Today is your first day at Matsubara High. Luckily for all who enrolled in the Hero class, that's your first class of the day today. Ms. Mako is sitting at her desk. She's already been here for half an hour, looking after her notes. This isn't just your first day. This is new for your teacher too.

Akane was glad she'd been able to decide her curriculum, but having notes left over by the previous teacher certainly helped. That said, towards the end, it was clear to see the former teacher had given up and the classes had gone from 'How to be a famous Hero' to 'How to be a cop'. She'd change that. These kids wanted to be Heroes, and that's what she was going to teach them to be. She wanted them to be successful. She wanted members of her class to reach the single digit ranks. Some newspapers had speculated she'd try to sabotage them because she was a Villain, but nothing could be further from the truth. She knew the value of Heroes, even to Villains. Maybe some of them wouldn't admit it, but the difference between a criminal and a Supervillain, was a good Hero. And in Mako's experience, good Heroes were getting rarer and rarer as the gap between the top ten and the rest widened.

She looked at the clock. Her students would be arriving soon.

Nadeko called the guard over, by waving her arms. She didn't have to wait long. Her arms were eyecatching. He took her ticket, and put it through the barrier. She thanked him, and then boarded the train. Today was her first day at a Hero school. Her parents still weren't completely on board with the idea. The fact her mom had to help her put on her uniform really wasn't painting a picture of competent Hero material. But Nadeko knew she had power, and potential. She was going to become a symbol of inspiration to all other mutant quirk users, to show them that they can. They're not disabled.

There was nowhere to sit on the train, so she had to stand. As she couldn't grip the bars, she put the and of her arm against one and used the tiniest bit of attraction. Just enough to keep her steady as the train turned round corners, or slowed down. An older businessman in a suit grabbed the same railing, and there was embarrassing clink as his wristwatch stuck to the pole. Nadeko blushed, and turned her magnet off.

"Sorry," she apologised meekly. The businessman, looked like he was about to say something, then saw her ams and shut up. There is was, being treated like she was disabled again. Still, it had its perks. Though using your quirk in public is against the law, mutants are by and large excempt from it as you can't 'stop using' a mutation. If people hadn't assumed Nadeko couldn't control the magnetism of her magnets, she'd have been in a lot of trouble by now, but most times it was her only way to interact with objects.

The rest of the trip happened without incident. Nadeko changed her shoes at the locker room, and then headed for the Hero class. She still didn't know what to make of a Villain teaching it, but surely they wouldn't have let it happen if she wasn't going to do a good job. She opened the door by pushing down in the handle, and stepped inside.

"Ohayo gozaimasu!" she announced.

"Morning, Maeda-san," Mako replied cheerfully, with a bright smile and closed eyes, looking much more like a chipper secretary than an ex-criminal. "Please, take a seat anywhere you like."

Donny woke up bright and early, against his better wishes. His Grandpa turned on the lights in his room making it impossible for Donny to comfortably sleep while he deliriously got out of his beg. His beg basically being one huge basket with a pillow inside of it. Crawling towards the bathroom Donny did his usual business there and did his best to awaken. He brushed his teeth, disposed of excess biomass, and put on some cologne. Then he joined to Gramps for their morning stretches with the neighbors. A bunch of other weird old folks who got up before the crack of dawn. At least they brought breakfast.

Indeed, the main reason Donny even gets involved in this dawn ritual is because the grandmas bring breakfast for everyone to participates. And Donny couldn't pass up a free meal. After limbering up he and his gramps ate today's breakfast: a steaming bowl of rice with a lightly boiled egg, seasoning, and soy sauce. It was a humble meal but a delicious one nonetheless. Donny and his grandfather chatted a bit about the first day of school, wondering if he was nervous. Donny wasn't too scared though: he made sure to visit Matsubara before so he knows how to get there, and even made shortcuts so he could avoid the usual traffic. He was a bit nervous about meeting new students since none of his middle school friends were going to attend Matsubara, but he would endure. His grandfather would wish him well before Donny would grab his school supplies, plus his lunch, and head out.

Even though Donny lived in the countryside things can get a bit busier once he gets closer to the train station. A lot of other students and adults would be here in the morning trying to catch a train, and Donny didn't care to wait in line. So he routed out a path where he could squeeze through some ventilation and pipes, bypassing the ticket counter and the line behind it so he would appear in a bathroom. Once he made sure there wasn't anyone in the stall he would simply walk out and continue onto the train. On the way he brought an onigiri from a food stall. "Pickled plums huh? I think that's a good sign." Soon Donny managed to find his train and squeezed in, doing his best not to literally get crushed by the amount of people trying to fill in.

As he waited Donny took out his cellphone to do his daily gacha. The train went past multiple landmarks for him to open fog gates and he did his day's quests to farm titanite and blood echoes. "Tch. Another Demon Hammer. Give me my Red Chunks I want my Chaos Zwei." Eventually Donny's train would arrive at his stop which he then got off and started making his way towards school. A few people stared at him, the strange blobby boy wearing a very loose fitting school shirt and a white mask, but these stares were normal for him and hopefully would be normal for these people as well. Donny continued to play on his phone until he finally reached school.

Matsubara High. Admittedly, not the best school Donny could've gone to. But it was the closest school that had a hero course. Most of the students here looked fairly normal aside from the occasional mutation type quirk, but the ones who did have mutation quirks looked really weird. "Maybe I can be friends with them. Weirdos got to stick together after all." Donny murmured to himself as he put his phone back inside of his mass and continued inside. Though he's already been to this school before on a tour, with so many students out and about it felt like a whole new world. It almost made him dizzy. Fortunately he kept a map and a syllabus of the place so he knew where he needed to go. Once he arrived he opened the door, making sure to leave as little of his residue body mass as he could, and entered.

"G-Good morning, sensei." Donny would bow his head towards his teacher, Ms. Mako, before he took a seat nearby.

Kousuke was already up and running before the sun had even peeked over the horizon. Unfortunately for him, Matsubara High was a few train stations away from his house. It wasn't anything new to him, his previous school was an hour train ride away and he used to ride with his father whose job was around the same area as well. The only reason why they haven't moved was because of his mother's job which was opposite of where they usually headed.

His mother laid down their meal for the day as his father rushed to start his own day. They joked around that he was getting a bit sloppy, not waking up from an alarm and all, over breakfast. It felt like Kousuke was still wearing his old uniform - but it was different now. He was finally in a Hero course, and soon, he'll be able use his quirk for good. He finished first and he collected his things for the first day of classes.

His parents bid him farewell and he rushed towards the train station. It was still pretty early in the morning so he had his jacket on top of his uniform. It was far too early in the morning for rush hour and he could count on his two hands how many people were in train with him. He sat down, placed his earphones on and leaned back. He has already taken this train a couple of times before, just so he can familiarize himself with the route he was supposed to take. Then there was a couple minutes of walking to be done right after to get to the school.

Nothing like your daily dose of exercise huh?

Kousuke woke up at the second station before his stop and the train was getting more and more filled. He stood up from his seat, giving it to someone else so he can stand by one of the doors. He was looking forward to meeting more people - new school, new faces, new friends after all. The school had assured him that his physical disability wouldn't be a problem at all. It was a great reassurance for both him and his parents. The last thing they wanted was to find another school that was even further than Matsubara High. As the doors opened to the last station, he quickly filed out with the others and began his trek towards the school. He spotted a couple of people wearing the same uniform and he idly wondered to himself if they were part of the hero courses or not. He even wondered how many of them are there - after all, the school wasn't exactly a top ranking hero school like, say, UA was.

The walk was surprisingly short - or he was stuck in his head for so long that he didn't even notice how long the actual walk was - and he found himself staring the gates into the school. Kousuke ducked his head down and continued forward with the others. Good thing there was a tour before this or else he would have been lost. Most of the others dispersed to regular classes until he was practically the only one walking down to the Hero Course classroom.

He opened the door and the teacher was already there. Hm. Maybe Kousuke should come earlier. Especially if they had clean up duties to do. He bowed towards the teacher and signed a 'good morning' before blinking and taking out his phone. He took off the earphones and then pressed a couple of things on it. From the speaker came the automated voice - ["Good morning."] Satisfied with that, he turned to take a seat. He made a cursory glance and there was a girl with magnets for hands and then a black blob.

He gave them a bright smile and a wave before he took a seat on the front row.

The walk from his small home on the other side of the city wasn't much one to speak of, and the morning was just like most others. School being school it didn't matter that he was going to a hero school so much as he was excited to learn, and see how things worked. Kouji was very interested in seeing what the school's teachers were like. It was like stepping into a new world full of incredible things but at the same time he didn't get accepted into U.A due to the strain he had on his mental facilities when he was using his quirk. But that being said he was glad he at least took the shot. Being rejected didn't even ruin is confidence, and he was determined to prove U.A wrong, or at least get a good enough education on how to join the police force so he could at least do something useful with his career. Even if he wasn't able to become a first responder being a cop meant he could still at least eventually get a chance at being useful to someone in this place. Even if it was a desk job it was better than being thrown into the heaping mess of show business...

When Kouji finally arrived at school his uniform was messy, and so was his hair but it was in passable shape they weren't wildly out of place it was just his shirt was unbuttoned, and his pants had gotten a little dirty on the way there to the train station. He waved at the teacher in front of class. "Hey! Names Kouji Majima! Nice to meet you teach! Sorry about being messy on the first day, and all! Never was a clean guy all things considered." he says enthusiastically. He didn't catch the names of the other students but he wandered over to one of the middle seats and plopped himself down.

Dulga Tarata

Dulga woke up to the sound of her cellphone alarm reminding her that today was the first day of school. After washing up she changed into her school uniform. Due to her anatomy it needed to be customized and looked more like a boy's uniform more than a girl's. Then Dulga went to her kitchen to have breakfast. "Dad was here... And he ate my cereal again." Dulga lifted up the extremely light box of Frankenberry, sighing before pouring what was left into a bowl with some milk. She turned on the TV and watched the news for a bit before she finished her breakfast and went back to her room to get the rest of her things. Her school bag, her bike, and a large black case. As she was leaving she donned her mask and cloak, closed the door behind her, and locked it.

Biking from her apartment to school didn't take very long. Most everyone in her neighborhood was heading towards the train station, so Dulga's bike path was left clear. On her way an old couple was trying to move a small freezer off the back of a truck and onto a flatbed. Dulga quietly parked her bike and helped them get the freezer off the truck before heading towards school again. Unsurprisingly it was busy. A lot of excited kids and busy teachers. Dulga just walked passed everyone, locking her bike onto the bike rack before heading over to the lockers to change out her shoes and head to class. She still kept her black case tightly gripped in her hand, not trusting even the school to safeguard her own things. Soon she would arrive to class without a word. It looks like everyone was picking their own seat so Dulga made sure to find a spot where she wouldn't get in the way of things. "I guess this is the hero class." She thought to herself as she read some news on her phone.

Acion Nakamiji

Life before sunrise was noticeably more peaceful than what he ever knew. The cold morning mist brushing through his face as the stretch of calm before the sun were to take it all away from him in a short while. Feeling the radiating light of the sun coming soon, Acion landed back on the ground, his six wings twitching briefly before he retracted them back to wrap nicely around his two sides. It would have been illegal if this was on public ground, unless in specialized training area, but thankfully Acion already had such a place right at his house. A field enough for him to express his bloodline's gift to the fullest, and he was going to take advantage of every minute of it.

After the exercise, Acion returned to his house, just in time when his older sister was also around. Unlike him, whose day was just beginning, her day was ending. She was still in her hero costume, her equipment just been taken off and laid on the counter next to the kitchen area as she was having breakfast, or rather a midnight snack for her. And her great attempt to still put up an impeccable appearance was falling apart as she gave a long covered yawn.

"Excuse me." She inadvertently blurted out.

"You're home now, you don't have to be so formal." Acion replied.

"Can't help it." Aurelia gave a short reply, as she brushed her long white hair. "Oh wait, today is your first day right?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna leave soon to catch the train."

"Aye, have fun. Also, take the keys with you." She reached for the key chains near her on the table and threw it to her little brother, who caught it perfectly with his hand. "I'm gonna finish this bun here and call it a night."

It was always nice to have a chat with his older sister, even if for just a quick bit. Hearing her stories about her heroic works were great ways to get himself used to the hero world. Especially now since she was working night shift, which meant they didn't get to see each other often. When he got back, she would usually be gone already, but hey that's part of hero work. It would probably fall down on him to do the task one day as well.

Acion left for school earlier than usual, expecting the coming train to be very crowded. It's the first day of school after all. And he was dead right. The first few stations were okay, considering they were close to the terminal station, but as the train was getting closer and closer to the city, more and more people began to board, and for Acion, whose mutant quirk took a little bit too much space on board, he quickly found himself standing near the entrance, where more...sizable things can fit in better.

But the claustrophobic atmosphere didn't last very long, as he soon reached his destination. If he wasn't certain of where to go, then the sight of other students wearing the same uniform as him were the sure sign that he was heading off in the right direction. Lots of students were chatting and trying to strike up conversations with each other, but the winged man just ignored all the commotions around him. He didn't find their conversations that enticing to begin with, considering they were mostly just small chitchats. That was the reason why while some might find themselves lingering around in the courtyard to hangout, Acion made his way straight toward his class.

"Good morning." Acion made himself visible as soon as he opened the door. With the door being a little thinner than he does, he had to turn a little sideway in order to enter. Briefly, he glanced around the room, looking at the students that just arrived. His first impression was...interesting. There were a lot of things he was curious about them, but for now, he gave them a quick wave before settling at the back of the classroom, since spaces were quite generous.

Yukari Yozakura

It took some getting used to living in this city. Yukari had spent so much of her time trying to set up a place for herself near UA, when they denied her she had to pack up as much as she could and ended up here. Living on the lam wasn't easy, even if Yukari was used to it. It was a good thing that old lady confused her for her granddaughter. That was the sort of luck that you only get in story books. But Yukari was going to make the best of it. The old lady, Chiyo, didn't seem to realize that Yukari was blind and Yukari didn't want the old woman to look too deep into it less she discover the truth, so Yukari did her best to act like a normal girl around her. It was good enough that she was able to get Chiyo to sign the papers she needed to attend Matsubara High.

"I'm leaving grandma! I'll be back afterschool!" Yukari shouted as she ran out of the door. The flower shop was very close to school, just down the street, so Yukari would have no troubles running to class. She was so excited, this was her first time actually attending a public school! She heard about all sorts of dramatic things that can happen at school and mentally prepared herself for these things. Especially a highschool. She almost wanted to jump in excitement!

Actually getting to class was really difficult though. While she's been to the school already, it was nearly impossible for her to navigate the place with all the various sounds and scents throwing her senses off. She was able to avoid bumping into people but it was almost impossible to find her class! The only reliable way she could think of was asking someone to guide her to class, but there's no way she can do that. How could she call herself a hero if she needs someone's help just to get to class? "Just take it slow Yuki, one foot after the other. You've met the teacher before so all you need to do is pick up her scent and you can go right to- Unya!" Yukari ran into a pole. Her face and body bent around the pole before she bounced back and walked around it. "I really hope no one saw that..."

"Good Morning! Nicsh to meet you! Carol Tenebaum reporting Shenshei!" She stood up straight and bowed to the teacher, her white hair bouncing, her metal antlers flickering with yellow lights, mittens going over her skirt.

Carol Tenebaum was early to class. It was typical for her. It was a point of determination, a point of pride. Before it made her just the teacher's pet. Just another nerd to go with the crowd. She decided she was going to own it. This was her chance. A new fresh start with a whole new Carol! She seemed to be completely head over heels for the opportunity.

"Good Morning! Nicsh to meet you!" When a dark mass entered the room, sliding/shuffling into his seat. Carol was one of those. Weirdos, outcasts. Even she right now looked strange. She had her blazer as a long sleeve. She wore leggings to the color of the school, and even the scarf. It was like she was prepared for winter.

"Good Morning! Nicsh to meet you!" Carol repeated in her nasally, lispy voice at the girl with strange hands and the boy that answered with a phone. She gave each of them a beaming smile with pink cheeks. Huge ruby red eyes past thick spectacles. Even her nose seemed to get a little colored as her antlers echoed her joy in colors of green blue red yellow. After alot of self reflection and encouragement from her family, it was good to let it all hang out. Let her freak flag fly. Besides, who didn't like a nice greeting and a light show? It was their first day in class. It should be a celebration.

"Good Morning! Nicsh to meet you!" She announced again to the girl with a hood and a guy with wings. First impressions were important, and while these two looked much more confident then she, she had to offer atleast something in return. She was a five foot nothing scawny little girl with a weird voice, but that's what this class was for right? To be heroes... err well, the syllabus said cops but it was a start. It didn't matter who came through that door, they were all in this together. She was not going to start this off on the wrong foot. Everything had to be perfect. Just perf-

She looked at her desk... where was her bag? She made a sound like that was half of a squeal and a bark. "AH! I musht have left my bag in my locker! Oh no oh no!" She scrambled to look for it, her lights all alarming and blinking in reds and purples like SOS lights. Class was about to start. She raised a hand. "Shenshei! May I be exshcushed?" She didn't wait for a reply before she suddenly ducked out of class, her skirt and scarf following her.

-----------------------------------

"Ahh there you are..." The antlers dimmed to a green along with her nose as she found her backpack, she must have left it there with the panic to get to class early. She grabbed it, swinging it over one shoulder, a number of little action figures attached to the zipper and the occasion sticker and sewed on piece. Apparently she was a fan of a kpop group and some popular animes. She gripped it with both hands before making her way back.

@Ryonara

There was a sound of distress when she made the turn at the lobby, another student was recovering after hitting a pole, her frame seeming to snap back to a normal shape after... molding around it. It was kind of disturbing, but also kind of cool. Still, despite all that Carol raced into action, immediately feeling like it was a call for aid. "Hey there. Are you alright?" her nasally voice asked. She stood with her leg slightly bent in, her head at a soft tilt, easy to notice by her antlers.

Running into something she didn't see, Carol's been there.

Unfortunate for Yukari, someone did see her run her face right into a pole. Actually, two someones, both coming in opposite directions. Junko wasn’t sure if she was seeing things correctly, blinking as she saw the girl almost mold around the pole, yet still smacking her face right into it. Then again, she wasn’t much paying attention to surroundings herself, muttering some soft words under her breath and generally trying to keep her head and gaze pointed downwards. First days were always so…tiring.

Junko was lucky enough that her house was only a few blocks away from Matsubara High. In truth, the close convenience was just another factor in enrolling; if nothing else, it translated into short walks to school every day, in and out. But she wasn’t aware there were others with such a short commute as well, and thus, she was treated with the sight of a girl smacking herself into a pole. She kept a hand to her mouth, trying not to laugh at the expense of others. But it was funny.

The sound of concern brought her attention forward and she noted another girl briskly coming up to Pole Girl. Junko tried not to stare at her antlers, but she also couldn’t help but think they almost looked like demon horns. Hmm. Perhaps that was a feature she could use in her hero costume? If she had the time, she might have considered taking out a pen and paper to jot that down, but she didn’t fancy the idea of being late on her first day. Besides, she figured Horny Girl came from the school anyway, so it wasn’t too far.

“Please watch your step next time.” Her words were almost severely quiet as she passed by Yukari and Noel, her advice meant for the former. She’d give each a shaky nod before continuing down her way to Matsubara High. By the time she got to Ms. Mako’s hero class, the room was already starting to fill up with students of all different shapes and sizes. If nothing else, this would be an interesting school year. “Mhm.” First impressions were everything. It was important, especially with a Quirk like hers.

“Eheh, good morning senpai…” Junko kept her eyes slightly downward with a crooked smile aimed at anyone who wanted to greet her; it was less a tactic and more just her natural expression. Right, right, where was it…one, two, three…. her eyes darted about the classroom, looking for the thirteenth seat specifically before happily claiming it as her own. It was common belief the number thirteen was associated with bad luck, and thus, it only made sense she’d start her enigmatic and spooky appearance here and now.

As Yukari was fixing up her clothes a voice called out to her. So someone did see her face plant into the pole. Yukari took a deep breath and tried to play it cool. As long as she doesn't address it it can be safely ignored. But just as she was about to speak someone else told her to be more careful next time. It was obvious that a lot of people saw her. The hairs on Yukari began to stiffen in embarrassment as Yukari subconsciously began red in the face, frightful that she just made a fool of herself in front of so many people. "Calm down Yukari calm down, just remember the stage. Even when you mess up the show must go on!" Yukari turned to the girl who spoke to her first, giving her a small smile to show she was fine. "I'm fine! I'm fine. I was just lost in thought. First day of school you know? I'm actually heading towards the hero class so I'm just so very excited, I'm really eager to show everyone what I'm capable of. Ah, I'm Yozakura Yukari. My friends call me Yuki."

Miharu Kido
The city does nothing more than mediate a sea of people who're a school of sardines rather in Miharu's mind it's a pack of koi fish in a big pond. Skip the formalities she thought, let it be known that the Onmyōji Hero would make a legend for herself than people prying in her past life. Miharu saw through to the noob introduction and skip right into the action.

"Aren't we all sharing the first day of school?" Miharu laughed erratically and apologized quickly for her intrusion in their conversation. Rather than pretend she came before them, she didn't hide the fact that she just got to class like those on the way.

Miharu gulped and contained her laughter. "My redundant apologies at the most random time, you see, you guys are dope and aha~ I really couldn't contain myself from laughing when I see everyone's thermal signature...added to the fact that my deluded vision make you all appear to be a laughing stock! Really, I'm so sorry~ "

"Yuki isn't it? You look like a Princess on my fantasized vision right now. Then girl with the eye bags looked like some Witch in a horror movie." Miharu bursted out laughing.

"The rest of you are extra, side characters — no offense and I'm rolling my eyes. I'm not really trying to insult anyone but I figured I make it clear to you guys that my quirk is just that. I don't usually reveal my name but you can call me, Fridge, the Onmyōji."

Alice Nova

It was still very much early in the morning and the sun had not even appeared yet. Regardless, many people were already awake and preparing for their daily routine, like school or work. This routine had been established for so long and most people get along with it just fine. From dawn till dusk, as they say, had become the norm for society. Some people had a really hard time getting used to it though.
An exemplary case of the latter phenomenon was Alice. Although she had finally woken up, it only happened after alarm number 7 out of 25 had rung. Before that Alice had gotten an amazing total amount of 3 hours of sleep! Just the right amount of time for the first day of school, right?
"I goddamn hate being nocturnal..."

Alice muttered to herself in between a few yawns as she made her way into the kitchen to eat breakfast. Luckily for Alice, her not-so-night-owl-ish mother had already prepared her breakfast in advance. "Thank youuuuu mother..." the girl said to herself. Both of her parents had already left for work- Luckily Alice was able to take a relaxed stance since she had no train nor bus to catch. Her living quite close to the school was awfully convenient, especially since she highly enjoyed taking her mornings slowly and relaxed. She ate her breakfast in a timely manner and used her time to read up on some social media meanwhile. Of course, she was always a lurker but never actually contributed anything, just reading was more than enough for her. She didn't even check the pages of her friends much really, it was rather a combination of fandom pages, news pages, and occasionally some meme pages as well. All in all, it would have been a very relaxed morning and thus a great start into her new academic environment was it not for her crippling tiredness.

Afterward, she prepared herself in the bathroom and put on her clothes, including of course her new school uniform. The girl took one last time to look at herself in the mirror, cleaned her glasses, and put them on. "It's as good as it is gonna get I suppose." Alice said to herself before grabbing her bag and leaving the house, locking the door behind her.
It was her first day of school in such a new environment and she was properly excited, albeit her outward expression didn't exactly show it. A possible side effect of her dreadful sleepiness.

It was only a fairly short walk to school and after about 15 minutes of walking, Alice had finally arrived. On her way to her classroom, the girl mostly ignored the things happening around her. She moved past a few students with a polite "Excuse me-" and entered her class only shortly thereafter. Upon having entered the classroom, Alice greeted the teacher with a bow and a quick "Good morning" before taking a seat. It would seem as though it was on a first come first serve basis, so she chose the window side in order to get as much light as possible.

Finally a smile and a conversation. Carol's antlers lit up in a pattern of yellow, her nose kind of did too, her quirk impulsively activating. Her smile beamed, eyes lit up under her glasses. She put her hands together, ready to bow."Hi Yozhakura Yukhari. My namesh' Carol Tenebaum. I hope I can call you Yuki too. I'm jusht Carol." She did pick up a little, she was in the hero class too. GREAT! "Oh that meansh' we're in the shame classh. Aweshome! It'll be great-"

@TheWendil

Suddenly a girl walked by, muttering something. She looked to be kind of shy, and also... very sleepy. There was a creep vibe coming from her and Carol noticed that the girl was going in the direction as the class. "Maybe she'shs in the hero classh-"

@Zuko

They were suddenly interrupted by a girl who... honestly she acted with a kind of flare that reminded Carol of one of those spoiled plastic jerks from her old school. Those that think the world owed them something. Carol immediately felt disdain for her as not only was she laughing at Yuki, but she hardly even seemed to acknowledge Carol. Calling her an extra. And just her... Since no one else seemed to be listening to them, but all she did was laugh at someone bumping her face.

Carol's lights flashed red before going dead. She picked her head up, turning up her nose. "Humph. It washn't that funny. Come on Missh Yukihari. Let'sh get to classh before it shtartsh." Lets see how Miss Fridge likes being ignored. That'll show her.

Back in class, Carol picked up the pace, honestly worried that class would have started without her. It didn't and her seat in the front row wasn't taken. She got back to her seat, her red backpack by the chair and she bowed to the teacher. "Shorry Shenshei." She then sat down, hoping that Yuki would take one of the chairs next to her. She would give her a little wave when she followed in.

Maeda Nadeko

Mentions: @Lucius Cypher

Nadeko watched several classmates enter one after the other. Some had wings, or horns. One of them seemed like they couldn't speak. But in the world of Quirks, none of these things were that unusual. But even among them, one of the students caught her eye. The one student she could say with confidence instantly made her feel normal. They were a large black blob. Nadeko had never seen anyone quite like them. What's more, they chose the seat besides her, and she realized she'd been staring in awe. She snapped herself out out it and turned away.

"Sorry if I'm being rude. I've just never seen anyone like you," she started, turning back to him. "Honestly, it's pretty cool. I'm Maeda Nadeko. This was the point when one would ordinarily offer a hand to shake, but Nadeko didn't even make a move to. She still seemed friendly and polite enough.

Donny nervously jiggled as more students started to come in. Most of them looked fairly normal, but some were stranger, with horns, wings, and even one wearing a cloak. Was she hiding some grotesque mutation like Donny? He didn’t want to ask, knowing that it can be rude to be so blunt. Then there were other more minor but no less important characteristics, such as the girl who doesn’t seem to have hands, the boy who spoke with his cellphone, and one who came in rather dirty. Maybe that was just a quirk of his?

As more and more students filed in, Donny figures the best thing to do was just to get comfortable. Doing his best to maintain his form so he doesn’t drip, Donny took out his cellphone and started playing some games. As he played he also reached into his bag and started eating some snacks, namely some chocolate mushroom biscuits made from his village. ”Oh, an arena. 1v1 me skrubs. What rings you got?” Donny mumbled quietly as he got really into his game.

As he was playing though someone was talking to him. He didn’t realize it at first, partly because he was really into his game, partly because he didn’t believe anyone would talk to him. When he glanced and noticed the girl with no hands actually chatting with him he because flustered. ”Oh! Um um hi! I uh... Wait what? I’m cool?” Throughly confused and caught on his metaphorical back foot Donny pulled his cellphone back inside of his mass as he tried to think of an appropriate responses. Then he remembered the wise words of his grandfather.

”Uuuuh right! I’m D- Ah, I mean, I’m Kinoko. Sekai Kinoko. D-Do you want a soda?” Donny produced a small can of cola from his black mass, which was somewhat lukewarm what with being inside of his body.

A couple more people had entered - some a bit odder than others, but it wasn't really something he should be worried about. After all, there were a lot of pro-heroes who didn't look like the norm and they turned out to be one of the best heroes there were. It made him think that maybe his own quirk was lackluster compared to the others... but, then again, there really wasn't anything he should worry about! Even if he doesn't end up in the frontlines, supporting a more aggressive hero is fine too. As long as he could do his part to help people, then that was more than enough... right?

The girl with antlers had come back again, still as jovial as ever. She sat closeby and Kousuke mulled over whether he should talk to her or not. It didn't seem like she off putted by the fact that he used a program to speak. That was a good start, wasn't it? After a second of deliberation, Kousuke leaned over and tapped her on the shoulder before looking down on his phone and tapping something to begin the pre-prepared introduction.. ["Hi! My name's Horiyama Kousuke, but people just call me Kou. What's yours?"]

He went back to his phone and typed something out before looking back at her. ["Are you lighting up because of your quirk?"] Kousuke remembered how bright she was earlier - literally! It's actually pretty amazing and pretty to look at.

Yukari Yozakura

Things seemed to go from not the greatest to slightly worse as another newcomer entered the conversation. The way she spoke perplexed Yukari. She started by laughing, probably at Yukari's collision with the pole, and then something about her vision and how Yukari was some sort of princess. She wasn't really sure what to make of any of it but it almost sounded rather insulting. However Yukari didn't plan to make any enemies on her first day so she just smiled and tried not to make much a fuss about it. "That's very interesting, Fridge-san. We should head to class before we're late." Fortunately it seemed like Carol, the girl who spoke to Yukari first, was also heading to the hero class and it was easy enough for Yukari to follow her.

Once they arrived to class Yukari was immediately able to pick up upon Ms. Mako scent, as well as the mixed scents of everyone else in the room. It'll take her a little bit of time to get used to them. Good morning sensei." Now that she was here Yukari went to find a seat near the front. While her hearing was fine enough that she could listen from the back, better to be up close so she doesn't need to strain herself listening. And now that Yukari was more familiar with the route she needs to take to get to class, no more mishaps like with the pole either! She didn't have much else to do but listen in on the conversation around her and wait for class to begin.

Acion Nakamiji

When he remarked that he had a lot of curiosity to be satisfied, he wasn't wrong. Lots of very...standout individuals immediately from first glance. Among those arriving before him, there was a guy who used a speaker to communicate. Acion assumed he was mute, or his quirk prevented vocal cord use, but aside from that he seemed like everybody else. There was also the girl with antler who gave everyone who came in a spectacular light show introduction, to which he admitted it looked quite nice. You probably need one of these classmates anyway to keep the spirit of everybody else up. A bit after Acion settled in his seat, the antler girl seemed to freak out about something, her antler sparkling SOS signals in different colors and interestingly in a pattern similar to Morse Code, before excusing the teacher and left.

"What a convenient feature..." He remarked to himself amusingly after she left. Whether or not that Morse Code pattern was a coincidence or intentional, that was quite cool.

And then there was the most interesting of them: the blob-like guy, or creature. Not only he was the most unique person in terms of appearance, that uniqueness made him hard to miss. If Acion wasn't wrong, he was from that rural area far out of the school where mutative quirk people are very common. Acion and his family were frequent visitors there, since the ancestry was a long line of mutative quirk users even though they looked a lot more...conventional. The area was quite a pleasant area as well, so during middle school the winged boy would go there often during weekends. They probably had quite a bit of crossings in the past now that he thought about it. Well, one way to find out about it.

"Hey...uhh. You're Sekai Kinoko?" Acion took off from his seat and casually made his way over to the black mass, who was talking to this girl with hands that are shaped like magnets. Interesting, but his attention was on the other guy.

"I'm just curious...have we seen each other before?"

Maeda Nadeko

Mentions: @Lucius Cypher@Conscripts

The black blob was stammering at being called cool, and it was awkwardly adorable. Still, it probably meant he was shy, and she'd just make him nervous if she was too friendly. Nadeko wondered why he was so shy, and why he reacted that way to being called cool. Maybe he, like, her, was here with something to prove to the rest of the world. To make a statement, that even with their quirks, they could be Heroes. He probably just needs to believe in himself a little more.

"Thanks!" she replied with a grin as she took the soda, gave a glance to the teacher, who glanced at her watch, smiles and shrugged, and then Nadeko tried to open it. Usually she asked her parents or friends to do it for her, but today, at this school, the last thing she wanted to seem to others was handicapped. So she placed the flat surface of her magnet arm, where ordinarily a wrist and hand might protrude from, against the top of the can. Very delicately, she tried to pull the ring tab, and only the ring tab. The entire can being metal was not making it easy. She bit her lip in concentration and was staring at the can as she tried to pull the ring tab and only the rind tab. There was a tiny clink, and she lifted her arm to reveal the ring tab had came clean off. Now th sode wasn't open, and there was no way to get it open without piercing the top another way. She sighed, and turned back to Donny, who was now in the company of a tall white-haired Bishounen with angelic wings. He was a bit too dazzling, so she didn't look at him and kept her attention on Donny as she held out the tab-less can.

"Kinoko, san? Can you, uh...Sorry, but can you open this?."

"Ah. Of course." Donny tried not to feel too dumb right now. Of course the girl with no hands can't open a can of soda. It was a good thing Donny didn't have a face or he'd look real stupid right now. Instead he simply reached out with a black tendril, but from the blacken mass a bony hand was pushed out. Gripping the edges of the can, Donny simply popped the tab in, doing his best to make sure he didn't leave any stains. "S-Sorry about that..." in the midst of the conversation, the one with wings approached Donny and seemed to already know him by name. Donny was confused at first until he got a closer look at the young man. "Wait a sec.... Nakamiji-san? Whoa. I didn't think know you went to this school!"

"I haven't seen you since what... Five, seven years ago? At Manoyama, that little village in the countryside. I forgot what the festival was called, but I know we were doing a fundraiser for our grade school. Your family showed up and really helped bring in donations! I remember my gramps making me try and talk to you and the other heroes, but I was kinda nervous. I've never actually met any pro heroes in person. Man you sure did grow up, I used to be bigger than you. " Donny fondly reminisced back to his younger years. Back when he was still getting used to living in Japan, getting used to his Japanese name, and in generally still trying to adapt to being himself. "Wow. Small world huh? I never thought I'd see you again, but I'm not surprised to see that you're part of a hero school. But uh..." Donny looked at Nadeko. It would be rude to just push her aside in this conversation. Fortunately Donny had an idea for a topic they could discuss.

Thus Donny produced another can of soda for Acion. "W-What brings the two of you to Mastubara? I-I can't imagine that you're here for just the hero course I mean..." Donny spoke quietly as he didn't want to offend, but surely these two would have had this thought pass through their minds before. "... Mastubara isn't exactly the best hero academy. I-I mean, it's like... Um... I just attend Mastubara since it's the closest high school near my home. Other schools would take much longer and they're harder to get into. So... Yeah. What brings you two to this school, and this class?" Donny hope he didn't sound too confusing dancing around his words like he did. He didn't want to imply that Mastubara is a bad school by any stretch but he was mostly just trying the hero course to see if it would be a good fit for him, lacking the confidence to apply to an actual hero academy. He couldn't imagine these two people lacking the same confidence to apply somewhere better.

There was a saying that for one to eat healthily, they must eat thirty different ingredients every day. Before him, however, Kouki could count forty, and all of this was just for breakfast. His mother, eyes bagged from an early morning but face beaming with an excitement that he couldn’t show as easily, patted him on the shoulder, encouraging him to eat.

So he did. It wasn’t like he was against good food anyways. He drank the miso, chewed on natto, flaked apart mackerel, cracked open an egg, tried an assortment of pickled vegetables, cleansed his palate with rice, tried out some porridge, mixed his sprouts with mayonnaise, soy sauce, and wasabi. And that was a quarter of the table. His father had his own breakfast of coffee and the newspaper, sipping quietly, while his mother continued to motion for Kouki to eat. “It’s your first day to high school, after all,” she beamed warmly. “I made you extra for lunch too, so make sure to share with your classmates, ok? Especially the girl you’re interested in!”

Kouki hunched his shoulders, his ears burning. He covered his thoughts in savory pudding instead, before grunting vaguely. Probably was a mistake to tell the truth, but it was worse to lie. Or maybe he was already pretty bad just for joining a hero class without heroic aspirations? He chewed on stir-fried tofu skin and crunched on julienned carrots. If the clock was accurate, there was another fifteen minutes before he would be late. Not nearly enough to clear the table, not when his stomach already felt half way through popping out. He looked up at his mother again, who had moved on to washing the gratuitous amount of dishes that such a breakfast would demand. She hadn’t eaten either yet. That made him feel slightly better to not finish his meal.

Someone else, however, didn't want such a defeatist attitude so early.

“C’mon and eat up, son.” His father, stubble-faced with a natural sneer, motioned. “Gonna need plenty of stamina if you wanna be a hero, yeah?”

Kouki looked at him, shook his head.

“Hey now, you can be a hero for just one special someone too, y’know?” The man drained his mug of coffee, before pushing away from the laden table and walking to his workplace, five meters away. “And if you ever need any advice, I’m always willing to lend an ear.”

“Mhm.”

“Of the romantic kind, of course. Can’t remember shit ‘bout high school sciences.” The man chortled, then plugged his headset in and began the hour-long process of replying to his e-mails.

“Nn.” Kouki continued to eat. Fifteen minutes passed, and he made it one-third of the way through the breakfast buffet. He had a good idea of what dinner was going to look like tonight, at least. The boy shrugged on his blazer, picked up his bag in one hand, and grabbed his lunch box with the other. The weight gave him pause; it looked like the amount one would pack for sports day. A whisper of a sigh seeped out from between his teeth. He could try at least. If others asked. They probably wouldn’t.

Sliding his chair back into the table, the gray-haired youth made off. He managed to open the door part way before he heard his mom speak up.

“Kouki, what do you say when you leave?”

“See you.” A pause. He should be thankful for the food. He was a first year high school student now. He could try making a more mature effort. “Have a good day.”

“You take care too,” she said, sliding over to give him a tight hug. “Make sure to take lotsa photos and show us later, ok?”

Better than having his parents show up like they had during middle school. Kouki nodded, then walked off. Down the apartment staircase, down three blocks, and there Matsubara High School was. Ten minutes away walking, a boring building that he had seen every day of his life here in this city. Other students filed into it, while salarymen headed the opposite direction, towards subways that would carry them into the business district, or perhaps an entirely different city. He slipped his headphones out of his bag, plugged them into his phone, put them over his ears, and continued walking to a remix.

The teacher manning the gates made a disapproving motion when Kouki passed by, but he couldn’t hear him, so he wasn’t going to stop for him either. Steps matching the beats of the song, he swapped his sneakers for slippers, strode into his classroom, nodded once at the teacher, beelined for a desk at the back, plopped his bag and lunchbox down on either side of him, as if erecting walls, and reclined on the chair.

It would be harder to see the board from the back of the class, but Kouki was willing to make the sacrifice this time around. He’d be able to see her from the back as well, after all.

The music continued to play, as the clock continued to tick down.
