who says this? "Sure, we put our lives on the line every mission but most dangerous of all...we risked our humanity to defeat them." it's in green, but I don't know who's dialogue is in green @Ithradine

I think the coloration is just do differentiate the line from Helene's normal speech. More of just a general quote if you will.
@Zarkun so what do i have to do to qualify to be a MEC?
I should have outlined that and meant to, but I didn't. So just say you're a MEC and give me the weapons you'd be using. Remember that everything ranged pretty much is plasma based.
@Zarkun how does this work? I was unsure about the weapons, wanted the flame throwers for close quarters anti infantry and basically a shoulder mounted cannon that could be used occasionally. I enjoy watching other people play XCOM but I haven't played it directly myself.
Equipment: - Gatling Plasma Gun - Shoulder Mounted Plasma Cannon. - Wrist Mounted Napalm Throwers. - Standard Issue MEC Suit Type 13 with Fire Breather color Scheme - Plasma cutter attached under right wrist, designed for non combat issues.
Backstory: Growing up just a few years after the war was a bit rough. The area his family lived in was almost entirely destroyed. Other than being careful about alien and old war debris his upbringing was rather uneventful. He grew up and learned with his brothers and sisters, his parents worked construction and in the local factories whatever they could to help build their community back to their former glory.
However this was until the old alien weapon activated. A bomb that didn't go off in the initial invasion until an unknowing construction team set it off while excavating. 4 city blocks where vaporized instantly with the destruction enveloping another 5 blocks surrounding it. He was nearly an adult, he almost was caught in the explosion. Roman got out unharmed but the rest of his family where either caught in the initial explosion or died in the rubble with many others.
He enlisted right after this happened. Somehow he cleared the medical exams and went in to the heavy fighters first, but found his calling in a MEC suit. This time he didn't have to give up his arms or legs, however he still jumped at the chance for a brain implant that would better connect him to his suit but had a high probability of effecting his memory. With this and enhanced eyes he took on the role of a MEC suit operator.
Even with this he is still quiet around other people outside of combat and has difficulty understanding certain situations in social gatherings. His implant helps him excel in his suit but it dampens his humanity slightly. Along with this he still suffers from night terrors and sometimes extreme headaches or migraines. If you were to ask him why he took those experimental augments his answer would never change, "So others don’t have too."
A strong man with a strong build, blond hair and green eyes. he's not the best looking fellow but he knows what he is doing when it comes to the MEC suits. he stands right at 6 foot with more than a few scars adorning his muscled frame.

So a first important thing, for some measure of gauging how much damage a full impact shot would do, how does he get into and out of the MEC suit? Also, from the front or the back? Or is he a get in from the top type? As for weapons, it all seems fairly standard, though typically the "flame" throwers are called napalm throwers now. I...admittedly haven't decided on the route I want to take futuristic incendiary weaponry. There are many and they're all so good.
Continuing, arguably the Type 1 mech suit requires the removal of legs and arms, so this would be a Model 13, or MK 13. They're more customizable and don't require the removal of limbs. Just a clarification thing for me, but can he store, for lack of better wording, the shoulder cannon? Doesn't have to be, just wondering what you think on it. The only other thing is since you're our first MEC, did you have thoughts for an advancement line for MEC troopers?
@Zarkun mm ok i will make the adjustment to mk13 on the sheet. as for entry I figured into the back sort of like how they did it in Anthem. ill also change the flame throwers as well.
as for the cannon i figured it would be retractable would fold neatly onto his back right shoulder.
with the advancement, i put that flavor text there because i wasn't entirely sure but with him, i think going towards something akin to a super heavy MEC one that could rival that of a sectopod.
@Zarkun yeah that sounds like its right up his alley. ill leave it to you for the description but other than that i dont have anything else to add. other than i was planning on having his augmentations in his mind make him better at piloting and using his MEC efficiently but he can sometimes be more computer than human. if that makes sense, as like you said its a price to pay for having the suit.
