Angel blinked. She frowned. She wiped away a tear. she doubted if he could do anything that would help. She didn't trust those words. Her eyes narrowed. She was silent for a time.
Angel ignored her smile. She sighed. She still didn't trust them. She felt like she was going to regret all this as they sat down there and such. She acted like she was not hungry. She kept looking away.
He looks up at Angel with hollow, lost eyes. "Why don't I know you?" He looks at the ring, studying it, hoping that he'll see something, anything, that will bring his past back to him.
Angel didn't order anything yet. She was quiet for a little bit longer. She continued to hide her face behind the menu. The blushed remained. Angel bit her lip. She was feeling embarrassed. She had chuckled when he reminded her of the night he 'proposed'. He had ordered the special of the house that night as well, at a different restaurant. When it turned out to be fried squid she could not help but laugh a little bit at the look on his face.
Angel tried to calm herself. But, that memory popped up. She muttered what sounded like 'acting silly over fried squid'. She tried to keep quiet though.
Angel took a deep breath. She slowly lowered the menu and looked at the waiter. She quickly ordered a shrimp salad. She blinked when she remembered it was the same dish she had ordered at that other restaurant in that memory.
