lieutenant among many squads.
【Biography:】 An orphan who grew up in the Inuzuri district of South Rukongai, Shion learned from a young age the value of not fighting battles you can't win. With a powerful appetite due to her high Reiryoku level, she found herself often running away from much larger and stronger people whom she stole food from, resulting in a high mobility level. Her ability to make precise movements was also improved by her theft. One day after eating enough to have a full belly, she found herself trapped by several larger adults who wanted revenge on her. When one pounced, she accidentally used Flash Step in her desperation to escape, though she didn't realize this at the time. After that day, she spent much of her time practicing to figure out how she had managed to escape, eventually leading to her mastering some very basic Hohō. When she was older, she was caught using Flash Step by a patrolling Shinigami who recommended her to the Shinigami Academy to become a Soul Reaper herself.
Though her natural aptitude for Hohō and Zanjutsu were high, she spent much longer at the Academy than the average student due to a complete lack of Kido ability. This extra time there wound up sharpening her skills in every category except Kido, much to the chagrin of her teachers. She made no friends during her time at the Academy due to a combination of fear and resentment towards her due to her being from Inuzuri and her lack of communication skills. For much of her time there, she didn't speak a single word to other students, a pattern that grew from her past where speaking to the wrong person could result in death. She was only allowed to graduate by request of the Squad 5 Captain, who saw something in her potential.
Originally a member of Squad 5 after graduation from the Officer's Academy, Shion was renown for being the first on the scene when problems arose, even among Squad 5 which prided itself on its speedy activity. This led to both respect and resentment from the other members, especially when they learned of her complete lack of Kido ability. Due in large part to this split opinion of her, she remained unseated during her entire time in Squad 5, despite her skill in other areas. In spite of this, she enjoyed her time in the squad and had great respect for her Captain, especially since it was due to her that Shion was able to become a Shinigami in the first place. This made her betrayal of the Seireitei to join the Head Captain all the more painful. The squad split into those loyal to the Captain and those loyal to the Seireitei under the leadership of the squad's Lieutenant, where Shion found herself opposed to the Captain she admired. This schism led to her once again rarely speaking, something that has continued to this day.
After her distinguished service in the battles between the two sides, and due to her natural aptitude for speed and skill, she was selected to be the Squad 2 Lieutenant and part of the Stealth Force. It was during these battles that she mastered Shikai, and has since learned but had yet to master her Bankai.

The Squad Captain was the one who made it so that Shion could join the Gotei 13 instead of being stuck in the Shinigami Academy indefinitely. They knew each other for several years before the Captain betrayed the Seireitei and destroyed Shion's trust in her. Shion still feels mixed emotions about her to this day; anger and sadness at her betrayal but gratitude for all that she did for her.
【Skills and Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
【Fighting Style:】 Shion fights by concealing her presence and striking decisively, running away when the odds are too far against her. She uses zanjutsu almost exclusively, only fighting with hakuda when absolutely necessary and she is incapable of fighting with kido. In fights where the opponent never lets down their guard, she has intense stamina that can outlast most enemies. She focuses strongly on counter attacks rather than forward attacks if sneak attacking is not an option. She is incredibly quick and agile with both her body and her zanpakuto.
【Masteries and Proficiencies】
【KidoPractitioner】
If it can even be called "practitioner" at her level, she has zero aptitude for kido and has a hard time even getting it to work well enough to fail, let alone use it correctly. As such, she's abandoned it entirely in both everyday life and battle.
【HakudaProficient】
She is capable of defeating most opponents in hand-to-hand combat, unless they are specialized in it. While she doesn't rely on it in battle, she will use it if the opportunity arises or there is no other option.
【HohōMaster】
She is one of the best at using Hohō in the entire Seireitei. She can cover vast distances in mere moments with very few steps. Her footwork in battle is also almost unmatched by those not Captain-level and even quite a few who are.
【ZanjutsuExpert】
Shion is incredibly skilled with her zanpakuto in both its sealed state and skikai. While she has a bankai, she is still learning to master it so she avoids using it in battle.

【Description:】 Shion's inner world is a grassy field under a starry sky in which her zanpakuto spirit resides.
【Personality:】 Kireikage is an anomaly that is difficult to understand. It seems to have Shion's best interests at heart, and wants to avoid needless things.
【Shikai】

【Ability:】 Kireikage's release is that of a small knife, approximately 10 inches in length. This form allows for more Spiritual Power to be released and for the Reiryoku normally used to form the blade to instead be used to increase Shion's speed to extreme levels. The tip of the blade is also extremely tough, capable of piercing most things even if the sealed state could not.
【Techniques:】
【Suiatsu Borotsuku:】 Blocks an attack by using only the tip of her blade against the tip of an opponent's blade, throwing the weight of the opponent's attack inverse to it's origin, often causing the blade to fly out of their hand.

【Ability:】 Megami Kirei-Kage takes the form of Kireikage's hilt with no blade, instead a blade of pure black Reiatsu is formed and further Reiatsu swirls around her. This Reiatsu works as both offense and defense by moving to automatically protect her from attacks and by being moved by her will as quick-moving ethereal blades to cut through enemies.

// A P P E A R A N C E
Casting a mountainous shadow as he jaunts around the Seireitei, Taro is a man of notable proportion. His good-humored and amiable aura does a good job of dispelling his innately intimidating figure however. His chiseled countenance make for a robust and strong face, surrounded with hair so red it's only seen on the ripest of apples during the summer time. With a wild and unkempt manner about him, his impressive musculature and broad chest is often first to catch the eye. Years of enthusiastic workouts make him look more like brick than flesh and bone. Complete with a brimming smile Taro cascades his way through the various streets and alleyways of his home, if it weren't for his Shihakushō some might suspect a caveman on the loose.
Taro wears his Shinigami uniform with pride. His sleeveless haori stamps him with the ninth division he leads whilst his Zanpakuto sits nestled in his obi sash, its Tenné wrap offering some harmony in colour against an eight pointed tsuba. In his leisure time Taro enjoys wearing his slate Kimono and striped Hakama. Something about its stylish aesthetic relaxes him during his past time hobbies playing music and painting. With a white poppy emblazoned on its back it is often what he will wear during official barracks inspections and in the privacy of his personal quarters.
Overall Taro comes across as a friendly giant, and finding that people hide their true feelings when faced with a rank rather than a name, he is adept at the little touches of dishevelment that make him more approachable.
// P E R S O N A L I T Y
Taro is by nature, a leader. A friendly giant to some, an assertive tutor to others. Noble and idealistic, he is a person who lets history run its course and acts according to his impulses. Stubborn and obsessive at times, Taro is introspective and reflective, constantly trying to better himself and find challenges that push him to his limits. Iron sharpens iron, after all.
His motivation in life is perpetual self improvement as a result of a deep-seated fear about destiny and his fixation on being ready when his time comes. His ultimate desire is gain enough power that he can not only face his fate head on, but grab it with both hands and mold it how he sees fit, to leave a legacy that will never die and pass through the ages as a hero.
He cares intensely about the bonds he makes and the friendships he has nurtured throughout his time in the Seireitei. Prone to emotional actions he sees his purpose as a protector and will always risk his own well being for those he loves. As Captain of squad nine Taro enjoys the arts, he believes the mind needs just as much improvement as the body and strives to do so with music, painting and literary works, particularly enjoying his editorial duties in the Seireitei news magazine. He has also adopted the annoying quirk of slapping his friends on the back in celebration, not knowing his own strength, they rarely welcome it.

In his early days as a Shinigami Taro was not the man he is today. Unseated in the ninth division he was in awe of the upper echelons in the Gotei thirteen and had convinced himself that he would never sit with them side by side, as an equal. He wasn't out of shape, or particularly lazy but his confidence and his commitment that hindered Taro and it was around this time that he was noticed by his former Captain.
Jiro Mizushima was an involved leader, he inspected all the members of his squad and made a point of befriending and extending his helpful hand to any that needed it. Taro was only too accepting of his embrace and over their limited time together, he was unseated after all, Taro made an impression onto his former captain, convincing him that there was a suitable Shinigami in him, it was just begging to be free.
Under the tutelage of Captain Mizushima, Taro began to make strides in his training. He was particularly fond of Hakuda, perhaps a lost remnant of the past life Taro had no memory of. However this was cut short. Not long after Taro was earmarked for a seated position in his division, the coup happened. The head Captain along with a handful of his underlings betrayed and attacked the Seireitei, the ensuing combat was vicious and exhausting, frightening and lasting.
Taro found himself running rings around the barracks looking for his fellow officers in any attempt to control the situation, but it was chaos. Taro finally believed he had found respite when he appeared to have found his Captain. At the end of the long alleyway just outside of his own quarters Taro smiled at his relief, before it turned to a look of shock and horror. He watched as his Captain backed away, seemingly he had just fought whomever stood around the corner, out of Taro's sight. He did not look good. His Haori was split, blood dripped from his limbs and Taro remembers seeing his Zanpakuto, loosely gripped but in its released form. He fell to his knees, and muttered something to his assailant, out of earshot. Taro extended an arm and prepared himself to charge to his captains defence. Until the flash of a blade caught the light, and ended his Captains reign.
Taro was frozen. He could not comprehend what he had just seen. As if he wasn't really present he turned and slowly walked in a daze of shock. For the rest of the battle-filled night Taro wandered the Seireitei looking for a purpose, a new path, a new reason. He came across another Shinigami, seemingly as lost as he was. Barely functioning, Taro simply followed the man who would later become his friend and the two escaped his hell together.
In the following years Taro had internalized the events that happened. In such a chilling example of mortality, Taro found drive and determination. He followed the example his former Captain had set for him and worked to become the Shinigami he now knew he could be. Applying himself to each and every discipline, Taro forced himself forward. He was intent that when his time came he would be ready, that what happened to his mentor would be a harrowing, yet learning experience.
Keeping his friends close, and his conviction razor sharp, Taro rose through the ranks. It was an emotional moment, when he was offered the Captaincy of the ninth division. To sit in the seat that Jiro once had, and to be given the chance to mentor his officers as he once was. Taro shed a tear, and accepted the position with an staunchness that would serve to define him to everyone that knew him. As his first act, he built a shrine on division grounds to their previous Captain. A remembrance and a message, that the ninth would never stop moving forward built on the lessons of the past.

Jiro Mizushima - Former Ninth Division Captain ◆ His former captain holds a special place in Taro's heart. He learnt the importance of duty, preparation and leadership from his former mentor and Taro visibly becomes emotional whenever his memory in invoked. His Captain was cut down during the usurpation before his time, Taro would say, and it is a thought and feeling that has stuck with him and changed his life path.
Mitsue Kurotou - Tenth Division Captain ◆ Being friends since their academy days and having been together during the uprising nearly one hundred years ago, Taro and Mitsue have had a special bond. Since then they have both risen through he ranks of the Gotei thirteen and both reached the lofty seat of Captain. They have stayed good friends and Taro sees Mitsue as his most loyal and trusted companion.

Taro has a very dynamic fighting style, combining his Zanjutsu and Hakuda to overwhelm and surprise opponents. He likes to test himself and push his limits, often picking the strongest combatant he can find to help sharpen his own skills forcing him to grow and develop. In conjunction with his Zanpakuto abilities Taro can be a very subversive adversary, finding small but effective edges to turn fights in his favor putting foes in uncomfortable and annoying situations.
---
Hakuda - Master ◆ Easily Taro's most dominant combat style. He is a premier master of the art and as head of the Security forces he sees it as a requirement for his seated squad members to at least be proficient.
Zanjutsu - Master ◆ Taro applied himself to hone his swordsmanship skills to a level expected of a Shinigami Captain, he is considered a master and his ability with a sword has extended to his wielding of other weapons also.
Hohō - Expert ◆ The sheer size of Taro has made his mastery of Flash-step difficult, and he is far from the fastest. But with his customary dedication to the art he has attained an expert level and continues to study it.
Kidō - Proficient ◆ The weakest area of Taro's skill set. With such a focus on his physical abilities he has struggled to develop his understanding of Kidō. He is still proficient however, and can use what he does know when the need arises.

When traversing the depths of himself Taro is stood atop an impossibly high mountain, sheered at it's peak as if cut by a gigantic blade. Often peering off its edge he can only see the swath of thick pearly cloud that hugs the mountains waist, blocking all sight of any ground that lies below, if any exists at all. In the centre of the plateau, nestled among large boulders and creeping vines, is a single Japanese maple tree stretching its bowed and crooked branches to the sky and offering the asylum of its shade to the spirit that rests underneath its brazen red leaves.
As a gargantuan Orangutan it is one of the few beasts that outsizes Taro. Knotted brown ropes of hair cover its arms and body mimicking the vines that sit underfoot. Moving with an industry and exertion, the great ape suffuses and air of age and wisdom. Its presence acting like a warming embrace to Taro's soul, as if two old friends had finally reacquainted.
Laid-back in nature, it generally communicates in grunts and gestures, only taking the effort to speak in times of urgency. Neteyama has been an important figure in Taro's life. Acting less like a father and more like a grandparent, passing his foresight and caution to Taro, he is an important balancing element to his impetuousness.
Taro's Zanpakuto spirit has guided him since its inception. He has many secrets and many trials to bestow upon his wielder still, but when the time is right, Neteyama will be there for his master.

Stabbing the ground and keeping hold of it's handle, Taro will call Neteyama's name to release it. As he does so the ground will crack as if a great weight had been dropped. The dust will quickly whip around Taro and his Zanpakuto before dissipating to reveal him holding his Hammer.
About as heavy as it looks, Neteyama is a colossal sledge complete with rivets and a large ring beneath its hilt. So weighty is his released state Taro generally has to use both hands to wield it, swinging it in wide arcs and using it's momentum in whirling strikes that can break bones and topple buildings.

Neteyama is an earth based Zanpakuto. So long as his hammer is touching a source of stone of ground, Neteyama can manipulate it into Terra-kinetic constructs sprouting walls, spikes and even fists with which to fight. The limits of this power are bound by the range of Taro's spiritual pressure meaning he cannot attack at great ranges.
After being analysed by the squad twelve laboratories, Taro has come to learn that his Zanpakuto works by attaching his Reiatsu to the carbon atoms in the earth, allowing him to forcibly move them around and create the constructs that he does. Touching the source of stone with his Zanpakuto allows it to transfer these particles and inhabit it with the hammers spirit. In addition to his base ability, Taro has learned and trained himself to use special techniques within the realms of its power.
---
石件 Ishiken (Stone Fist) ◆ Invoking this name allows Neteyama so swallow or absorb stone and store it within the hammer. This increases the weight of Taro's Zanpakuto up to ten-fold allowing him to strike with immense power. He can also use this as a slam attack onto the ground in front of him inciting a tectonic wave of rock and stone in any given direction.
石顎 Ishiago (Stone Jaws) ◆ This technique allows Taro to very quickly disintegrate stone into a fine sand in a limited area and size, and allows him to solidify it again afterwards. He uses this technique as a trap, waiting for an opponent to strike at a stone wall or the ground and liquefying it allowing their weapon to pass through before cementing it in place.
百手巨人 Kategori (Hundred-Handed One) ◆ The final ability of Neteyama is to create multiple stone copies of Taro himself, as many as five in the past. They are distinguishable from Taro with a cracked brown exterior, but they match his physique and proficiency in Hakuda. To use this technique Taro must allow the ground to literally swallow his hammer, meaning he can only rely on his hand to hand combat as well, but it is a powerful way to overwhelm stronger opponents.

Releasing his Bankai, Taro presents his hammer with both arms, as if devoting himself to a higher order. It ossifies, turning to rubble and falling away, ultimately disappearing. A thunderous shock ensues, rupturing the ground, opening fault-lines. Taro explodes in a rush of Reiatsu as a long red forms and rests loosely on his shoulders complete with a large fur stole. He holds no Zanpakuto, but adopts his Hakuda stance.

In Bankai the ground itself is Taro's weapon. Stretching as far as his Reiatsu reaches, he can manipulate and attack with rock, stone and all manner of earth. His predominant way of utilizing this is via Terra-kinetic weapons. Reaching out to thin air he can form stone swords, hammers, axes and pole-arms from the nearest sources of stone. Often attacking once before allowing it to crumble away as he strikes with the next. These weapons can be large and massive, often incredibly heavy packing as much stone into its shape as possible.
Taro can continue to use his Shikai abilities but to a more powerful degree. His stone fist can be applied to all Terra-kinetic weapons he creates, whilst his Stone Jaws can now be used at a much larger size, allowing the ground to swallow entire buildings. His stone clones are also more powerful, using the minerals in the earth he is able to give them a much more believable aesthetic, serving as actual clones rather than statues with a likeness. Finally Taro has developed a couple of techniques within his Bankai state as an ace up his sleeve.
---
石歩 Ishipo (Stone Steps) ◆ A form of Hohō combined with his powers of earth manipulation, Stone Steps allows him to sink into stone surfaces and rise from others. Essentially allowing him to close the distance rapidly and attack from elevated positions, particularly in urban locations.
山切り Yamakiri (Mountain-cutting blade) ◆ As a last resort and his most powerful technique, Taro can invoke Yamagiri and pull his Zanpakuto out of the ground taking the form of a hefty Ōdachi. Holding it firmly with both hands Taro can use his Zanjutsu to it's fullest with a sword as heavy as a mountain and sharp enough to bifurcate one.

This style consists of a three-piece business suit; his slacks and shoes are black along with his vest, but his undershirt is white. Instead of wearing his jacket he lets it hand off his broad shoulders serving more as a cloak than anything else. Next is his standard Gotei 13 Shihakusho with some nuances, the under lining of his cloak isn’t one color but a rang of them all in addition to his obi. As for his last outfit, due to his time in Rukongai and adapting to the feudal samurai style world. Mitsue has adopted wearing a Shinsengumi uniform when he’s not filling out paper work or on the job, it is his more relaxed style of clothing sometimes paired with a dark yukata with a pair of geta and no socks.

His eyes are a piercing gun metal blue that’s paired with short but styled dark green almost black colored hair. The only thing left to be said about Mitsue is that he quite the attractive man only obscured by his obsessive habit of constantly smoking. As far as his zanpakuto, he keeps it sheathed in his obi directly on his right hip. Mitsue is almost always seen with a cigarette in his mouth or a pack on his persons.
【Biography:】
Life Before Death
Mitsue was the ideal child, when he was born, he never cried or wanted for anything. He was born to two loving and hardworking parents and that’s how life went for around the next two years. Although he was a single child, he never really got to experience the lifestyle that came with it since the birth of his younger sister was soon announced to him. The thought of another child always created a sense of dismay and jealousy in older children, but Mitsue was rather different. After Hanami was born, everything changed in the little boy’s life. Like any three-year-old he tried to be the model brother and watched over his sister rather diligently whilst being careful to do no harm to the fragile little baby. And so, for a time thing remained the same with the two until they were old enough to go to school. From an early age his parents spoke with him to ensure he always watched over his sister and made sure she never was put in a compromising position.
In the early school days this meant Mitsue would come to her aid whenever she would cry or get into an argument which often ended in him beating up the kid who was the cause of her pain. It was only after a few more incidents that kids far and wide learned that Hanami had a shadow watching over her, one that had eyes set to kill. Besides being his sister’s watchful protector, Mitsue grew into quite the gentleman, model student, and son. Academics was no issue for him since he was just as strict and rigid with his studies as he was with watching his sister. Sitting comfortably at the top of his class allowed him opportunities that extended into the realm of faculty and other members of the school. After school programs were also something, he took part of. If it wasn’t enough to be a leader in class, he was also a leader in teams such as the swim team, volleyball team, and finally, Kendo.
While he was loved at school and his community, he was also loved by his family all the same. Mitsue was one of those people who found pride in having such a strong connection to their family. On the outside they seemed like the model family with the eldest son accomplishing everything the first child is set up to do. However, like every sad story there’s always something else going on in the background that is shown only to those afflicted by it. Everything was true of Mitsue the problem didn’t lie within him, but rather it lied therein with his father. The reason why Mitsue and Hanami could never have friends over was because of their father. Unfortunately for him he was injured on the job and was forced to move into early retirement. Yet this retirement came with no benefits or pension since the company filed his injury as negligence. Having no source of income and a depression that couldn’t be kicked, his father found comfort in the only thing that could, alcohol.
As cliché as it might be, their father spiraled down into a pit of alcoholism and rage. For a time, things were manageable, his mother worked as a florist as she did before, Mitsue used any money from scholarships and awards to supplement his family while not having to work and Hanami was able to focus on her studies since Mituse wouldn’t allow her to work so early on. There was hope for a time until his condition quickly deteriorated. His addiction consumed his life and there was no lull in time where he wasn’t drinking. Growing quite destitute in his demeanor this worried Mitsue, he was becoming scared of the idea of leaving his mother and Hanami alone with their father. His social standing and equity allowed for him to negotiate ways to keep them from going home which was a god send. But things continued to regress, their father had decided to pick up a habit of gambling once he found out he could get into the family account.
At first no one noticed, it was just a few dollars here another few dollars there, nothing that couldn’t be chalked up to ‘therapy’ or more alcohol. It wasn’t until the spending exceeded more than him and his mother could afford to make a month that it became an issue. Thus, forcing Mitsue to go out and find work after school and sports along with his mother. Mitsue though Hanami was safe from all of this and could continue to live peacefully if he could just do this one thing for her. Little did he know his kind-hearted ideals would be dashed away in deplorable fashion. Stripped of access to their monetary account, their father went to gamble one last time betting everything he had on the table. He was easy pickings for anyone who had two functioning eyes, but that didn’t stop these men from taking whatever he had. With no money to offer and having lost every hand he played their father was now at the mercy of loan sharks.
Anyone who’s dealt with an alcoholic especially one that’s family knows that their guilt and persuasion is what destroys families, the promise that things will get better when they in fact get worse. Caught up in their fathers lies and shades of sobriety, Hanami reluctantly decided to their good for nothing father. Her shadow wasn’t with her anymore and had foolishly thought she was under watchful guidance, so he was none the wiser. In an effort to pay off his debt and save his own miserable life, their father offered Hanami as a means of payment. It worked for a time and the debt was slowly eroding until one night when Mitsue received a call from a distraught Hanami after a night went sour. It was then that the secret he had been hiding had been revealed. Seeing red, Mitsue attacked his father in a rage before he decided to end this charade and pay off the rest of the loan himself. Except the loan sharks didn’t want his money, they had grown quite a liking to his younger sister.
Not thinking right, Mitsue leveraged his connections and threatened the loan sharks which in hindsight was less than ideal. Mitsue kept close watch over his sister the next few days waiting for retaliation, excused from work and school he allowed for things to cool down before starting his life again. It finally seemed their lives were going back to normal and their father even invited them to eat out in order to celebrate. Reluctant to go, he gave in to his fathers wishes and got ready with the rest of his family. Before they could arrive Mitsue was called into last minute to accept an award on behalf of the entire school. Pressed to not miss it he left and would meet them after the event was over, that was the last time he would get to make such a foolish decision.
After the press event, Mitsue made his way back home. The even lasted longer than expected with all the interviews and questions mixed with mingling and handshakes there was just no respite. His house was dark and dead with silence, his gut immediately twisted with the hairs on his neck standing on edge. A trembling hand opened the door and flicked the lights on only to reveal what could only be explained as an execution style slaughter. The walls were stained a crimson red, furniture had been stolen and what wasn’t taken was left broken, his family had been laid to rest together. First came shock then despair, a mix of tears and vomit retched out of him at an alarming rate. Making his way to the lifeless body he was brought to his knees, cradling his little sisters’ corpse in his arms, wailing like an injured creature out in the wild.
A part of Mitsue died within him that night, blaming himself for allowing his sister to be a victim of his and his fathers sins. The golden boy was turned tragic by the media and news outlets, he was allowed to finish school, but his academics were never the same. His position on teams was turned over and he was allowed to resign from work with a hefty severance package. None of that mattered to him though, his life was worthless now. Revenge had been the only thing left on his mind, he had nothing left to throw away and he was only slightly hoping he would meet his end as well. In the dead of night Mitsue made his way to the location of the loan shark, gun in hand ready to brandish. Bursting in he startled the loan shark and as all cowards he started to beg for his life. Without hesitation or remorse, Mitsue unloads his clip onto the loans hark, furiously pressing the trigger even when there was nothing left. He stood there for awhile even cried a bit before deciding to leave the scene.
When he opened the door, he was greeted by someone else, by something else. What he didn’t know then, but now known as a hollow appeared in the doorway and with one fell swoop punctured his entire chest cavity. A cough and retch of blood escaped his mouth along with a laugh, what a timely ending to an untimely life.
Life After Death
Life after death wasn’t so bad or at least that’s what Mitsue thought. In the entirety of Rukongai, Mituse happened to have been placed in the 80th district of the north sector. It seemed rather fitting for him to start his new life there. The antithesis of rags to riches, something he wasn’t used compared to his time in the human realm. Poetic in some aspect or a cruel joke in another, regardless of which Mituse accepted it as his punishment for allowing his family to be murdered on his watch. He spent most his days sleeping and staying inside ignoring the rampant crime and murders that occurred outside. There were times that he participated in hobbies he had when he was alive (studying, kendo, working out) but it was still all for naught. On rare instances there were attempts at home invasions or robberies and every time that occurred, he killed every last one of them just envisioning the loan shark he shot. Over time he accumulated weapons, money, and whatever else miscreants carried with them and used them to his benefit.
In the violent streets of his district he slowly started to gain notoriety and title that he went by, “Kage/Shadow” since no one saw him, but he was always there. Mitsue heard that the Captains of the Gotei 13 were supposed to watch over every district, but he never so much as met or heard one come into his district. That was until the balance between souls was growing out of hand and what better way to quell such overpopulation than killing the ones that reside beyond the fiftieth district. In the hysteria going on outside of his raggedy home, Mitsue prepared himself inside for one last fight. Perhaps his life really was worthless after his family was massacred so why fight? Whatever it was, Mitsue kept fighting and surviving, waiting for the Shinigami to burst through those doors just as so many before him tried. Almost on time the Shingami entered his home only he didn’t burst through but instead calmly slide the door open.
There was no sense of killing intent or any kind of negative emotions harbored within the individual. It was strange and only left Mitsue feeling quite a bit more uneased than before. The man introduced himself as the Captain of the 10th division and while he was here to restore balance, he was also looking for a challenge. Mitsue remained silent through the whole ordeal painted before him by quite the eccentric male. Were all captains like him? Is this what the stories of the Gotei 13 were about? Regaining his composure, he tightened his grip and offered the first strike. Almost like flowing water the captain danced around Mitsue before delivering a drill of a kick to his back. This guy was different unlike the rest that proclaimed themselves as the best, no he was the real deal. The two clashed over and over each time Mitsue getting a little stronger and faster.
Little did he know; the captain was drawing out the reiatsu that laid dormant inside of Mitsue. The captain had heard of his name or rather his title and had actually paid the vagrants to challenge Mitsue all with varying levels of skill and reiatsu. So, when the time came to request permission to equalize the souls in Rukongai the 10th signed up right away. The 10th kept prodding and probing Mitsue with questions while he was rattled. With each blow Mitsue unraveled his chaotic and tragic past, the Captain using this as an advantage to draw the rest of his reiatsu out. With one final test he pushed Mitsue by referencing his deceased sister which is all it took for what was locked deep inside to explode outwards in a mesmerizing light.
After that Mitsue was recruited into the academy by request and recommendation by his Captain. The integration into Shinōreijutsuin was easy since he was a master at academies only this one was quite different than any that existed in the human world. While he acclimated and thrived under the watch of his Captain, Mitsue made his mark and soon became a star pupil to watch out for. Mitsue trained in private with his Captain until one day he pulled him aside and brought him to a different class of students. It was then what he saw what his instructor wanted him to see, it was his sister Hanami in all her radiant beauty. His soul left his body in that moment and he couldn’t help but weep at whatever fate had led him here. The 10th embraced him and knew this would light a candle under Mitsue’s ass and serve as a means to train harder than before.
And he was right, Mitsue had become a new man and trained from sun up to sun down, pushing the limits of what any Shinigami could regarding their Zanpakuto and training within their inner world. Things went on like this for quite a while even as far as taking him out on missions. The future had never looked brighter for the aspiring Shinigami and his captain.
【Personality:】
Despite his aloof exterior he exudes without notice, Mitsue is quite the opposite. He is both compassionate and kind when interacting with anyone he meets. He doesn’t believe in ostracizing or excluding people based on minor transactions or bias imposed by others. This is what made him so successful in his old life, with exception to some unscrupulous individuals that you just can’t avoid. Charisma is something else that was key to his disposition and what made him a great leader not just as a friend or classmate, but as a captain for teams and clubs. His natural sense to lead and his honest humility is what ties everything together and creates an aura of grace and welcome. In terms of his work and responsibilities as a Captain of the 10th he is nothing short of austere. Mitsue believes there’s no room to be lenient when it comes to ensuring the Gotei 13 is run smoothly, this doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy breaks or fun just that work needs a sense of self control.
Apart from showing that he’s quite the sincere friend and worker, there’s only so much Mitsue can do to keep his best face on. When he’s not in view of others he takes a more hands-off approach, meaning he can’t be assed to do anything. He’s strict with his work but it becomes quite the drag from the monotony and dullness of it all. Due to the circumstances of his death, Mitsue has developed quite the habit of keeping people he cares about at arm’s length even if people see him as a close friend or mentor. Once an open book he’s since then closed off his pages and information, adopting a shroud of mystery in its place. Egoism became the focal point of his life’s philosophy when he was locked up in his hut in Rukongai.
In battle Mitsue tends to keep himself levelheaded seeing as any emotional rise could lead to death. If one can be in control of their emotions and not give way to anger, then more focus can be placed on following the flow of battle. Mitsue always lives by the code of Hesitation is defeat, nothing he does in combat is without reason even if it backfires on him. Hesitation gives away to opportunity, an opportunity on his life he’s not willing to give so easily. Just as he respects everyone outside of battle, he does the same in it, judging a fighter before seeing their metal can also be the death of oneself. Mitsue does not like to toy with his enemy and will be brutal in combat not letting up once he starts, if left unchecked Mitsue can go off the rails and destroy his enemies past incapacitation.

「Capabilities」
「General Aptitude」
Fighting Style:
Mitsue takes a more cerebral approach to his fighting style rather than just relying on physical form and strength. He prefers not to showcase his abilities as to keep the enemy constantly guessing on what he can accomplish, a guessing game that he is in control of. Control is a large factor in his style, from start to end Mitsue likes to control the tempo and trajectory in which the fight is going to take even as far as accounting for alternate outcomes based on one decision. Once Mitsue has a good understanding of his opponent and the flow of battle he overwhelms his enemy, like a predator staling its prey, with his combination of Zanjutsu and Hoho. Both speed and swordplay allow him to set up the use of his Zanpakuto which is the core component of what makes his fighting style so adept and destructive. While his spiritual power is immense it is strictly capped within him only leaking out when he’s about to use an ability related to his zanpakuto. Just as he can read the fight, he also tends to read his opponent using that to his advantage. Words can be just as pointed as blades and create openings just the same, creating a rise out of the enemy or using their weaknesses against them is pivotal to the duality that is his fighting style.
Masteries and Proficiencies:
「KidoProficient」
Mitsue sees no use in Kido despite both its destructive output and helpful bindings. It just had no place in his skill set in a way it would help more than hinder. A small set of kido is more than sufficient for him to survive off of.
「HakudaProficient」
Mitsue sacrificed his proficiency in hand to hand to devote his time to mastering speed and sword arts. While he certainly isn't the smallest Shingami he most notably isn't the biggest and while his body is at it's peak his fighting style and zanpakuto are polar opposites to what hand to hand combat would bring.
「HohōMaster」
Hoho and his overall theme from his blade to his fighting prowess perfectly homogenize with his need for speed. While he necessarily doesn't need to rely on it he does find it perfect for his style.
「ZanjutsuMaster」
Zanjutsu is what Mitsue prides himself on, complete and utter control over everything that is connected to his blade. Mastery over his sword and the spirit that lies within it is paramount to him and the power it bestowed within it.
「Zanpakuto」
Zanpakuto Name - Theia (Titan Goddess of Sight and the shining ether of the bright, blue sky) Sealed State - Rainbow Serpent 虹の蛇
~"Light reveals all that cowers in the Dark."~
Additional Description: There’s not much more to know about Rainbow Serpent that can’t be acquired from just looking at it. The blade itself is a notable iridescent metal that is constantly changing its luminous color with each change in angle. The guard is square in shape with a serpent coiling around the entrance for the blade. Finally, dangling off the end of the hilt is a small chain with a glass prism attached in a three-dimensional shape that furthers the light given off by the Rainbow Serpent.
Inner World & Spirit:
Ōkagami (The Great Mirror (大鏡) The Great Mirror is perched atop a mountainous range that’s covered in a continuous flow of spewing clouds. The mountains themselves are quite hard to traverse, but also have small chambers and structures built on the more leveled surfaces. You can’t walk or travel to the Great Mirror for it is stationed between heaven and earth, frozen in place in the planets blue sky. Serving as a giant mirror one can also traverse through it as a portal in order to travel to whatever the mirror sees in the reflection of the persons eyes.
Titan Goddess Theia Theia was a Titan goddess, more commonly referred to as the goddess of shining elements. She was associated with shining metals, shining jewels or shining light. She was also known as the goddess of sight and the Greeks believed her eyes were beams of light, helping them see with their own mortal eyes. Theia is always pictured as a strikingly beautiful woman. She typically has long hair and flowing clothing that helps to show the light around her as mother of the Sun, Moon, and Dawn. The main symbol of Theia is her eyes. Because the Greek’s believed that her eyes emitted a beam that allowed them to see, her eyes were the most important to them. In her battle form her eyes are set ablaze with furious light that can pierce the souls of men. Her back sprouts four wings and she gains a kind of battle regalia that shows the infinite galaxy within. To finish it off she wields a golden lance with light focused in the tip of the blade.
Zanpakuto Personality: On all accounts Theia is that of a mother figure, in that she treats Mitsue more like a son than a companion. As a mother her first job is to ensure that her children are taken care of even if that means sacrificing her own needs first. Having known the scorn and tragedy Mitsue experienced in his own life regarding his own mother, Theia sees it only fit to try and fill the void left behind. She is both a watchful protector and guiding light in his world. While she is strong and compassionate, she is also the kind of mother to defend her cub when faced with violence or something that would threaten his life. Upon becoming the aggressor, Theia releases all that makes her a goddess and a titan. The mix of primal instinct and divine power makes her for quite the contender as she is not kind to any that oppose her will.
Ability: Mitsue’s Shikai and Bankai revolve around the ability to manipulate light, this is not to be confused with the ability to manipulate photons or move at the speed of light, but rather the manipulation of how light refracts and acts against reflective surfaces. In order to use his abilities, Mituse uses prisms as a catalyst for his light-based attacks to conduct. These prisms often vary in size and shape and can be summoned by him instantly and controlled via the reiatsu that's attached to them. The prisms themselves are strengthened and hardened by his immense reiatsu so they prove more difficult to break than normal glass. Mitsue has complete dominion over refractive light and color in order to overwhelm his opponent.
Techniques
カメレオン Kamereon (Chameleon): Using his prisms to bend light around him, Mitsue coats his body in his small prisms blending the light to match the coloration and form in the corresponding background camouflaging him from view. Mitsue can also bend the light around him to change his appearance as a sort of illusion, however sound touch and smell do not carry over just the image of the impersonated persona.
画像鏡 Gazōkagami (Mirror Image): Derived from the same principle as Chameleon, Mitsue places his prism in his desired location and projects his desired image through the prisms. This serves as a hologram of sorts and can create a convincing copy of whatever it’s replicating. As such they are based on sight only and have no effect to other senses or have physical presence.
鏡鏡 Kagami Kagami (Mirror Mirror): This technique actually has no real combat effectiveness. A supplementary technique used for communication Mitsue created. Mitsue creates a two-way mirror using his prisms in order to communicate with allies depending on if there is a reflective surface on the other side. Not only for communication, this technique also serves as reconnaissance since he can project one prism from a far-off distance and see through it from another prism. Essentially the same mechanics behind how a drone operates.
曲がりくねる Magarikuneru (ZigZag): ZigZag takes the ability to shoot linear light at a target and enhances it to a potent form. Mitsue will alter the path in which his prisms take in order to change the linear motion of his light beams. This means shooting his beam through one prism will then reflect it to the next closest prism, in essence this allows the attack to be carried across longer distances thus increasing the range and allows the beam to zig zag so it can follow its intended target. This also works with reflective surfaces that are not his prisms. Larger prisms are smaller in number but have a larger surface area whereas smaller prisms are higher in number and are more concentrated/lethal.
青か赤 Ao-Ka-Aka (Blue or Red): Derived from the way light moves on the spectrum based off frequencies, Mitsue coats his sword in tiny prisms. This ability takes two forms depending on which color he takes. If the prisms coat his blade in blue light, then his sword attacks appear to slow down since blue light travels slower than red. His blade is not actually moving slower instead it’s used as a deceptive ability that preys on the opponent’s perception of movement and depth. Someone who attempts to block the blade at the interpreted speed will be too late, leading to cuts being already inflicted. The opposite is true if Mitsue coats his blade in red light. The target will see the blade moving at inhuman speeds almost reaching the novelty that is the speed of light. However, Mitsue’s blade is not moving at that speed of light but rather just a hair faster than normal from his skill in zanjutsu and hoho.
失明光 Shitsumei Hikari (Blinding Light): Mitsue coats his blade in prisms once more, instead of choosing one color Mitsue decides to reflect them all at once creating a dazzling blade of white light. The glowing blade of light seems to be rather condensed which gives it higher cutting power, when in reality the prisms break and create a rotating wheel of reinforced teethed glass. When Mitsue no longer needs the higher cutting power or needs to create distance, he will channel all the white light into the shards and release them creating a blinding light that’s meant to blind anyone who looks directly at it in addition to having tiny shards fly at high speeds. The blindness is only temporary such that of a flashbang or solar flare.
反射 Hansha (Reflection): Reflection is a simple but effective counter measure ability that pairs well with the rest of Mitsue’s arsenal. Mitsue will take several prisms and began revolving them in a circular pattern until a mirror is form. Once the mirror is formed, depending on how many prisms are utilized the mirror can than reflect attacks back at the target. For instance, if a kido ability or a fire ball was shot at Mitsue the mirror would reflect the attack back onto the user. The bigger the attack the more prisms are needed and expenditure of reishi. Larger attacks will shatter the mirror and destroy it preventing reflection. Physical attacks and weapon based attacks can not be reflected and will cause the mirror to shatter.
Bankai
~"Kussetsu Ametsuchi, Megamin! (Refract through Heaven and Earth, Goddess!)"~ 屈折天地, 女神
Ability: Mitsue’s Bankai works a little different than his shikai, while it retains the same properties his shikai possess and the abilities that can be used during it, it adopts a new form and identity. Mitsue’s blade erupts into a bright flash of light that jets downward in an x direction. Upon activating his bankai both Mitsue and his target are encased in one large glass prism (think Suzumushi size) that is indestructible from the inside. Instead of a blade or prisms, Mitsue gains two Tessen (鉄扇 Japanese War Fans). These are folding fans that open fully to form a circular weapon that can be thrown and returned in the same function as a boomerang. What makes these fans special is instead of having metal plates the spokes are made from reinforced reflective blades making them lightweight but strong and designed to look like normal, harmless folding fans. His mastery over Zanjutsu also allowed him to master Tessenjutsu (鉄扇術, iron fan technique) a martial art of the Japanese war fan. Tessenjutsu focuses on cutting, parrying blows, and deflecting projectiles with said fans. Practitioners of Tessenjutsu could acquire a high level of skill which rewards itself with a synonymous level of sophistication.
Techniques
鏡の間 Kagami no Ma (Mirror Room): Within the walls of his giant prism, Mitsue can enter the reflective mirrors of the prism themselves. Once inside, Mitsue can accomplish three things. First, he can project his image across the reflective surfaces lining the inside and outside of the prism making it difficult to know which entry point he will jump out from until he does. Secondly, he can project the image of his target all along the surfaces along with himself to mimic that of the famous carnival attraction, this ability does require Mitsue to be outside of the prism in order to complete. Lastly, Mitsue can teleport through the prism via reflection to reflection, however he cannot create multiple images of himself nor can he attack via reflective teleportation. Instead he can only throw his projectile weapons otherwise he must teleport first and then come out to engage in combat.
万華鏡 Mangekyō (Kaleidescope): Instead of casting images of himself or his target, Mitsue can bleed into the reflective surfaces’ endless variety of patterns throughout the prism like a kaleidoscope. The constantly moving and changing pattern is used to create a feeling of vertigo in the target both from visuals and the feeling of the room moving when it is not. Mitsue cannot enter his prism while he is utilizing this ability and so is left on equal footing as his target, the kaleidoscope ability has no effect or impairment on Mitsue as he is immune. Any serious injury on Mitsue will shatter the illusion and return the prism to its translucent state.
刑務所の鏡 Keimusho no Kagami (Prison Mirror): The final ability in Mitsue’s wheel house and probably the deadliest. Prison Mirror’s one goal is to imprison the target within Mitsue’s mirror realm, in order to achieve this the target and Mitsue must first need to meet certain goals. Mitsue must first write the kanji in blood on his fans to activate the ability. Once activated his fans need to strike an opponent’s appendage to create a seal on whatever part it hits. The fan does no damage when leaving the mark and inflicts no pain. Once the seal is placed, Mitsue must strike the same seal with his fans more than four times in order to activate the seals potential as four in Japanese is Shi also meaning Death. If the requirements are met whichever appendage is struck will be transported inside of the mirror realm. Again, this creates no damage or blood, but instead will replace said limb with an iridescent bubble prosthetic. If Mitsue manages to hit the seal any number of times before four and mistakenly hits another limb the counter will break and start at zero on the new limb. If Mitsue is successful in sealing the entire person into the mirror world, they will be trapped within unless they can defeat Mitsue or exit alongside of him.
【Eye Color:】 Green 【Hair Color:】 White 【Height:】 1,79 m/5ft 10'' 【Weight:】 77kg/174lbs 【Style:】 Her overall style can be summed up under less feminine and more tomboyish handsome. Her hair reaches to the mid of her back, has sharp expression with a charming relaxed smile more often than not. Doesn't like to use makeup of any kind, nor accessories. 【Clothing:】 For clothing most of the time she wears a sleeveless variation of the Shihakushō that all shinigami wear. With the addition of the white haori on top of it. The haori is usually worn extremely loosely, barely hanging on the edges of her shoulders and she's got the habit of taking it off a lot... and sometimes even forgetting where she did so. Still it's alright, she can 'always' track it over the reiatsu mark she put onto it.
【Character Profile】
【Personality:】 Calm, collected and easy going, this would be the most apt words to describe Myako. She seemingly never gives in to negative emotions such as sadness, rage or anything else like that. Much more to her heart as joy and having fun, looking on the optimistic side of things. For the most of her life in soul society this was all people saw of her. However there was a side to her they weren't aware they were experiencing. She knew that only personal strength can grand her true freedom and respect, thus she bid her time back then, waiting for her power to grow, before she revealed her abilities fully. Only then did she go full to her calm, collected and easy going persona for real.
Additionally as much as she likes to spend time within the barracks or with the people in the Gotei 13, she much more prefers to hang about with the regular souls out within soul society, spending much of her time, hanging around them in disguise, seeing how they live, living as they do, telling stories to the children, helping them find ways to live easier lives. Granted this gets her into trouble, but as she likes to say – live is short. So she might as well enjoy it as much as she could, beside what would they do to her anyways? It's not like she's broken any real rules about this.
Still as anyone who seems overly calm and collected on the surface, there's a turbulent depth to her that shows up on the very rare occasions that she completely loses control of herself in some kind of hatred or anger. In those cases she will kill. Doesn't matter who it was, as long as they have pushed her to that extreme, there is no hesitation. As long as they are dead, she's willing to jump to hell and back if she has to. If they aren't in hell, well she's willing to drag them down to it along for the ride. As the old saying goes: the quietest people are the scariest when they snap.
【Biography:】 Myako's past prior to entering soul society is a little bit of a haze to her, but it's not without any memories. She was born to a family of a well off merchant. Long and rather boring story short, she was used for political usual marriage of political and economy gains and eventually got killed by the mistress of the man she was married to. Needless to say it wasn't as simple as that since the moment she was about to die, she also kinda pulled some impressive stunt and stabbed the woman that killed her with the very knife she pulled from her body before she finally fell over and died.
During the whole of her life, she had never stopped seeing unnatural sights across the town she lived in. Never did she believe that after death she'd become one of those very same unnautral phenomenons around. She was dead... but still around. She could see the world continue around her. The thing that changed was that the people around couldn't see her and she had a really weird dangling chain from her chest. For a little while she hanged about, causing small mischief to the household that was supposed to be hers. Eventually though a monster showed up, she had absolutely no desire to attempt to save anyone, but the thing seemed to be mostly after herself... turned out it was the woman she killed in return back then. Before the monster could have the chance to kill her... ehh sort of? And eat her? Sort of... a person in black showed up, slashed the beast in two with their sword and with nary an word of explanation stamped Myako's forehead with their sword's hilt. There were many curses spoken aloud at that person... both during the event and a later date eventually when they met again.
After she opened her eyes once again she was at an unfamiliar place yet somehow similar. It didn't take long for her to learn this place was called Rukongai and she was located within the west section. There wasn't much of getting to believe this was real, after all she spend quite a bit of time as a bound soul on Earth, so this place wasn't too crazy. What was a pain though was the fact that adapting to this new place was a whole different thing all together. For an afterlife of sort, this place sure wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. She lied sometimes, she stole other times, she cooperated with other souls so they could continue to exist to a degree, but it quickly came known that she was not quite as all the others. Despite being in Soul Society for a rather short period of time, her Spirit Power and Spirit Pressure were growing very rapidly and they seemed substantial to begin with.
Putting two and two together, she figured out the best course of action was to try and become a Shinigami. She went and registered for the exams. Gave it her best and passed with great marks. Maybe a little too great marks cause she was attracting attention, attention she wasn't keen on having right now. She was sure as hell this academy and the shinigamy society wasn't all sunshine like some of the people believed out in the streets. So following that she hid herself deeper in the classes. She still got good marks, but wasn't seemingly to excel in anything much. She put utmost attention to detail to pretend her skills were not developing at incredible speeds and that she was somewhat above average, but not by too much. Still despite the elaborate charade she was putting on, she did graduate from the academy and got herself a place in the 13th division. Where she met her old friend the bastard who just hurled her to this world without any explanation. Turned out he was a Lieutenant of the division. After cursing him to no end, she started to do her tasks, whatever they were, day after day, getting stronger while keeping her abilities as secret as possible, attempting to pass as an ordinary soul reaper.
Eventually somehow or another she even ended up as a Lieutenant instead, replacing the bastard. All the while her abilities progressed steadily and rapidly to a degree. She got her Shikai pretty fast and after a about 100 or so years started to learn her Bankain in secret. Took her decades to do so, but indeed she managed to do it without revealing it... probably. She was suspecting the captain might be suspicious of her, that she was doing something in secret, but she made sure to erase all tracks of her training. Always making sure to be well hidden. Eventually her Bankai was manifested properly and it's abilities properly understood and while there was even more of it's capabilities to master, storm was brewing on the horizon. One that she had spotted in her years of pretending. She was soon going to be put to the test and she was sure she'd give a lot of people a surprise.

【Skills and Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
【Fighting Style:】
Myako's Spiritual Presence is rather substantial. While not the greatest observed out there, she's still ranking up very high. Having realized that rather early, she spend countless hours into training to control it ever better and eventually gained a pretty good control over it. This substantial power, gives her a certain degree of resilience and the ability to pressure others should she chooses to. Again while not someone who focuses on crushing people with only her reiatsu, she's still able to exert a captain level pressure with no issues, though she's more keen on using it to defuse others' pressure instead.
Myako's fighting style is mainly focused around fighting with her zanpakuto, utilizing Zanjutsu and Hohō. She's a speedy fighter as demanded by the nature of her Shikai, but even when she's not using it, in the sealed form of her sword, she's still attacking with incredible speed and precision. That's not to say she doesn't have physical force to back up her attacks, she's just not focused solely on it. She rarely uses pure Hakuda, but does use Kido on many occasions as a support craft more often than not. She had long since learned to control her Spiritual Presence and control it rather well, able to bottom it up and make it appear as different whenever she's not wanting it to stand out, though even with her control she can hide it only so much. She's also rather observant in a fight, utilizing her surroundings to boost her already varied attacks.
Her fighting style shifts rather significantly when she releases her Shikai. When using her shikai, she lowers her use of Kido even more, mostly because her shikai has rather good range and casting kido takes time she doesn't want to waste, what little kido she uses, is usually of direct cast skipping chants. With her Shikai taking the form of extendable long chains with blades on the end, she's able to perform huge sweeping attacks, generating more power with the greater the swing is. Same with rapid near spear throw like attacks at straight line. The chains move almost like alive in her hands as she masterfully controls them to sweep, crush, wrap, cut, extend and retract. Fighting with those, she relies on the greater range to generate powerful swings and impacts as well as unexpected angles of attack. Often couples these attacks with wraps and throws, using the chains to literally toss her enemies about.
【Masteries and Proficiencies】
【KidoExpert】
In Myako's aresnal, Kido takes a third place after her weapon and Hohō. Still she's actually quite good at it. During the time at the academy and then after that when she was climbing her way up in the division, she often used Kido more than physical confrontations in an attempt to hide her powers. She's quite good at many different Kidos and is especially good at crafting different charms for protection and the like. Nowdays she doesn't use it as much since she uses her full range of abilities, but it's still there, waiting to turn the tide of battle on an unsuspecting enemy.
【HakudaExpert】
Hakuda is a thing she doesn't uses too much. She has learned it, gained some degree of skill over it, but doesn't use it as much. Her desire to learn it came from the fact that Hakuda was actually useful for mastering some aspects of her Shikai. That and some degree of master over the body is always a good thing to have as a back up. Nothing beats a surprise kick to an unsuspecting enemy. Doubly so if the kick is in a weak spot...
【Hohō Master】
Mobility is of utmost importance to her, because of that reasons she has spend a lot of effort over the years to master it as much as she could. She isn't the number one in it, but her mastery over this skill is extremely stable, lacking in flaws because of her diligence in practice. Using this extreme speed and mobility, allows her to utilize her chains to their utmost potential, attacking and dodging at the extreme speeds, while using the unpredictable nature of the weapon to deliver heavy blows or simply attempt to wrap and crush the opponent.
【ZanjutsuMaster】
Of all the skills that a shinigami can master, Zanjutsu is the one she had spend most time in. From learning to fight using the sealed state of her sword, to then utilizing the innate qualities of the weapon. Her Zanjutsu skills are extremely high, allowing her to actually fight at incredibly high levels even in the sealed state of her weapon. When in her shikai, her skills are even further improved since the weapon is in a form best suited to herself after all.

【Zanpakutō】
【General Information】
【Fukami-Rensa/Abyssal Chain】
~" You cannot escape from me."~
【Sealed State:】
【Additional Information:】
It's a rather simple and not too fancy looking wakazashi with very straight and narrow blade. It's a very light weapon, suitable for slashing and attacking at great speed.
【Inner World:】
【Description:】 The inner world takes the form of a boundless dark space. There's a single island floating to nowhere. There isn't any vegetation, it's just a barren landscape. There are huge open spaces and rock formations scattered across the island. At the center of it resides the only construction like object in the entire world, a crumbling tower where Fukami Rensa awaits. The most distinct feature is however the countless 'things' waiting out in the darkness of the island. This is the abyss and it hungers...
【Personality:】Fukami Rensa is a Zanpakutō that embodies the spirit of survival. Appearing like a woman, it uses long jagged like chains as weapons. Within the inner world it's a hunter that preys on all the 'things' lurking in the darkness. It's kill or be killed, survive or die. It doesn't like to forgive, doesn't like to be kind, it's a simple pragmatical calculated survival of the fittest mentality. However to it the stronger the foe, the greater the joy. It relishes in fighting strong opponents, hungering for the thrill that only facing the strong could give it. Enjoy every moment of survival because it might be your last.
【Shikai】
【~"Hunt, Fukami-Rensa!"~】
【Ability: The shikai is a set of bladed weapons attached with a chain that's capable of extending and retracting to will as the user controls their energy and exerts their will over the weapon. It can extend and retract at speeds comparable to her mastery of Hohō. Once pulled out, her Spirit Pressure increases, her body becomes able to move faster. As her reiatsu and presence increase, the energy starts to take form around her, turning into darkness that starts to envelop the chain and then her arms, the darkness seems etherial and yet also makes the chains look menacing and jagged.
【Techniques:】
【Technique Name:】 Hunter's Grasp
【What is it?: The chains fly in extreme speeds, as the two intertwine, before spreading suddenly at the target, instead forming a big sphere of chains around it then it the chains rapidly shrink and wrap around the enemy, the blades stabbing at them as the grasp tightens ever more until they either manage to break out somehow, or are crushed and maimed to death.
【Appearance:】
As explained above.
【Technique Name:】Wild Hunt
【What is it?: A technique that makes the two chains to fly around erratically, increasing their speed even more, attacking and swiping at odd angles without any control on her part. It's an attack that causes great amounts of damage, but has no aim at all. It's a pure collateral damage AOE that's perfect to fight enemies that try to sneak about up to you or are using stealth skills of different kinds.
【Appearance:】 As explained above.
【Technique Name:】 Shattering
【What is it?: An attack that's focused all around channeling an absurd amount of Reiatsu into the chain and the blades at it's end. Once the energy is channeled to the full, the chain starts glowing with black as the blade at the end starts to appear more like a glowing ball of blackness rather than a blade. As the Chain is swung at the moment of impact, all the energy is unleashed, creating a devastating energy impact that can black out the area from the released black reiatsu for a moment, leaving massive craters. She actually likes to use it in conjunction with the Hunter's Grasp, making the chains wrap around the enemy as the two blades charged with Shattering impact at the same time, while their bodies are still wrapped in the energy charged chains.
【Appearance:】 It's basically a huge bomb of black Reiatsu that's controlled with a black chain.
【Bankai】
【~"Ryōshi Fukami-rensa."~】
【Ability:
Myako's bankai is beast all on it's own. Once triggered, it starts to overtake the area around her, turning it into it's hunting ground. At first glance the Bankai doesn't change much about her, except the fact that her weapon vanishes completely. That however is a damn lie. Aside the usual strengthening abilities a bankai manifestation grants, the space around herself starts to materialize chains at her will. She can take control of them by hand to use sweeping attacks or actually use them as puncturing spear attacks by pinpoint targeting of their appearance. Can also be used in defensive manner to wrap herself in chains to protect against and enemy, or even simply use them to trip enemies who aren't paying attention. The possibilities are endless. She doesn't seem to have a set limit for manifestation of the number of chains and those chains can hang in mid air for a long time until dispelled or the bankai is canceled. The chains created from her bankai can use all moves from her shikai and some additional ones.
【Techniques:】
【Technique Name: Web Cascade
【What is it?:】 After a great number of chains are deployed at the battlefield, Myako can chose to use all of them to suddenly create a massive dense contracting web at the target in attempt to bind and crush them. The web contracts at extreme speeds and strength. If the target is wrapped properly, they will appear as a ball of moving chains that grows ever smaller as the chains are tightening around them.
【Appearance:】 As above.
【Technique Name:】Hunter's Mark
【What is it?:】Tag an enemy with a Reiatsu mark, allowing the user to accurately chase and target the enemy no matter what manner of hindrances are between the user and the enemy. She can set out her chains to seek out her Reiatsu Marks like homing spears, ensuring the enemy is always attacked no matter how much they attempt to hide or block line of sight.
【Appearance:】 A Black mark in the shape of a palm of concentrated Reiatsu.
【Technique Name: Metsubiru Naminde/Die with me
【What is it?:】If all else has failed and defeat seems inevitable, Myako possess this one last trump card. When all else has failed, when she's injured, when the opponent has already overpowered her, like the saying goes a tiger is most dangerous when it's injured. With nothing else to lose, this technique allows her to pull off one last attack to drag the enemy down with herself. Pushing the limits of her reiatsu, she materializes a number of chains that wrap the enemy to herself to prevent their escape from the attack. Once that's done 4 chains overloaded with her spirit energy collide where she and the enemy are, causing a massive explosion that can contain up to all of her spiritual energy, creating an utterly devastating explosion that basically nothing or no one can escape without being damaged.

【Character Profile】
【Personality:】Kagami is a kind hearted Shinigami who has been raised to be a proper hard-worker. He's obedient and reliable to the point that it's become a perk of his, however, he doesn't come off as strictly professional. He's friendly and lighthearted, although he can be shy and indecisive during social interactions, hiding quite a bit of his potential as a soldier and as a person. Having been excluded from the hardships a lot of people had to go through to get into the Seireitei, he views himself as inexperienced and afraid to do -or say-, something out of place. He treats other with respect and does his best to earn their recognition, even should the bond that ties them be one of mere work colleagues. This comes at the expense of sometimes being too naive and trusting, thus being deceived as a result.
His desire to be acknowledged serves as a method of self-gratification. He has no wishes of ever being the one who rules those below, nor does he want fame or riches. He actually doesn't like to be in the spotlight! Praise just seems to be what motivates him to move forward and feel content about the effort he invested in past actions. For the very same reason, he can get easily offended if his evaluation of his deeds does not match the way his peers see him, although it'd be rare for him to voice it. He's, after all, someone who dislikes conflict, be it at the battlefield or during a conversation.
But being honest, inexperienced and socially-awkward are not seen as negative traits by every single soul out there, those who decide to accompany Kagami in his struggle through life will find a loyal partner whose honesty and passionate devotion are qualities that are hard to find in this day and age.
【Biography:】Kagami Fuku was lucky enough to be born and raised under the wings of a lesser noble family, known for its riches. Having landed on the 'perfect comfort zone', he wouldn't have to worry about day-to-day survival like the residents of the Rukongai, nor would he ever find himself in the middle of a political conflict between houses. At the same time, however, his knowledge of such things became limited by the things he could and was allowed to read. He grew up as what Earthlings would call a normal kid surrounded by other kids who had been conditioned by the environment they were born in. As such, it was only natural that he'd have trouble fitting in. Most notably, while most other students at the Academy aspired to become Shinigami for specific reasons, be it a requisite to be accepted as an adult, a favor owed to someone else or simply the desire to protect Soul Society, Kagami joined the institution on a whim. Or initially, that's what he tried to do. While it was not necessary for him to undertake the usual entrance exam if he could afford a certain fee (and undertake an intensive training course), his pride urged him not to take the 'easy road home'. You see, while Kagami came from a family of aristocrats, both his mother and father were good people who passed their principles to him (In case you are wondering, a lucky lotto bill is what brought them their fortune). So he tried, and failed. He had no innate talent and his existence as a 'plus' had not been developed to the point required to be accepted. Other Nobles would at this point quit and instead choose to venture into the world of political warfare, where they could certainly do better than in any battlefield. However, Kagami somehow convinced himself of the idea that his peers would accept them if he managed to pass that test.
And so, his journey to became a Shinigami began. By the time he finally enrolled into the academy, Kagami was one of the youngest souls out there. This had nothing to do with talent or sheer luck, but rather the fact that most plusses didn't have the chance to nurture themselves and join as soon as he did. Those in the Rukongai saw this outcome as a pipe dream in their majority, and other nobles had to undergo previous training in other areas before even thinking of becoming a Shinigami. Both this alternatives usually breezed through the entrance test, yet Kagami failed it a whooping six times. In any case, the atmosphere in the academy was a rather hostile one, even between students. There was a clear distaste for those came from outside the walls of the Seireitei, and one was mostly forced to pick a side when an argument ensued. Being shy and submissive, Fuku ended up hanging out with those who came from the Rukongai. That's not to say that he was accepted into 'their ranks' just like that. Not everyone was a nice person, each side had plenty of scary people that weren't there to make friends. It was here that he realized that conflict was something that he didn't enjoy too much. Having second thoughts about becoming a full-fledged soul reaper, he found strength in how hard he had endured to get to that point and that it'd be wasted if he decided to quit right then and there.
Once he was allowed into the Gotei 13, he enlisted under the Fourth Division. His initial evaluation proved that he was not worthy of being a seated officer, but that was to be expected from the very start. That is not to say that his time as an unseated officer was not fruitful. No, in fact, it was during this time that grew the most. From the sidelines, he could study, learn and bring aid to those that needed it, without having to hurt anyone in the process. For a time, he was content with just that. But with each year that passed by, he became more aware with the storm brewing in his heart.
And then, it happened. Fire, blood and death all around him. And, from where he was standing, nothing could be done to bring forth a change in the right direction. Weak and powerless, the blade whispered to his ear, urging him to draw it out of its sheathe.

【Skills and Capabilities】
【General Aptitude】
【Fighting Style:】
Being young does not exactly mean Kagami is gifted in any way, in fact it would not be strange to think that a few third seats out there could give him a run for his money. More often than not, Fuku's opponent turns out to be stronger than him, forcing him to fight defensively until an opportunity to counter-attack arises. Hell, in times where overall power cannot be determined, Kagami just assumes his foe will have him cornered if he isn't careful. This leads to a style of fighting that's slow and cautious, without wasted movements but at the same time with a low offensive output. Rare are the cases where he overpowered his opponent right of the bat, perhaps unexistent. When fighting against clearly weaker opponents, such as unseated officers asking for a spar, Kagami will hold back considerably, give tips and go the extra mile for others to learn a thing or two. Though he'd be okay with losing on purpose if the trainee proved to do a superb job, his current position has an image to keep that doesn't allow him to do so. Hence, he sometimes feels guilty about 'one-shotting' people who were doing so well...
If something stands out is his sheer stamina and will-power. In a pure battle of attrition, Kagami is "sure to win", as his attacks and techniques are frugal and well-timed. He has shown multiple times that he can keep pushing his body after clear signs have been given that he had hit his limit. Top-notch physical fighters have taken note of this, and it's one of his outstanding traits in combat, if one can say he has any for his rank.
When it comes to Spiritual Presence, it's hard to say. He certainly has grown a lot this past century. He has an acceptable level of control over it, being able to proficiently adapt its potency and flow, but his shy and kind nature usually holds back his talent, showcasing it as poor and rather unfitting.
In combat, as long as it's not downright dirty, anything goes for Kagami. Kidou, Zanjutsu, Hakuda and Hoho, but also gadgets and the environment around him. Being on the losing side for years, he has learned that he needs everything in his repertoire if he wants to turn the table. Naturally, he favors Kidou and Zanjutsu over other methods of fighting as they provide the greatest number of utility in his arsenal, but isn't afraid to adapt to what the battle demands as it progresses. He's an average strategist who may over-think things sometimes, but does not throw his gut feeling aside, either.
【Masteries and Proficiencies】
【KidoMaster】
Kagami's forte is, hands down, Kidou. He's adept in the use of "Incantation abandonment", and knows how to properly employ "Double Destruction Chant" and "Spoken-After Incantation". Though he can be considered a Master, he has just begun exploring what this level of proficiency has to offer, having difficulty with higher level Kidou, to the point where he feels more comfortable fighting on par with someone with an "Expert" brand. Being pacifist in nature, he personally favors Bakudo over Hado, although it can be seen his true potential lies in Kaido, the healing Kido that the Fourth Division uses to treat the injuries of shinigami who have been hurt in battle. When it comes to seal and barriers, his talent is average and even Fuku admits he doesn't feel comfortable with their workings to develop his skills further.
【HakudaExpert】
To be honest, Kagami's aptitude with Hakuda comes mostly from a recurring string of spar losses that have both nurtured his spiritual force and granted him the experience to hold his own in combat when there is no sword at hand. Though, he's not unthinkable for him to use his free hand or feet to steal an advantage in combat, he'll rarely incorporate them into his attack pattern, instead using them to adjust his positioning or reach out to something that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Although it can be argued that Hoho comes hand in hand, Hakuda is by far the most instinctive and primal method of fighting Fuku knows, and his feats are mostly triggered by the desire of self-preservation and survival. If it came to technique and technique alone, shinigami with more in-depth training would always have the upper-hand.
【HohōProficient】
A lot of people like speed, and Kagami is no different. Unfortunately, it appears he is an inept when it comes to Flash Stepping. After decades of training, he has managed to achieve an acceptable level of Hoho, but abusing it is something reserved solely for do or die situations, as repetitive use of the technique cause him to become exhausted fast. Do not be fooled, however, as he is ultimately as fast as everyone else. His lack of finesse is what forces him to stop at ten when others can go as far as a hundred.
【ZanjutsuExpert】
A balance of power and discipline, Kagami is a not a pushover when it comes to sword-wielding. Granted, as a Lieutenant, he is often surrounded by monsters that make him look average in comparison, but those pitted against him would do well not to underestimate his skill. He does not own an original style, instead relying on those already developed by others. In a sense, this can make him predictable against an opponent with a broad knowledge, but can often surprise those who either work to master a single known style or break all boundaries to develop their own. Most notably, he has delved quite deep in the realm of zampakuto communication, and its rumored he's on the way of acquiring a young, fresh, final release.

【General Information】
【Hanshami】
~"Stay back. No one is allowed past this point."~
【Sealed State:】
【Inner World:】
【Description:】Stone steps that pierce through the forest and lead to a temple resting atop of the hill. The road forward is presented in a straightforward manner as it quickly becomes apparent that leaving the stairs to venture into the wild is an impossible feat, as an invisible force will keep anyone from doing so. Once one reaches the top of the stairs, they will find the gate of the temple being guarded by the Spirit of the Zampakuto. It's here where conversation and conflict occurs, and never has there been an opportunity where the wielder has been allowed to cross that final frontier. It is expected that the whole Spirit World, alongside its guardian, are a philosophical representation of the ordeals Kagami has faced, is facing and will face in the future.
【Personality:】Hanshami is a gatekeeper and he(?) takes his role very seriously. He is a mysterious individual that, in his base form, does not talk unless addressed, and acts in a hostile manner towards anyone who dares to make an attempt to cross the boundaries he is set to protect. Besides this, it is hard to pinpoint his real personality as he is an amalgam of memories that changes his appearance periodically to match people Kagami has met over the course of his life, impersonating them, or rather, the way his master perceives them, flawlessly. Although their relationship has progressed a considerable extent, to this day Kagami does not enjoy his trips to the spirit world, arguing that Hanshami beats too much around the bush with 'psychological torture' instead of simply telling a guy like him, who'd work smoothly with a mentor or a guide, what must be done from the get go.
【Shikai】
【~"Keep it from fading, Hanshami."~】
【Ability:】 Upon release, a trail of liquid akin to water will follow after every swing of the blade, emulating waves, foam included. This body of water will not be large enough to completely overwhelm another person, however it will be generated constantly so the user will never run out of it. For a few moments, the wielder can command the Zampakuto to manipulate this liquid, effectively turning into an extension of the weapon. In this way, it can be sent after foes as a projectile, strengthened to extend the blade's usual range or even be used as a makeshift shield. All of this initially leaves one to believe that Kagami's Zampakuto is an elemental-type, albeit not a really strong one. This change of state it's capable of is limited in its application and momentary at best -making good timing an absolute must-, and controlling the water present in the environment or in other techniques seem to be outside of its domain. The reason being, Hanshami's ability is not water manipulation, but the power to manifest a memory -a strong image within the user's mind- physically for a brief moment using water as a medium. When doing so, the water does not only acquire the desired shape but also the base trait of the pictured image. For instance, if the user draws a strong image of a hammer in their mind, the resulting figure will match the strength of the original. Needless to say, the accuracy of the replica depends heavily on the things the user has seen, recalls and is familiar with; and also the time and space the wielder is given to piece that image together.
【Kyōzō (鏡像 - Mirror Image)】The Zampakuto drastically increases water generation briefly and uses it to mold a copy of the user's own body that may last up to thirty seconds. This doppelganger can act independently, although it must remain relatively close to the user. It can perform any technique within the user's repertoire, but it does so at the cost of the wielder's spiritual energy reserves. This is often used for coordinated melee attacks, for Kidou Dual Casting or, occasionally, to fool opponents. If hit, the 'clone' is quickly reduced to a water puddle.
【Omoide Yokochō (思い出横丁 - Memory Lane)】Kagami's finishing combo move, a straightforward charge aimed at a single target. First, the user visualizes an 'imaginary path' that connects him to his opponent so that the distance that one needs to cover to reach the other is the least possible. Immediately, a 'water road' will materialize before the owner of the Zampakuto, ignoring all but the strongest seals, barriers and structures and allowing him to break through them even if it normally would be impossible. Finally, the user allows himself to be 'engulfed' by the waters Hanshami generates and, fueling them through strong memories, creates a 'jet burst' effect that propels the user forward with insane speed and force, drastically enhancing offensive potential. Kagami uses Memory Lane in conjunction with 'Echo', to increase his performance even further. A variation of this technique, 'Memory Lane: Over-heaven', also exists. It's premise is similar to the original, however, in Over-heaven, the target needs to be standing ove solid ground (or 'solid air') while the user is completely airborne in a position higher than theirs, effectively changing the way the final slashing move is executed.
【Hankyō (反響 - Echo)】A technique that doesn't leave any visual clues for the opponent, Echo is a tool Kagami can use to forcefully recall events of the past in an instant without losing his sense of time or becoming distracted and vulnerable. While any event is game, it's actually impossible to pick up details from a memory that went unnoticed beforehand if they took place at a time where the sword was not released, unless they happened mere moments ago. To keep it short and to the point, 'Echo' is used to quickly be able to adapt to the opponent's fighting style, being able to memorize attack patterns and muscle habits. As such, it becomes more powerful the longer the battle goes on, serving as a replacement for the rare ability of 'Eidetic Memory'. However, it must be noted that while it facilitates the analysis of a foe's capabilities, it won't immediately reveal everything there is to their technique, as recalling a single attack over and over is not guarantee that you'll figure out its secrets. Hilariously low Spiritual Energy cost, but it's not a passive. It has to be activated.
【Kaisō Dōtai (回想導体 - Recollection Conductor)】'Recollection Conductor' is the first Shikai technique that was not taught to Kagami by Hanshami. It was developed by the former to convince his Zampakuto that he has mastered the first release. Although it's neither extraordinary nor completely original -as it was inspired by someone else's technique-, it serves as his true signature spell and proof of his journey thus far. Through controlled breathing, Kagami can slow down the rate at which the trail of water left behind by each attack fades, enabling it to persist longer. By putting a little bit of focus, it becomes possible to leave a thin 'figment thread' that's nearly impossible to the naked eye (although Kagami can manipulate its color, if so desired) and cannot affect the world on its own. Then, when the timing arrives, Kagami can use Hashami's base ability to briefly solidify the threads, making them as tough as reinforced steel wire and as sharp as a blade. A technique that has the potential to both affect the pace of the fight as well as end it in a single instant, it's heavily dependent on its surprise factor and the level of recklessness the foe possesses. A variation of this technique, that may perhaps be even considered a follow-up, is called "Recollection Conductor: Karmic Crossroads". It requires an indoor battlefield, or at least one that's has enough obstacles, structures or support points, like a forest or a narrow alley. Taking advantage of the environment, Kagami can fix each end to a surface and eventually create a web of threads. Then, Kagami can cut down the 'Master Thread' (or let his opponent do it for him), to trigger a domino effect that will result in the threads converging at a single point, immediately capturing the enemy, if not outright finishing them off.

If someone were to look at Kaizo, not knowing anything about him, they'd likely assume he's angry, uncontrollable and likely a murderer. None of these would be wrong. Kaizo is by the very definition uncontrollable, Central 46 have had to meet with him many times over several incidents and if not for the Head Captain trying to keep Kaizo's neck from the chopping block, he'd surely have gone the way they want him to go. He may harbour a lot of bottled up anger but these days he does his best to keep it from exploding and causing more trouble than is needed, this is also why he's often sent out on a lot of missions to keep him out of the Seireitei as much as possible, simply because if he's causing some havoc out there and not in the Seireitei, Central 46 will be kept happier.
However...a lot of Kaizo's missions would be considered unorthodox. He ends up with the jobs no one wants to do or even should have to do but purely because of who he is, these missions don't phase him. The same cannot be said for the majority of his Squad, those that survive anyway. This also reveals his brutal nature in his expectations for his Division, Which are rarely met and result in members either dying, going missing or trying to transfer.

Kaizo looks like the kind of guy you may see locked deep away under the Seireitei, his hair is unkempt, his piercings make him look like a common thug, his almost constant angry expression warns you to keep your distance and his piercing red eyes will snatch the breath from your lungs. In short, he looks like an animal. If you were to take a look under the cloth you'd see a somewhat scarred body with a chiselled physique as it's canvas and every scar has a story as deep and brutal as the wound that once existed.
If you were to look at his general dress sense you'd spot him wearing his own twist on the 2nd Divisions Onmitsukido uniform. Wearing long black Jika-Tabi as his foot wear and Bands around the legs of his uniform to stop his uniform from creating too much sound or movement when in the midst of travel or combat, after all, silence was everything in the 2nd Division. Above this you'd see Kaizo wearing a black obi, a sleeveless shihakushō and a sleeveless Haori to top it off. His Zanpakuto finds itself firmly strapped to his lower back so it's out of the way and doesn't interfere with his combat at all. Despite his somewhat rough look, he keeps his uniform and himself pretty clean, which may come as a relief to most who cross his path in a professional sense.

Noro Kitagawa, 4th Division Captain
Noro would consider Kaizo a friend, Kaizo would consider Noro one of the few slightly tolerable people he's met. It's a surprise that Kaizo's even able to be in his presence for long considering who he is, but he can't deny the respect he has for him. Noro has taught Kaizo quite a lot and has helped him on numerous occasions, even sometimes doing things that could result in him being called into question and for that Kaizo can at least try to put up with him and humour him.
Arina Kawagana, 7th Division Lieutenant
Arina is an extremely rare case in terms of Kaizo's life. She's perhaps the only person he can tolerate and actually deal with normally, or whatever is normal for Kaizo. It's a strange friendship, but one he can't help but feel comfortable in and that's really something he's not had with anyone else. There aren't many people that wont judge him heavily on his appearance, let alone his seemingly monstrous acts and so finding some comfort in it all helps in someway

"Where's the Captain!?", "Why does he never do anything around here!?", "He's asleep...again", "This place is run so bad!". These might be some things you hear around the 4th Division that unfortunately falls under the command of it's tragic Captain, Noro Kitagawa. He's lazy, will do just about anything to get out of work and will always show up last minute to something important or just not show up at all. People often wonder..."How did he become a Captain!? Let alone the Captain of one of the most important Divisions!" And that's is an excellent thing to wonder! The answer is simple! Noro has the uncanny ability to fall upwards. Every step he's taken has been to avoid doing any real work and has sabotaged himself several times over the years and yet he still rises in ranks, this is due to him being an immensely talented prodigy, he learns almost instantly however he hates this talent, he only wants to live a normal life and the only reason he is a Shinigami is because it's tradition within his family.
Noro is the worst in so many area's but he will leave a patient dying on the table until the last second, unless it is the most urgent thing, he doesn't show any will to carry out and complete the task. Noro's attitude has frustrated EVERYONE in his life, that's his family, his teachers, his superiors, his patients, his subordinates and this likely is down to how lazy he is about everything but probably more "We know what you're capable of you lazy shit!". All in all however he is a good person, he's nice to people and his temper very rarely flares, he eventually helps everyone that does need real super serious help, he works hard when he MUST and he doesn't like fighting unless he entirely 100% has to and this is for two reasons, one of which can likely be guessed. In truth though he's a talented healer, talented fighter and is both the good and bad reason as to why the 4th Division holds itself together. Something about him is infectious to most and people tend to use him as a bit of a verbal punching bag which helps them vent their frustrations and all the while he doesn't mind. Everybody's job is stressful and he does add to that, but in turn he works as an outlet that they can vent at which works in some way.
Putting aside this part of Noro though, there is the immensely rare serious side, everyone has one. This shows at a grand old rate of about 0.05%. This put into words is simply "When hell freezes over" Which could be once every year, no one really goes there, or it could be once every thousand. Point is, it's a very rare occurrence and when it does occur...well then you have something to worry about. Noro when he's serious is something you do not want to see, it's like watching him take his own shackles off and watching him go from operating at 2% to 110%. Only one person alive has seen Noro at this point and even they wont mess with him in that state and they'd throw down with just about anyone. If this man stopped messing around and put his mind to it, he could probably conquer the damn universe...let's all be grateful he doesn't want to do that much work and is already pushing his limited limits by being a Captain.
☲ B I O G R A P H Y
Noro was born into a...family...totally a standard family! He was raised by a strict father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, uncle, auntie, older brother, younger sister, older cousins, younger cousins and so on. He has a fairly large family and has had certain...expectations put on him. Why him specifically? Because he's a once in a million years kind of prodigy and yet...he's unfortunately him. He's been this way from the first day and nothing and no one has cracked him into shape. His family tried everything they could but he just wouldn't crack no matter what, and I mean they tried just about everything! They even dropped him off in a hollow hot spot in hopes he'd have to fight his way out and fortunately enough for him, no hollows appeared...in fact the spot went dead cold after he was put there and no hollows actually returned ever again.
So once he was at the right age, his family ga-uh had to follow tradition and thus sent him to the Shino Academy hoping that he'd be whipped into shape there, they still sit there to this day hoping he's been sorted out and are simply assuming no news is good news. Noro did what he did with everything in his life, he fell upwards, this is to say that he is the luckiest fu****g s**t to ever exist. In the Shino Academy he applied NO effort, he spent as little time possible learning and practising as he could and yet passsed every trial and test with flying colours. He picked up Zanjutsu techniques by seeing them once and swinging his sword in a similar way, he learned Hakuda by getting hit by his instructor and returning the favour, he watched and listened to Kido spells being cast and memorised them and Hoho was stupid natural for him. All of this he had to be forced to do with severe threats from his Teachers but also the Head Captain, something that was very strange in itself.
Then there was learning to communicate with his Zanpakuto...effectively he ignored it so much that IT got sad about him ignoring it intentionally and it made all the contact with him, he just listened, emulated and went back to sleep. He mastered his Shikai more or less as soon as he got it and before he even hit tenth seat in the 4th Division he'd gained his Bankai and mastered that also. Then there is that. He was contacted by EVERY Division, they all wanted him and he had no idea why but he settled for the 4th Division as it seemed the easiest to do. You learned some healing Kido, healed someone and went back to sleep or something. There was no fighting involved AND YET! His Captain, Lieutenant, 3rd Seat, 4th Seat and on and on and on were on his case and kept trying to force him to do things, once again with severe threats. So he eventually rose through ranks against his own will and by the time he was at the tenth seat position he was effectively qualified to be a Captain off of his skill and strength alone, however the 4th Division didn't work like that thankfully which was good for him. There were at least 9 people ahead of him that could do their jobs excellently...HOWEVER! They then all died in an unfortunate internal war which left him as the only person qualified to take the position of Captain and thus he was forced into that position and somehow runs a successful Division despite being who he is.

Noro has long white hair, light pink/purple eyes, wears three pink feathers in his hair that sit just behind his ears, has a skin tight black vest (if you know the proper name tell me!) and wears his Haori strapped around his waste with it's insignia showing on the back. These are some basics, as for technical there isn't much...His Spiritual energy colour is Pink & Violet mixed, he has his Zanpakuto strapped to his left hip as is normal and that's pretty much about it. The rest of his uniform is pretty traditional to that of the Shinigami.

In Noro's eyes they're good chums but Kaizo may not see things the same way, Regardless Noro enjoys hanging around Kaizo and weirdly gets on with him or is at least very useful to Kaizo. Noro only got to know Kaizo so well due to Kaizo getting sent to the 4th Division many times and no one else wanting to deal with him and thus Noro was forced to and since then they sort of got on, although their first few encounters were a bit rocky which resulted in Kaizo pretty much dying and Noro realising one time that Kaizo could probably kick his ass. So in the end they both probably gained respect for one another and that's when they started to get along and get to know eachother outside of Noro healing Kaizo.

Seimei no gisei was once a very aggressive and demanding woman, however since having to deal with Noro she has actually changed quite a bit and is now much more calm and fights her desires for blood since she knows full well Noro simply doesn't listen to them. Instead she opts for the more polite approach and if that doesn't work she simply gives up and leaves him to it. She does however grow very excited when he gets serious as this means a lot of blood is going to spilled on almost every side and this is one of the things she lives for!
The inner world in which she resides is fairly basic. It is simply a vast lake of blood with blood red tree's surrounding it entirely and if one were to perhaps stare at the lake long enough they may see a body or two temporarily emerge before sinking back down to the depths. This lake is rather interesting however, as Noro spills more of his own blood, the lake will begin to drain and when it reaches the bottom...well that's a secret.

Seimei no gisei is a Blood/Poison type Zanpakuto and every ability revolves around blood in some way shape or form. Noro is capable of manipulating the Blood his Zanpakuto generates, Blood he/anyone/anything else spills. The more Blood on the battlefield, the stronger his abilities become. His Zanpakuto also draws in blood from a large area so that it pools around and beneath Noro and his opponent, this helps it's abilities perform to a stronger level. It's theorised that if Noro was sent to a battlefield, he could turn the tide of a war by himself due to how strong his Zanpakuto's abilities would become due to the bloodshed. His Shikai can become quite terrifying due to it's blood orientated abilities and with the ability to inflict his opponents with several poisons through blood. However his Zanpakuto also contains the ability to provide second to none healing! He could heal someone from near on the verge of death with his Zanpakuto's ability. It should be noted that the most valuable blood is Noro's own, as he spills his own his Zanpakuto abilities become drastically stronger due to his sacrifice.
Sticky Blood╫ The Blood Noro's Zanpakuto generates will become drastically thicker, When his opponent is hit by this Sticky blood it will stick to them and begin to slowly eat away at their flesh, if this blood were to be removed somehow then the wound it caused would remain constantly open and thus continue to to bleed and feed Noro's abilities. This blood can be flung around by waving his sword about or fired off towards the opponent in the form of an arc.
Puddle of blood╫ This ability is useless until a battle has gone on for some time. As Blood has spilled over the battlefield and pooled, Noro gains some tricky abilities. Noro can effectively travel from blood puddle to blood puddle, this also is true for his Zanpakuto which he could stab through a blood puddle under him or just in front of him and have his Zanpakuto emerge from another blood puddle in an attempt to stab/cut an opponent. This can also be combined with some of his solid series abilities. This ability will become immensely strong however if the entire field beneath their feet becomes blood.
Blood is in the air tonight╫ Noro will stab his Zanpakuto into the blood beneath his feet and cause it to scatter and spread into the air as a fine mist, this makes the area around him look simply like a red mist and thus makes him hard to see, if used when the battlefield is completely covered in blood then the entire battlefield will become covered in this red mist. From this mist however a few abilities can be spawned. Also due to the spiritual nature of this blood (From himself, his Zanpakuto and opponents) he becomes harder to sense on spiritual energy alone.
Blood rain╫ This ability requires Noro to make a sacrifice of his own blood. The blood he sacrifices to his Zanpakuto will begin to swirl around it, he will then point his Zanpakuto into the sky as a rather large amount of blood shoots into the sky and for a moment, turns the sky above them red. The for only a few moments blood will rain down on both him and his opponent but more specifically, this is to cover the battlefield so he can use his abilities wherever he please.
Bloody Buddy╫ Noro can create clones of himself by solidifying the blood around him, these clones can attack however but they're no good in physical combat and thus he often casts Kido from them, sacrificing themselves to fire said Kido. He does however use this ability defensively and can use his mastery of Hoho to create a clone of blood that will take the hit for him, this clone will explode throwing blood all over his opponent which can lead the way to deadly combinations with other abilities
Blood Shield╫ A simple ability that raises blood around Noro, encasing him and solidifying greatly in order to protect him from harm, this can also be used to fire spikes of solid blood from it that will attempt to push back an opponent and pierce them several times.
Hand of Blood╫ Blood will begin to rise around Noro and create two large arms of solid Blood, these arms can be used in a variety of ways such as casting Kido or aiding Noro in attacking his opponent, perhaps even grabbing them.
Blood Spikes╫ This ability works only if someone is close to Noro (early fight) or nearly anywhere as the fight goes on. Noro has the ability to cause spikes to emerge from the blood around him or an opponent and pierce them in several places, even holding them in place due to the multiple angles they would have been impaled from.
Blood Scythe╫ Can only be used when "Blood is in the air" is in effect or when Noro has taken an attack and his own blood has sprayed into the nearby area. The blood floating in the air will form to create a solid blood scythe that will attempt to impale it's opponent, in most cases it will form behind them and pierce them through the back and out of their chest and lift them into the air, or it will be used to execute someone.
Blood Monster╫ This ability is only possible when the battlefield is full of blood. A serpentine like creature will begin to from underneath the blood as if it was an ocean, breaching here and there for a moment as it moves around at an impressive speed. Noro can use this to simply distract his opponent or to physically attack them, however this can be done in multiple ways but it wall almost always try to consume and crush the opponent within it's jaws. This ability cannot last long though due to the amount of blood it will cost to hold it's form.
Black Blood╫ The Blood on Noro's Zanpakuto will turn black, if an opponent is hit with this blood via a cut or stab, the area will become infected and the cells around that area will begin to die, turning their skin grey and making the body part unusable.
Pink Blood╫ The Blood on Noro's Zanpakuto will turn Pink, this indicates that a different poison is in effect. He must like the other ability, cut or stab his opponent directly with this. This poison will seemingly have no real bad effects until one may try to use Kido or any ability that requires their own spiritual energy. They will find their spiritual energy difficult to control as it will become unstable and thus cause things like Kido's to become imbalanced and explode.
Violet Blood╫ Like every other poison the blood on his Zanpakuto will turn Violet. This poison blood must be administered the same way as with every other poison ability however it's effects will begin to mess with an opponents sight and even hearing, causing their vision to warp, twist and show everything in vibrant colours, their ability to hear will fluctuate from super sensitive causing one to wince in pain or super silent making them near on deaf.
Blood in need╫ This ability is a painful one but an effective one, by piercing the target through the chest, Noro can heal all their wounds with his Zanpakuto's blood, he cannot however heal broken bones.
Blood Coffin╫ Noro will encase an ally within a coffin of blood that will slowly heal them, this can also be used to transport someone from a battlefield to a safer place.
Blood Kido╫ This works like a passive ability. All of Noro's Kido will become blood red in colour, this is due to him infusing his own blood into the Kido mix, this in turn calls on the power of his Zanpakuto and thus makes his Kido a great deal stronger than it's original counterpart. The obvious cost of this however is that it uses his blood and the greater the kido, the greater the cost.
Let it flow╫ Another passive ability of Noro's Zanpakuto is that when he cuts an opponent with his Zanpakuto that wound will continue to bleed constantly and will not stop doing so, even healing the wound with Kido would only slow it slightly. The only way to stop this is to kill Noro, Die to him or be lucky enough that he seals his Zanpakuto thus stopping the ability.
In the beginning there were 50. In the end, there were 6, with only 4 surviving the final test. Those who survived were set up for pure and utter greatness. Those who had failed, had their carcasses grinded into fertilizer for special plants to grow.
Little did the four know was that from these plants, came something new with it. What was it one may wonder?...Life. From the plants came the 46 lives that were lost doing the experiment known as S-37. They had no recollection of their families, friends or even their deaths. In return for losing their memories, they possessed power that far exceeded their previous selves.
The 46 were molded by the test proctor's in order to become the ultimate killing machines. 8 of the 46 however were removed from the others because they were said to be extremely ill and keeping them in close proximity with the others could possibly contaminate them as well. After numerous surgeries and several treatment options, one by one, the 8 died.
Or so the proctor's had the 37 believe. In reality, the sick 8 were removed from the flock because they had potential for greater things. They were sedated and brought to a different facility where they could be trained even further than what anyone could have predicted. Unlike the 37, their skills wouldn't be honed for menial things such as killing, but to change the world.
The 8 were injected with dna strands from various captains, Shinigami and notable criminals alike. Their minds were destroyed, built from the ground up, just to be broken down again. God's maelstrom consumed their souls in eternal hell fire and just as their bodies were on the verge of deteriorating, the pressure let up before the cycle could continue once more. Despite all the torture, mental distress and life threatening training they were put through, the 8 endured...with a smile on their faces.
After years of training, the 8 were ready to take on the world. They were ready to take down the Soul Society. In order to achieve this objective, they would need to acquire the original 4...they would need to become the original 4.

【Eye Color:】 Blue 【Hair Color:】 Light Blue 【Height:】 5'3" 【Weight:】 127 【Style:】 Relaxed Traditional 【Clothing:】Shizue often wears her division 11 armband over a grey-blue kimono with a purple obi and hair ribbon that match her sword when going about normal missions and tasks. However, she wears a shortened and sleeveless Shihakushō underneath at all times as preparation for official events and missions that would benefit from a less colorful outfit.
【Personality:】 When first introducing herself, Shizu often comes off as a quite calm and relaxed person who doesn't mind making idle conversation over the little things. And when her daily naps come to light, some might be quick to to think her lazy or a slacker, as she often enjoys spending her time by chatting, eating sweets, or napping. But those that get to know or work with her soon realize that it's quite the opposite and that she's a hardworking, diligent shingami that takes an honorable pride in her skills. And this core attatude is shown in full force when she fights, unapologetically bringing her best regardless of rank and afilliation.
Never one to make assumptions about her opponent Shizu fights with a cautious and disorienting style, using her first dozen swings and clashes to "test the waters" and size up her opponent's current capabilities against her own, taking note of any blind spots or weaknesses she can use to her advantage. After she's finished, she'll choose to either end the fight quickly with her sword in its sealed state if possible, or she'll fight with her shikai and take her opponent seriously. But she has no problem supportively pointing out any strengths and weaknesses after it's over, regardless of who won. Though not quite that tactful when saying something she thinks you should hear, Shizu means well by her frank attatude since one can't grow without facing their faults.
This frankness also applies to herself however, and when combined with her diligence it often comes back to bite her, as she'll sometimes push herself to go without her daytime sleep in an effort to get more done. Unfortunately though, most don't realize that she is in fact metaturnal, meaning that she spends equal amounts of time being awake both by night and by day, making her naps an essential part of her sleeping schedule. Because of this, she can cause concern for those that care about her since she'll try to keep up appearances while doing so until she collapses or falls sick if left unchecked.

Shizu's fighting style revolves around a near constant use of Hohō and Zanjutsu to out maneuver and outwit her opponents, with Kido often used to support and enhance it further.
In battle, Shizu hates making assumptions and will instead use her first few strikes to try and size up her opponent without putting herself in an unfavorable position.
Striking from blind spots, setting traps, and getting her opponents to make misjudgments are tools she has no problem using, but rarely if ever will she fight dirty.
When up against someone, Shizu often tests the waters before gauging her opponent's level of skill so that she
Death by a thousand cuts.
Her fighting style focuses on: Shizu prefers to out maneuver and outlast her opponents when she battles, choosing an emphasis on whichever strategy will be effective. Should she choose to focus on out maneuvering her opponents, she'll aim to strike more often and use her skills to throw off her opponent's rhythm. If she chooses to focus on outlasting her opponents, she'll aim to make them waste energy and tire themselves out.

【Masteries and Proficiencies】
【KidoExpert】
Shizu was curious and excited about kido when she first started learning it, and her initial enthusiasm rewarded her as she quickly got a handle on it. However, her enthusiasm died down a bit when she relized how little practical use there was for it in direct combat. Though she's redirected most of her efforts elsewhere, she never stopped thinking of ways to use it in battle through distractions, traps, or defense.
【HakudaPractitioner】
To say that Shizu is a practitioner in Hakuda is to be a bit off base. She can hold a stance and throw a punch without problem, but she's just too stiff and awkward about it to find any use for it in battle. Maybe with time and experience she will improve.
【HohōMaster】
Though Shizu's skill in Hohō can't compare to that of a captain's, it's definitely is in a class of it's own among the lieutenants when it comes to stamina. Because unlike most when it comes to practicing Hohō, she does her best to incorporate it into her daily life, using any moment of movement as a chance to refine her techniques. It's from this diligent practice that she has gained a master's level of skill and stamina, allowing her to freely use it in battle like a natural change of pace. Though she may not count as the fastest, there are few who can outlast her.
【ZanjutsuExpert】
Shizu's Zanjutsu is nowadays starting to branch of in a bit of it's own direction through her efforts to mix it with her persistent use of Hohō, but tried and true she still practices her original training to keep her foundation strong and sharp since she relies on it in battle.

【Zanpakutō】
【General Information】
【Arashi no Shijima / The Silence of Storms】
~"Most disasters are silent before they strike."~
【Sealed State:】
【Additional Information:】A simple katana of normal length and size with a purple sheath and haze wrapped hilt standing out as its only notible outward features.
【Inner World:】
【Description:】 Shizu's inner world consists of a series of floating islands scattered about quiet and dark storm clouds, drifting peacefully. Sometimes the islands will drift through one of the clouds, bringing about fog and coating the plant life growing on them with dew. Within this land of floating earth and clouds is a small bundle of islands connected with rope bridges, and it's here where one can find Arashi's abode, a simple shrine like house built on the largest of the bunch. Oddly enough, one might notice that despite the heavy cloud coverage above and below that it's as bright as an overcast day, making it easy to see without the cloud fog. This paradoxically serene inner world will turn dangerous should Shizu's emotions be thrown into turmoil, with the sleeping clouds within awaking into a writhing tempest.
【Personality:】 Though as equally calm and collected as Shizu, Arashi's demeanor is much more formal and mature in comparison to her wielder's outwardly relaxed attitude, of which she sometimes chides Shizu on when in a bad mood.
【Shikai】
~"Sora o ōi, Arashi no Shijima / Cover the sky, The Silence of Storms."~
空を覆い、嵐の静寂
When calling upon her shikai, Shizu grabs her sword's sheath from her waist and horizontally sheathes the blade. Holding it by the hilt with one hand, she calls upon her Zanpakutō and its sheath dissappears under her free hand as it glides along its length to reveal a black ronin ninja sword that retains its purple haze wrapped hilt.
【Ability:】 When called upon, Arashi no Shijima's sheath dissappears and the sword becomes a short black ronin ninja sword that retains its purple haze wrapped hilt. At first glance it might just look like a simple melee-type shikai due to how little it changes with no obvious effect, but in reality it's a slow building elemental-type shikai that incorporates Shizu into its release.
When striking or when struck by something, both Arashi no Shijima and its sheath are capable of drawing a specific type of electric charge into themselves. For reference, the sword draws a negative charge and its sheath draws a positive charge. When this is done an opposing charge is left in whatever it struck or was struck by, though both can also passively draw a charge from whatever they're touching at a much slower rate. When enough of a charge is built up, it will have a pronounced magnetic field and Shizu will be able to discharge it from Arashi's blade or sheath in a variety of ways.
Unknown to most though, Shizu has put herself through difficult training to absorb the sheath into her own body and gain it's effects, which is why it disappears. Her reason for doing this is twofold. The first reason is so that the passive charge of her sheath stacks with that of her sword without making it useless in a fight. The second is due to the magnetic fields that are created from the charges. If she clashes with her opponent's sword, it gains a positive charge while her's gains a negative one. But with her body having a positive charge itself, this makes it harder for her opponent to hit her as time goes by.
【Sakasa Sora Denka (逆さ 空 電荷 - Reverse Sky Charge)】 For a few moments, Shizu is able to reverse the polarity of either her blade's charge or her own, if not both. The charge(s) will revert to normal if the she attempts to discharge it.
【Kaminari Sora Denka (雷 空 電荷 - Thunder Sky Charge)】 For a time, Shizu can amplify the magnetic effects of a stored charge by letting it loosely run along the surface of it's container. As a consequence though, the charge is slowly used up as it crackles and makes sound. This can be used both offensively and defensively.
【Sora Denka Kidō (空 電荷 鬼道 - Sky Charge Demon Way)】 Though it's not complete, Shizu is capable of imbuing her Kidō with either her sword's or her own charge. This gives the Kidō weak homing abilities alongside the potential to minorly shock its target. As an incomplete move however its downsides can be a potential detriment since the Kidō will have a higher chance of failing the stronger it is, and these chances also increase if she tries to empower the charge stored within it.
A discharge will deal damage and dissapate when it collides with anything, be it the intended target or not.
【Sora Hōden (空 放電 - Sky Discharge)】 When enough of a charge is built up, Shizu can fire it off as a discharge of pure electricity that will shock whatever it hits, which is often her opponent's blade due to it being attracted to an opposing charge. If the discharge has more energy then the opposing charge, it will also attempt to shock the nearest neutral charge that's touching the ground.
【Rei Sora Hōden (霊 空 放電 - Spirit Sky Discharge)】 Shizu can also fire of a discharge with some of her own Reiryoku, reducing its shock damage in return for more physical damage. It will attempt to go towards anything with an opposing charge, but due to not being made of pure electricity its ability to chase down an opposing charge is diminished and that makes it easier to avoid.
【Kaminari Sora Hōden (雷 空 放電 - Thunder Sky Discharge)】 Shizu can amplify the magnetic effects of a discharge. As a consequence though, the discharge will make more sound and its power will be diminished the longer it stays airborne.
【Yūrei Sora Hōden (幽霊 空 放電 - Ghost Sky Discharge)】 When swinging her sword or moving her body Shizu can leave a phantom discharge of electricity that quietly hangs in the air until someone or something runs into it. When that happens, it discharges as a burst of pure electricity that shocks the nearest object touching the ground. If triggered with something that's of the same charge polarity though, the resulting discharge will attempt to avoid it and will deal reduced damage as a result.
