If you are receiving this letter, then congratulations! You are among one-hundred of thousands who returning to Meadows University, located in the beautiful Meadow View, Vermont. You have been accepted into this prestigious ivy league school for one of three reasons.

The first reason might be due to the fact you are a legacy, the child of someone -- granted, one who had honors -- but one of our esteemed alumni. We accept ten legacies per year and if you are one of them, then consider that a high honor. The legacies are held to higher standards of following the rigid rules our university has for every student and faculty member.

The second reason is that, despite some questionable marks and activities you might have engaged in high school, you come from wealth and lots of it -- enough for us to overlook your less-than exemplary academic performances. Meadow University benefits from consistent donations and if you fall under this category of students, then your family has donated well.

And now, the third reason you might be receiving this letter: you are the perfect academic student. The sort of person this school needs. Do not be mistaken: you are not less than anyone else. You have worked hard and put in all of the hours made available to you. Your marks in your studies, time put for extracurricular, and voluntary work has finally paid off. Hello and welcome to the College roleplay, Meadow University that is set in Meadow View, Vermont. The university the majority of the roleplay will take place at an Ivy League school, which should tell you a lot about what sort of college it is. That being said, it is known for being a bit of a party school (even if the administration tries their best to silences those rumors). This roleplay will center around a medium to large group of third-years who are one of three types of students: legacies, those who are children of alumni, trustfunds, those who are children of Meadow’s donors, and scholarship students, those who earned their spot at MU through hard work and perseverance.

The roleplay will start at the start of the second semester of the first year, so this will give players/writers some time to entertain possible relations. Alternatively, they could also be attending late. Your choice.

There will be a maximum of ten students per category (ten legacies, ten trustfunds, and ten scholarships).

Meadow View is often regarded as a college town that caters itself specifically to the attention an Ivy League university brings. From the outside, it may appear to be small, especially when compared to other ivy league towns, but it is quite deceiving in that way. Being in Vermont, it is afforded the aesthetic of beautiful trees spread throughout its landscape, a few parks, a thriving marketplace and nightlife crowd. Additionally, there are various places of interest that students go when they have the time such as family homes and/or cabins in the mountains that surround Meadow View.

Meadow View houses several neighborhoods all ranging from middle class and upper middle class, a few schools for the locals, but for the most part, it does lend itself to the students so that they have a quiet and peaceful environment for their studies. That and the university is so large, there’s hardly a reason to be in actual town ...unless they have to.

Being the cornerstone of Meadow View, the university that receives its namesake from the town is a beautiful campus surrounded by trees native to the green mountain state. It is a campus with a few buildings almost two hundred years old, which was around the time it was established. There have been expansions made over the years, of course, but of the buildings, the oldest that remain kept up to this day are the Administration Buildings and the Baptist Church. That and the marble fountain dead center of the campus, which has been known to be a regular relaxing spot for the students and faculty alike.

Since the beginning, as frequent presenting oneself in a respectable fashion has become tradition, so has the presence of sororities and fraternities. Of course, they’ve evolved with the times. They’ve gone from traditional groups of males and females living in peace to being an excuse for the young adults to let loose either before a major exam period or just to have a party for the sake of a party.

There are many places of interest around the campus from the dormitories, the library, respective fields dedicated to sports, a full gym, the Baptist Church for those with religious needs. For shopping needs, however, all one needs to do is go to Meadow View’s marketplace.

Meadow University’s staff is comprised of over fifty professors and personnel that cover the vast amount of subjects and topics that the classes make up. They all range from former students to professors who have been employed at MU for over three decades. Tradition is somewhat of a consistent presence at Meadow University. Despite what their ages or genders might be, they all answer to one woman: Emelia Beaumont. She rules the school with an iron fist and might appear nice, but her rule is authoritative and she is probably the worst enemy for young college student who likes to party.

• We are a character-driven roleplay, so expect for there to be a heavy emphasis on communication between your fellow players. This also means interactions with your characters in the IC. That will be just as important.
• At the least, writing expectations for this roleplay will be casual, so we expect at least two paragraphs per character.
• We will only allow three characters per player but you are in no way required to have all three from the get-go. We encourage that you only take on as many as you can handle.
• Though gender ratios won’t be our top priority, we do ask that if you see too many of one gender, consider making a character of the opposite gender so that the ratio isn’t too out of whack.
• Consider making characters with flaws and complexities to them. Nobody wants to have a bunch of Christian Greys and Bella Swans running around.
• Machine-gun posting is fine if nobody else is posting, but if there are others wanting to post, please wait until two other writers (or two character posts) have been made before making another one.
• Collabs, while handy and encouraged, are not required. Use them as needed.
• Please communicate! if you need time off, tell the GMs! If you don't know what to do, talk to your fellow players! Communication is 9/10ths of the law of being a roleplayer.
• As proof that you’ve read the rules, put what your favorite rom-com movie is in your character sheet(s), or any RomCom you’ve seen.
• And of course! Please -- oh please! -- have fun in the roleplay. There's no point in joining if you're not doing it for fun!

Inquisitive, curious, and investigative are all three words that describe what Camilla is all about. Are they all synonyms? Yes, but Camilla really is that curious about the world around her. She also owns a certain naivete to her that is primarily attributed to her unfamiliarity with the intricacies of American culture. Her love for learning new things shines on a very frequent basis. As a result of that, she’s also very flexible and able to take in whatever she is given, but that doesn’t mean she’ll just straight up absorb it like a sponge. If something doesn’t seem right or sound right, she isn’t afraid to question and challenge it.

This lends itself to Camilla’s rather fiery nature in debate. Camilla never backs down whenever she is fighting for something she believes in, such as immigrant rights. However, she is loyal to those who reciprocate that loyalty to her. If you got her back, she’ll have yours no matter what.

Upbringing Synopsis

Camilla and her younger sister, Carmen were born to Jose and Luisa Hernandez in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. At the young age of three, her parents had decided to make the trek and emigrate to the United States of America in order to escape the harsh conditions that her family faced in Mexico. Unfortunately, they could not afford to be placed on the mile-long waiting list that was the legal way, and hearing horror stories about how long it took to even be considered for a visa in the United States was something the Hernandez clan could not take, especially with their situation becoming more and more dire with every waking second that they stayed in Villahermosa.

They made the decision to make their trip to the border, in hopes of getting into the country in other ways. Uprooting themselves, they trekked the 1500+ mile trip all the way to the American Border. It was not an easy journey, to say the least. Along the way, they faced horrid conditions and faced a lot of adversity, including but not limited to: the authorities, the weather, and the death of people who simply couldn't make the dangerous trip. Luckily, the Hernandez family had managed to make the trip and survive, and eventually they laid down roots in El Paso, Texas after making contact with relatives that just so happened to be there.

Camilla spent the first years of her schooling career struggling massively, since there was such a huge language barrier for her to overcome. It was hard for her to comprehend and have a grip on the English language at first. But with perseverance and hard work, she managed to be designated fluent in the English language by the time she had finished the fifth grade. From then on, things weren't as hard for her on that aspect, but there was still a lot that she had to deal with on other aspects. Despite the fact that she was around a lot of people that were in the same boat as her as illegal immigrants, she still faced discrimination and adversity that frustrated her. An instance of such is the fact that she was not able to get an actual job.

Despite all that was stacking against her, she managed to make it through high school and not only graduate with a degree, but graduate as a valedictorian and maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout all four years. It was an accomplishment like that that landed her a full ride scholarship to Meadow University, where she currently studies law.

After the incident during his youth, he realized that he didn't have much of a personality. As such he defaults to a cheery and smiley disposition, one that helps him get along with others. He gets on along with a majority of the cliques as he's pleasant, calm and funny. Due to his past, he's slow to judge and quick to emphatize; it's easy to talk to and confide in him. Some could say this was a mask... and he wouldn't disagree with them. Though some embers of his old 'personality' shine through his passive-aggression and sarcasm.

Underneath he's deathly afraid of others finding out about his past, opting to change topics when it comes up or give vague answers. If they push on he gets irritable and eventually storms off. Similarly he's a ball of anxiety, uncertain about his future and is worried about how others view him. It's difficult to get him to lower his walls, but if you do you're bound to have an eternally loyal and clingy friend.

Upbringing Synopsis

Connor grew up with little to no expectations from his parents. What little time and affection his parents gave were all heaved upon his brother. Though he initially tried his best (whether it be scholastic achievements or ability as a successor) to win their affection, he was always second best. His brother, Gerard, simply put, was a genius amongst geniuses. He thrived with no effort, achieving top-grades within the country and was easily able to pick up the skills needed to succeed their parents. Connor was never given the time of day. Soon, his efforts moved from scholastic achievement to acting out. His parents' rebuke and scold were pretty much the only time they ever paid attention to him.

He hung around bad crowds, who let him do so because of his money. That and he was an easy scapegoat as his parents were frequent donors to his high-school, making it difficult to expel him. Throughout his highschool years, he has gotten into trouble for a myriad of things- cutting class, bullying, cheating, fights, smoking, sex, you name it. At the height of his rebellion his parents threatened to disown and cut him off. Relaying this to the group he ran with caused them to laugh in his face, ending with him being pushed off a flight of stairs and landing shoulder-first onto a rusty piece of rebar. Wanting no part in injuring someone from an influential family the group dispersed. Had it not been for a kind passer-by who took him into his home, he might not have made it. He begged the stranger not to take him into the ER and after enough badgering, agreed to. Luckily the stranger was a retired nurse and stitched his arm up, though Connor suffered through it with no painkillers.

The stranger was kind enough to not pry about his situation. After seeing that he was alright after a few hours, patted on his back with a smile and send him off. For this Connor was eternally grateful, to this day he still sends him presents and cheques in his mail. It was after this event that he had a revelation- his constant need for attention was the root cause of this, so he would try his best to grow past it and just... worry about himself. He decided he would change everything about himself. He dyed his normally black hair blonde, wore glasses and even changed up his fashion style. This change was during the tail-end of his highschool years. He was unrecognizable, he was acing his classes and was even 'sociable'. He tried his best to apologize but many flat out ignored him and a majority despised him even more, not that he could blame them.

His parents eased off after his 'transformation', even recommending a top university for his major- Meadow University. Though they were still untrusting of his recent changed opted him into the backdoor method of entrance, as a trust fund student. Despite being annoyed, he understood their decision. He would continue his rough journey of self-betterment during his university years.

Although Blake has the qualities of a morally good friend, he keeps his circle small and prefers to be left alone. He has a strong passion for his interests and enjoys the solitude of them. While he appreciates criticism with his art forms, he would rather be independent in his learning and enjoys being alone. Upbringing Synopsis

Blake is someone who struggles between passions, but more in a way that overwhelms him and keeps him preoccupied. He grew up close to his father with high admiration and idolization. His father was many things: a successful businessman, a lover of old music, a musician, a father of five children, and a man of strict, traditional rules. What laid beside the warmth of encouragement and humor were his high expectations of each of his children, especially Blake. It was easy for Blake to pick up the interests, but it was a constant battle to try and win the honor and appreciation of his father. This left him with his isolated nature and his self-disciplined manner; what was the point of having a talent and not honing it?

Granted, this made Blake’s high school years easy for him. While most social settings of high schools would pick on the musically inclined, Blake was lucky enough to win over his popularity with his talents. With his cello in hand and a love for culinary arts, he was an unusual hotshot of his high school. Blake delved in sports, but never enough to reach any considerable titles. What love he had for sports was not enough to outweigh his passion for the arts. Collectively, it seemed like there wasn't anything that Blake was particularly bad at, but in his eyes, he was never skilled enough at any one thing. To have multiple skills but nothing that's impressive stand-alone was not enough for him. He narrowed down his desires and focused on what he loved the most. To be artistic comes with an easy way to woo a crowd, but it also comes with it's haunting doubts: a take-away from what it's like to be creative.

Blake went through girlfriends in high school fast, never giving them enough attention to have a substantial relationship lasting longer than a couple months. To be consumed by his interests and his constant struggle to impress his father, he didn't have the capacity to devote time into a significant other. While he was raised to be respectful, he could never find it in him to divide his attention enough to pursue any act of love. This was fine for him, as he knew his talents would shape his future, a much more important concept.

Once he was old enough, he started working at a fine-dining restaurant as a chef. Blake often played for them on his days off and worked to enhance their menu until he won awards for the dishes he created. He began to blame his Italian blood for his obsession with cooking and classical music. As college approached, Blake was faced again with his struggle between passions, becoming lost on what career path would be best.

For an artistic person with incredible passion, dreaming big was as easy as counting to ten. But such dreams were built upon the adoration of a strict father, leaving them susceptible to becoming crushed. And like glass was it shattered, each piece resembling every doubt and worry he previously had. Many people talk about what it’s like to hold onto a dream, but nobody ever mentions the emptiness that follows the crash. For Blake, he remained hollow, following the footsteps that were always suggested of him. To get into an Ivy League college was nothing, and the tuition was like pocket change for his family, so he now enters with a different future in mind. One that he doesn’t necessarily call his own, but one where he can finally live with a proud father and family. Who knows, accounting could be fun.

Growing up in Palm Beach surrounded by a million cousins it was hard for MacKenna to stand out. So she decided she wouldn’t even try instead she focused on being the best at whatever she set her mind to. That way she learned how to do a ‘Backside Flip’ while skateboarding before her childhood friends much to the latter’s chagrin. But growing up around so many different personalities also meant she had to learn how to stand up for herself and others. The others quickly learned that Mac was not one to be messed with and if they did they would be met with a razor-sharp comment or even a slap to the face. With being that intense the young girl found it hard to make new friends outside of her cousins and family friends. When she made the move to Vermont together with her best friend and cousin Lottie she decided to soften a little and let more people into her circle of friends.

Upbringing Synopsis

It was a windy and cold February night when a 17-year-old Jiaying gave birth to a healthy little girl in a small village near Shenzhen, China. It was with tears in her eyes that the young girl handed over her little baby girl to the woman that had come from the adoption agency. The last thing little Jiaying said as the woman walked away was “Just make sure she gets a nice life!”.

And that’s what Archer and Kavan swore they would do when they read the profile of the little girl they would soon call their own. The trip to China was probably the longest in the young men’s lives. But it was all worth it when that little baby with the chubby cheeks laid her small eyes on the pair. They both fell in love instantly.

Growing up in a neighborhood with predominantly white people. MacKenna has always known she was different, hell, most of her family was blonde and blue-eyed. Add to that having two gay dads and middle school was pretty hard for little Mac. There were many times where the little girl came home teary-eyed from being teased at school. Her fathers always told her to be proud of who she was and where she comes from and then she had her godmother who taught her to take no one’s bullshit and always stand up for what she believed was right.

MacKenna really grew into her own when she reached high school. She took all of the learnings and applied them to her day to day life. It worked, and instead of sticking out like a sore thumb she was seen as someone that was different and interesting. Though it did help that her cousin and best friend Lottie was gorgeous and popular which skyrocketed her status quite a bit.

Though she loved her life in Palm Beach and her family Mac always knew she wanted to try a life away from the safety of her home and fathers. Her mind was set on Meadow University from an early age. It really was her dream school and that the school has one of the best linguistics programs in the country just sealed it for MacKenna. Her Junior and Senior years where spent mostly in the library with her head in a book. But her sacrifice of her social life payed of and she graduated from King's Academy top of her class and valedictorian which earned her an academic scholarship to MU.

Alaric is a very creative person, he can always find new and interesting ways to annoy or piss people off, which is honestly one of his favorite things to do. Alaric comes from a very old family, The Blackwoods have a large wide of influence and because they have one of the largest medical facilities within Vermont the name is well known. He was the middle-born of triplets. From a young age he was expected to be great and perfect at anything that was thrown at him, however early on it was seen that he had a hard time dealing with being told what to do. His father was not okay with this, he wanted their image and family name to show within his children and forced Alaric to take long and intensive lessons regarding the "big world" they lived in as he put it. Because Alaric didn't like the lessons and he was simply a child he would often goof off and try to leave the teacher, his father got word every time and each time he would get punished. At first they were quite harsh: Sit in the corner of a room for an entire day without food, write out a single sentence of a paper for hours, things like that.

When his youngest brother Alexander was born Alaric straightened out a bit, he wanted to be a good example for his baby brother. For a bit Alaric actually listened to his parents and did what he was told, sitting quietly and paying attention during his lessons and just being all around obedient. As the years passed though and as Alaric became more aware of things he began to see just how corrupt his family really was. The way their mother was always obsessed about them being perfect, especially within the public eye was almost insane.

When Alaric was older poor Alexander got sick, for the longest time Alaric never knew why but the younger boys health quickly deteriorated and within a few months he passed away. This had a large effect on Alaric and his obedient nature vanished, he became more rebellious and unruly than before. He hated how his family always had to be perfect, how they put so much worth into a persons talent instead of just accepting them for who they were. Alaric only listens to his brother and sister, they are the only one's who actually knows what he wants and they are really the only two people he actually trusts within his family. But because they aren't with him at the University he just does what he wants: Drinking, drugs and whatever else may cross his path. The only reason Alaric got accepted into Meadow University was because his father wouldn't stop bothering him about it and threatened to throw his favorite guitar in the trash.

Lola Francesca Russo is the only child of controversial couple Jace and Ariana Russo. Upbringing Synopsis

Devin was born blind to a well off family that decided to get out of banking and focus on raising their disabled child. A few years of different specialty schools allowed Devin to start deciding for himself where he wanted to continue his education. Pursuing both a literature and a musical track he fell in love with both the written word and music at a younger age than most. Learning to read took time due to his family not being able to help as much with Braille. Still with extensive tutoring and even a few years of gifted learning Devin came out of high school with advanced tracks in most fields.

During the summer Devin had not been able to decide on where he wanted to go with many of his applications being delayed due to several scholarships. Instead his parents decided to use some connections and a check to get him into Meadow University. Though Devin could have likely earned his place through a standard application his parents felt it best for him to assist and therefor allowed them access to the school in case they needed something for their son to better succeed.

During his first year at Meadow University Devin fell in line with an extra curricular program that partnered students with a local high school to help as after school tutors and classroom assistants. This has made Devin begin to consider going to school to become a teacher which he has quickly learned is something he loves and has a knack for. It also helps that as mean as high school kids are they don't pick on the blind teacher.

If you were to describe Elliot in one word it'd have to be Sincere. He is a very honest person, sometimes a little too honest. Growing up with two older sisters made him a bit sassy, if he has an opinion about something, negative or positive, he might not always hold back. He has a great sense of humor, Elliot loves to laugh and will often tell the stupidest and corny jokes. He hates people are upset or down and will try his best to cheer them up. He is easily excited by the smallest of things.

Elliot has a bad habit of being insecure, it could be about his writing or himself but either way has just constantly second-guesses himself. Elliot had a pretty normal childhood. As the youngest and only boy of the family he was pretty spoiled but that didn't mean he was sheltered either. His father was a journalist and often travelled to other countries in order to pursue the best stories. He would bring back the most fascinating artifacts and tell Elliot the craziest of stories. Instead of being told about Santa claus or the Easter bunny he was told about the world. How you can't buy Coca-cola in Cuba or North Korea, how the world's population could fit with Los Angeles or how South Sudan is the youngest country in the world.

The death of his father hit Elliot pretty hard, he was killed when the caravan he was with was hit by a bomb. His poor mother was the one who had to identify the body, she was barely home as it was due to being in the military and after that even less. His sister's did the best they could but his fathers death was a shadow that would never disappear. Elliot was pretty quiet during high school but once senior year came around he began to worry, he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. He thought about it a great deal and in the end he came to the conclusion that he wanted to see the world like his father did. He wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a great journalist.

His mother hated the idea and constantly tried to talk him out of it but nothing would sway his decision. He worked hard on essays and would spend all his time on filling out scholarship applicants. When one came back from Meadow University he couldn't believe it, he knew it was an Ivy League school and really only applied as a maybe. His sister's were ecstatic, happy they're baby brother would be making something of himself. Elliot's mother wasn't as happy, she wanted her baby closer to home where he would be safe.

The many years of living amongst Korea’s elite have perfected his charming and polite mask. Though the more observant onlooker can see his smile never really meets his eyes, and despite a lengthy conversation, much about him remains shrouded in mystery. Cassian never really gives anyone the chance, much preferring his distance and maintaining the enigmatic reputation he has around business partners and older, well-established strangers.

Among his peer-level acquaintances, he presents a less agreeable and charming face. On the day to day ambition and success drive him forward, his steeled focus on achieving his goals and being the best, make him often appear unemotional. When Cassian was born, and she received all the confirmation she needed about her loveless marriage she decided that a “comfortable” life wasn’t one she was interested in anymore and not one she’d force upon her son. After a couple of months of working out a convenient arrangement to avoid a messy divorce, Sooyeon relocated to Australia and began her career as a music teacher and a life as a mother.

Cassian’s fondest memories are from his time living in Sydney, and despite rarely seeing his dad, he never felt like he was missing anything from his home life. Cassian’s love for swimming and surfing was born in Sydne. Which he sucked at both initially, but his love for them outweighed his frustrations and crafted the hardworking and persistent attitude he has for overcoming challenges. The competitions for both sports started in his middle school years and while he wasn’t an overnight success, his steady improvement certainly paid off with his first win and then the many following it.

The summer between middle school and high school was the last he spent in Sydney. The agreement his parents had made so many years ago put a bad taste in his mouth when he was made aware of the “stipulations”. Reluctantly Cassian packed up his life in Australia and headed to the large estate his father owned and shared with the “new” family he had created. To say the least, High School was literally the worst time of his life, compared to the simple life he lived in Australia, Korea was hell. Expectations and reputation weighed him down with every step he took, his favorite past times were deemed as distractions to his necessary academic excellence. To prevent him from “wasting time” chasing after girls or “flailing about in a damn pool” Kyung-tae filled his schedule with after school academies, internships and skill classes. The only glimmer of hope that kept him going was escaping to America at the prestigious academy his father had chosen for him.

Cassian graduated at the top of his class with honors and test scores most kids could only dream about... like he was expected to. Despite the six months he had until school started he shipped out to America on the soonest flight after his graduation celebration and spent the time before the start of his freshman year exploring places like Hawaii, L.A, and New York.

The Macmillan girls have had the most remarkable, rapturous, and romantic lifestyle any child could hope for. They were and always will be grateful to their families (Macmillan - mother's side, and Aspen - father's side), especially their parents. From the moment they came into this world to now, they have been treated as if they were royalty. They're not. They're simply daddy's princesses. This has led to them having certain... personality quirks where they want only the best because they deserve it. High expectations, entitled certainty, and eloquently, blunt assertiveness. They are rarities, after all.

For all of their childhood, they were homeschooled, and while their father was the stay-at-home parent, their mother was building onto the empire that was the Macmillan fortune, as a renown fashion editor, critic, and a Pulitzer Prize winning writer. She's even appeared as one of the judges for the finale of the series, Project Runway. A successful role model, through and through.

Without a doubt, life was an adventure, and the smell was constantly in the air, giving the girls an insatiable wanderlust. Their father continued to challenge them and gave them guidance, in hopes they would feel secure with themselves, which came from a vulnerable place of his own youth. He wanted them to know that they were more than just pretty girls. That it was up to them to show the world what they were capable of.

While they traveled endlessly, having experiences that would last a lifetime, like backpacking across India or dog sledding in the arctic, they were filled with love and felt priceless... precious. Their father was always there whenever they needed him and their mother was such a strong, independent woman, who could be pretty, smart, and strong all at the same time. But most importantly, she could put her pride aside to dote on their father. They were perfect for each other.

In addition to that, when their mother came home from a long day's work, they would all snuggle up by the fireplace and read together. Their own family book club! Yes, they did watch things too, but reading was fundamental. It was obvious that family time was most important in the Macmillan household. No matter how busy you got, you never stopped trying to be there, for the ones you love.

Now, Junie is the eldest child, by one minute and seven seconds, and she has been known as the blazing star of her family because of how decisive and unrelenting she can be. Upbringing Synopsis

Ramona Michelle Martin, also known as Mona, is the second born child of Grace and Andre Martin. Along with Mona's three siblings, the family of six resided in a moderate sized home in Brooklyn, New York from the time Mona's older brother was born up until she was twelve years old; it was around that time that her father retired from the NBA and their family moved to Palm Beach, Florida so that they could be near the rest of the family. While Mona was growing up, her father had constantly stressed the importance of family to her and the rest of his children, which ultimately resulted in Mona loving being able to spend so much time around her large number of uncles, aunts, and cousins. She also felt very fortunate to have such strong bonds with each of her siblings, the strongest being with her older brother. And while never really jumping into any petty arguments between her siblings, Mona often acted as the mediator of the group.

It wasn't until Mona was in high school that she realized that she wanted to pursue a career as an executive chef. Like most people, Mona loved food, but it was during her tenth grade home economics class that she discovered her talent for cooking. She'd never been the best student (she graduated with a solid 3.2 GPA), and often skipped class with her friends to hotbox her car, but home ec gave her something to look forward to every morning when she got ready for school. From that point on, Mona spent countless nights searching up and trying new recipes for her family to try; she almost always received positive feedback. It came as no surprise to anyone when Mona decided to major in culinary arts at Meadow University. The school wasn't her first choice, and it surely costed her parents a lot more than they'd probably expected to have her enrolled, but her first two years spent at the college only made her appreciate her decision.
