I was picturing, potentially, a high level enchanter that served the roll of providing significant buffs to guild parties before they left like last rites. Ergo, maybe the Guild Chaplain since I have some high holiness theme in mind.

Someone that can also be converted over to a Chapter rather easily too if that role needs filling.

If they do end up becoming a Chapter Keeper, I can't help but imagine their floor appearing like Irithyll from Dark Souls 3.

I mean, there's already a High Cleric, which essentially fulfills the same purpose as a Chaplain though...

@Guess Who

I was going to go with an interior landscape, cathedral cloister, but I like the magnitude of Irithyll now that I'm seeing a picture of it. Having massive amounts of devout fanatics fling themselves at defenders trying to prevent the intruders from reaching the Cathedral.

@Xaltwind

Enchanting is different in my mind to the High Cleric. With improvements to weapons, armor, as well as the buffs to the person. Cleric is healing. The religion theme is just personal taste.

Clerics in YGGDRASIL are more like the clerics of table-top D&D, meaning they're fighter/priests who can heal, have many varying buffs and cast offensive holy magic.

Cleric is a job class that hailed originally from YGGDRASIL. The religious role and principle of clerics seems to apparently differ among human nations in the New World.

Contents[show]
Background
Like Priests, Clerics worshiped a certain God and would used magic in their name. For instance, they recite verbal incantations when utilizing their magic spells. For that reason, they and the priests are usually the ones who calls upon god’s miracles through the use of divine magic.[1]

Clerics such as Roberdyck Goltron are also given a part-time job in places that require their healing magic.[2]

Yea and enchanting is enhancing weapons and armor to provide permanent stat increases, like from WoW. I want to cross over a bit and make a holy-centered character so the inclusion of buffs and the title of Chaplain is where I'm coming from. The character believing to enchant the weapon with a holiness and such.

*Shrug*

I mean, that would be a Production-Job, like a Smith or Alchemist then. You could just make a Cleric or Priest, who also has levels in Enchanter or some such. Again though, I personally feel like the differene between an enchanter Chaplain and the High Cleric's duties would overlap... But, that's not my call to make, so if that's what you want, go wild bruh.

Look, I read everyone's profiles and tried my best to find some niche that sounded fun for me.

Character Focus: By YGGDRASIL standard, Cleric is a faith-based class. Clerics are look upon as a magic caster of the Divine type. While they are well verse in melee combat, Clerics can also cast various magics such as healing, summoning and attack spells. In particular, they are capable of curing diseases or neutralizing poisons.
Inkarnate

Only one character mentioned buffs in their profile and Ink's High Cleric did not.

That said, I haven't done anything other than picture shop so I'll think about this some more, I guess.

@Pirouette Honestly, I think it's a good idea. I know Gromgard would be appreciative for the extra protection on his goblins.

Oh no it's alright. I was a little surprised, I guess.

This does help me rethink a bit though. Maybe I go full production-class. A smith and an enchanter that still has a fanatical sense about their work.

Hey Piro! Glad to see you. From what I can tell about the game in Overlord is that production classes like Runesmith, Blacksmith, and Alchemist fit that dynamic. Depending on your level of character you could have these in spades alongside a combat class of your choice very easily.

I'll be getting my post up tomorrow (Tuesday), after turning in my portfolio final.

I know that @Enkryption has his post ready to drop before I post mine for chronological reasons, but @Archangel89 if you want to make a post before I do, let me know. I know you said work has been busy, so I won't begrudge you if you can't make one this week.

Time to make some medieval peasants respect WAMEN.

Also let me know if anyone has problems with the content provided. I struggled a bit in trying to think of things for Mamoru, Gromgard, and Light to do in particular, so let me know if anybody needs anything additional to do.

Dat sniper so rude, she need a spankin'. Rodias shouldn't coddle her. >:(

As for Gromgard, arrogant for sure. He basically was saying that his (comparably) low-level goblins could do a better job at scouting and gathering information than one of the actual other Chapter Keepers.

Then again, all of ya'll be rude and arrogant. Well, apart from Mamoru and Katri, and maybe Aera. :P

Now to go and write a post with a lot of internal thoughts and opinions on the actions and words of the rest of you, and then cozying up to Ashara's new girlfriend travelling-companion~ :3
